Chapter 2: Ponyville Recon

We had been walking for little under 2 hours, then we finally got near the forest entrance our music still blasting. Though we could have arrived earlier if not for two small detours, we had to make. The first one was a giant field poison joke we had to walk around. The second one was Zecora; we were pretty close to being, found by her, when she was out finding ingredients. Well I think she look for things, for her potions. To stay hidden snuck in a bush turned the music off. But we got extremely lucky, that she did not see us, then she walked by the bush we were hiding in. I could almost feel my heart stop then see looked directly in it, and into my eyes, it was terrifying. However, she walked away and didn´t look back and after few minutes we made our way again to the forest entrance.

But, during our travel through the forest, I couldn´t help but feel, that something was odd about the forest like it was to quiet so then we got close to the entrance. I decided to ask Oliver about it.

“Hey Oliver, have you heard anything this past hour?” I asked him.

“No I haven’t, why?” He answered

“Well I think that´s the problem, we haven´t heard anything. This is Everfree Forest is it not, home to Manticores, Timberwolfes, Cockatrices and other fucked up things I would not even think about. So why haven´t we seen any of them? Or at least been mauled by any of them? The least one I’m happy about not having occurred, since we don´t want me to bleed.”

“Your right Black, we haven´t seen any of those things and the only other living we have seen has been Zecora. So do you know why we haven´t anything but a Zebra.”

“I think you`re doing it Oliver”
“ME!” he yelled right into my ear. “How?”

“Yeah you.” I say. “Since you´re in Sombra´s body you obviously have all his abilities. In his body, you produce high amount of fear, leaking off your body and I think that’s what keeping the animals off our backs. However, it didn´t work on Zecora, so I think it only works on things with a lower brain function and in a certain range, unless you can increase the effectiveness of the fear toxin, which I think you can?”

“How do you know that’s it´s fear?”

“It´s because I´m a Changeling Oliver, I can taste and eat emotions, and if you want to know, fear taste like marshmallow ice cream. Though I does go nice with love you´re giving me, it tastes like bubble gum ice cream.”

“So I give you love… Wait what!”

“Yeah of course you do that, what do you think I´ve been running for past 2 hours, definitely not food for I´m getting hungry. Guess Changelings do need other things than love too work, so there is a reason for the fangs.”

“Yeah I´m hungry to, but what can we eat.”

“We could eat the fauna, it would work since we are ponies now or at least you are. But we have to wait until the get to the forest entrance okay.”

“Black we don’t have to do that were at the entrance so can we eat?”

“Yes we can”

The both us sat down and began to eat. Oliver had found some flowers and some fruit. I had found some tall grass and some very big leafs. Though I never thought I someday would eat grass, and it was actually good, it didn´t active any gag reflex or something like that. While we were eating, I began formulating a plan of how to enter Ponyville. However, my thoughts was cut off then Oliver began to talk

“So Black, after we are done eating. Do we just walk into town?”

“Yes Oliver, of course we are just going to waltz straight in to Ponyville. It´s not like we’re going to cause any panic” I say with a smug as smile while waving my hoof at him.

“You´re being sarcastic aren’t you?”

“What I am, but I´m being serious now Oliver,” I say with a very cold and stern look on my face. “If we get discovered prematurely, it could end very badly for us. Twilight could send a letter to the Celestia, she would find us, and banish us to the moon, or she would send me to the dungeons and they would blow you right the fuck up, like Sombra before. So that`s why I´m going to town, disguised of course trying to get some information and find out when we are.”

“Okay then, so that am I gonna do in the meantime. Oh and you so look like Twilight then your worrying”

“First hey, second you are going to stay here and practice your magic; so you can make crystals and go in to shadow mode with ease, and also stay out of sight if you see anypony. Now then stay back, I´m going to try to make a disguise.”

I began conjuring pictures in my head, trying to activate my disguise ability. It seemed to be working as green and black flames appeared under me, and began enveloping my body in a pillar shape. The flames weren’t hot or cold, they were just soothing and nice. That felling only lasted a few seconds and then the flames were gone.

“Oliver what do you think?”

While we were sitting down eating I asked Black what we were going to do, and he said he was going into town to try to get Information, and just check out Ponyville in general. Which I was extremely jealous about since I couldn’t while in this body. Fuck you Discord man, what was troll move to put me in Sombra´s body.

“Now then stay back, I´m going to try to make a disguise.” Black said, and I complied and stepped back from him to get him some room.

Black was standing still with his eyes almost closed. Then green and black flames appeared under him, engulfing in a pillar of fire. But they there going as soon as they came and there no longer stood a Changeling. But a unicorn stallion with a light brown coat and a spikey silver mane, with yellow eyes. However, his coat was still on his body so I couldn´t see what his Cutie Mark was.

“Oliver what do you think?” Black asks me.

I look at him for a few more seconds and say, “You look like yourself ponified; but I can´t see your Cutie Mark because of the coat. So to see it you have to take it off.”

“Oh okay, I think it´s also a good idea to take it off since ponies don’t wear clothes, and it will make me look less suspicious. So how to take this thing off.” Then for next minutes, he struggled to take the coat off, but he finally got it off ten minutes later. He then handed it to me and said, “Good finally got it off. Now I be going, remember practice your magic and if you’re bored you can use the phone it has 10 hours of battery life left. So no wasting okay, so see you in a few hours.”

