Eclipse released a cry of pain and brought her hoof to her head, she was having more flashbacks and the pain was worse than before. “Eclipse?” she looked up to see a worried look on Nightmare Moon and replied “sister”. Eclipse stumbled back a few steps and blacked out.
Lunar Eclipse awoke in a massive white room, she quickly stood up and surveyed her surroundings, “w-where am I?” she asked anxiously, her voice echoed for a while until she heard another voice, “so this is what I’ve become” it said. Eclipse spun round to face the direction the voice had originated from.
A lavender unicorn started to walk towards her, “T-twilight?” Eclipse asked in confusion. The lavender unicorn smiled, “what are you doing here?” asked Eclipse “This is your conscience” Replied Twilight, “It has taken the form of a space that we can both see each other in, which explains the room”. Deep down Eclipse wanted to be her usual nasty self, but something was preventing this from happening, Intrigued to know more she opened her mouth again to speak, “what am I doing here?” she asked “I needed to speak to you” Replied Twilight. Eclipse closed her eyes, deep down she hated Twilight but she was surprised she was so calm about the current ordeal. “What about?” asked eclipse, in reply to Twilight’s previous question, “about the flashbacks you've been having” replied Twilight. Eclipse sighed; “I've been wondering why I've been having them” she said and sat down. “Allow me to explain” replied Twilight who also sat down.
Twilight explained the whole ordeal behind the flashbacks to Eclipse who eventually made sense of the situation “so, Spike is your baby dragon who I keep having flashbacks about?” said Eclipse “Yes” replied Twilight “so you did something, while being you were being transformed into me, which resulted in me having flashbacks about Spike?” “Correct” replied Twilight “I wished that I would never forget about Spike no matter what happened” she added “It all makes sense now” Said Eclipse “one more thing” replied Twilight “now that you know this, the pain from the flashbacks will be non-existent” she added. Lunar Eclipse stood up, “thank you Twilight Sparkle” she smiled “I hold a lot more respect for you now, than I previously did and, if it makes you feel better to know this” she lowered head looking at the ground “I regret being like this”. Twilight smiled at the comment, knowing that Eclipse held respect for her but she also held respect for Eclipse as she had just shown that she does have a soul. “Good luck” Twilight said “Thank you Twilight, for everything” said Eclipse before she smiled at Twilight as she slowly faded, returning to the area of Eclipse’s conscience where she was held.
Back in the castle of the royal pony sisters Nightmare Moon paced back and forth, next to her sisters unconscious body. “Twilight” mumbled Eclipse. Nightmare Moon’s eyes widened.
