A Brush with Beauty

Epilogue

Rubber soles clapping on tile floors.

White walls, florescent lighting.

Hallways stretching past big, open rooms.

Voices here and silence there, but always busy movement.

On the wall, hanging still, a square of blue. Next to it, a square of green. Next, red. Then pink. Then white, brighter even than the walls.

And past them, a room filled with more colors still. Sometimes the same colors again, but with brighter paints, or backlit, or rendered in glass and searing neon. Installations of wood and paint and dye and metal, all of them bright and colorful.

And in the back, a final square, more voices around this one than the rest.

A small plate on the wall beside reads