He when begins walking out of the forest and towards Ponyville. Then he turned, I got small a look at his Cutie Mark it was a chemistry flask with an atom on it. Fitting I say so myself, so after Black left my field of vision I began to work on my magic.”

I had just left the forest and I was making, my way a long dirt road. I could see Fluttershy´s cottage of to the side, a bit away from the entrance I came out. As much as I wanted to see her, I couldn´t not yet anyway. After walking, I had made it to Ponyville and it was glorious to see it in real life, it made me happy and put a smile on my face, as I walked through the front entrance.

Walking through Ponyville had to be the hardest thing in my life. I just had irresistible urge to hug everyone, but I managed to control myself. In addition, walking through Ponyville was confusing, it was hard to remember there everything was, so I had to ask around to know there the library was. For I thought the best thing was to get some information on Equestria and learn some spells from Twilight hopping she would, the last thing was also so I could see if she was a princess or not.

Thankfully, I got some direction of there to go from Lyra. As I made my way to the Golden Oaks Library. I began to think it was odd what I hadn´t seen Pinkie Pie yet, at the same time I was glad and disappointed. Since I want her, to throw a Welcome to Ponyville Party, for me. But I don´t want to break her heart by saying she couldn´t do it. For I don’t want Pinkamena Diana Pie on my ass.

I finally found library, and it was fantastic, the library was inside a giant tree and I had no idea how it was even alive, conclusion: Magic. I walked up to the door and knocked on it to be polite, but nobody answered. As I leaned my ear towards the door, I could hear someone running back and forth, while talking very fast. Which I could guess was Twilight having another fit, so I decided to knock harder and longer than before until someone yelled.

“Hold it I´m coming!”

A few seconds later the door opened and before me stood Twilight Sparkle one of the most powerful that has ever lived. But she wasn’t in her usual glory, well to put bluntly she looked like shit. Her mane was a mess; there were dark rings under her eyes and her purple coat was dirty. However, the biggest concern was what she didn’t have her wings, so immediately knew we were in the middle of season 3 I hoped.

“So, what do you want?” she said with a very harsh voice.

“Well I´m here to read book, this is a Public library is it not?” I say with a big as smile on my face

“Oh I´m sorry please come in.” Twilight said as her voice returned to its usual cherry self. I began walking in to the library and was amazed for the third time this day of awesome this was, but the library itself, was a mess. Books were everywhere on floor, table, couch and the chairs together with lots of paper and notes laying with them. As I continued to look around, I saw Spike trying to sort the books out. He saw me and waved his claw at me, I waved back. I turned around to face Twilight, to ask where a book with spark spells where at; but before I could ask, she began to speak.
“I´m so sorry for mess sir, I have been up all night studying for the Princess. For last night the Princess sent me a letter telling me that two meteors landed in the Everfree Forest last night and she asked me to study them.” At that, all color disappeared from my face as I realized; she was talking about Oliver and me landing in Equestria. “Sir What´s wrong, you look kind of pale?”

“Yeah I´m alright Twilight. So are you leaving soon to try and find the meteors?”

“Yes I am, though only leaving I about 3 hours I still need to prepare some stuff… Wait how do, you know my name, and I´ve never meet you before.”

Shit, she noticed my slipup. Think, think Black, find a way out this got it. “Of course I know who you are. You are Twilight Sparkle, the element of magic and one of Celestia´s private students. You beat Discord and saved the Crystal Empire. Who doesn´t know who you are.”

“What do you mean I´m one, of her students.” Shit again. Okay I need to be care full this time.

“I thought you knew that, you´re were not the first one. She have had many students over the years. I think the name of the one before you was Sunset Shimmer. But she mysteriously disappeared many years ago, and nobody has found her.”

As I looked at Twilight, she was in shock her eyes stood at full attention. I could see her trying to unshackle my words and analyze them in details. She tried opening her mouth to say something, but she couldn´t she tried repeatedly, but nothing came out. Had I seriously just shattered her mind; did she really think that she was the only one. I could see it in her eyes, yes she did she believed that in Celestia´s long life she was the only student she ever had that she was special. Twilight you are a clever girl, but sometimes you´re just stupid. After sometime, she began to speak.

“Wh-whats interesting I did not know that. So that book do you need sir, oh and can I learn your name please?” She says while stuttering a bit.

“If you want to know my name?” I say, “Its Blacklight and I would like a book on spark spells.” I decided to add a bit to my name to make it sound more ponyish.

Twilight went over to one part of the book self and pulled one out with her magic the title said. Intimate Guide to Magic Part 2: Elemental Magic “Here is your book, spark spells are on page 394 and do you plan to take it with you?”

“No I do not, so do you have a place there I can sit and read?”

“Yes I do. SPIKE!” She yells; the purple dragon stands to immediate attention. “Could you clean the couch please?”

“Yes Twilight.” Spike says as he begins to remove the books from the couch and places on the floor.

“Once again I´m truly sorry for the mess.”

“No problem Twilight, your just doing your job as Celestia´s student no one can blame you for what.” I Say to her; as I take the book out of her grip and begin to move towards the couch. Which Spike already has cleared, damn he works fast. “Twilight you can continue your studies, I won’t bother you at all.”

“Thank you.” She says walking over to Spike and helping him put the books back the self.

I go over to the couch, I sat in it, in a very human like fashion like the one Lyra does with my hind legged crossed, and for hooves behind my neck, which to my surprise didn’t cause any discomfort. I open the book with my magic, turning to page 394 and begin to read.

