Nightmare Moon loomed over the crowd for several moments, letting the announcement of her own name take full effect, then marched over to the glass case containing the title belt, her eyes went wide with anticipation as she glided her hand across the glass.
“Hold it! what are you doing?” Loo asked.
“Im taking whats rightfully mine, and i will use its power to plunge this world into eternal darkness” Nightmare Moon replied and opened the door to the case.
“Where is the princess!?” Rainbow shouted.
Nightmare Moon smirked “I’ll tell you where shes not,........safe.” Nightmare then reached her hand in to grab the title belt.
but just as her hands met with the belt acres of multi colored magic shot from the crystals and onto Nightmare Moons hand, causing her to reel back and roar with frustration.
“How is this possible! the belt rightfully belongs to the champion of Equestria! For thousands of years that was my sister! i defeated her! the belt should be mine!”
Loo knew where this was going and gave Nightmare Moon a weak smile as she turned to her in rage.
“You! years of planning wasted!, i knew this would be the only time my sister would leave the element exposed, doesn’t matter now i’ll simply just have to kill you.” Nightmare Moon raised her hands, arches of electricity flowed through her fingers.
“Wait! i formally challenge you!” Loo shouted in desperation.
The electricity ceased Nightmare roared “How did you know of the ancient canterlot rules i am bound to follow!?”
“I didn’t, but since it got your attention, i formally challenge you! you win you're the rightful champion of equestria and the belt is yours, but if i win, you go straight back to where you came from” Loo explained.
“What are the conditions?” Nightmare Moon asked.
“Well, one is you half to fight me in a mortal form, and the next is obey all general rules of the sport, boxing” Loo explained.
“What, pray tell, is boxing?” Nightmare Moon asked.
“What? have you been living under a rock for the past thousand years?”
“No, I have been living on the moon”
“Ouch”
“How about this, I take my mortal form, and I use the essence of any fighter in this room, except you, I will gain their knowledge and their skills and even the odds.”
Loo scanned the room, every fighter here she could easily defeat again, and with Rainbow at her side, theres nothing that could stop her.
“I agree” Loo said.
“As do I” Nightmare Moon replied.
Nightmare offered her hand, Loo reached over the ropes and took it, after they shaked, Nightmare Moon closed her eyes, she began to get shorter and her armor vanished.
Loo turned to Rainbow, “Okay kid, i like how you handled that now all we have to do is see which fighter she,.......she,............chooses” Rainbow suddenly wobbled then fell to the ground.
“Rainbow! whats wrong! whats going on!” Loo shouted in confusion trying wake Rainbows crumpled form.
Rainbows eyes opened, a look of shock came over them as she opened her mouth, No words came out, instead a flow of thick black smoke erupted from Rainbows mouth and eyes, it flowed like an anaconda through the air over to Nightmare Moon, and encasing her in a deep Black cloud, moments later, the flow stopped and the cloud around Nightmare Moon began to lift, and from it she saw a form she only saw in black and white photos in a dusty leather bound photo album.
Nightmare Moon had taken the exact form of Rainbow Dash when she was the boxing champion of equestria complete with her wonderbolt boxing outfit, except she still had her dark blue coat (Instead of Rainbows cyan one) and her mane remained a slightly lighter blue.(Instead of Rainbows Rainbow colored one).
“MMmm, i like this form, so full of, attitude,....i think i’ll keep it after i’ve defeated you” Nightmare Moon said, he voice now resembling Rainbow’s, though a bit younger.
Loo was filled with dread, she had to defeat a mare with decades of experience and she was out of a coach, Rainbow original form still lay unconscious on the canvas of the ring.
“Loo! Loo! ne vous inquiétez pas, je suis là pour vous aider!” Loo looked up to see Glass Shy reaching for Rainbow, Glass Shy got a hold of Rainbow and dragged her to the ropes, but she found she couldn’t lift Rainbow up.
“Pourrais-je obtenir de l'aide s'il vous plaît!” Glass Shy yelled at the crowd, King Mac’s form suddenly lifted from the crowd, he waddled to the ring, Took Rainbow and Glass Shy and walked back to the cover of the crowd.
Loo then turned to Nightmare Moon.
“Well kid that was touching and all but we need to get this show on the road, got titles to win and worlds to plunge into darkness” Nightmare Looked around “Looks like we need a ref, if you’ll excuse me i can use some magic to get us one.”
