Across the hall from Rainbows room was Cadences’ whispers could be heard through the door.
“You have to win cadence not just for me but for The Crystal Empire too.”
“Shining Armor I will try my best Celestia is the strongest alicorn. But I will try my best honey.”
“As long as you try I love you now go get something to eat before the battle starts.”
Cadence kissed her husband goodbye and went to the cafeteria. She grabbed some salad and sat next to the other two winners Applejack and Rainbow dash. She saw Celestia at the end of the cafeteria in the corner of her eye but she never looked at her throughout all of break because that was her new enemy. The fateful speakers came on and commanded them to get report to the battlefield in five minutes. Therefore, they quickly finished their food and said goodbye to loved ones and friends. They started to leave when Shining Armor came up from behind and wished both of them good luck down there. Then he whispered into his wife’s ear.
“Good luck down there sweetie and remember Celestia is your new enemy I love you.”
Then they kissed goodbye for which could be the last moment and kiss they will ever share. Nevertheless, that won’t be known quiet yet until the winner of battle is crowned. They both walked down without saying a word to each other. They were greeted like the others by two guards. Told the rules and given 10 minutes of practice before for the third time that day ponies started to pour in and take their seats. Now Rainbow dash and Applejack were in the winner’s box. Next to Dent Death. After almost half, an hour of silence between the two Celestia spoke to cadence.
“Listen Cadence you have been my favorite student but sadly I must expel one of my students I love you.”
“Student? We are a few minutes away from trying to kill each other and you try calling me your student. How could you know what a princess Celestia you were never a good Princess. Such as a your problems Discord queen chrysalis a You never got rid of them you just put them away and let six ponies deal with your problems. Luna does 75 percent of the things you should be doing.”
Everypony in the crowed had their mouths wide open in shock and quit a few even laughed. Princess Celestia was shocked but in her mind, she knew it was right every word Cadence had just spoke. Celestia always sat in her throne doing whatever. While her sister was doing work most of her day. She could have been rid of her enemies but let others deal with it.
“Well Mrs Cadence after what you had just spoken I hope you lose this thing all I was trying to do was say by goodbye.”
The countdown began. 5 4 3 2 1 Begin! After being able to look over two fights both of them knew what to do armor first. Because that armor might save their lives. It saved Rainbow dash and Applejack. Hell if it was not for that armor the outcomes of these battles could be different if it wasn’t for that armor. Right after she put on her armor, she threw a knife at Celestia. Celestia stopped it with her magic quickly flew up and threw it back down at Cadence. She stopped it put it down flew up and tried for an Ariel attack. Celestia just missed her and was hit on impact. Both ponies fell in pain Cadence’s plan didn’t go as well as expected but still was able to hit her foe. It only took Celestia a couple seconds to get back up. She sent a Bolt of lightning right at Cadence it was an accurate hit. Cadence was hit right in the gut. She started to throw up a bit of blood from all the pain. Celestia flew down gracefully as if she was never injured or hit. She took one spear from the weapons. She held it at Cadence’s face. Now crying Celestia spoke.
“Im sorry my student I will always remember you.”
“Im not you DAMN STUDENT!”
Cadence shot a huge ball of energy right at Celestia which made her slam into the wall. Cadence then put all her strength into picking up the weak princess flying into the air and throwing her back down to the rocky terrain. Celestia tried to move before Cadence could get another hit on her. But for some reason every bit she moved she felt pain not just in her body but mostly in her left wing. She yelped in pain she finally looked at her wing. Her eyes got big as she saw her wing was broken and no spell could fix it she tried getting up shivering in the pain that rocked her body. Cadence swooped down and used a spell that chained Celestia to the ground. Meanwhile Dent was laughing saying great move. For what seemed like hours Cadence kept coming down and hitting the poor princess. Finally one of her attacks missed and broke the chain she lost control of her flying and hit the ground hard enough to leave a huge gash on her leg. Some of her armor even broke into small pieces. Celestia saw this as an opportunity she got back on her hooves. Cadence was able to crawl and get some medicine but right when she was going to put a little more on it was kicked out of her hooves. In fear she slowly looked behind her to see Celestia standing up on all fours looking down at Cadence. She almost shat herself.
“Celestia am sorry please don’t hurt me I’m very sorry just please don’t hurt me.”
“Cadence the Empire doesn’t need you Luna and I can take their of them and Equestria.”