An Hour had gone by, I had finished reading, and I had learned how to use the spell. By practicing on some instruments, Twilight had led me use. Twilight herself had finished cleaning up and was currently talking to Spike. They spoke very low but I could still hear them clear as day, guess my new body came with improved senses. In the hearing department at least couldn’t tell with the others. I could hear what their conversation was about mom here.

“So Twilight, don´t you think what guy is a little strange. Look at how he sits.” Spike said.
“Spike! You shouldn´t talk like what about other ponies. Sure how he sits is a little odd but, Lyra also does that, maybe he´s a human fanatic like her.” I chuckled at that one. “Still something I definitely different with that stallion. A unicorn like him should know a basic elemental spell like spark.”

“Maybe he didn’t bother to learn about it. Because he didn’t need to know one until now.”

“Maybe Spike, Maybe. But there is something wrong with him.” Damn, can she sense I`m not a pony.
“What do you mean Twilight; what is wrong with him?”

“I don’t know Spike it’s just a gut feeling I have. For I have never seen what stallion before neither in Ponyville or in Canterlot.” Damn you Twilight Sparkle and your brilliant mind.

“Well maybe he´s not from Canterlot, but another city like Manehattan?” Thank you for saying that Spike.

“I thought so to put if he was a new pony, He would have meet Pinkie Pie already and she would have given us an Invitation to his Welcome to Ponyville Party, and if we don´t have that. What means what he haven´t meet Pinkie Pie, when he came into town? For her Pinkie Sense would tell her, what a new pony is in town.” Fuck.

“So wait Twilight are you saying he´s not a pony?” Fuck times two.

“Maybe, I don’t know Spike. I should ask him some questions.” Okay, you can do this Black. After they there done talking, Twilight began walking over to me. Immediately grabbed book again to make it look like I was still reading. After a few seconds, Twilight stood in front me, her big eyes going back and for examining me and finally decided to break the ice. “So Blacklight There do you come from? For I´ve never seen you in Ponyville before?”

“Well since you asked so nicely, I guess I answer your question. I lived on a farm, that’s just outside of Trootingham,” I lied. Well some of it was true.

“Okay, so what did your family grow on the farm.” Oh, this is going to be good.

“Well my family didn’t grow anything on the farm. We only owned the house; the land around it belonged to somepony else.”

“Well when what did your family do then.”

“My dad was a baker, my mother works in a kindergarten and my siblings still go to school.”

“They sound like nice ponies. So what are you doing?”

“Yeah, they are the best family I could ever wish for. And what am I doing, well I just finished university and got my degree, together with my best friend. Now what about you?”

“Me!” Twilight exclaims with surprise.

“Yes you Twilight Sparkle, you look like you could use some sleep and a bath.”

“I can´t I need to go find the meteors soon. Princess Celestia said I need to do this”

“Twilight please? You need to rest, going like this isn´t healthy for your body. Besides it´s not like the meteors will go anywhere, if you rest.”

“You know what Blacklight, you´re right I need to rest, and is there anything I can do for you.”

“Well do you know if somepony is hiring right now and there to get a saddlebag.” I ask Twilight

“Well for jobs you can always try Sweet Apple Acres, Vinyl Scratch´s club and since you have a degree you could try and ask Cheerilee for a job at the school and for the saddlebag why do you need it, don´t you have one already.” She answers back with slight curiosity in her eyes.

“I had one but it got torn to pieces, so now I need a new one,” I lied. “So There can I get one.”

“Blacklight how about this. I go and to a bath and sleep for some hours and when we go to my friend Rarity and ask her if she can make you a new bag and then you, my friends and I can go to the meteors. Does that sound like a plan?”

“Yes it does Twilight,” with that she began to walk to stairs and up on the second, but before she does I shout to her “TWILIGHT!” she turns around and look at me, “I think this is the beginning of a good friendship don´t you think so?”

“Yes I do Blacklight, yes I do. So see you in a few hours.”

“What we do.” I reply, she then takes her leave and goes upstairs. I then turn my attention to the baby dragon who was still standing there Twilight had left him. Then a mischief of an idea popped in my mind “So Spike do you know how to play cards.”

A few more hours had gone by since Twilight went upstairs to rest. I had also read a few books on Equestria itself mostly geography.

Spike and me also played a lot of cards mostly 500 it´s the only card game I´m good at. Spike also helped me learn how to play poker, and well let’s say if I had bits on me I would be broke. Right now, we are discussing things about Spike´s life.

“So what´s how you came to know Hoity Toity, interesting.”

“Yeah and it was awesome!” Spike said happily, throwing his arms up in air.

“Indeed it sounds like it was, so Spike do you know what the clock is.” I ask.

“Yeah it´s,” Spike when looks at the wristwatch he was wearing, which I didn’t notice he was wearing until now. “3P.M right now.”

“Okay, so when do you think Twilight is done slee-”I stopped talking when I heard someone coming down the stairs. I turned around and saw Twilight standing at foot of the stairs. Her body back to pristine condition. “Well, well, well. You definitely look better than before.”

“Thank you,” Twilight said with little blush appearing on her muzzle. “Now Spike could you make some daisy sandwiches, before we leave. For I´m getting hungry.”

“Oh and me to Spike if you would.” I said to him

“Of course,” Spike said “It be done in a few minutes.” He jumped of the chair and began running towards a door, I guessed let to the kitchen.

