Volvox was the very first being created on Earth by the Maker and the gods, he was ageless and already an adult when he was created, the Maker and gods were surprised by how he turned out, he was a three thousand feet tall, three hundred fifty feet wide, three hundred feet long creature with three heads with the back of his heads shaped like semicircles and the front shaped like two back-to-back right triangles, he did not have any ears or noses, his four eyes were slanted and monochromatic and did not have any pupils or irises and were on the sides of his head. The right half of his body and right head were gray and skeletal with black holes in place of his eyes and white teeth, the five claws on his right front foot and right hind foot were also made of gray bones. The left half of his body and his left head were pitch black like a shadow, the head's eyes and teeth and five claws on his left front foot and left hind foot were red. His center head, spine, and tail were pink and made out of a parasitic-like skin, his spine had yellow seven pointed star-like organic matters growing on him and each tip was sharp, the tip of his tail was yellow and shaped like a spear's tip with sharp tips on the back corners, and the center head's eyes and teeth, the seven-pointed organic stars, and his tail's tip were yellow.
Volvox watched the Earth develop over time and many animals get created by The Maker and watched dragons and many other animals fight one another and go extinct, he trained himself and the powers he had and his own fighting abilities to defend himself from predators, he took out his attackers very easily and angels and demons soon came to Earth to use it as a hunting ground and test their own powers and fighting abilities against Earth's animals. Volvox met a demon named Dommiel and befriended him, he was about eight feet tall and had a muscular body, he was wearing a dark blue suit of armor with three red-orange organic spikes on his pauldrons, a white spike on the back of each couter, white spikes on the back of his bracers and gauntlets, a white spike on the top of each sabaton and the end of his sabatons were pointed and sharp, his cuirass did not have any decorations on it, and his leg armor were custom-made, he had one piece cover his entire shins and calves, knee pads, another piece covering his entire thighs, and a piece of armor that covered his groin and butt areas, his helmet covered his entire head and left only his glowing red eyes exposed, he had three white horns on his helmet with two curved horns on the sides and one straight horn on his forehead. They watched the world fight until a mass extinction happened and wiped out lots of native life on Earth, the dinosaurs and many other animals died out while Volvox's hellfire powers made him immune to the heat and the angels and demons went back home. Animals that survived the extinction continued with life and some went extinct due to Earth's changes.
Volvox noticed the dragons survived the mass extinction and the angels and demons also came back, The Maker and other gods created new beings to roam the Earth and another cycle of life began. Volvox decided to spend this time getting to know the angels, demons, and dragons, Dommiel introduced him to many demons and got to learn its seventy two high ranking members and seven rulers, the seventy two high ranking demons were Bael, Agares, Vassago, Samigina, Marbas, Valefor, Amon, Barbatos, Paimon, Buer, Gusion, Sitri, Beleth, Leraje, Eligos, Zepar, Botis, Bathin, Sallos, Purson, Morax, Ipos, Aim, Naberius, Glasya-Labolas, Buné, Ronove, Berith, Astaroth, Forneus, Foras, Asmoday, Gaap, Furfur, Marchosias, Stolas, Phenex, Halphas, Malphas, Raum, Focalor, Vepar, Sabnock, Shax, Vine, Bifrons, Vual, Haagenti, Crocell, Furcas, Balam, Alloces, Caim, Murmur, Orobas, Gremory, Ose, Amy, Orias, Vapula, Zagan, Valac, Andras, Flauros, Andrealphus, Kimaris, Amdusias, Belial, Decarabia, Seere, Dantalion, and Andromalius while its seven rulers were Lucifer, Leviathan, Mammon, Beelzebub, Belphegor, Asmodeus, and Satan. Volvox met with the angels next and got know them and their seven field commanders, they were archangels and their names were Michael, Gabriel, Raphael, Uriel, Barachiel, Jegudiel, and Selaphiel, he also got to meet the fallen angels, who were angels that disobeyed Heaven's rule and were sent to Hell as punishment, he learned their two leaders were Azrael and Abaddon. Volvox then got to know the dragons next and learned its leader was a big winged dragon named Tom, Volvox barely restrained his laughter from how simple his name was but managed to form an alliance and friendship with them.
The years passed and Volvox saw several creatures thought extinct survived the mass extinction and they lived with the new creatures, many more were created as the years passed and Earth became a busy place again. Gods from outer space eventually visited the Earth and they were more powerful than Earth's gods and its creatures, their abstract and horrific appearances scared everybody away,
"So, this is Earth, quite an abundance of species' you all have here." the center being said in a distorted voice,
"Who are you?" Volvox's center head asked with a booming voice,
"I am Azathoth, that there is Cxaxukluth, that's Daoloth over there, that's Ghroth back there, that's Nyarlathotep over there, that's Shub-Niggurath over there, that's Tulzscha over there, that's Yibb-Tstll all the way there, and that's Yog-Sothoth back there." the being answered,
"What brings you all here to Earth?" Michael questioned,
"We watch the cosmos, we noticed this world is teeming with much more life than the other planets, we wondered what was going on." Shub-Niggurath responded,
"What do you all say?" Volvox asked,
"Either remain neutral or become allies, if we fight them or go to war, conflict between cosmic forces and the divine risks shattering the fabrics of existence." Dommiel stated,
"We rule the vastness of space, we decide what kinds of life inhabit the planets, we would like this planet under our rule as well." Nyarlathotep said,
"What does The Maker have to say about this?" Tom questioned, the clouds spun and everybody looked,
"I made them to watch over the cosmos, every other planet does not have a god like this one, I didn't have the energy to make gods for every planet." The Maker answered with a male and female voice speaking in unison,
"Do you want us to form a pact with them?" Raphael questioned,
"If it keeps things peaceful, then yes." The Maker responded,
"And if it doesn't?" Uriel asked,
"I'll erase some of you from existence." The Maker answered,
"Very well then, but you nine harm any of us, we go to war." Volvox declared,
"Fair enough, we will be mostly neutral, but we will pass by sometimes to see how things are." Azathoth replied,
"We just wish to train and get stronger, but other than that, we want to be at peace." Dommiel remarked,
"That's fine, we will be on our way now." Cxaxukluth said, and the nine Outer Gods left.
The Earth remained a hunting ground and Shub-Niggurath sometimes came and sent her children to hunt and the Earth's native creatures used them as training and hunted them down, the gods eventually came to see how Earth was progressing and Volvox got to know Zeus, Poseidon, Amphitrite, Hades, Persephone, Typhon, Odin, Thor, Osiris, Amun, Ra, Anubis, Apep, Set, Vishnu, Bishamonten, Huitzilopochtli, and Pazuzu. They began making creatures that looked like them while something strange happened, the dead creatures came back as ghosts while they bodies became reanimated as zombies, Osiris and Anubis also used their powers on the dead to create mummies. Centuries passed and the gods agreed on creating one more species and they created the humans, they acted differently from the other civilizations and worshiped every other creature and monster on the planet and built architectures dedicated to them. Centuries passed and the humans developed very advanced technology and were beginning to bring back extinct animals, they also discovered life on the other planets and got ready to build spacecraft and technology to explore and visit them, but every human suddenly got sick and died by an unseen force and soon went extinct while the other creatures and gods tried to find out what happened, Volvox asked The Maker and it said it believed one of the extraterrestrial lifeforms killed them.
