In May 20, 1941, the German Battleship, Bismarck, with her escort heavy cruiser Prinz Eugen, is now on her first maiden voyage, Operation: Rheinübung. This naval operation to the 2-ship fleet is to destroy convoys heading towards Great Britain.
Bismarck, the first of the Bismarck-class Battleships(second is the Tirpitz) of the Kriegsmarine(German Navy) is a fearsome battleship that is not gonna be taken lightly. It has 8-15" guns with a maximum range of 8,870 nautical miles, and has a speed of 30.01 knots, fair speed for a 50,300 ton battleship. Commissioned at February 14,1939, and named after the German Chancellor Otto von Bismarck, she was a pride for the German Navy. Now commanded by Capt. Ernst Lindemann, with Admiral Günther Lütjens, with the Prinz Eugen, she will try her mighty guns to the convoy.
"Kapitän, wir sind annäherung die Ufer von island. (Captain, we are now approaching the shore of Iceland)." one of the ship mates said.
"Gut. Jetzt, zurückgehen zu ihre senden.(Good. Now, go back to your post.)" Lindemann replied. The sailor saluted back and did what the captain told him. The Admiral was smiling.
"Kapitän, sie haben außergewöhnlich führung.(Captain, you have exceptional leadership.)"
"Die gleichen für sie.(The same for you.)" The 2 Kriegsmarine ships are sailing mightily, expecting to pass the shores of Iceland later. Then, a sailor alerted the Admiral and the Captain, saying:
"Generaladmiral, Kapitän, kommen und siehe auf die horizont.(Admiral, Captain, come and see on the horizon.) The Admiral and the Captain took their binoculars and zoom to see what's on the horizon. Sure enough, a white light appeared and flashed suddenly. Moments later, the 2 mighty ships were gone.
-Equestria-
The Mane 6, with the 2 princesses, Celestia and Luna, are having a beach party, set up by the Element of Laughter, Pinkie Pie. The ponies are having a great time on the beach, and relaxing if they could.
"What a great day to have relaxation! Don't you agree dear?" Rarity said to Twilight.
"I agree Rarity. Sometimes, I need a break!" Twilight replied.
"I do hope this day is not spoiled! If not, then it's awesome to relax." Rainbow Dash said.
"Now, now my little ponies. We're just relaxing for the day. Tomorrow, it's resume of our daily lives, again." Celestia said.
"I would dearly hope it's-" Luna got cut off by a sudden white flash, and the ponies got blinded by the flash. Moments later, the flash disappeared, and for a moment, the ponies were dazed. After a few seconds, they regained their sights.
"What in the hay was that?" Applejack asked. The ponies were now looking for the source of the flash, and on the horizon in the Equestrian Sea, they found the answer for Applejack's question. 2 massive ships were spotted, with different sizes however. But, they have a similarity: they have grey hulls in metal. The flag is not Equestrian, so it's not Equestrian in nature, with the massive sticks sticking out from the 'turtle shell'.
"Uhm, Princesses, I do hope you know those ships, do you?" Twilight asks.
"No. Our current iron ship, EQN(Equestrian Navy) Canterlot, is based on Manehattan. In fact, I don't even recall ships having smaller ones at it's sides." The ponies view it more closely, and soon enough, they saw the smaller 'sticks' on 'turtle shells' in the sides of those ships.
"Twilight, can you please give me a paper and quill. I need to send an urgent message to the Capt. of the Canterlot."
"For what, Princess?"
"You will know soon." Twilight did as the Princess ordered, and the Princess starts writing a letter to the Captain of the only iron warship in Equestria. After a few minutes of writing, she was finished.
"Twilight, can you please mail this letter to the Captain?"
"Sure Princess. Hang on. Spike!" Twilight said. Soon, a little baby purple dragon showed up and said:
"Yes Twilight?"
"Please deliver this letter to Manehattan."
"Sure thing." The dragon held the letter and now runs to Manehattan.
"I do hope it arrives." Celestia said.
"Me too." Twilight said.
-Kriegsmarine Perspective-
"Wo die hölle sind wir?!(Where the hell are we?!)" Captain Lindemenn exlaimed.
"Kapitän, flotte ist ordnung.(Captain, fleet is okay.)" one of the sailors of the Bismarck said.
"Gut.(Good.)"
"Kapitän, nehmen ein blick dies der auf die von ufer.(Captain, take a look on the shore.)" one of the sailors said. The Captain take his binoculars and zooms on the shore. What he sees was astonishing. In the shore was 8 miniature horses, with different colors. One has a hat on it.
'Die hölle?!' the Captain cursed in his thoughts. His mind was racing with thoughts, but was interrupted by the Gunnery Control officer.
"Welche ist lhr bestellungen?(What is your orders?)" The Captain think of it for a moment, before answering:
"Nur segeln.(Just sail.)"
"Ja Kapitän.(Yes Captain.)" The 2 ships, Bismarck and Prinz Eugen, sail away to uncharted waters, unaware that they will be intercepted by the Equestrian Navy.
-Manehattan Harbor-
The sun was shining above Manehattan Harbor, in which the Equestrian Navy has it's Forward Operating Base. The pride of the navy was EQN Canterlot, which was just commissioned a few days ago. The Canterlot was the first of it's kind, the Royal Sisters-class ships, the only class which is made out of pure metal. It's classic design was fairly neat, equivalent to the Dreadnought-class Battleships, but has distinct differences.
First of all, because this era was mostly wooden ships, the Canterlot has a catapult, which was an unusual design for a ship. Second, it is not a typical fighting ship, rather, it was used for close to medium ranges for the defense of merchant ships. And third, this ship is very outdated even before it was commissioned because of it's only armament and armor, which is just 3 inches thick.
The Captain of the Canterlot, Ironwit, was sipping coffee for awaiting of orders to go out and defend merchant ships. His thoughts were full, being awarded with an award, and becoming a national hero. But his thoughts of becoming a hero was cut of by voice.
"Mail from the Princess." He turned around and saw a little dragon, holding a paper tied by a silk ribbon.
"Give it to me and thank you." The dragon give the letter, before replying with a 'Your welcome' bow. The Captain then untie the letter, which reads:
Dear Captain Ironwit,
As of today, when I have a beach party with my sister and the Elements of Harmony, a sudden flash caught us off-guard, and 2 ships have been spotted. Because I fear of this ships, I have a new mission for you: locate and intercept this ships. That's the only order.

The Captain was delighted, and after a final sip of his tea, he packs up and must board the Canterlot with the order.
'This is the chance that I have been waiting for.' he thought with a smile, wanting to prove for Equestria that he was one of the elite.