“So Blacklight. What have you and Spike been doing while I was sleeping?” Twilight asked me with a smile.

“Well I read some more books. Spike and I played cards and he told me about his life. He´s a good boy twilight you’ve raised him well, but you should thin out his chores a bit.”

“Really now you think I should go easy on him?”

“I can´t tell you what to do with him, I´m not his mom.”

“MOM! Do you think I´m his mom?”

“Yeah, aren´t you. You hatched him and I see your relationship as a Mother/Son rather than Sister/Brother.”

“Maybe, I need to think on that.”

“Food!” Spike says as he walks back into the main room with a tray full of sandwiches.

“Thank you Spike,” I say. As I grab a sandwich with my magic. I hold the sandwich in front of me, I examine it for a bit, and I take a bite out of it. “Tastes better than I would have expected.”

“Huh, you´ve never had a daisy sandwich before?” Twilight asks me with a surprised look on her face.

“No I haven’t. For my mom wouldn´t, make them. She says they are dull and boring. Though then I see her again, I have to prove her wrong.” I answer and lie at the same time.

“He, you´re right about your mom being wrong,” Spike, says with his mouth full food.

“Spike?” Twilight says as she yaps him on his shoulder. “You’re being rude.”

“It´s fine Twilight” I say to her, while taking another sandwich. “I think so to. So now that we are done eating, can we go now?”

“What do you mean done eating?” Spike looks at me confused, “There are still a few-” Spike looks at the trey and see, that there are no more sandwiches on it. “-did you eat all of them?”

“I regret nothing!” I said, as I swallowed all the sandwiches I had stuffed in my mouth, without Twilight and Spike noticing.

A few minutes later I was standing at the door waiting for Twilight, to finish packing equip to analyze the “meteors” and for spike to finish cleaning. Finally, they come to the door and ready to go to Carousel Boutique. We go outside and see that where is full of life in Ponyville. I just take in the sight, I begin to chuckle a bit, but Twilight, and Spike doesn’t notice. After walking for a bit, without talking I stop and begin to wonder, what Oliver is doing right now and if he´s okay.

“Blacklight are you okay you kinda froze for a minute there.” Twilight asked, she had noticed I had stopped walking.

“I´m fine. I´m just wondering what Oliver is doing right now.”

“Oliver is that your friend you mentioned before.”

“Yes, that’s him.”

“So where is he right now?” Twilight asked.

“Well right now he´s in the Everfree Forest testing a new spell for me.” I lied but there weresome truth to it.
“THE EVERFREE FOREST!” Spike and Twilight yells at the same time. Almost blowing out my eardrums.”

“Could you two keep it down you almost blew my ears out.” I hiss at them, while messaging my ear.

“Sorry,” Both of them apologizes.

“But what kind of spell is he testing?” Twilight asked. I could see, curiosity blooming in her face.

“Tell later at Rarity´s shop. For now we should just go.” I Say, “For we´re attracting a crowd,” And it was true after their little outburst. A few ponies there gathering around us.

“Yeah, you´re right come one the both of you.” Twilight says with a rather commanding tone.

So while walking I still wondered, what the heck was Oliver doing right now.

“Ugh I´m so bored. Black then are you coming to get me. I´m done with practicing magic I can make crystals, go into shadow mode and I even got the death laser working. Though then I did go shadow I think I swallowed a bit of myself, for I think my mane was shorter then I returned to normal.” I say to myself.

“Great now I´m so bored, I´m talking to myself about what I did the last two hours. Seriously who does that?” Yeah I´m bored. Right now I´m doing freaking push-ups.

So doing that for a few minutes. I look over to Black´s coat laying in the dirt. I wonder what else did he find then he checked it before. I go over to check the pockets for normally he carries the strangest things and he doesn’t know why he does have those things on him.

“Now let’s what things are in you today?” There are four pockets on the outside and two on the inside. “Okay what´s in the first one. Oh his phone. Number 2 is… A lighter, Black why do you have this you don´t even smoke. Third is the lucky one, oh a multi tool. That’s gonna be handy. Number 4 is… Empty dammit. Okay onto the inner pockets. So in these are, a mars bar and his PSP. Well I´m no longer bored.” I take the PSP in my magic and turn it on. It has full battery and there is a game in it. “So what game is in you today? Oh Birth by Sleep FM.” I squeal in joy “Now mysterious Figure your ass is mine.”

We had arrived at Carousel Boutique. The place really did look like something out of Victorian England then you get to study it up close. We went up to the door and walked in; inside I could hear someone whistling a tune I did not recognize. Then we closed the door, Rarity greeted us.

“Hello and welcome to - oh hello Twilight, Spike and who, might you be?” Rarity asks, her face says she surprised to me see when I came in with Twilight.

“Rarity this is Blacklight and he would like to know if you could make him a new saddlebag, since the one he had got destroyed.” Twilight answer her.

“Oh, I can do that. So Mr. Blacklight do you have any specific design need for your bag?” Rarity asked.

“Well I would just like it in a black color with a plain design nothing to fancy.” I request of Rarity hoping she will comply.

“Why would you, want it such a dreadful color darling. It doesn’t even fit with your coat color. However, it contrasts with your mane and tail color nicely, and I must say that is a unique style, so spiky.” Rarity says, her face going through an awful lot of expressions as she say her words.

“Well first of I Like! The color black, look at my name. Secondly, I goes well with the coat/cloak, whatever you wane call it, I usually wear.” I Say to Rarity.