A year passed and the humans were all buried in one area with billions of gravestones marked, the gods continued trying to find out which alien species killed the humans but had no luck. The Outer Gods looked and also confirmed they had no role in making the humans extinct, they also investigated the planets and could not find anything. The humanoid creatures tried using the remaining technology and equipment left behind by the humans and tried to see if they can find anything. They messed with the coordinates and found another realm, they pressed several buttons and the world began to shake, a big wormhole opened and everybody braced for impact and got sent to another realm.
Equestria and the world's natives were going on with their days peacefully until white electricity appeared to the east of Equestria and covered the entire ocean, a big land appeared and it spread out to cover the ocean. The world's natives looked on in surprise at seeing many creatures emerge and at how huge some of them were,
"Where are we?" a female humanoid creature asked,
"Send us back." Volvox stated, his booming voice scared the world's natives,
"No can do, Volvox, we're going to have to wait for the wormhole opener to recharge, it's going to take a while." a male humanoid creature stated,
"Well, let's just lay low here and mind our own businesses until then." Volvox remarked, everybody agreed and got on with their days,
"What do y'all think about them?" Applejack asked,
"Well, I suppose it wouldn't hurt to go and welcome them." Twilight Sparkle stated,
"That's a great idea! I can throw a 'Welcome to this world' party!" Pinkie Pie declared while hopping up and down,
"Um, some of them are big and scary looking." Fluttershy quivered,
"Oh, relax, Fluttershy, they don't look hostile at all." Rainbow Dash observed,
"I think it would be best to greet them as well so we can feel safe." Rarity suggested,
"Yeah, there are dragons with them, too, I think they would be excited to learn about this world's dragons." Spike added,
"Alright, welcoming them, it is, to my balloon, everypony." Twilight Sparkle said, and they entered her hot air balloon and flew to the new land.
The Mane Six and Spike flew to the new land while the creatures noticed them coming and kept their guards up, they arrived and everybody watched them,
"What do you all want?" Barachiel asked,
"We're just here to say hello and welcome you all to our world." Twilight Sparkle responded,
"You guys this world's rulers?" Jegudiel inquired,
"No, we're this world's protectors, but I am a princess of this world's most powerful country." Twilight Sparkle answered,
"That country beside us to the west?" Selaphiel questioned,
"Yes, it is called Equestria, I am Twilight Sparkle, Princess of Friendship, that's Spike, my assistant, that's Rainbow Dash, that's Fluttershy, that's Pinkie Pie, that's Rarity, and that's Applejack." Twilight Sparkle replied, the creatures looked at her with bewilderment,
"Princess of Friendship? That is your title?" Lucifer questioned,
"You guys got a problem with that?" Rainbow Dash inquired while scowling,
"In our world, a title like that would make you the subject of ridicule and harassment." Stolas stated,
"What?! It is a title that announces to the world that she is the one who harmonizes us and teaches us about love and acceptance." Rarity explained,
"Still, Princess of Friendship doesn't sound like a title one would take seriously." Satan remarked,
"Do you all have titles?" Twilight Sparkle inquired,
"Those seven there do." Tom answered,
"Let's hear them." Twilight Sparkle stated,
"Prince of Pride." Lucifer boasted,
"Prince of Envy." Leviathan said,
"Prince of Greed." Mammon remarked,
"Prince of Gluttony." Beelzebub stated,
"Prince of Sloth." Belphegor commented,
"Prince of Lust." Asmodeus spoke,
"Prince of Wrath." Satan announced,
"They don't sound very welcoming." Applejack said,
"They're not, we spread sin, our titles are the sin we spread to mortals." Lucifer explained,
"So, who's the ruler here?" Twilight Sparkle asked,
"I am, but the angels and demons don't obey me, they do their own things, I am the emperor of the world we're from." Volvox explained,
"I must say, what a diverse amount of creatures you have under your rule, I'd like to know the name of each creature type if possible." Twilight Sparkle said,
"Very well." Volvox replied, and he had all of them divided by which group of humans labeled them. He introduced them to the angels first and the Mane Six got to know Michael, Gabriel, Raphael, Uriel, Barachiel, Jegudiel, and Selaphiel, he introduced them to the fallen angels next alongside Azrael and Abaddon, after them were four skeletons in black cloaks riding horses, the first one rode a white horse and held a bow while also wearing a crown, the second one rode a red horse and held a sword, the third one rode a black horse and held scales, and the fourth one rode a pale horse and held a scythe. The demons were next the Mane Six and Spike met Lucifer, Leviathan, Mammon, Beelzebub, Belphegor, Asmodeus, Satan, Bael, Agares, Vassago, Samigina, Marbas, Valefor, Amon, Barbatos, Paimon, Buer, Gusion, Sitri, Beleth, Leraje, Eligos, Zepar, Botis, Bathin, Sallos, Purson, Morax, Ipos, Aim, Naberius, Glasya-Labolas, Buné, Ronove, Berith, Astaroth, Forneus, Foras, Asmoday, Gaap, Furfur, Marchosias, Stolas, Phenex, Halphas, Malphas, Raum, Focalor, Vepar, Sabnock, Shax, Viné, Bifrons, Vual, Haagenti, Crocell, Furcas, Balam, Alloces, Caim, Murmur, Orobas, Gremory, Ose, Amy, Orias, Vapula, Zagan, Valac, Andras, Flauros, Andrealphus, Kimaris, Amdusias, Belial, Decarabia, Seere, Dantalion, and Andromalius, they were then introduced to Dommiel who served as Volvox's second-in-command.
