"Spike!" The voice of the purple unicorn librarian ricocheted off the walls of the hallow tree-like home, eventually reaching the ears of her dragon assistant Spike. Upon hearing the voice of Twilight, Spike made his way downstairs, interrupting his progress on his chores of organizing all of Twilight's quills by sharpness.
Spike made his way downstairs quickly as his baby dragon legs could without him tripping over his own two feet. Once he arrived in the main chamber of the library he responded to Twilight's call. "Yes Twilight?" He asked standing at attention almost like a soldier.
"Spike, you organized a few of the books incorrectly. particularly, you put 'The Science of Cupcakes' with all of the other books on Muffins." Twilight lectured, acting like this should be common knowledge not to have the books so much as share the same dust speckles. Twilight's horn light up with a purple aura as she grasped the two books with her magic, and neatly placed them in her perfectly segregated sections. "Ah, there, much better!" Twilight exclaimed happily.
"Aren't Cupcakes and Muffins the same thing anyways?" Spike asked shrugging, obviously not understanding, or sharing the same level of neatness and organization that Twilight is known for.
"No Spike! Cupcakes are..." Almost as faith was mocking her, Twilight was interrupted by a burst of light green flames, perfectly matching Spike's spines along his tail, and a letter materializing itself in a blink of magic. "Oh, its a letter from the Princess! It must be important!" Twilight's horn again light up with a purple aura and she grabbed the scroll. "I wonder what its about?" She thought out loud. The next moment she opened it, curious to find out what it would say. The scroll unrolled quickly, revealing the contents written in fine ink.
"My faithful student, I have a task for you to complete. I have received reports of a mysterious temple located on an island over the seas. This is a newly discovered temple and we are unsure of what it contains, so we would like you to investigate, along with your friends in Ponyville. This could be dangerous, but we are confident in you and your friendships and bonds to overcome whatever stands in your way. Good luck my faithful student! I have sent tickets for you and your friends to board a ferry tomorrow morning for the Island.

Ps. I need to get some peanut butter, would you mind picking some up on the way?"
"Peanut butter? Why does the Princess want me to pickup peanut butter?" Twilight pondered, but she figured that Celestia was just trying to fit in with the other ponies. The Princess had never been one to like being treated as higher then the other ponies, she was very humble, and just wanted to have a good time mostly. Must be all of those peace treaty meetings and the like. "Anyways, this sounds like a pretty dangerous task, and urgent! I have to go tell all my friends before its to late! The ferry leaves tomorrow!
"Yeah, say Twilight since you're going to be going on a ferry and an adventure, and even a little bit of a vacation, don't you think it would be..." Spike tried to ask Twilight a question, hoping to get some relaxation time alone, maybe he could make that gem cake he had always been wanting to make, but he was quickly interrupted.
"Oh yes Spike You're going to take care of my chores while i'm gone How thoughtful of you That is why you are my number one assistant after all!"
"But I..." Spike attempted to interrupt, but Twilight was to caught up in her agenda
"Well I have to run Celestia will only keep the sun up for so long And I have to go tell all my friends about this whole thing before tomorrow Thanks again Spike!" Twilight words almost flew as she spoke quickly nervous about being late. Especially since this wasn't even on any of her schedules or checklists, she would have to fix that later, but for now no time to waste! Twilight quickly trotted her way through the door pushing it out of the way with her magic, and shutting it just as quickly as she left through it. As soon as she got outside she began galloping her way to her first destination.
" Well, a dragon can try I guess..."