“Oh. Where is it can I see,” Rarity asked.

“Right now Oliver has it and he´s in the Everfree Forest. So you won’t be seeing it for a little while.”

“Darling, why is your friend in such a dreadful place? The dirt and all the bugs, monsters and plants.” Rarity looks like she´s about to faint.

“Rarity, Blacklight’s friend is in there doing some experiments for him.” Twilight says.

“That’s why Rarity. So now could you take measurements for a bag or what?” I asked her.

“Right? Let me get on that.” Rarity says, as her horn lights up and she materializes a measuring tape, and she begins to take my measurements. “Done, now Spike, Twilight would you come with me as I do this. I need to talk you about something, and Blacklight you stay her and be a dear.”

“Yes, Miss Rarity.” I say annoyed, I wanted to see Rarity work her magic. However, I knew, what they there going to talk about.

“Thank you, now it won`t be long 20min. max, I promise.” Rarity promises. When she, Twilight and Spike took their leave. They walked through a door, which I guessed was the way to her workroom.

I leaned against the wall and decided to take a power nap while waiting for them to finish. Nevertheless, a minute later the entrance to the boutique shot open, and I awakened from my short slumber. I could hear a voice from the door I recognized, to come from a certain filly.

“HEY RARITY I`M BACK! Oh who are you?” Sweetie Bell´s eyes were wide a she looked at me. Well this going to be fun I thought.

After walking with Rarity into her workroom. Twilight and Spike closed the door behind them; they turned around to face Rarity who had already begun finding fabrics and string to make a saddlebag.

“So Rarity.” Twilight asked, “What do you want to talk about?”

“I want to talk about mister Blacklight out there.” Rarity said, floating a needle towards her and attached string to them. “What do you know about him?”

“Oh I knew you wanted to know about him. But, first let me set up an anti-noise spell, so he can’t hear us.” Said Twilight, her horn lit up and a purple shield clambered to the walls of the room. “Now what do you want to know Rarity?”

“I want to know everything, you know about him.” Rarity said; her back still turned on Spike and Twilight. “For Twilight then I looked at him something felt wrong. So please tell me Twilight what you know about him.”

“Rarity I really don´t know much about. He only told me there he came from and that he has a degree, in that I forgot to ask. I also know he came here to Ponyville with his friend, who he says is in the Everfree Forest. Oh almost forgot he likes the color black.”

“Really that’s all you know about him.” Twilight nodded, “So, when did you meet him.” Rarity asked.

“He arrived at the library about 11 and asked for a book about spark spells. Which is odd sine a unicorn like him should know it, for it´s one of the spells you have to learn in school. He also sits like Lyra Heartstrings.”

“Yes that is strange. Even I know that spell, and sitting like Lyra must be painful. How long did sit like that.” Rarity asked. She was almost done with saddlebag it was almost done, since she didn't have make extra details for it.

“Yes, he might be strange, but so what he´s a really nice guy.” Spike said. Surprising both Rarity and Twilight.

“When did you get to know him Spike?” Rarity said concern filling her voice.

“I talked and played cards with him, after he got Twilight to stop her research frenzy. Which did take me by surprise, even I couldn't do that and he just stopped her by saying a few lines of pure logic to her.” Spike answered.

Rarity then took her attention from Spike and on to Twilight. “So tell me darling what have you´ve been researching and what did he tell you to stop.”

“I got an assignment from Princess Celestia telling me that two meteors had landed in the Everfree forest and asked me to find and study them. Therefore, I spent the entire night and morning, preparing to go into the forest and reading up on astronomy and geology. So then, Blacklight showed up. He told me that it’s bad for my body to neglect sleep and stress over the assignment, and I couldn't help but agree to what he said. It’s almost like he knows me better than I do myself. However, the strange thing was then I told him about the meteors, he almost turned white, so I think he knew about them before I told him and that´s why his friend is in the Everfree Forest to find them.”

“Twilight darling, I must say who ever this stallion really. I think you shouldn't trust him yet until we know more about him okay.” Rarity said, in a very serious tone.

“Your right Rarity, we should wait to trust him.” Twilight said, but she did want for then he said he wanted to be friends with her, she could feel he meant it but she didn't want to say that to Rarity, not now at least.

“I´m done,” said Rarity. Knocking Twilight out of her thoughts to look at the white unicorn. She was holding a plain black saddlebag in front of her. “So what do you think?”

“I looks great Rarity and that was fast to.” Spike said; Twilight nodded in agreement.

“Yeah it was more so because it´s so plain no details at all, but if that’s how wants it, that’s what he gets.” Rarity said. “Now then let’s give this to our mystery stallion.”

Rarity opened the door and she was meet by a giant wall of sound, from the other room, and was completely confused. After a few seconds of disorientation, she got her baring’s straight; she saw Sweetie Bell running around the room yelling In happiness and Blacklight leaning against the wall with a big ass smile on his face. She opened her mouth and began to yell to make Sweetie Bell calm down.

“What is going on here?!”

I turned around to see Rarity yelling her ass off to make Sweetie Bell stop screaming I think. She was holding a saddlebag in her magic. I looked at Sweetie Bell who had finally stopped yelling

“Rarity!” Sweetie Bell yelled as she was running towards and hugged her tight around her le.

“What? What is it Sweetie Bell?” She asked her sister, trying to remove her from her leg. She had very confused look on her face.