The dragons were introduced next and the Mane Six got to know Tom, after them were the skeletons and ghosts since they were encountered in all cultures the humans had,
"The one Roman monster, come forward." Volvox stated, and it did. The Mane Six met the Basilisk,
"Greek beings, stand next to the whirpool in the water." Volvox ordered, and they did. The Mane Six met Zeus, Poseidon, Amphitrite, Hades, Persephone, Artemis, Typhon, Phoenix, Cerberus, Orthrus, Hydra, Chimera, the Minotaur, Sphinx, Scylla, Charybdis, the Nemean Lion, the Erymanthian Boar, Catoblepas, Talos, the gorgons Stheno, Euryale, and Medusa, the griffon, the hippogriff, the Colchian Dragon, Ladon, the Caucasian Eagle, the fairies, the giants, the were-beasts, the cyclopes, the harpies, the Stymphalian birds, the centaurs, the satyrs, the Laestrygonians, the sirens, the nymphs which consisted of the oreads, the naiads, the nereids, the oceanids, the alseids, the auloniads, the leimakids, the napaeae, the anthousais, the dryads, the hamadryads, the hyleorois, and a unique nymph named Nephele,
"Wow, that's a lot of creatures." Spike commented,
"Norse beings, you're up." Volvox said, and they stepped forward. The Mane Six met Odin, Sleipnir, Thor, the Valkyries, the Kraken, the elves, the trolls, and the draugr,
"Egyptian creatures, you guys are next." Volvox stated, and they came forward. The Mane Six met Osiris, Amun, Ra, Khonshu, Anubis, Apep, Set, and the mummies,
"This one ain't so diverse." Applejack commented,
"Chinese beings, you guys are up." Volvox stated, and they came forward. The Mane Six met the Pixiu and Sun Wukong,
"Oh, there's only two? That's too bad." Fluttershy stated,
"Japanese creatures, your turn." Volvox called out, and they came forward. The Mane Six met Amaterasu, Tsukuyomi, Fujin, Raijin, Shuten-dōji, the Gashadokuro, Yamata-no-Orochi, the Azukiarai, the Bake-kujira, the Ushi-oni, Hibagon, the Hone-onna, Ikuchi, Isonade, Issie, the Ittan-momen, the Jorōgumo, Wanyūdō, Enenra, the Keukegen, Mizuchi, the Mu-onna, the Nue, the Ōmukade, Onihitokuchi, the Raijū, Rōjinbi, the Satori, Tsurube-otoshi, the Tsuchinoko, the tengus, the kitsunes, the tanukis, the yuki-onnas, the onis, the umi-bōzus, the bakenekos, the kappas, the kamaitachis, the nekomatas, the kechibis, the mujinas, the namahages, the ningyos, the nure-onnas, the ōkubis, the onibis, the onikumas, the tenkas, the tsuchigumos, the yadōkais, and the ningens,
"Wow, there's a lot." Fluttershy remarked,
"Filipino beings, you're up." Volvox stated, and they came forward. The Mane Six met the Aswang, the Manananggal, the Bakunawa, the ekeks, the wakwaks,
"Malaysian creature, your turn." Volvox said, and it came forward. The Mane Six met the Penanggalan,
"British creatures, you guys are next." Volvox stated, and they came forward. The Mane Six met the Cockatrice, the Lambton Worm, the Nuckelavee, the Hound of Baskervilles, Boogeyman, Kelpie, Owlman, Spring-heeled Jack, the Headless Horseman, Dullahan, the ogres, the Fomorians, the Sluagh, the leprechauns, and will-o'-the-wisps,
"French creatures, your turn." Volvox called out, and they came forward. The Mane Six met Tarasque, Lou Carcolh, and the goblins,
"Hebrew creatures, you guys are next." Volvox stated, and they came forward. The Mane Six met Behemoth, Ziz, and the golems while they also saw Leviathan come forward,
"Mongolian monster, your turn." Volvox said, and it came forward. The Mane Six met the Mongolian Death Worm, Fluttershy quivered at its appearance,
"Bulgarian group of creatures, you guys are next." Volvox stated and they came forward. The Mane Six met the vampires,
"Haitian monsters, you're up." Volvox called out, they did not come forward. The other creatures directed them and the Mane Six met the zombies,
"Germanic group of creatures, you guys are up." Volvox said, and they came forward. The Mane Six met the dwarfs,
"Wow, they're muscular." Rainbow Dash commented,
"Ugh, they sure can use some fashion if you ask me." Rarity remarked,
"German group of monsters, your turn." Volvox stated, and they came forward. The Mane Six met the alps,
"Um, Tolkien, I believe is what you humans called them? You guys are next." Volvox remarked, and they came forward. The Mane Six met the orcs,
"Arabic monsters, your turn." Volvox said, and they came forward. The Mane Six met the Manticore, the Azhi Dahaka, the Roc, and the ghouls,
"Syrian creatures, you guys are next." Volvox called out, and they came forward. The Mane Six met the mermen and mermaids,
"They look a bit like the seaponies." Applejack said,
"I see the resemblance a little, too." Twilight Sparkle responded,
"Swedish creatures, come on forward." Volvox stated, and they did. The Mane Six met the swan maidens and watched in awe at their transformations from swans to human forms,
"Canadian monster, your turn." Volvox spoke, and it came forward. The Mane Six met the Thetis Lake Monster,
"Himalayan monster, you're up." Volvox stated, and it came forward. The Mane Six met the Yeti,
"Australian monsters, you guys are next." Volvox spoke, and they came forward. The Mane Six met the Bunyip and the yowies,
"Native American creatures, your turn." Volvox said, and they came forward. The Mane Six met Thunderbird, Piasa, the wendigoes, the jackalopes, the skinwalkers, and the pukwudgies,
"And now last but not least, African creatures, you guys are next." Volvox called out, and they came forward. The Mane Six met Kongamato, Popobawa, Grootslang, the mngwas, and the nandi bears,
"Wow, that's a lot of creatures you have." Twilight Sparkle said,
"That still ain't all of 'em though." Applejack replied,
"The others are called cryptids." Volvox stated,
"Can we meet them?" Twilight Sparkle requested,
"Very well. Go ahead and divide yourself by what the humans called you guys." Volvox responded, and they did,
"Those are the American cryptids there." Volvox stated, the Mane Six met Bigfoot, the Jersey Devil, the Dover Demon, the Flatwoods Monster, Mothman, Goatman, and the skunk apes,
"That one there is Mexican." Volvox remarked, the Mane Six met the Chupacabra,
"And those two are British." Volvox commented, the Mane Six met the Loch Ness Monster and Morgawr,
"We'll take it from here." Huitzilopochtli remarked, and the Mane Six met the Hindu god Vishnu, the Buddha god Bishamonten, the Aztec god Huitzilopochtli, and the Mesopotamian god Pazuzu, he also introduced them to the incubi and succubi,
"What are those nine up there called?" Pinkie Pie asked as she pointed to them,
"I think they were called Lovecraftian gods or something, it was a strange label." Volvox stated, and the Mane Six were introduced to Azathoth, Cxaxukluth, Daoloth, Ghroth, Nyarlathotep, Shub-Niggurath, Tulzscha, Yibb-Tstll, and Yog-Sothoth,
"Okay, I think that's everybody." Twilight Sparkle stated,
"Yup, that's everycreature." Pinkie Pie answered,
"Thank you all for your time, we'll take our leave now." Twilight Sparkle spoke, and the Mane Six and Spike went into the hot air balloon and left.
Princess Celestia and Princess Luna watched the new land from Canterlot's castle and the Mane Six and Spike came in,
"Princess Celestia, the new people seem mostly friendly and harmless, but they do look powerful." Twilight Sparkle reported,
"I noticed, it'd be best if we don't make them mad, I don't think this world will survive in a battle against them." Princess Celestia replied,
"Especially those big creatures, those nine beings in the sky look especially dangerous." Princess Luna added,
"One thing that made me uncomfortable is the many graves behind 'em there." Applejack said,
"I noticed that, too, I can't help but get a bad feeling about it." Twilight Sparkle added,
"Let's let time pass and see if they open up to us, maybe they will explain to us one day." Princess Celestia suggested,
"Well, I hope they hadn't done anything bad before they came here." Rainbow Dash remarked,
"We'll just have to wait and see if they stay here that long, but for now, let them get comfortable, we'll welcome them here and provide help if they need it." Princess Luna responded,
"Head on home, it's almost night time, we'll keep an eye on them for now." Princess Celestia said, and they left. Night time came and Princess Luna entered the dream realm, she saw the foals dream in awe about Phoenix, Volvox's Griffon, Volvox's Hippogriff, the Pixiu, Owlman, Thunderbird, the angels, fairies, centaurs, satyrs, sirens, nymphs, elves, kitsunes, tanukis, merfolk, and swan maidens while having nightmares about Typhon, Volvox's Cerberus, Orthrus, Volvox's Hydra, Volvox's Chimera, Volvox's Minotaur, Nemean Lion, Erymanthian Boar, Catoblepas, the Laestrygonians, Sleipnir, the Kraken, the Gashadokuro, the Bake-kujira, Hone-Onna, Ittan-momen, Jorōgumo, Wanyūdō, Nue, the Ōmukade, Shuten-Dōji, Fujin, Raijin, Yamata-no-Orochi, the Lambton Worm, the Nuckelavee, the Hound of Baskervilles, Boogeyman, the Kelpie, the Headless Horseman, Dullahan, Tarasque, the Aswang, the Manananggal, the Penanggalan, the Azhi Dahaka, Volvox's Manticore, the Mongolian Death Worm, the Thetis Lake Monster, Volvox's Yeti, Volvox's Bunyip, Piasa, Popobawa, Grootslang, Azathoth, Cxaxukluth, Daoloth, Ghroth, Nyarlathotep, Shub-Niggurath, Tulzscha, Yibb-Tstll, Yog-Sothoth, the Jersey Devil, the Dover Demon, the Flatwoods Monster, Goatman, the Chupacabra, the demons, skeletons, ghosts, giants, were-beasts, cyclopes, trolls, draugr, mummies, yuki-onnas, onis, umi-bōzus, kechibis, namahages, ningyos, nure-onnas, ōkubis, onikumas, tsuchigumos, ogres, Sluagh, goblins, zombies, ekeks, wakwaks, ghouls, alps, yowies, wendigoes, skinwalkers, mngwas, nandi bears, and orcs. Princess Luna zapped them away and then saw the onikumas in other nightmares and she zapped them away, she noticed the creatures who had weapons, claws, and sharp teeth were the most common in the foals' nightmares and she spent all night getting rid of them.