Rainbo(Er i mean Nightmare) clapped her gloves and a dark blue pony popped from the canvas below the fighters feet. The new Ref resembled a pegasus, but instead he had black leathery wings fangs like a bat.
“Alright keep it clean and come out boxing, bump gloves and wait for the ding.” the new Ref explained, his voice sounding like he’d been in the ground for quite a while, and he passes the time by smoking.
With a smirk, Nightmare bumped gloves with Loo and waited behind her guard and warmed up her footwork.
*Ding
Loo approached Nightmare with her guard up.
Nightmare cocked back a huge jab and growld “Night Night”
Loo froze, the jab plowed through Loo’s guard and knocked her all they way back to the ropes.
Rainbows frame wasn't that much bigger than Loo’s but she was deceptively fast and strong, but i guess she didn’t hold that title for 10 years for nothing.
Loo recovered, Nightmare set up another jab, Loo dodged and countered with a uppercut to Nightmare’s jaw, Nightmare moved her guard up and blocked the uppercut but left her chest exposed.
Loo launched a combo of strikes on Nightmare’s chest before she recovered and blocked.
Rainbow launched an overhead strike that Loo didn’t see coming, it connected and crushed her into the canvas.
Loo already felt the strain of Rainbows strikes, her muscles ached as she forced herself back on her feet.
“Hold Still” Nightmare prepared another overhead strike, Loo dodged, but Nightmare was ready for it, she faked the strike and switched to a right hook which connected and staggered Loo.
“Afraid?” Nightmare asked with a sarcastic smirk, then launched a series of uppercuts, every devastating blow connected with Loo, Loo staggered, then Nightmare cocked back a huge uppercut, Loo tried to control her body but it wouldn't listen, Nightmare released the uppercut to Loo’s jaw, a deafening boom assaulted Loo’s eardrums and a explosion of rainbows made from shades of dark blue filled her vision, Loo was launched straight out of the ring.
Time slowed for Loo as she flew through the air, cameras went wild and the crowds faces all looked in horror as their champion landed, Loo noticed the sound of shattering glass and her body was rocked with pain, Loo had landed in the glass case, just outside the ring.
The crowd booed as the the ref called out “Its over, Its Over KO!”
Loo vision blurred as she stared up at the night sky though the roofless stadium, wondering if she’ll ever see the sun again.
“OH ho, ho, ho!,” Nightmare shouted,”C'mon Loo!, that can’t be all you got! C’mon, i’ll even say you’re still the champion! if you just get up! one more round, don’t cry Loo, lets rematch.”
As soon as the words “Say you’re still champion” Left Nightmares gloating lips, a warmth went through Loo body, her vision returned, her soreness subsided and the cuts she experienced in the fall started to close.
Loo reached under herself, and in one glove, she pulled out the Championship belt, Nightmare Moon had said she was still the champion, so the belt was still rightfully hers, Loo rose out of the smashed remains of the case and slowly got to her feet.
The crowd cheered as a broken Scootaloo rose from the case and held out the belt for all to see.
Nightmare realized what she said and then covered her mouth, then growled at Loo.
Loo smirked, then slammed the belt to her waist, The belts effects were immediate, it attached itself to Loos navel and looped itself, magic coursed through Loo body, healing her injuries, thin golden armor formed on her body covering her arms and shin, as well as a royal helm covered her head.
Loo felt a million times stronger than she ever felt before, if there ever was a time she could beat Nightmare Moon, it was know, Loo grabbed the ropes and sling shotted herself into the ring to face her.
Nightmare Moon growled and the armor she had been wearing returned and reformed to match Loo’s but she kept her Rainbow Dash form.
*Ding
Nightmare roared and opened with a powerful jab, Loo brought up her guard and blocked it, Nightmare held back her glove in surprise, Loo uppercutted Nightmare’s jaw, Nightmare mover her guard again allowing Loo to land a combo of body blows.
Nightmare roared and launched a overhead blow, Loo dodged and countered it, landing a series of uppercuts that sent Nightmare to the canvas.
Nightmare got up at the count of 7.
‘Night Night” Nightmare growled, launching a jab to Loo’s chest, it connected and staggered her, “Bedtime” Nightmare launched a powerful hook, Loo ducked and countered.
The shock sent Nightmare doubling over, Loo launched a uppercut, sending Nightmare to the canvas again.
Nightmare got up at 9.