“Look!” Sweetie Bell said. Showing her flank in Rarity´s face `only in Equestria are you allowed to show your ass in people´s faces and it´s okay I thought.´ “I got my Cutie Mark.” It was a pink musical note with a microphone around it.

“Wait, what, when, how?” Both Rarity and Twilight said at the same time. Their faces almost turning in to question marks.

“I got it just a few minutes ago thanks to mister Blacklight.” I waved my hoof at them. “He helped me get over my stage fright, and I learned that my talent is singing.” Sweetie Bell said; her smile was almost ripping her face apart.

“How?” Asked Twilight.

“Can´t tell. Our secret, I pinkie promised I wouldn’t tell.” Sweetie Bell said, placing her hoof over muzzle and zipped it. “Now I gotta go and show Apple Bloom and Scootaloo. See you later sis.” She then ran out of the door and called for her fellow crusaders.

“Wow,” was the only thing Spike had to offer on the whole ordeal that just happened.

“I must thank you, Blacklight Darling. For helping Sweetie Bell getting her cutie mark. I had feeling her special talent was singing.” Rarity thanked me.

“No need to thank me Rarity, I just helped her get her cutie mark. Not a big deal I think, I have always helped foals get their marks.” I lied. But, there was some truth to it. I stood up and began walking towards the mares and dragon still standing in the door. I take the bag out of Rarity´s magic and place it on my back, it´s a perfect fit “Thanks Rarity it´s perfect, though I´m sad to say I can´t pay you for it just yet. I don’t have a single bit on my name.”

“You know what I don’t care if you can´t pay, you making Sweetie Bell happy I more than enough for me, so you don’t have to pay for it ever.” Rarity says to me.

“Thank you Rarity. You are too generous.” I say as walk up to her. I give her a hug and a kiss on the check.”

“Oh, my.” She says, her face is tomato red right now. I look behind her and I see Spike; his face is in total disapproval of what I just did.”
“Now then.” I say, as I turn around and face the door, “Spike, Twilight are you ready to go find some space rocks.”

“Oh, right.” Twilight says. She grabs her bag with haste and make her way over to the door with Spike on her back. “Uh Rarity would you like to join us on our little escapade.”

“Sure, why not. I have nothing else to do today. First let me write a note Sweetie Bell if she gets home before us.” Rarity say. She grabs a piece of paper and a pencil. She scribbles something down and goes behind Twilight leaving the note on a table.

“Now let´s go to market place first and see if our friends are there and ask if they want to come with us.” Twilight says, she opens the door and goes outside.

We leave Carrousel Boutique and head for the market with Twilight taking the lead. On the way I begin to think as to why Rarity choose to come with us, she´s right the Everfree Forest is a terrible place to be as she says it is. With all the dirt and things that can destroy her mane. So Twilight must have said something to her to make her come with us, when they there in her workroom. My thoughts are however, interrupted as Twilight asks me to stop walking, it seems we have made it to the market. I look around and see it´s still in full swing even so late into the day.

Twilight pulls in me to get my attention, I see her hoof pointing towards a stand and I see Applejack and Fluttershy talking to each other.

“Well that was easy.” I say to myself.

“APPLEJACK, FLUTTERSHY!” Twilight yells too the two mares who is standing near a shop. Who´s attention now turned to us.

“Well, howdy there; Twilight, Rarity, Spike and who might you be sugarcube.” Applejack says pointing her hoof at me. Well that’s another one of the brony checklist being called sugarcube by Applejack. Now onto hugging the shit out of Fluttershy.

“Well Applejack this is Blacklight he has offered to help me, find to meteors that landed in the Everfree Forest last night. I also hoped that you and Fluttershy would like to join us.” Twilight said.

“Howdy Mr. Blacklight and nice to meet you.” Apllejacks says extending her hoof towards me to shake it. I return the gesture by shaking her hoof hard. “And I´m sorry Twi´ no can do. I still have to watch the shop for another two hours. But, I am surprised that you choose go alongside them Rarity. Have finally stopped being prissy about getting your hooves dirty.” Her face was beginning to turn into a snarky smile.

“I am not prissy darling. I´m only going with them to see if there are any precious gems in the meteors I can use in my dresses.” Rarity retorted back at Applejack, a frown clear across her face.

“Girls, girls would you please not argue.” Twilight said, butting in between AJ and Rarity to stop their fight. Both of them stopped and walked back again, “Thank you. Now Fluttershy could you introduce yourself.”

“Hello, I´m Fluttershy.” She said in a very quiet voice akin to her, and it was adorable so kawaii. I just wanted to hug her right then and there, but I managed to restrain myself.

“Well nice to meet you to Fluttershy. So are you coming along, on our little trip.” I asked her and I hoped she would say no.

“No I can´t I have to feed my animal friends” She answered still in a quiet but still louder voice than before.

“It´s okay Fluttershy. We understand, don’t we guys?” Twilight said, all of us nodded in response. “Good.” She turned my back to and looked in the direction of the town entrance. “Now we go guys. We are behind schedule as it is.”

At that moment I decided to try out a Changeling power to see if I had it or not, and to mess with Twilight. It’s the one to change your voice without changing appearance. I wanted to see if mirror image was right about one changeling aspect. Here goes all or nothing I thought “Your right my faithful student. I expected you to be done already, so I expect a reason why you are late with your assignment, and you need to be punished for it.” I said in a perfect copy of Celestia’s voice. Prefect I thought.

