Shattered

Shattered
--------------
Scootaloo watched ponies go by from a safe distance. A trashed ally to be precise. She saw Sweetie Belle go with Rarity, and into an Ice Cream Parlour, whilst Applebloom and Applejack went and set up a stall in the market. Twilight walked with Fluttershy, talking about rare magical animals. They went into a café, and, from the looks of it, they ordered two drinks.
This was all Scootaloo had to do, watch and listen. It wasn’t very interesting, but it was something. She got her scooter, which seemed to share the ally with her, and inspected it. Scooters had always seemed to fascinate her. She ran her hoof along the handles and wheels, checking for malfunctions. There were none, unfortunately for Scoots. If there had been, it could of given her something to do. When thinking about something to do, she thought of Rainbow Dash. Grabbing her purple and white helmet, she set off.

The town was crowded, but this was no challenge for Scootaloo.

“Dodge in, dodge out, mind the loose branch, jump” muttered the orange filly.

Pinke (somehow) managed to hoof her a cupcake whilst she was riding. She thanked the energetic pony, and when she got further on her journey, she stopped, and savoured it. Scootaloo had took one big bite of of the delicacy, but she remembered that her food was scarce and savoured it, nibbling round the edges, and, eventually, nibbling at the wrapper. She got up off the ground, dusted herself off, and turned to face the clock tower. 11:30. She had hours and hours to spare, but she still got on the scooter after putting the cupcake wrapper in a nearby bin.
When she was riding, she thought of how Rainbow would feel about her visit, I mean, Scoots had visited for the last, 1,2,3,4,5- five days; nevertheless she still journeyed on.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
“Phew, finally!” said the purple maned kid, as she got off her scooter.
Scootaloo was below the house of the awesome Rainbow Dash. She was in awe of both the mare and her magnificent house. A masterpiece in the world of architecture for sure, the house complimented Rainbow Dash’s ‘awesomeness’ as the cyan pony said herself. It was made entirely of clouds, something that amazed everypony. Nothing compared to the pools of rainbow, the rainbow waterfall and the pillars that held the house together. The clouds were a pure white, different from that of storm clouds and they seemed to always stay in shape. And, there, in the window, was the fastest flyer in Equestria herself!

Scootaloo fangirled before proceeding.

Scoots took a deep breath, and prepared to yell her idol’s name, as she knew her normal voice couldn’t be heard in the cloud home. A shame Scootaloo’s wings weren’t fully functional, otherwise she might of flown up there and just of knocked on the door or more professionally , rung the doorbell. Oh well. R.D had promised to teach her how to fly anyway. ‘She would keep her promise, wouldn’t she? Well, yeah, she’s way too awesome to break a promise!’ thought Scoots.

Scootaloo was starting to go very, very purple, so she shouted for the sake of survival.

“DAAAAAAAAASH!!!!!????” screeched Scootaloo. Her sharp sense of sound allowed her to hear a sigh, and the cloud door slowly creak open. Maybe it wasn’t such a good idea to come here…but she was here...and she couldn’t just run off….

“What?” sighed Rainbow Dash from her cloud home.

“I’m getting tired of you just appearing, you know. Can you make this quick? It’s almost time to feed Tank.” Dash continued.

“Rainbow Dash! Hi! Can you teach me how to fly now?” said the filly, ignoring the lecture her idol just gave.

“Urgh…not today sorry.” The mare said quickly

“Can I at least-“

Dash snapped

“GO AWAY, AND STOP PESTERING ME; FOR CELESTIA’S SAKE, AM I A TOY TO YOU? TO PLAY WITH WHEN YOU WANT TO? JUST GO AWAY! I DON’T WANT YOU HERE, I DON’T WANT YOU NEAR ME AND IRRITATING ME WITH EVER SOUND OF YOUR VOICE! JUST.GO.AWAY”

Scootaloo absorbed this and her eyes pricked with tears, while Dash’s narrowed with anger. She quickly slipped on her helmet, not bothering to secure it. She boarded her scooter without any caution, and well, scooted off, her tears trickling down her face and crashing down on to the path below. She felt unloved, and the world around her spinning fast didn’t help her feelings. Abandoned by the only pony that ever cared for her. Abandoned by the only pony that NEVER cared for her, more like.

She heard the door (softly) slamming behind her. This left her on the impact that Dash never wanted to talk to her again. Unfortunately for her, this was true. Rainbow Dash, at that moment, was showing no regret, even if her body was trying so hard to show guilt. In other words, she left the broken toy out in the rain and stamped on it with her bare hoof. And never cared. But the toy did. Scootaloo, she cried, her sobs silent, and she just felt depressed. Now happy memories meant nothing to her. Shattered is a better word to describe this. Everything shattered. Things she cared for and didn’t give a toss about. Shattered. And a shattered window is worthless, just pieces of what they were meant to be. But a window never shatters on the spot. Somepony has to push it, punch it, abuse it.

Scoots was just about to crash into a tree due to her eyes being blurred with tears, but luckily she leaped of the scooter and onto the ground near the river. The scooter didn’t get damaged too badly, but she let it sitting near the tree on the ground, not bothering to pick it up. Instead she stared into the river, until a hoof tapped her on the back.

Pink fur, darker pink mane, blue eyes, gentle smile.

Pinkie.

“Need a hoof?”

Maybe somepony did care.
