I woke up later that afternoon, with Luna, and I thought of some specialized armor I saw a few SWAT members wear, one specifically...what was his name? Kurtis Stryker? I believe that was his name. I thought of the armor he wore, we met a few times on earth. Once, it was under bat circumstances, when I was being a bad guy. We fought, he was pretty good. Naturally I won, and after a while, we met up again, after I helped save him, and stop an attack. From then on, we were pretty good friends. So, I thought of his armor, and snapped my fingers, and his armor appeared on me. Man I love these Chaos Powers, but I'm not gonna abuse them. I'll only use these abilities if I need to, or if I feel like having a bit of fun. I looked at myself in the mirror and saw a stripe ranking on the shoulder armor, and S.W.A.T on the chest plate. That needed to be changed. I snapped my fingers, and the S.W.A.T was replaced by Luna's cutie mark. Then the shoulder armor's stripe rank, was replaced by MY cutie mark. rather than replace the hat, I took it off, and put my bandanna on, tying it up around my forehead like before. Now, I was ready, to train, and become Luna's guardian.
"Wow, you look wonderful hun." Luna said, after seeing my new armor.
"Thanks darling." I said. Then Scootaloo shown up.
"Nice look dad! But, I think it's missing something...." She said. thinking.
"Like what dear Scootaloo?" I said.
"Something like THIS!" she said holding up one of the Cutie Mark Crusader's capes.
"Awww, well then, don't you think it's a bit small?" I asked? holding it, then after seeing her sad, I snapped my fingers after thinking of an idea "Wait, let's try something." I said, I handed it back to her, then untied my bandanna, and then, after taking the cape back, I folded it up a bit, and tied it around my head. A perfect fit. I could use it as a makeshift bandanna. The emblem of the CMC was proudly shown on my forehead now. "So, what do ya think now Scoots?" I asked.
"Perfect!" She said. I looked at Luna.
"What about you darling?" I asked.
"It looks wonderful, it really completes it to a degree, it shows your not playing around, that you'll protect your family. Especially with that gear." She said pointing a hoof at the sticks off my back, box like item hanging off my belt, and the pole looking thing on the other side.
"Thanks dear, now, shall we be going?" I asked, stepping over to the door.
"Of course." She said walking out, leading me to another area of the castle. On the way, we encountered some guards solar guards, rushing to the training area.
"Soldier, what's going on, where's everypony going?" I asked.
"To the training area, there's some Griffon wanting to become a Guard, she's taking on 3 guards at once! Captain Shining Armor's there as well to watch! The fact that he shown up is surprising!" He explained. He then turned, bowing to Luna, and ran off deeper.
"Three on one?" I asked curious.
"A Griffon? Wishing to become a guard?!? This is certainly interesting. Let's hurry!" Luna replied before galloping ahead, with me following in a sprint.
Wow. Three tough guards, all solar guards however, fighting with a Griffon. She was quite good. She took to the skies to come down on the guards, followed by the Pegasus guards at the same time.
"Captain Armor, what a welcome surprise!" I said putting an arm on his back, startling him.
"WHA?!? Oh, Red! Hey, long time no see!" He said, bumping his hoof with my hand.
"So, on to the fight, who's the new recruit?" I asked motioning to the Griffon, who was currently grabbing both Pegasi, and piledriving them. "Ohh...nice moves."
"She calls her self Selena. She wants to become an agent of Princess Luna's army." He said.
"Agent Selena huh? Nice ring to it." I said, before smirking. "I can't wait to take her on to train myself." I said, much to Shining Armor's surprise. Also, turns out he and Cadence had lied to me, they were half married. They had already married by most standards, but it wasn't official. I look forward to their wedding though.
"What do you mean to train yourself Red?" He asked.
"Simple. Why else am I dressed in this armor? I'm going to become Luna's guardian." I explained. He smiled and nodded.
"Well, I think we can arrange a match, but first, I want to see how good YOU are. I'll pit you against my best twins. The Lunar Guard twins to be exact." He said.
"Awesome. Twins huh? Sounds like fun!" I said, before turning my attention back to the fight, and Oh my...she already took them all down. She just walked away, with nary a scratch on her, with the three guards she fought straining to get up.
"Agent Selena, wait a moment." Shining Armor called out from the viewing booth, she stopped and turned before looking up. I jumped down, and landed with my fist hitting the ground, and I went to a knee. I looked up at her, the white feathered head, with some pink patches on her eyes, brown feathers covered her body, going into fur for her main body and hind legs.
"Yes Sir?" She asked, looking up at me as I stood up, before turning to look back at Captain Armor.
"This is Red. He's Luna's colt friend, and is going to try and become her guardian. He wants a match with you, but first, he's going to fight the two Lunar Guard twins we have. I'd like you to wait and watch him with us." He said, she nodded, and after shaking my hand, she flew up to the viewing booth. I turned as a door open, and two twin guards come out.
Two twins entered, there were differences between them to easily identify them though. One, was a unicorn mare, the other, a Pegasus Stallion. He had bat-like wings, and looked like something from the darkest of nights. like a creeper. She, had similar features, but her horn was crooked. Whether that be a way to identify her as a member of the Lunar guard or not, I don't know. Atleast with her brother it's clear, her, possibly. Because they were Twins, feature wise, anyway, they most likely worked together. The mare spoke up
"I'm Moonstrike." She said. Yep, definitely a Lunar Guard by name alone. Then her brother, the Pegasus stallion spoke up.
"Name's Eclipse. Nice to meet ya...Red was it?" His voice sounded...caring. almost fatherly. While his sister's was more brash, like Rainbow almost, eager to fight, like she's got something to prove.
"Yes sir, Name's Red. But if I'm gonna have a code name, I think I'ma call myself, Agent Nocturne." I said with a smile.
"Alright then." Eclipse said with a chuckle "Let's see how good you are at avoiding attacks" He said, before getting ready like he was about to charge.
"I'll be firing magic bolts, while my brother will be trying to catch you with flying attacks. Good luck!" She said before charging her horn, and firing attack spells rapidly.
"Alright." I said before starting to run, and occasionally hopping to avoid the blasts from the spells, ducking to avoid Eclipses occasional dash, swoop, and a few of his wing attacks.
I kept up the defense for about 1 minute, before Shining Armor stopped us. He said I passed the defense test. Before he could announce my opponents for the actual training, A guard came in, saying there were reports of a large dragon coming from the air, off by Ponyville. I already had started sprinting out before they could even give orders.