Twilight´s body froze as she heard my voice. She slowly turned her head round to face, what she thought was Celestia standing behind her. I could see her mouth moving trying to form words but she was stammering the whole way. “Pr-Princess C-Celestia I´m sorry would have gotten out sooner.” Twilight stopped talking, as she saw my mouth moving, continuing to speak in Celestia´s voice.
“Your punishment shall be to bake me giant banana cake.” I look to see Twilight´s, Rarity´s and Fluttershy´s jaws was hitting the floor. Spike and Applejack was rolling on the ground, laughing their asses off. I quickly joined on the ground no longer able to control myself. I look and see Twilight still flabbergasted of what I just did. Twilight shocked her heard and looked at me with face crossed between confusion and anger. I empty my throat and stand back on my legs, trying to overcome my laughter stroke. “Oh my god. You should see your face,” a giggles still escape my throat in between my words. “You really thought Celestia was standing behind you didn´t you. So worth it.”

“Yeah what was mighty hilarious sugarcube, but how did you do it?” Applejack asked.

“Yeah how did you do that?” The rest of them said at the same time.

“Actually I don´t have a single clue, on how I do it?” Twilight raised a brow at that, “It´s true I have no idea how I do it. It´s not magic, maybe I can somehow change my voice box to do it, but if I did that I wouldn’t go back to my original voice for some time and I would be mute after doing it to many times. Since such a drastic change to the muscle, frequency would make it to soar to work properly again. So yeah I have no idea what I do to make my voice change.” I lie somewhat. I do know how I change my voice, since I´m a changeling I just change my voice box and muscle in to that of another pony without changing my appearance. However, the explanation I gave them was true of that would happen I did it without changeling magic I would go mute.

"He´s right," Twilight says. I just look at her stupid. How can that be right, I just pulled it out of my ass. even if some of it was true i have no knowledge of pony anatomy. Or is it closer to human than i thought.

"Well of course I´m right," I say. bringing my hoof to pull a invisible tie. "I´m a scientist i am supposed to know this stuff. Still how i do that, is still a mystery to me. Though I´m not complaining about having it; it´s a great trick at parties."

"Who said anything about parties!"

"AHHHH!" I and everybody else scream, while jumping 5 feet in the air. As a loud and pink blur appears in front of us, and the worst thing was the shock made my disguise almost slip.

I get back on my feet, to see a very happy Pinkie Pie bouncing between her friends, who was also trying to get back up. Except for Fluttershy, she´s laying on her back with her feet straight i the air. I look back to see Pinkie Pie standing right in front of me, her eyes there big and her mouth was slowly opening. I Immediately shut my brain down preparing for onslaught of words, that was to come and then she began.

"Are you the one that said anything about parties? Yes you are aren´t you. My name is Pinkie Pie, i make parties for every new pony that comes to Ponyville. You are a new pony aren´t you for i don´t know you and i know everypony in Ponyville, so i have throw a party for you, don´t worry I´m real good a making parties using my party canon. Oh Oh, do like cupcakes, i love love cupcakes or do you want something else for your party, i can easily bake a cake. GOSH! i totally forgot to ask for your name. Wait, Wait don´t tell me i wanna guess. It´s... Brownie, Alchemy Flask, Alf, Emil or is it Xehanort. Nah you aren´t a evil guy trying to cover the worlds in darkness or are you, do i have to call Sora on you."

That was the sentence that brought my brain back online, Pinkie and your 4th wall power. "Pinkie Pie!" I yell causing her to stop talking. "Please calm down. My name is Blacklight and yes, I would like a party," her smile growing even bigger. "But, not right now." her smile instantly disappearing. "Though i would like one later, then i have set up shop and found a place to live. Is that fine with you?" I asked her hoping she will comply.

"It´s okay" She said. `Well that was easy´

"Blacklight i have question for you?" Twilight asked, "where are you gonna live in Ponyville?"

"Well Twilight if you wanna know; I have thought about moving in to The Everfree Castle." Twilight and the other just look, horrified at me. "Come on, the place has been abandoned for over a 1000 years and i don´t think Celestia or Lulu; is going to have any problems about someone using it." Twilight just narrows her eyes and just gives me a stern look. "Twilight, don´t look at me like that. It´s not like you are going to be using it, in the foreseeable future."

"Fine," She says in a very annoyed tone. "However I´m going to write to the Princess about this to see if you actually can, and maybe set it up as a address. So you can pay taxes" `God I hate doing taxes.´

"Yeah just do that Twilight. I worry about consequences later." Twilight just rolls her eyes at me." So enough; dillydallying Twilight, were we not a quest to find us a meteor."

Twilight nods and turns to face her friends. "Now girls I have to go now. Like Blacklight said enough "dillydallying"." She then turns around to face me again, with a confused look on her face "What do´s that even mean." She asked.

"It means to mess around." I answered.

"Oh okay, what he said. See you girls later" She said

I had only managed to take one step, before i heard somebody yelling.

"Watch out!"

I look around to see there the voice came from. But, not a moment my vision goes black. As i feel something hitting my body, to make it tumble across the ground and push it in to something made of wood, which i guess was a stand. I try to move my body to see if anything was broken; thankfully nothing was. I try to move upwards but, I can´t, for i fell something laying on top of me. I open my eyes to see what was on top of me. God that sounded dirty. there laid a familiar looking cyan mare, with a rainbow colored mane. Right now; Rainbow Dash was knocked out. I try moving my body to make her wake up, but it´s not working. I sigh a try again this time by yelling."