The next morning came and the world's natives noticed the new creatures all standing together with Volvox in front of them and the many graves behind him,
"As you all know, today is the one year anniversary since the human species of our world went extinct, some of you monsters may not know it, but our world had a mass extinction centuries before you all came into existence, only a few of us survived it, no doubt the humans would've gone extinct at that time. The humans may have been the weakest species of us all, but they were the smartest and most creative, if they didn't go extinct last year, we could've had space travel, and there's also the fact that they have worshiped and revered us since they first came into existence and built those shrines and temples around us that we preserve in their memory, it is still unknown who killed them, it was a shocking loss to us all, wasted potential, too, they were also the youngest and newest species under my rule, I was sad to see them go like you guys, so from now on, I will have this day marked as a national day of paying respects, may these humans rest in peace." Volvox spoke, and everybody went on with their days.
The world's natives murmured while the watched the creatures clean the abandoned buildings of worship and they made offerings, they then paid their respects to the graves while the world's natives came and counted the gravestones,
"Wow, the number of humans were in the billions." Starlight Glimmer commented,
"These are mass graves, there's hundreds to thousands of humans buried in each one." Tom explained,
"So, um, what happened?" Silverstream questioned,
"We don't know, everything was peaceful and the humans just suddenly dropped dead with no warning." Typhon responded,
"Not even us who can see into the past, present, and future could figure out what happened." Gremory added,
"You guys don't have any idea what happened?" Rainbow Dash inquired,
"As of now, we think some life form beyond the sky and in space released some kind of invisible and odorless gas that has been made specifically to kill humans, the Outer Gods already looked but found nothing." Odin explained,
"Is there any evidence of that?" Twilight Sparkle questioned, the vampires went into a lab and brought out a microscope and a petri dish. The world's natives looked at them with confusion while Twilight Sparkle examined the petri dish through the microscope,
"What the?" Twilight Sparkle exclaimed while she saw the microscopic insectoid creatures moving around with some kind of transparent fume around them,
"There's these really tiny bugs moving around and I see some kind of toxic fume around them, I've never seen any microscopic creature like this before." Twilight Sparkle reported,
"See, there you go, some of us already examined their genetic structure with the equipment the humans left behind, we already confirmed they were created in a lab and are extraterrestrial in nature." Fujin responded,
"Um... extraterrestrial?" Sandbar questioned,
"From where we're from, there is life beyond the sky, if you go high enough, you enter a place called space, it is black and filled with stars, there are big areas called planets there, too, you can land on some of them and they have life on them." Cxaxukluth explained,
"Life beyond the sky, you say? Now you've piqued my interest." Twilight Sparkle said,
"Maybe we can find something in it with our magic." Princess Cadance suggested,
"We already did that, we found nothing, these mini bugs seem to have to been created solely with science." Raijin responded,
"Well, maybe your magic is different from ours, and you should let us examine it to see if we find anything." Twilight Sparkle suggested,
"Well, Volvox?" Tom asked,
"Let's give it a go, if they find anything, it might be helpful." Volvox replied,
"Thank you, I'll go ahead and start examining now." Twilight Sparkle responded, and she teleported the petri dish to her castle and then teleported there.
Twilight Sparkle wandered around her castle while getting her equipment and books with her magic and began examining the microscopic bugs. She looked at their bodies closely and noticed there were hexagonal shaped structures on their bodies with the fumes coming out of the spaces between them, she removed them with her telekinesis and saw soft and shiny bodies and she exclaimed when the fumes poured out much faster. She looked on with her jaw dropped but realized she felt fine and the fumes did not seem to have any affect on her, she continued examining the bugs and noticed they were also moving faster,
"What is this?" Twilight Sparkle asked as she watched them. She examined the bugs farther but continued to find nothing,
"Hmm, I'll need to see what they do to a human body." Twilight Sparkle commented, and she teleported.
Volvox's subjects showed the world's natives the things the humans invented and they looked on in awe and fascination, Twilight Sparkle appeared and everybody looked at her,
"I need a human body to test on." Twilight Sparkle stated,
"We already got recordings of those bugs' effects on humans." Dommiel responded,
"Oh, can I see it?" Twilight Sparkle requested, and the fairies flew into a lab to get a TV out and put a video tape in a VCR. A recording played with angels acting as scientists and they applied the microscopic bugs on a dead human and then one angel picked up the camera and put it on a microscope. They watched the fumes age the human's skin rapidly and the angel moved the camera and saw monitors and machines showing the human's insides aging,
"Okay, so um... what's going on?" Twilight Sparkle questioned,
"Those fumes passed by them age the human body at an extremely fast rate and cause their body functions to shut down due to old age, that was how we figured out something was wrong." Volvox explained,
"I removed their outer shells and their fumes came out even more." Twilight Sparkle stated,
"We discovered that ourselves a long time ago, there seems to be a gland in their body emitting toxic gas not native to our world." Pazuzu replied,
"Y'all know where it's from?" Applejack inquired,
"It was created artificially, but when the Outer Gods compared its structure to other toxic gases on other planets, it was discovered to be an chemically engineered gas from a gaseous planet that is filled with toxic fumes and cannot be landed on, one thing we do know is whichever alien species made these is a highly advanced one." a succubus responded,
"Have you all tried to check what they are with alchemy?" Mage Meadowbrook asked,
"What would that do?" Volvox questioned,
"Well, I don't know about you guys, but in this world, we can use magic and alchemy to separate creatures and objects apart into the ingredients that made them." Mage Meadowbrook explained,
"I'm not sure if this will work, but let's give it a try." Volvox stated, and Twilight Sparkle brought the microscope and petri dish with her magic.
