Ch.4
You wake up in the hospital yet again. This time Dash is waiting next to you. "Well look who Finally decided to wake up." She says with a huge smile. You look around in confusion "Did an apple cart fall on me again?" She laughs, and you realize just how beautiful her laugh is. "No silly, after Luna told you the story you passed out. After a few hours of talking to the princesses, Luna suggested that we return you to the hospital, just in case. Its a good thing too, the story put you in a stress induced coma for four days.'' You look at her and your jaw drops. "A four day coma from a STORY?" ''Well not just a story. It seems hearing the story removed the mental block compleatly and the rush of memories overloaded your mind, shutting it down. Luna said it took two days to sort through all the memories, a day of resting, and a day to reboot compleatly with your conciseness and memories being the last to come back 'online'. You still might not have all your memories back however the mental block is gone so all the memories will come back eventually." You look at her like shes crazy. "What do you mean? I remember everything i remember everything about the story and the dreams, but nothing else, nothing i didn't know after luna told me the story," Dash looks concerned. "This isn't right, she said you should at least remember bits and pieces if not whole days. Ill be right back, i have to get Luna." She dissapears in a gust of wind as she takes flight inside the tent hospital. You look around and realize that, once again, you are the only pony in the hospital. As if reading your mind, a pegasis pony stumbles through the door. She look up at you, tears falling from her eyes. "Help me..." And she collapses. You jump up yelling for help. Midnight teleports next to you with a questioning look on her face that immediatly turns to horror as she realizes shes standing over a pegasis pony collapsed in a pile on the ground. She immediately shoves you out of the way, grabing the injured pony and dragging her to a bed. She turns to you "I have to find the doc, keep an eye on her. If she wakes up find out what happened." And with that she vanashes in a flash. You wonder why she teleports so much, Twilight says its very tiring because of the amount of concentration it takes to not end up in a wall. Then you remember her cutey mark and that her special talents are nursing and teleportation. You also remember the sad story of how she discovered those talents.
It was a rainy night. The young filly, Midnight, was running home. She had to stop it, she just had to, but she knew she would never get there in time. There was just one way. She concentrated on an image of her house and 'Blinked' out of this realm. When she 'Blinked' back, she was only a few feet ahead of where she left, although she was the youngest to ever teleport successfully, she still wasn't powerful enough to manage long distances. She began to run again, knowing she would never make it on time. By the time she got home the deed was done. Her mother lay at her feet, bleeding from multiple wounds. She looks down at her mother as she drags every bit of energy she has and channels it into a spell. The healing spell works, but she still isn't powerful enough to close all her wounds. She starts crying as she falls onto her mother, who looks at her and says "Don't worry, mommy is going to a better place and remember, ill always watch over you." With that her mother passes on. Midnight gets off the body,for that's all it is now, her mothers soul is gone. She hears a noise in the shadows in the corner. She casts a light spell and sees a yellow pegasis pony with a Pink mane....
You jump up, realizing you must have dozed off. You wonder where you got this memory. Midnight never said anything about a yellow and pink pegasis at her house when her mother died. With a start you realize you know that pony, but it couldn't be...... Fluttershy? Just then Dash came back with Princess Luna. "Hey Blue im ba... whoa who is that?" You look around wondering who shes talking about and you realize you forgot all about the other pegasis in the hospital. "O she came in right after you left, Midnight left to find the doctor." Just then Midnight comes back with Twilight. "I couldn't find the doc but Twilight says she can help." "Although i dont know much about medicen but i do know quite alot of magic." Luna says walking over to the bed to help. You look at dash and tell her your going to lay down and rest. She follows you back to your bed at the other side if the tent and lays with you as you fall asleep. When you wake up, Luna, Twilight, and Midnight are walking by your bed on the way to the office. You jump up and follow them into the office waking Rainbow Dash in the process. You enter the office with Dash behind you. You approach Midnight and call her name. "Hey Midnight i have a few questions. After you left i passed out watching over the other patient. I had another dream, involving you." Midnight looks at you with a curious look. "The dream was about the night you got your cutie mark." This time Midnight looks sad as she remembers that night. Twilight gives you a look as she says. "Blue, i don't think this is the time or place." ''NO" you say."I need to know the truth. I think we ALL need the truth. Midnight, i don't know how i got your memory, but when your mother passed was anyone else there." Midnight gasps and looks at Rainbow Dash. 