"Rainbow Dash!" I yelled. Causing her head to instantly shock up, as she was awoken by my voice. Her head darting around to find the voice, until it stands still; her eyes locked on me. "Good your awake, now could you please get of me Rainbow Dash." She dos not move, at all; she just keep sitting on top of me. Her eyes widen and mouth began to open as she was preparing to say something and then came the word i did not want to hear for sometime.

"CHANGELING!" She yells at the top of her lungs.

Instantly look dawn my body to see it´s all black again, and there are holes in my hooves again now. "Shit," I mutter under my breath. I look up to see Dash completely frozen in fear. There I learned emotions taste from pony to pony, as the fear Rainbow was emitting tasted different from that Oliver putted out. This tasted like liquorice and I hate liquorice. "Sorry about this Dash." I said with guilt in my voice. I took my hoof, reared it back a bit and slammed it into her muzzle sending her flying. `Din´t think i was that strong´ I thought to myself.

Killing the thought I immediately took from the stand, buzzing my insect wings at high speed. I flew past the others which jaws was currently located on the ground; except for Twilight who just looked at me in shock. I looked away from them and just continued trying to fly out of town and to find Oliver.

After leaving the city exit at full speed. I look back to see, if someone had decided to follow me; and not to my surprise they had. I could see Rainbow Dash had gone out off her shock and recovered from the sucker punch i gave her. Right now she was beginning to gain up on me. I turned my attention back to flying and on the forest to find the entrance i had come out of, I "Buzz" my harder to gain more speed. I finally found the entrance and in their I see Oliver laying on his stomach doing something with his magic. I quickly come to the realization that Dash was still on my tail trying to capture me. I think about a way on how to lose her, as i could not afford to be captured, or for her to see Oliver. So it came the most brilliant plan, i had ever conceived: To just yell at Oliver hoping he would hear me. Fucking genius am I right brain. No. Shut up brain.

"Oliver!" I Shouted. I saw his rise and turn around to face me "Drop what ever your doing and seal the forest entrance." Right now I sincerely hoped, he could use his crystal making powers and understood what I meant. I saw Oliver standing up and his glowing red and black, the same did the ground in front of him. I Began vibrating my wings harder than before, trying to make my way to Oliver before the crystals arrived.

Luckily i did, I landed right besides Oliver and not a moment later a giant wall of black crystals appeared in front of us, covering the entrance and big part of to the side.

"Man can´t believe that actually worked." I said to myself as a good ego stroke.

"Black, what?-"

*SMACK*

"- happened in town? And what was that?" He asked looking confused between me and the wall.

"That I´m guessing was Rainbow Dash, slamming into your crystal wall at full speed." I answered as I´m putting on my coat which was laying on the ground."And for what? happened in town. Murphy´s Law." I zip up and start fiddling with my wings, to make them go threw the holes in the coat.

"Oh and Black, look what I found in your coat." His horn glows as he levitates my... PSP in front of me.

"Oliver, was this in my coat? And where did you find it in it? When I didn't find it when I looked in it."

"It was in the inner pockets."

"Huh," I take the PSP out of his magic and place it in my saddlebag... And it´s not here. How the fuck did I not notice, it was gone before, then I put on the coat. Where the fuck could it be. I began looking around to see if it was near the magic made crystal wall. But, it wasn't there.

"Black what is it, is something wrong?" Oliver asked with hint of concern in his voice.

"When I was in town, I had Rarity make a saddlebag for me, and now I've lost it." I answered with a little to much anger than intended. I freeze up as I realize, where I had lost it. "Dammit! I must have dropped it when Rainbow Crash hit me earlier."

"So that´s what happened. Rainbow Dash crashed into you and that made your disguise fall of." He out his hoof to his mouth trying to contain his laughter.

I growled at him, now putting the PSP in one of the pockets. "Yeah laugh all you want but, we need to get going now. I think we should the castle as our house for tonight. What do you say."

"I say it´s a good idea but, how am I going to get there fast."

"Just use you crystals as a car like the dude in that one story." I said.

"I could try that."

"Come on girls Rainbow Dash chased the changeling this way. What is that wall!"

"Black was that."

"Yes that was Twilight. We need to go, now" I said, interrupting his question, before he got to finish it.

Oliver´s horn begin to glow, as does the ground. A few seconds later a flat rectangle made of crystal rises from the ground, both of us jump on it. Oliver grabs it again and pushes it along the ground with telekinesis.

"Oh Celestia, Dashie are you okay." I hear Pinkie Pie yell from the other side of the wall.

So now the crystal block begins going along the ground at high speeds it almost fell being on a flying carpet. To my surprise Oliver had significant control over it avoiding trees with grace.

"So Black do you think Rainbow is going to be okay." Oliver asked, I could feel a bit of guilt, or at least I fought it was guilt, then he talked.

"Oh she is going to be fine." I answered, "She can only be damaged then the plot demands it, So I think she´s only going to have a bad headache, when she wakes up." I think my answer satisfied him. As the guilt he was emitting dissipated, and the fear and love returned in full force. Which I needed, for I felt kinda weak right now after spending a lot of energy on the disguise and flying.

"Black?"

"Yeah what is it Oliver?"

"The Pioneers used to ride these baby for miles."

I facehoof.