Mage Meadowbrook and Zecora began experimenting with the bugs and the unicorns cast magic when they ordered it, they began dividing the bugs into different objects and the new creatures watched with surprise. The alchemists divided the bugs into regular bugs and a colorless and odorless gas that Sunburst held in place with his magic,
"Wow, that was actually much faster than reverse genetic engineering." a male troll commented,
"Do you guys recognize this bug?" Somnambula asked, the Outer Gods leaned down and examined them while the world's natives became uncomfortable seeing them up close,
"Nope, it seems these bugs have been genetically engineered, too." Nyarlathotep answered,
"Wait, before we jump to conclusions, we must examine them to see if they're mutated through chemicals or radiation as well." Yibb-Tstll reminded, Volvox used his telekinesis to get various types of radiation detectors out of the lab and put them near the bugs, they did not go off,
"Nope, no radiation in them." Volvox reported,
"I'm not seeing any abnormal mutations either." Dommiel added, Volvox used his telekinesis to get more equipment out of the lab and used scanners on the bugs. Genetic structures appeared on screens and the were-beasts looked at them and pointed out mutated genes,
"How do you guys know how to use those?" Sandbar asked,
"What?" a male werewolf commented,
"How do you all know how to operate all of that stuff?" Sandbar questioned,
"The humans taught us how before they went extinct." a female were-panther explained,
"Oh, no wonder why." Sandbar said,
"So they are mutated, seems to be chemicals deliberately injected into them, too." a male elf commented,
"Any signs of viruses?" a female fairy asked,
"I'm not seeing any." a male orc answered,
"While I understand you are looking at this with interest, I wish to get this done quick since my time to work in the day is near its limit." Zecora remarked,
"What a unique way you have of speaking." Tom replied,
"My kind speaks like this all the time, as we are well versed in the way of rhymes." Zecora explained,
"Well, come on, let's continue." Volvox stated, and they did. The alchemists and unicorns used their magic to separate the bugs and gas and they managed to remove the mutating chemicals from them and the Outer Gods looked at them,
"Okay, now they seem to be back to normal, we know what planet these bugs are from, we're going to have to pay the species native to their planet a visit when we get back home." Tulzscha said,
"Hold on, y'all don't sound like y'all are gonna try to make amends or anythin'." Applejack remarked,
"The species has made one species on our planet extinct, it is only fitting they get met with the same fate." Zeus responded,
"But what if it's just a small group of people and not the entire kind?" Princess Luna inquired,
"Very unlikely, the species that control the planet those bugs are from are famous for hating humans, they're a warlike species, too." Yog-Sothoth answered,
"So? No talking things out and offering friendship?" Pinkie Pie asked,
"They are not the types to be negotiated and persuaded with, they rather attack and kill on sight." Azathoth explained,
"Oh, wow, talk about unpleasant." Twilight Sparkle commented,
"Let us head on home, it's getting late." Princess Celestia said, and everybody went home and rested.
The next day came and the world's natives noticed Volvox's subjects cleaning and preserving the ziggurats, synagogues, mosques, candis, stupas, wats, shrines. and temples, they worked slowly and cleaned very carefully while Volvox used his telekinesis to clean the roofs on the tall structures while the creatures that could float and fly went up and cleaned them. Everybody cleaned carefully while the world's natives came closer and watched, they finished after a while and Volvox's creatures and the gods, angels, and demons put offerings in them,
"What people doing?" Yona inquired,
"Preserving memories, the humans built these to pray to us and worship us when they were still a new species and didn't learn about science yet." Gabriel explained,
"I gotta say, they look old." Twilight Sparkle said,
"They are, most of them are thousands of years old." Belphegor replied,
"I figured, some of us in this world are over a thousand years old, too." Dragon Lord Torch commented,
"Really?" a succubus asked,
"Indeed, me and my sister here are over a thousand years old, so is our mentor there." Princess Luna responded while pointing to Princess Celestia and Star Swirl the Bearded,
"My companions from the past are over a thousand years old, too." Star Swirl the Bearded added,
"Wow, most of us live several decades before dying." a male troll remarked,
"It's the same with most of us, too." Sunburst replied, Volvox and his subjects continued cleaning the old architecture and soon finished, they then put offerings on the pedestals in front of statues while the world's natives watched, Volvox's subjects finished and then went to the human graves and paid their respects to them, they finished and got on with their days. Everybody watched Volvox's subjects in either physical prowess and abilities, magic, psychic powers, or contacting and controlling the souls of the dead while the incubi and succubi worked on how their voices sound and what words to use to charm people,
"This is what you all do in your day to day lives?" Ocellus asked,
"You got a problem?" Uriel questioned,
"It's... just something we don't see here, we spend our days forming friendships and bonds and trying to atone for mistakes and be forgiven, we don't train for combat." Sandbar explained,
"Well, the world we're from is dangerous." Raphael stated,
"You all never thought about talking things out and trying to forgive and make friends?" Silverstream inquired,
"There are some species we have encountered that cannot be reasoned with." a male were-shark responded, everybody watched Volvox's subjects train for combat and then began making more weapons and armor and fortifying their homes,
"Yona guess people have little time to decorate." Yona deduced,
"I'd understand, us dragons were focused on being warriors and militaristic hundreds of years ago." Smolder responded,
"What stopped you guys?" Tom asked,
"Things got more peaceful as time passed and those friendship and forgiving ponies became the rulers of the world." Smolder explained,
"My country never really developed because we're busy fighting and arguing with one another." Gallus said,
"Your country would've been a target for conquering back in ancient times when we were all warlike." Lucifer stated,
"Yeah, no thanks." Gallus remarked,
"Your species having infighting is not new to us either, every species including our own had infighting at some point, too, even the humans did, they had a lot." Leviathan stated,
"How come?" Ocellus asked,
"The humans were always divided and fighting, they were never truly united as one." Mammon responded,
"Wow." Silverstream remarked,
"Come on, guys, they look busy, let's let them train." Sandbar spoke, and they left.
The day went on peacefully while some of the world's natives went over to look at the ancient places of worship and architecture,
"No pictures." a male ghoul stated, the creatures exclaimed with confusion,
"The camera flashes will damage the buildings and relics inside." Tom explained,
"Oh." the world's natives said, and they went inside to look at the statues and other pieces of art. They admired the things the humans have created and looked on in awe at the statues, they also found scrolls and saw them written in various languages that they did not understand,
"Hey, be careful with those, those are centuries old and fragile, too." Ittan-momen warned, and the unicorns held them up with their telekinesis and moved them slowly. They looked on in surprise at seeing the centuries old writings and art in some of them, they all eventually found a book they could understand and read,
"Wow, this is a big book." Autumn Blaze remarked,
"Be careful with that, that was a sacred book to the humans." Selaphiel stated, the world's natives looked and saw the book was called Bible, they took turns reading it while Volvox's subjects continued with their days like normal. The sun began to set and the vampires began to slightly transform, they grew fangs and claws while their hairs changed to fur, Princess Celestia noticed and Princess Luna set the sun completely and raised the moon, the vampires changed to were-bat-like creatures while the were-beasts transformed into various forms, the zombies and ghosts also became more active and got power and strength boosts. Princess Celestia watched with great interest while the were-bat vampires flew around and the werewolves howled, the vampires used dark magic while the werewolves practiced their hunting skills on monsters that Shub-Niggurath created, the wakwaks tricked them by sounding louder the farther away they were and quieter the closer they were, they destroyed the monsters and the creatures ate them, everybody rested for the day and Princess Celestia went to sleep.
Princess Luna was in the dream realm and saw the foals dreaming about the monsters they saw in the scrolls and images while also being worshiped in the structures the humans built, she smiled while zapping away the scary looking creatures and Outer Gods out of the foals' dreams, she finished and the foals dreamed peacefully while being worshiped by others.
