Pinkie home the morning after her and rainbow Dash were together, Cheese had been sleeping on the floor with the broom at his side. Pinkie woke him up and told him to go home and get some sleep. Which might I add, he had no problem with.
Once he was gone, Pinkie cleaned the kitchen and went to the back of Sugar Cube Corner to get more bowls and plates to stock the cupboards. Today, Sugar Cube Corner was once again closed and Pinkie planned on sitting inside most the day to think. First, she needed a shower.
After Pinkie got out of the shower, she heard a knock at Sugar Cube Corner's front door.
" We're closed!!!" She yelled out to the mystery person. The pony quickly replied
"Pinks!" One pony
"Pinkie!!" Another. Both of there voices were muffled and there was shoving noises outside. She galloped down the stairs into the cafe. Unlocking the door, she jumped back. Of course, Rainbow Dash and Cheese Sand which were on the ground kicking each others hooves. When they saw Pinkie had opened the door, they stood up.
"Pinkie" They both said in an annoyed tone. They looked at each other with scowls. Staring at each other for a moment before Pinkie broke the silence.
"Can I help you guys??" She said tapping her front right hoof on the wood floor. Cheese Sand which was the first to speak while Rainbow eyed the ceiling.
He brought Pinkie to the other side of the room with a hoof.
" Pinkie! I thought you guys were fighting!" He whispered. His eyebrows in confused angles. Pinkie's ears dropped.
"Well--"
" And she says she needs to talk to you about last night?!" He interrupted. His voice still at a whisper but this time, Rainbow dash looked down from the ceiling and at Pinkie with apologetic eyes, as if she had done something wrong or, she heard Cheese. " What happened last night that's so important?" He wasn't letting Pinkie speak and she was getting frustrated.
"Was it wrong that she spent the night with her friend." Rainbow Dash said before closing her mouth with her hooves "Wow, that sounds wrong" She said turning the shade of Pinkie's coat. She had interrupted Cheese so, Pinkie was very grateful. She had forgotten Dash was even there. Cheese Sand which looked at his Mare friend with hurt eyes. Pinkie looked down at the floor.
" Was it?' She said quietly. Rainbow Dash looked at Pinkie and Cheese and knew she should leave.
" I'll be outside" She said as she dashed out he door. Pinkie looked at the door while Cheese kept his stare. Pinkie looked for a moment and the turned back to the floor.
" Was it?" She said a bit louder so he would think about it this time. She thought she was going to explode. She was mad at Dash for saying that right in front of him but, grateful that she made this a bit more obvious.. She didn't know what to think honestly..
" I don't know" Cheese said, breaking Pinkie's train of thought. "Depends." He walked over to a two pony table and sat. Pinkie did the same. She let her hooves hang by the chair so the wouldn't tough Cheese's which were laid across the table. " What did you guys--"
" That's none of your business!!!" She snapped looking up at him. Her ears were up now and her eyes were misty. She didn't know that just outside the door, Rainbow was listening.. Wishing she hadn't said anything. The caramel colt's eyebrows furrowed.
" Pinkie, if you wanna be my marefriend.. You have to be honest and open with me. so whatever you--"
"What if I don't' want to be your marefriend??? " She interrupted him again with tears now strolling down her face. His ears dropped and he looked at the door. Pinkie didn't want to break his heart."I like us better as friends Cheesy.. So, I will be honest with you." She said. She paused for a moment before he spoke.
" So??" He asked, looking back up at Pinkie with tired eyes. Pinkie closed her eyes and took another deep breathe.
" I love her.." She said with her eyes still closed. She felt her cheeks get hot and a tear slipped down her face... Then, she did something else that she couldn't hold back. She smiled
"Well Then, what are you gonna do?" He asked with a sigh, leaning back in the chair. Pinkie opened her eyes and looked at him. There eyes met and locked. " Before we break up... I just want to have a memory" Cheese came out of the chair and walked towards Pinkie. At their muzzles being an inch apart, he leaned in and kissed Pinkie. It was a nice proper kiss but, it felt like a goodbye kiss to Pinkie. She guessed that she was the reason he stayed in Ponyville... It was good bye.
He broke the kiss very slowly. He smiled at her
" Bye Pinkie..." He said in a calm tone. Just as he walked out the door Rainbow came bolting in sitting in the chair Cheese just sat in.
" So?" She said with a worried look on her face. Her hooves tapped on the table in an annoying manor. Pinkie giggled. With all that they have been through? Dashie still worries. Although, that's one of the things Pinkie loves about her..
" I love you Rainbow Dash." Pinkie said as her hair popped to life and so did Rainbow Dash. She flew over to Pinkie and leaned in. Right before they kissed, Pinkie said " Hey Dashie?" Rainbow Dash stopped and put out her lower lip as if she was still waiting for Pinkie to make her choice.
Pinkie leaned in to Rainbow Dash's muzzle with a smile. Rainbow pushed harder so the kiss would last. Although, they broke for air. Pinkie kissed Rainbow Dash lightly on the lips before busting out the door yelling.
" YOU'RE IT!!" She ran into Mr. Cake and looked at her watch. "Oh hey Mr.CaAH!" She was interrupted by Rainbow Dash tackling her to the ground and whispering.
"You're it" Rainbow Dash got to her wings and speed off. Mr. Cake shook his head and went inside to prepare for Mrs Cakes arrival. As Pinkie got up with a chuckle she turned around and was met by a pair of lips on hers. Her eyes went wide as she realized who's lips they were. Dash floated above Pinkie and chuckled, her muzzle still on the pink mares. Pinkie broke the kiss and looked up at Dash.
"You're it!" She said zooming off in a pink blurr.." As soon as the dust cleared, Dash sped off to get Pinkie.
