Where I am Needed

Chapter 16, Savior Falls Act-IV

The wind blew gently across the decimated landscape, carrying with it thick layers of dust, the scene before any left standing was a black and vile legion which faced forward, arrogance filled their souls as the treasure which was victory seemed oh so near. The legion of wretched creatures stood in many postures and brandished many crude weapons, rust and blood clad many Demon weapons. Above the world they desecrated were skies darker than Beelzebub's soul...Hell fire pelted the earth and began turning it into what the Black Demon considered paradise.

From the once tall and strong mountain, which now lay in ruin, came a thick veil of dust. As it approached ever nearer some Demons began twitching...being made disturbed by eerie silence. Flickers of lightning began illuminating the cloud of dust however this lightning was red, as red as the blood which poured from a fresh wound. A silhouette slowly darkened as it approached step by step, the shadow was hunched and sloppy in how it staggered forward.

A sudden breeze blew the dust away from the approaching figure and the unveiling was swift yet in the eyes of every Demon it was slow and painful to watch. Onyx hair that allowed no shine or lighter colour to reside upon this creature's head hung in it's face. Ruby eyes emitted a deep and somber glow, allowing a shadow to be cast upon the face of this new warrior. Skin was like that of a humans, this one was slightly tanned, however it lacked a certain light...it seemed dim and lifeless. The only piece of clothing was a nearly non-existent pair of once white pants while a now thin sash was the only thing holding it up.

Another breeze flew straight over the creature which blew back the hair revealing a snarling face with razor sharp incisors, a diabolical gleam emitted from them. The absence of it's hairs' presence also revealed ear which ended in sharp points. This creature came to a sudden stop...

"I thought that disturbance had to be you, Human. So what do you plan to do? Strike me down and protect your little Ponies? Hahahaha! You are so naive! You truly believe you can protect them not just from me but from themselves? Every living thing granted life will eventually take life, it is simply the way life is, death is the pinnacle of evolution! To overcome weakness you must destroy the weak! What I am doing is destroying these pests while they are weak...I will not be challenged by these peace loving beasts!...Now what will you do? Vainly attempt to take on an entire army or run and live?"

Beelzebub's words fell on deaf ears. A simple low growl was all that was needed...It was the only warning they ever had. Salvatore lifted his leg and slammed it into the earth, sending a force powerful enough to propel Demons ten foot into the air through the earth beneath them, the force resulted in cracked and unstable land. Another veil of dust descended upon the Legion of Demons whilst Beelzebub had vanished from sight, for now, tiny rivers of blood run through the crack in the earth as screams, cries and pleas alerted every Demon to another falling to the invisible force of death.

A sonic boom seemed to disintegrate the dust that clouded the massacre at hand. A blood soaked Salvatore stood in a pile of corpses and few Demons left shaking, unable to move the terror instilled in them was so powerful. The blood soaked land, bodies and the blood the drenched Salvatore began stirring with a life of it's own and it began travelling to his right arm where it simply amassed.

The mutilated Demon corpses liquefied and joined the blood which amassed on his right arm, ever growing was this collection of blood. Beelzebub was un-moving...disturbed by this sight yet he could not escape nor could he move to strike the altered Human. A cloud of wispy black smoke was the only thing left where Salvatore once stood. Ruby orbs met the yellow orbs of Beelzebub, suddenly Beelzebub felt something in his chest, a rising left fist resulted in a sickening crack as it struck the Black Demon's jaw blasting him high into the sky.

Salvatore pulled back his right arm and wings of blood erupted from his back. A sudden growth fired out of the right arm and was just an inch from hitting the still airborne Beelzebub before it was swung behind the crimson winged saviour and thrown, full force, at the one which had wronged Salvatore in the most malicious of ways...not just Salvatore but those he loved dearly.

As the construct of blood approached ever closer it's form became clear..….A titanic fist struck Beelzebub with all the fury, wrath, hatred and grief held within the Human's soul...Salvatore's soul. For a second there was silence and stillness before a deafening 'BOOM' which simply sent the General of Hell's Legions further and further into the sky until he was simply...Gone.

Salvatore's body suddenly went limp in mid air, all strength seemed to have faded from his now lifeless body. The fist of blood dissipated into thin air while the blood wings went limp, unable to halt his now fast descent into the earth. As the floor got closer and closer the speed of the fall became faster and faster, at this rate he would be cracked like an egg.

Seconds before impact a figure snatched him from the air and hit the ground harshly, cracking the ground beneath them, however Salvatore was safely over the shoulder of Distruttore who then gently placed him down to go and find the others.

'I return to your soul now...Next time will be stronger...Just as you will be...'

The voice echoed from Salvatore's conscience, leaving him with questions, the Human's eyes slowly fell shut as the last glimmer of light left his eyes...

The Crimson Demon, Distruttore, climbed up the rubble which was once a mountain to find the Princesses and Twilight, surprisingly, he stumbled upon Twilight helping Celestia, she had suffered burns from the raining hell fire while providing air support, despite her injuries Twilight poured all her strength into healing her mentor.

