Chapter 6
The Arch-Angels
A/N: No help this time. I did the proof reading myself to make sure it was done properly. All words come from the oxford canadian dictionary, which I used to correct any miss spellings. Songs used in the making of this chapter, Fate of the unknown and The other promise.
Princess Celestia, Fluttershy, Angel Bunny, Lyra, Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie and Hope were standing in front of the ruined Sugarcube Corner.
"May I see the child Fluttershy?" Princess Celestia asked a shivering Fluttershy. Angel was standing defensively in front of Hope, who was hugging Fluttershy for comfort. The princess trotted slowly over to them.
"Oh lord," Pinkie Pie said looking at the destruction around her. "Mr, and Miss Cake will kill me. How am I going to explain that their house was destroyed by a monster." Her mane and tail deflated, and she lost some of her bright color's.
"Uggg, my head" Rainbow Dash groaned as she got up. She rubbed her head and winced in pain as blood started pouring out of a cut on her head. Fluttershy noticed this and went over to her to tend to the wound.
"What was that thing?" Lyra said as she came out of hiding.
"That was a deamonta, a monster from the void that feeds off the pain and suffering of others before they slaughter them." Celestai said. "I'll explain more later, right now is not a good time as there might be more of them." With that said she teleported them to Twilights library.
In the library Twilight Sparkle, Spike, Rarity, and Applejack were waiting patiently for the princess.
"Why would the princess want us all here. It just dosn't make any sense, and why would she be interested in Hope?" Twilight wondered outloud.
"Beats me sugercube. But it must be important if she wants all of us here." Applejack said.
"I was in the middle of trying to make Hope her dresses when she came knocking on my door." Rarity said. "Whatever Hope did it must have been big."
"I don't think this has to do with Hope doing something. I think it might be about why she's here." Spike said as a knock was heard on the door. Twilight used her magic to open it as five ponies, one bunny and a human came in. Everyone gasped at the state they were in. They were covered in dust and debris, Rainbow Dash was bleeding on the top of her head, Lyra was limping and Pinkie Pie had a sad look on her face. Princess Celestia was holding onto Hope as Angel came into the door trying to calm a frightened Fluttershy. Hope was crying softly as Celestia tried to silence her.
"What the hay happened" Applejack said.
"A monster calling himself Kerosine came rampaging into ponyville terrorising everypony trying to murder Hope." A sad Pinkie Pie said." And he distroyed Sugercube Corner." Pinkie burst into tiers.
"I tried to stop him but he slamed me face first into the ground hard." Rainbow Dash said.
"Why would a monster want to kill Hope. She hasn't done anything wrong." Fluttershy said.
"Ummmm. I think I should go." Lyra said as she ran out the door.
"So yer tellin me that some monster was distroying ponyville to get at Hope to kill her fer no reason." Applejack said.
"Thats just awful. The poor dear must be scared out of her wits." Rarity said as she took Hope from Celestia. Angel just glared as if to demand that Rarity let Hope go. Twilight was dumbfounded.
"Princess would you care to explain why this happened." Twilight asked. Princess Celestia sighed and said.
"I know you are confused but please sit down all of you, and I will explain everything." The group sat down. "That thing that attacked ponyville was a monster from the void called a Deamonta. Deamonta a crule monsters that have no remorse and take pleasure on feeding off of the pain and suffering of others. Once they enter a world they start to destroy everything in their path, corrupting any living thing before slaughtering them. Those that servive the first attack are then captured and used as food. They are heartless creatures that will stop at nothing until they destroyed everything.
"Princess how do you know all this?" Twilight asked.
"A long time ago when I was a faol my mother fell victim to the Deamonta, since then I lived in fear that they might try to take over Equestria." Everyone went wide eyed at this.
"Ummm...Princess there was somthing that this thing said that has me confused." Fluttershy spoke out softly. "Waht is an Arch-Angel and why does it want to kill Hope." Princess Celestia was a little shocked at what was said.
"An Arch-Angel. If thats the case I think I might understand why that thing was trying to get to Hope. But I'm still unsure about that. Anyway an Arch-Angel is a human gifted with both flight and magic due to something they call a chaos gene. As to what coases this gene to activate I don't know. Arch-Angels seem to mature quickly and live longer due to the gene, which is what separates them from other humans."
"Again how do you know this?" Twilight questioned. Princess Celestia then said.
"Long ago before discord was turned to stone we were visited by three beings from another world. They called themselves Arch-Angels. Their names were Arch-Angel Axil, Arch-Angel Lumin and Arch-Angel Harmony. They told us about discord and how he was spreading chaos around Equestria and gave us the means to make the elements. Just as mysteriously as they came they left, never to return."
"These Arch-Angels sound powerful." Rarity said intrigued by the story.
"Why did that thing say that Hope's mother was named Arch-Angel harmony." Rainbow Dash said.
"You mean one of them bore a child!" Princess Celestia said. She then turned to Hope and said. "Hope I'm going to do a memory scan on you to see why you were put here." Her horn glowed and she put it on Hopes forehead. Minutes later Celestia gasped and started to cry. "All of you listen to me and listen good."
"What happened? What did you see?" Twilight sounded concerned.
"This child is being hunted. The Deamonta killed all of her race and she was sent here to fulfil a prophecy. Somehow she alone has the power to defeat them, but need help controling her powers."
"What!?" Twilight said surprised. Celestia continued her speach.
"Fluttershy you are taking care of this child right?"
"Yes" Fluttershy said.
"This child is in danger as long as she is here. You must not let them get her otherwise it could mean the destruction of us all. Promise me Fluttershy that you would protect Hope with your life, the same goes for everypony in this room. The Deamonta are ruthless monsters that will stop at nothing to kill her."
"But why us your majesty." Applejack said. Princess Celestia then answered.
"It seems Hope was brought here for a reason. As to what it is I will try to find out. In the meantime please protect her, we mustn't let the Deamonta get their hands on her." Everybody in the room looked at Hope was fast asleep on Rarity's lap.