“NO!!” Nightmare bellowed “I WILL NOT LOSE THE POWER I SOUGHT AFTER FOR A THOUSAND YEARS BECAUSE THIS BODY FORCED ME TO BE A IGNORANT GLOAT!!”
Nightmare’s Gloves arched Electricity, the smell of ozone filled Loo’s nostrils, a Gigantic bolt of lightning fell from the sky and connected with Loo.
The crowd collectively gasped, the flash of the lightning blinded everyone, Nightmare Cracked when she saw all that was left was a burnt patch and a plume of smoke.
“We HAD A DEAL NIGHTMARE!” Loo’s voice erupted through the arena.
Nightmare stood frozen, when Loo emerged from the smoke, Nightmare growled, her eyes turned bright and she charged Loo.
Loo waited until the last second, Nightmare charged with her gloves for of electricity and her eyes bright flashed, Loo put everything she had into a bloody blow that connected and stunned Nightmare, the electricity left and her eyes returned to normal.
Loo cocked back her signature Uppercut, her mind filled with images of Rainbow Loo sought to avenge her mentor, she launched the uppercut.
The moment it connected with Nightmare, she exploded in a cloud of Blue smoke, her Rainbow Dash form left her.
When the smoke cleared a small Dark Blue teenage alicorn dressed in a cotton nightie lay bruised, beaten and knocked out cold surrounded by scraps of blue armor.
The ref smiled and folded his arms, “Knock out” then he melted back into the ground.
The crowd cheered for their armored defender as the sky above turned from the dark night and into a glorious sunny day.
Loo staggered, the belt and detached and fell onto the canvas causing the armor to dissolve, Loo’s body caught up with itself as she fell the toll the fight had really done to her, she fell to her hands and knees, she breath heavily there for a few seconds.
Until a cyan hand was offered to her, Loo took it and was lifted to her feet by Rainbow Dash.
Rainbow smiled, and without a word took Loo in a loving embrace. “I guess the belt really does house the elements of harmony” Loo muttered.
“Indeed it does” a soft voice boomed through the stadium.
Loo and Rainbow broke their hug and witnessed the Princess of equestria (Princess Celestia) Land in the ring and fold back her soft white wings.
The entire crowd fell quiet and collectively bowed to their ruler Loo and Rainbow included.
“Princess Celestia!” yelled when she finished her bow.
“Scootaloo, my courageous champion” Celestia said warmly. “ I Guess i should explain, i saw the signs of Nightmare Moon’s return, and i knew she would only show herself if i left the elements exposed, so i held this tournament, i knew that through the dishonesty and greed that this championship was bound to attract, a just Champion would rise to protect Equestria from Nightmare Moon. I knew you could do it” Celestia then walked to the remains of Nightmare Moon.
“Princess Luna!” Celestia yelled, The teen alicorns eyes popped open, then began to fill with tears when they fell on Celestia.
“It’s been eons since i’ve seen you like this, we were meant to rule equestria together as sisters”
“Sisters!?” several; voices from the crowd shouted Including Rainbow’s and Loo’s.
“Won’t you except my friendship?” Celestia asked Luna.
Luna shot up a hugged her sister, “I’ve Missed you so much!” Luna sobbed, tears streaming down her black and blue face.
The crowd a’wwed and erupted in more cheers as King Mac and Glass Shy Kissed romantically (Suprise Fluttermac FTW!).
Loo and Rainbow smiled at each other, then Celestia picked up the belt and held it between the two, Loo smiled at the princess and she smiled back.
Loo took the belt and draped it over her shoulders “With this, I’ll be unstoppable” Loo snickered.
“Not quite” Celestia whispered.
“What?” Loo asked.
“Well the elements will only work the way they did with you if the ponies of equestria are in danger, hence you being the protector of Equestria,their power comes from the friendship and good nature of the ponies of equestria so it can’t be used for every fight,or against the ponies themselves.”
Loo looked disappointed, then Rainbow ruffled her mane and chuckled.
“Power of elements or not, Like to see anypony take that belt away from you.”
With a wink from the princess Both Rainbow and Loo left the ring and walked hand and hand out the front door.
“Hey Loo” Rainbow said as she tried to hail a cab outside the stadium.
“What?” Loo asked.
“Are you ready for the next challenger?” Rainbow Smirked.
Both Loo and Rainbow promptly broke up in laughter, Then Loo slapped her.