The next day came and a different group of people cleaned the places of worship left behind by the humans, they then all went over to pay their respects to the humans and left flowers on the graves, left guns, medals, and flags on the gravestones, or poured alcohol onto some of the gravestones, they then went back to using the technology to examine the microscopic bugs while Hades, Osiris, Anubis, and the Pixiu called the spirits of the dead forward. Various creatures came forward but there were no humans,
"Still no humans?" Thor asked,
"No, still can't find any, maybe their ghosts have been destroyed after all." Anubis responded,
"I hope not, if so, then that means they're gone-gone." Dommiel said,
"We've been trying for over a year now and still nothing, their souls may have been destroyed after all, I don't know what we can do to try to bring them back if that turns out to be the case." Tom added,
"If only the Count of Saint Germain was still here, we could use his time traveling powers now." Volvox remarked,
"Still, I wonder how he didn't foresee his own species' extinction." Zeus stated,
"Maybe the extraterrestrials had something to make them immune to his powers." Persephone deduced,
"It's possible, me and the others with future seeing powers didn't see them either." Vassago replied,
"Didn't the humans ever build a time traveling device?" a female troll asked,
"I don't think it was ever completed." the Penanggalan answered,
"It wasn't, the humans never figured out how to warp time and space together and make the wormholes go into the past or future, fast traveling and going to other realms was all they could achieve." Amphitrite explained,
"Maybe we can help." Starlight Glimmer said as she and Doctor Whooves walked to them together,
"You guys have time travel?" Poseidon asked,
"More than that, I can alter time and history, too." Starlight Glimmer answered,
"I have machines and devices in my home that can be used for time travel as well, I can use them or Starlight Glimmer here can use her magic to go back in time." Doctor Whooves added,
"Do they work?" Hades questioned,
"Not completely, but maybe we can combine them and magic together." Doctor Whooves suggested, the others agreed and he went to go get them.
The world's natives watched while the humanoid creatures under Volvox's rule and Doctor Whooves activated wormhole opening machines and they made a portal to their realm, Starlight Glimmer then cast a spell to look into the Earth's past, everybody saw the world's history pass by and the many now extinct animals, she kept going until the Earth became frozen over,
"What the? The humans started appearing around here, where are they?" Tom questioned, Starlight Glimmer continued fast forwarding time but there was not a single human in sight. She looked through history and saw all of the structures built now were now being built by an unknown species that had an insectoid creature as its emblem on their spaceships, every thing was identical and functioned exactly like the things the humans built, Starlight Glimmer used her magic and began looking into alternate histories but saw no humans,
"What? Are the humans completely wiped out?" a female ekek exclaimed, Starlight Glimmer could not find a single human and the devices began to overheat and everybody turned them off,
"Great wickering stallions! It seems the humans really are wiped out of existence!" Doctor Whooves hollered, Twilight Sparkle's jaw dropped and she quickly teleported to her castle and wrote a note to Sunset Shimmer and sent it to her. She teleported back while Starlight Glimmer kept looking into alternate histories and tried to change the realm's history with her magic but the humans never came back,
"It's no use, I can't bring them back." Starlight Glimmer said, the smaller creatures looked on with disbelief while she kept trying to make an alternate historic event,
"So, they're gone for good?" the Aswang questioned,
"It looks like they are." Starlight Glimmer responded,
"Hold on, everyone, I just sent a note to another pony named Sunset Shimmer, she's living in another world with humans in it, too, I'm hoping she's okay and they're not extinct either." Twilight Sparkle announced,
"Another realm with humans? The Maker never mentioned anything about that." Volvox responded,
"The Maker?" Twilight Sparkle asked,
"It is the being that created all of us, all of the planets and creatures here were created by it." Michael explained,
"This Maker sounds fake to me." Twilight Sparkle responded,
"The Maker's real." Volvox reassured,
"Well, if this Maker is real, then why hasn't it recreated the humans?" Twilight Sparkle inquired,
"We know the species that made the humans extinct is still around, so maybe The Maker is going to erase them from existence and then bring the humans back." Tom deduced,
"Well, whatever the reason, hope it contacts us soon, I'd like a word with it, too." Twilight Sparkle responded, and she walked back,
"Sorry, everyone, but it looks like the humans are gone for good, no matter how I shape and change your realm's history, all we can do now is wait for Sunset Shimmer to contact us and let us know if her world's humans are still around or not." Starlight Glimmer said, and she left. Volvox and his subjects and looked at the gravestones and paid their respects while everybody else watched while continuing with their days.
Twilight Sparkle waited in her castle while walking back and forth in front of the magic mirror and Sunset Shimmer came a few hours later,
"Twilight!" Sunset Shimmer chirped and while reeled up on her hind legs, she almost fell over but stood on all fours and she and Twilight Sparkle hugged each other,
"Come on, Sunset, the new creatures are outside." Twilight Sparkle stated, and they teleported.
Volvox's subjects rested and Twilight Sparkle appeared with Sunset Shimmer,
"Alright, everyone, this is Sunset Shimmer, she's from this world but living in a world full of humans." Twilight Sparkle announced,
"Hi, everyone, Twilight wrote to me about you guys' situation, and no, the humans in my world are not extinct." Sunset Shimmer stated,
"Hmm, another world with humans, maybe there's more realms The Maker has no control over." Volvox deduced,
"Here, I'll show you all how my world's human's are." Sunset Shimmer stated, and she cast a spell and made a screen appear with her horn. Volvox's subjects saw images of the humans in Sunset Shimmer's world and their attentions were caught instantly,
"Wow, what a variety of skin and hair colors." Dommiel remarked,
"You guys' humans weren't different colors." Sunset Shimmer asked,
"No, they were, but just pale skin, peach colored skin, a slightly dark brownish skin, and black skin, same with hair, most were either white, gray, black, brown, red, or blonde colors, they didn't have the many different skin and hair colors of your world's humans." Gabriel explained,
"Oh." Sunset Shimmer said, and she showed them more, Volvox's subjects noticed the humans wore somewhat similar clothing to their world's humans, they also saw the humans were constantly being entertained and using electronics,
"I notice you all watching carefully, something catch your minds?" Sunset Shimmer questioned,
"Your world's humans sure does use a lot of electronics and play a lot of games and music." Pazuzu remarked,
"Yours didn't?" Sunset Shimmer questioned,
"They did, but not as much, our humans were warriors at heart, a lot of them spent their times fighting and training to get stronger." Beelzebub replied,
"Oh, we have gym and sports for that." Sunset Shimmer said,
"Ours fought in real life or death situations." Belphegor stated,
"Yeah, no thanks." Sunset Shimmer remarked, and she finished showing them the images,
"Well, what do you guys think?" Sunset Shimmer inquired,
"Your humans seem to be very different from our own, behavior and appearance wise, they would likely act like a completely different species if handed to us, so they would not be suitable replacements." Volvox answered,
"Oh, well, I don't think they would want to leave their home either, that's all I have, I'll be going back to Equestria now." Sunset Shimmer stated, and she and Twilight Spoarkle teleported.
Princess Celestia and Princess Luna watched the new creatures from a balcony and noticed them apologizing to the graves and began cleaning them, all of them gathered together while the ghouls got a projector and began playing recordings of the humans studying and learning about medicine. The picture changed to the humans healing the sick and injured creatures with their new medicines and performed surgury on some of them, the sisters' eyes' widened a little. The picture changed to creatures trying to heal their own kind with magic and alchemy but nothing worked, the humans used medicines and surgery to heal them and then taught the other creatures, they fused their medical advancements and healing magic together and made breakthrough medicines, they then added alchemy and chemistry into them and made breakthrough discoveries. The picture changed to humans taking in orphaned creatures of other species' and taking care of them in their homes, they also fed them and treated the creatures like it was one of their own children and siblings, the humans also let them visit places and meet their own kind and other creatures.