'weird' you think 'why would she look at Dash?' You look between the two. Midnight looked nervous and Dash just sits there trying not to look at anyone. 'So it IS true, she really was there." Twilight and Luna just sit there confused. "Who was there Blue?" I turn to them. "Flu...OOMF" Dash tackles you, yelling. "NO THIS IS NOT THE TIME OR THE PLACE BLUE!!" Twilight stairs at Dash in shock. "Rainbow Dash whats wrong with you?" Dash blushes at her outburst. "N.. nothing, will you three excuse us, we need to talk. Alone." And with that she drags you outside. "Dash, where are you taking me?" "Not now, we need to go to my house." She takes off, forcing you to follow her. When you arrive at her cloud house she walks over to the wall. "What im about to show you can never be told to anyone. The only ponys in ponyville who know are me, Midnight, Fluttershy, Applejack, and now you." She kicks the cloud wall and it vanishes. Whats behind it stuns you. There are some sort of white robes and some shiny weapons hanging up. You turn to Dash. "What is all this stuff." " This is my equipment. I am part of the brotherhoof. We are a league of assassins. We are usually inactive except at important events. In fact there hasn't been an assassination since Midnight's mother. Fluttershy was the one who carried out the assassination. Fluttershy was a master assassin at the time, although she is now the leader of our whole organization." You look at her. "If Midnight knows about the brotherhoof and her mothers assassination, why does she still hang out with you." "O that. Well she has come to terms with that a long time ago. You see if that had not happened then Midnight she wouldn't have discovered her talents in time to pass the entrance test for Celestias school for gifted unicorns. She would have grown up and followed in her parents footsteps and taken over the family business. Her parents were the owners of a smuggling business. When her father lost her mother, he realized just how dangerous and how bad the business was. He became an adviser to an investing company. He eventually worked his way up and became one of Celestias personal advisers. Midnight went to nursing school and got a job in Ponyville as the nurse, where she eventually fell in love with twilight and made friends with all of us. Even us in the Brotherhoof." You look from her to the robes and back. "So if you and Fluttershy are in it and Midnight knows about it because of her mother. Why does Applejack know." Dash explanes how the 'Templar's' the assassins main enemy, had discovered that there was at least one assassin in Ponyville and about how Dash learned of a hit being put out on Applejack by the Templar's when they mistakenly thought Applejack was the assassin. Dash told Applejack the whole story and began training her so she could protect herself. Eventualy she joined the Brotherhoof. "So have you ever..." She looks guilty. "Once, he was the boss of a vicous gang in cloudsdale. There was no other way, the authorities tried everything. Eventually Princess Celestia ordered the hit. Afterwards, i was sick to my stomick for hours. Thankfully the gang broke up after there leaders brutal death, and the templares have been all but eradicated since, so the brotherhoof has slowly become more of a secret security force." You wonder what she could mean by that, and she reads your expression. "During the Grand Galloping Gala all three of us had hidden weapons on our person at all times." You look at her impressed. "Wow i know how to pick them." You say with a chuckle. "We should be getting back to the others after the way you dragged me out of there. Im sure the princess is worried." Dash starts laughing. "No im sure shes not, after all she is the founder of the brotherhoof." You look at her in surprise. Dash just chuckles again. "What, is it that hard to believe that the princess of the night founded a league of assassins that use the shadows to disappear?" You realize that when its put that way, its not that hard to believe. You tell her its time to get back as you walk outside and prepair to take off. She follows you after replacing the cloud wall she kicked. "Hey Blue, race ya." You laugh and take off, using your strength and the surprise take off to try to gain enough space between you two to have a chance. Unfourtenatly she was still too fast, making yet another sonic rainboom in the process, literally leaving you in her dust. You land next to her and you both walk into the hospital. You realize you forgot all about the pegasis that came in. You walk over to her and ask Midnight what was wrong with her. "O nothing at the moment besides broken wings. She had internal injuries that I healed, she also had a skull fracture and a concussion." Dash walks over to her and gasps. "Sunshine? What happened to you." Midnight turns on Dash. "You know her?" Dash looks around making sure its just you three. "Shes part of the brotherhoof. Last i remember she was the master assassin for Mainhatten. I wonder what shes doing here?" You look at the broken pegasis on the bed and wonder what happened to her. You wonder if Luna could look into her mind as she did yours, but you realize that the only reason she looked into your mind was because she already knew your memories and was only making sure the rush of memories wasn't destroying your mind. Looking into 'sunshines' memory would be nothing less then an invasion of privacy. You settle down in a chair next to her bed as you wait for her to regain conciseness.