The sound of heavy footsteps alerted the mares to his presence, which resulted in a slight scream from all of them, which was cut short after they recognised him. Distruttore gave a silent merit to Twilight who, painfully, ignored the slit wounds in her front legs. When he stood before them he knelt down to converse, and it would seem less imposing.

"How grave are your injuries?" Concern lingered in the Demons voice.

"Luna has a few scratches and scrapes, plus a few bruises, but we both agree Celestia needs my attention the most". Twilight reported very professionally to the hunched Demon.

"I do not agree at all. Twilight you are standing on wounded legs! You need our attention more than anything!" Luna protested against the actions of her sister's pupil.

"I believe there is one who needs as much help as possible...I fear Salvatore is slipping away from us". An emotion unknown to him stirred inside his throat.

"What...You mean-Where is he!?" Twilight immediately attempted to gallop past Distuttore which resulted in her being caught by the Demon.

"You will do no such thing. I can carry you and the other two. None of you are in the condition to move but you can save him, I promise if there is something you can do it is that!"

The Demon placed Celestia and Luna over his shoulders and carried Twilight in his arms. He would get them too him...He had too...That damn Human could not die!

A lone black mare sat next to the still body of Salvatore, she was sat with her hair hanging down over her features, in her mouth was a gleaming object. She gently placed it on his chest, which still radiated warmth, she had witness what he had become in order to save Equestria. Though now as he lay still he was Salvatore...His long chocolate locks splayed over the ground in some form of halo, she couldn't believe what he had done for them...He hadn't even been born among them and neither did he belong to their world. Droplets fell upon Salvatore's peaceful face, not disturbing his comatose,Chrysalis had tears rolling down her face yet even as she moved towards his face they rolled down. As she finally was inches away from him she placed a kiss upon his forehead, a sign of affection and gratitude.

"You didn't have to..." She whimpered and sobbed through her tears.

The Queen fell limp upon his stomach, her chin resting upon the firm abdomen of her Salvatore. Something warm ran itself through her hair, coiling and stroking. Her eyes darted to his face and no matter how much she blinked he was looking into her eyes with his left hand stroking her hair, his grey eye and red eye shimmered.

"Don't cry".His voice was hoarse yet gentle. "I hate it when I see someone crying".

"Salvatore!". Chrysalis turned her attention behind her where a hulking Distruttore was approaching with Twilight, Luna and Celestia being carried by him. It was as if they stole the words from his mouth...after all he is their saviour.

The metal item...a silver cross which was placed upon Salvatore's chest began emanating a holy white light. It levitated six foot of the ground and pulled the Human with it as well. The Demon remembered this as something of Angelic nature, as if he remembered something urgent,he placed the mares near Chrysalis and ran into the distance.

A shinning white orb expanded from the cross and began circling Salvatore. As it did the Human, who had now saved two worlds, felt something light within him fluttering open. The cross began spinning faster and faster until Salvatore was consumed by the brilliant light. A thin beam fired into the sky and another fired into the ground, the skies began clearing while the ground began healing as was evident when grass and flowers sprouted from the earth.

Almost if time was reversing the world was slowly healed of the wounds caused by the colossal battle with the Demonic Legions and their General Beelzebub. A tingling sensation fell over the mares and they felt rejuvenated and watched as Twilight's wounds closed up and left no sign of scarring.

Suddenly five beams of holy light fired down from the sky and revealed five Humans with wings sprouting from their backs, their attention firmly set upon the orb which held Salvatore. The mares watched in silence as the the cross became visible, a sign it had slowed down, then it came to a stand still. The orb vanished and a figure Salvatore fell onto the earth, only to surprisingly pick himself back up, when he stood he was facing his three friends.

WUSH!

Two huge white wings burst from his back, they were stark white and the wingspan dwarfed Salvatore. He tuned around slowly to see his three mentors, Gabriel and Xander who all had smiles upon their faces, even Xander.

"You still have a long way to go student. I thought you spent all your time training?" Master Funakoshi seemed firm as steel before breaking out into chuckling.

"A good use of magic and your Blood. You are worthy of your title...". Xander shut his mouth due to a glare from Gabriel.

"It is my honour, Salvatore, to be the one who performs this act for all of Heavens children to remember. I think something is missing".With a point of his fingers a golden glow consumed Salvatore and as it vanished a figure in golden armour stood tall, the Human was covered head to toe, it made smooth winding noises as the armour interlocked and tightened to suit it's owner. Then a bright brilliant glow hovered before him and from it a long golden sword appeared which was quickly snatched by him. He inspected the blade, it's edges glowed white with holy power and a soothing hum resonated from it.

"What is all this?" The slightly muffled voice of Salvatore questioned.

"I, Archangel Gabriel". He placed both hands on Salvatore's shoulders. "Stand her before God, the lord". His right hand hovered over his head then went to his chest. "To invoke upon thee who is worthy". It then shifted from the left of his chest to the right, making an invisible cross. "That thou is an Archangel of the divine Heavens".

A golden light shinned atop Salvatore's head blinding everyone in it's warm and brilliant light.