Princess Celestia and Princess Luna watched the pictures change to the humans training and exercising while also using many different types of weapons, their eyes' widened when they saw images of tanks and artillery, the humans fired their weapons and caused massive destruction with them. The picture changed to the humans fighting one another and causing lots of destruction while trying to conquer one another, their weapons and tactics of warfare caused destruction in non-human civilizations as well, the humans fought the other creatures at times but were focused on destroying themselves in most recordings. They also saw humans having police organizations with some of them trying to police the world, most of the humans wanted to enforce laws to keep the world at peace while several of them were violent and using the law as a means to attack other creatures, they were destroyed quickly by the angels and demons while the good humans tried to enforce laws to keep the world at peace and help others. Images of the humans training for combat throughout history played and they had many different fighting styles and weapons, they used them on the non-human creatures and it worked on a few of them while most of the creatures were able to counter them or had no effect on them.
Princess Celestia and Princess Luna kept watching and saw nothing of interest until the recording showed the humans making art and building the architects in the land now, they watched with awe and surprise at seeing the humans have built the architectures by hand and using simple machines but noticed some of the human civilizations also had slaves. The humans got exhausted and Volvox used his telekinesis to help the humans at times, the places of worship took years to build all over the world and more and more were added as centuries passed, the humans prayed, worshiped, and made offerings to the other creatures, their attentions got caught when they saw some of the native animals were revered by them as well. Princess Celestia and Princess Luna watched with shock when they saw some of the humans offered sacrifices to the gods appease them and they took them, they also performed rituals and black magic and spells that involved sacrificing someone, their eyes' widened and wings unfolded. The recording finished and everybody put it away, Volvox looked up at the sky and had sorrowful expressions on his three faces, most of his subjects went to go sleep while the world's natives also went home and slept.
A few uneventful days passed and the Mane Six came to the land with Spike holding a bunch of papers and various tools,
"What is this?" Rōjinbi asked,
"I don't think you all noticed, but we are a land of friendship and forgiveness, that recording we saw a few days ago made us realize that you all are rather violent and seem to have a thirst for violence and war, that is not how we do things in this world, until you all go back to your world, you will adapt to our ways." Twilight Sparkle explained,
"Um... you do realize we're mostly peaceful now, right?" Satan asked,
"Mostly isn't enough, our world's magic is powered by love and friendship, things like revenge and war will weaken our world's magic." Twilight Sparkle answered,
"Do they have any serious consequences?" Volvox questioned,
"Yes, they do, if we're divided and fight, it will summon these creatures called windigos, they are evil spirits that feed off of hatred and fighting, they will put the world into an eternal winter and freeze us with their blizzards." Twilight Sparkle revealed,
"I would like to see proof of that claim." Tom said, Volvox's subjects agreed,
"Sure, the ponies over a thousand years old can show you, I'll go get them." Twilight Sparkle stated, and she teleported, she reappeared with Princess Celestia, Princess Luna, and Star Swirl the Bearded, they cast projections of historic events of their country and they saw the unicorns, Pegasi, and earth ponies fighting while Discord triggered some of the later ones, the windigos came and began freezing Equestria,
"They don't look too strong." Typhon remarked,
"They're very powerful, only creatures that can survive in their blizzard ridden world are the yaks." Twilight Sparkle responded,
"Hello." the yuki-onnas said while ice and snow surrounded them,
"Plus, several of us are gods, we can destroy them easily." Azathoth added,
"Should we go along with their friendship lessons, Volvox?" Dommiel asked,
"Well, as powerful as we are if we attack together, we and the humans have always said that when we're in a foreign environment, we have to adapt to the cultures and customs of that area, so let's go along for now and try to avoid causing any unnecessary drama or violence." Volvox responded,
"Thank you, we'd like to keep things peaceful, too, so my five friends here will start teaching you all our ways and hope we get along." Twilight Sparkle stated, and Rainbow Dash, Fluttershy, Pinkie Pie, Rarity, and Applejack stepped forward.
The Mane Six taught Volvox's subjects their elements and all of them became confused,
"Um, this is basic stuff for kids." a male orc commented,
"I mean, most of our students are youngins." Applejack responded,
"Friendship? Loyalty? I find those easier to learn from experience than being told by someone or read out of a book." Volvox remarked,
"No worries, I got assignments to teach them loyalty." Rainbow Dash assured, and everybody watched. Fluttershy showed Volvox's subjects animals native to Equestria backed away from Volvox's subjects,
"It's okay, some of them are scary looking, but they're actually really nice and friendly people." Fluttershy said, her pets came out from behind her and looked around, the demons, zombies, were-beasts, cyclopes, Laestrygonians, trolls, onis, namahages, nure-onnas, onikumas, ekeks, wakwaks, ogres, goblins, yowies, wendigoes, Volvox's pukwudgies, mngwas, nandi bears, skunk apes, Volvox's Cerberus, Orthrus, Volvox's Hydra, Volvox's Chimera, Volvox's Minotaur, Volvox's Sphinx, the Nemean Lion, the Erymanthian Boar, Volvox's griffon, Volvox's hippogriff, the Colchian Dragon, Ladon, the Caucasian Eagle, Shuten-dōji, the Gashadokuro, Yamata-no-Orochi, the Ushi-oni, Onihitokuchi, the Aswang, Volvox's Manticore, Azhi Dahaka, the Thetis Lake Monster, Volvox's Yeti, Volvox's Bunyip, Piasa, Kongamato, Grootslang, the Jersey Devil, and the Chupacabra all snickered while smiling and showing their teeth. Fluttershy's pets quickly backed away and hid behind her,
"That wasn't very nice of you all, they are very welcoming cretures who were looking forward to meeting you all." Fluttershy reprimanded, her pets peeked out from behind her and Volvox's creatures walked closer to them and they went behind Fluttershy. Fluttershy stared at them but it had no effect on any of Volvox's creatures,
"*gasp*! It... didn't... work." Fluttershy quivered,
"You really thought that would scare us?" Typhon questioned,
"It scares my pets and wild animals into immediate obedience." Fluttershy responded,
"Well, my wild animal subjects here have years of experience in hunting, and some of them are sentient like you guys, a few of them are also Typhon's children, of course staring sharply at them isn't going to intimidate them." Volvox said,
"Also look at how small you are when compared to some of us, some of us can eat you in one gulp." Dommiel added, Fluttershy quivered,
"And my subjects, what did I say about not causing any unnececessary drama or conflicts?" Volvox reprimanded, the creatures stopped showing their teeth and behaved,
"Thank you, I'll go ahead and continue, I think you all will be interested in our world's animals." Fluttershy stated, and she continued. She introduced Iron Will to them alongside their world's Cerberus, an orthros, Hydra, Chimera, Sphinx, a cockatrice, a manticore, a yeti, a roc, a phoenix, jackalopes, pukwudgies, and their world's Bunyip,
"They have the same name as us." Volvox's Sphinx commented,
"Yes, as you all can see, we have our world's versions of you guys, too, some are similar while some are completely different." Fluttershy responded, Equestria's pukwudgies and Volvox's pukwudgies glared and growled at one another, Equestria's pukwudgies shot their quills at them while Volvox's pukwudgies cast fire magic. Twiilght Sparkle and Volvox separated their pukwudgies from one another and they continued growling at one another,
"Sorry about that, but our world's pukwudgies are aggressive and territorial." Twilight Sparkle explained,
"Ours are basically the same." Volvox replied, his pukwudgies aimed bows and fired poisonous arrows and Volvox held them with his telekinesis, they heard fighting in the air and saw Equestria's roc and Volvox's Roc fighting one another, Rarity separated them with her telekinesis, they noticed the world's phoenix and Volvox's Phoenix were getting along and making art in the sky with their fire, Equestria's jackalope was also accepted by Volvox's jackalopes,