Right before Celestia stumbled over to Cadence she went over to where the weapons had been. Grabbed a small knife that could finish Cadence off when she pulled it out Cadence screamed in fear. Celestia held it up and faster than anything brought the knife down it went right into Cadence. A new scream came from her pain it was in new places where pain was never felt. Celestia brought it back out with tears and a smirk on her face. She leaned over her starring into her eyes. The Medics came to see if she was dead but right when they came out. Cadence’s eyes popped open she pulled out the Knife and jammed into Celestia. Celestia fell on her back. The knife came back out and went through her again. Cadence threw the knife to the side and held her shoulder in pain from the stab wound. She put medicine on it. She sat breathing a sigh of relief. However, all of a sudden a gasp came from the crowed. Cadence sat confused but looked behind her to see Princess Celestia trotting over to her ready to attack. Cadence stood ready and braced. Celestia flew up but forgot about her broken wing she grunted and fell down once more. The announcer spoke on the intercom.
“Two minutes remaining.”
Cadence looked panicked looking for the time and seeing the clock countdown to both of them being killed. She found the knife. Right beside Celestia, she flew over to her and grabbed the knife. Celestia got ahold of Cadence and swung at her it missed. They struggled but Cadence was able to buck Celestia to the side and get ahold of the small bloody knife. Trotted over to the somehow still breathing princess who was shaky getting up but she got up just in time to buck Cadence to the ground. She walked over to her and whispered sorry it came to this she reached for the knife when Cadence stabbed her again. Then a second, time a third, time and a fourth, time. A fifth, and sixth, seventh, and eighth,. She repeatedly stabbed Celestia not giving up until all of her energy was gone and she couldn’t breathe. She fell back but then threw the knife at her foe and stuck in her. The medics came out right away to check Princess Celestia’s pulse. But made sure to keep a small distance incase Celestia wasn’t dead. They checked it and confirmed her dead. They took the body out of there. They helped Cadence up and take her to her room as everypony left for intermission before the last battle of the day. When she got in her room and closed the door, Shining armor ran to her and hugged her.
“I knew you could do it honey I love you please stay with me throughout all this.”
“I’ll do my best sweetie the next battle should be easier since I’m not facing a princess or any alicorn.”
“Just hope Cadence and ill hope to I’ve already lost my sister I’m not losing you too now ill got get you something to eat go lay down.
While everypony talked and ate down the hall was where Dent was. Rainbow dash stood in front of the door and toughened up and knocked. A minute later he opened the door.
“Why hello their Mrs. Winner and what in Equestria can I do for you?”
Rainbow swallowed hard. “I would like to volunteer to face Cadence instead of Applejack sir.”
He laughed. “Why should I do that because your friends.”
She knew that’s why but she needed another excuse because he would automatically say no just because their friends.
“Well that’s a small part of it but I um really uh want to face a princess I’m really tough and I want to beat a princess.”
“So your telling me that a small Pegasus like you wants to face a bigger pony that can fly and does magic are you crazy or something?”
“Not at all I’m the strongest pony around I want to face her let me do this.
“I’ve never met a pony this confident I suppose you can face her.”
“Thanks sir and one more thing what made you evil.”
“HAHAHa that old story well when I was an apprentice of Celestia I was supposed to become a prince if I learned some hard spell I know it now but back then it was hard. I couldn’t do it so I learned other spells. I tried my luck but I wasn’t accepted. I then promised to make her pay so I turned Luna into what you already knew as Nightmare moon. After that she imprisoned me far away where for the longest time I learned spells and made ones. When she came to get me 2 weeks ago to end me she found I was now an alicorn and stronger than her. Does that answer your question sweet heart?”
Rainbow dash’s jaw was wide opened and she sat on the ground she now knew how this all started and that this was Celestia’s fault.
“How? How could you do that! TO LUNA AND DO ALL THIS FOR REVENGE ON THE PRINCESSES. How could somepony do that! You are a dirty bastard.”
He sat laughing. “Oh guards get the talking thing out of here she is very annoying.”
She tried squirming out but the guards threw her out and whispered sorry and they closed the door. She screamed out DAMN YOU! Applejack came running down and asked Rainbow whats wrong.”
“Well let’s start out with that he was the reason Luna had turned into Nightmare moon for that time. It was also Celestias fault that he is back here and we have to kill each other all because of her!”
“Goly Rainbow this guy is even more evil then I thought.”
“I know but I have a bit of good news. We won’t have to face each other next round.”
“Wow you convinced him that. That’s awesome Rainbow dash thank you.”
Both ponies had a passionate kiss when they broke it they walked together back to the cafeteria. They got something to eat and sat next to each other.