"Well, look at that, looks like some of 'em managed to spark a friendship already." Applejack said, the classes resumed and Volvox's subjects learned nothing. Rainbow Dash tried to have the world's natives and Volvox's subjects work together, she tried to have them build a shack first and the dwarfs built one easily, she tried to have them row a boat next and Ikuchi sunk it with its long body, everybody struggled to swim and the changelings, seaponies, mermen, mermaids, ningyos, and the Nuckelavee carried everyone to the surface and Bigfoot and the Thetis Lake Monster pulled them out,
"I guess that counts as teamwork in a way." Rainbow Dash remarked, the students waited for their next assignment while she tried to come up with something. Applejack taught about honesty and apples while Volvox's subjects were bored,
"Sorry, y'all, but Ah'm really tryin' mah best here." Applejack said,
"It's not that, it's just the way you're teaching honesty is almost like you're trying to teach a four year old, and there's too many different types of apples for us to memorize them all." a female fairy explained,
"Oh, Ah see y'all's points, Ah couldn't memorize all of mah world's apples at first either." Applejack stated,
"Out of curiosity, you're the most down-to-earth member of your group, why aren't you the leader for?" Persephone inquired,
"Well, first of all, Ah ain't royalty like how Twilight is, and Ah'm just an earth pony, Ah ain't an alicorn like her either, so in terms of magic and raw strength, she's got me beat." Applejack answered,
"You don't seem to have wings either." Poseidon observed,
"That too, Ah can't fly either." Applejack replied,
"You have anything else you can teach us?" a succubus asked,
"Well." Applejack responded, and she began to teach them how to grow apples, how to harvest, and how to cook, bake, and make apple dishes. Rarity taught Volvox's subjects how to make clothes and how to share, the vampires became very interested in her class and began making fancy aristocratic clothes,
"Oh, bravo, you all have such exquisite tastes in fashion, though I think you all should use more colors than mostly black." Rarity said, the vampires decided to replace the black clothes with white and red,
"Well, wouldn't be my first choice, but I must admit the colors do blend rather nicely." Rarity commented, she looked at the other creatures and noticed the incubi and succubi making inappropriate clothing, she screamed and everybody looked at her,
"What are these provactive outfits?! These are the opposite of fashionable! This is the worst possible thing! The! Worst! Possible! Thing!" Rarity ranted while the other creatures just looked at her and crickets chirped, the incubi and succubi looked at one another in confusion,
"You all don't take fashion very seriously, do you?" Rarity asked,
"Well, us vampires and the succubi and incubi do, but as for the others, not really, we don't really have the time to think about fashion when we spend a lot of our time either fighting or working in dangrous environments." a male vampire explained,
"As for us, we're more focused on elegance, we wish to look nice when using swords and bows, our architecture being pristine and pleasing to the eyes, we do have fashion, but we prioritize other forms of art over it." a female elf stated,
"Elegance, you say? I might be able to make something." Rarity said, and she tried to teach them about generosity. Pinkie Pie was trying to make Volvox's creatures laugh with jokes and her party cannon, they all just watched her and only went along whenever she needed a partner,
"Why is nobody laughing?!" Pinkie Pie fumed,
"Your humor seems more suited for human toddlers." a male teenage ghoul answered,
"Human toddlers?" Pinkie Pie asked,
"Yeah, different species' here have different senses of humor from one another, yours would've been more suited for the now extinct humans." a male were-bear child responded,
"Well, can you at least partake in the welcoming party I prepared for you all?" Pinkie Pie requested,
"Might as well." Volvox answered, and her party cannon went off, she gave out confectioneries to the creatures and the vampires, elves, incubi, and succubi handled them fine while the others gagged and vomited,
"*gasp* Did I add something bad?!" Pinkie Pie exclaimed,
"Most of my subjects cannot digest sugar." Volvox responded,
"Oh, fruity dishes, it is then." Pinkie Pie said, and she walked away and came back with bags of chips while the gods noticed some kind of power within her. Volvox's subjects were able to handle the chips and salty foods fine and some of them had fruits,
"Aren't you pointy teeth creatures going to try any?" Pinkie Pie asked,
"We can only digest meat." a male oni replied, the world's natives looked at them while exclaiming,
"You guys eat meat?!" Silverstream inquired,
"Don't you?" Volvox asked,
"No, nocreature in this world eats meat, only ones that do are wild animals or those that eat fish, but as for sentient and civilized creatures, no, none of us need to consume meat to survive." Twilight Sparkle explained,
"So you all survive on plants." Tom commented,
"And gems." Spike added,
"We don't eat meat, animals are our friends, too, and eating them would be destroying our friendship." Twilight Sparkle explained,
"Okay, I'm not sure how that logic works." Michael remarked,
"How about you? Do you have anything to teach?" Beelzebub asked,
"Actually, I do, I teach my students how friendships come in all shapes, sizes, and forms." Twilight Sparkle responded,
"You teach teenagers?" Dommiel questioned,
"Yes, why?" Twilight Sparkle asked,
"Your subjects and teachings seem more suited for toddlers." a female dwarf replied,
"What do you guys teach your creatures around my students' age?" Twilight Sparkle inquired,
"Mating, how to reproduce, fight, cook, hunt, carpentry, house building, blacksmithing, medicine, anatomy, arts of all kinds if we have the time." a female fairy answered,
"Wow, that's a lot." Fluttershy remarked,
"Do you guys have conuseling?" Twilight Sparkle asked,
"What kind of counseling?" Lucifer questioned,
"You all come see me, we sit, you talk out your problems, and I give you advice and words of encouragement and comfort." Starlight Glimmer explained,
"What kind of problems?" Tom inquired,
"Relationship problems, social anxieties, friendship problems, and for the changelings, identity crisis." Starlight Glimmer answered, Volvox, his subjects, the gods, angels, demons, and fallen angels looked at her with unamused expressions,
"You guys don't sound very strong mentally." Persephone remarked,
"Don't you guys have counseling?" Starlight Glimmer questioned,
"Yes, but not for things like relationship problems or friends falling out, well, the humans did, but the rest of us had counseling for things like violence and war." Volvox responded,
"Aren't you all bothered by social stuff or personal relationship problems or failures?" Starlight Glimmer asked, Volvox and his subjects shook their heads,
"Seems we can't really reach an understandin' after all." Applejack said,
"What do you say, Volvox?" a male oni asked,
"Let's try to go along, we have to adapt to this world's ways until we go back home." Volvox replied,
"You do know we started this because of that recording you all watched of the humans and their destructive ways, right?" Twilight Sparkle reminded,
"That wasn't the point of it, it was to remember them, the humans had good traits and bad traits, some wanted to make the world a better place, some wanted to cause trouble and destruction, the species was a mixed bag, just like the rest of the species' here." Zeus replied,
"Oh, well, we can't really teach you guys anything, but if you all are still intersted in our school, it's over there in Equestria." Twilight Sparkle stated as she pointed to it and the others looked,
"Come on, everyone, let's go ahead and head back." Twilight Sparkle said, and the world's natives left the land,
"Wait a bit for now, let's see if they actually have anything worth learning." Volvox stated, the others agreed and they went on with their days.
The next day came and Volvox's subjects watched Equestria's School of Friendship, the only class that caught their interests was Fluttershy teaching about Equestria's fauna on how they behave, what they eat, how to take care of them if owned as pets, how to tame them, and which ones are dangerous, they listened to Fluttershy tell her class about the animals and they smiled. She continued teaching and showed the students the smaller animals first, she also had Apple Bloom, Scootaloo, and Sweetie Belle demonstrate how to clean and groom some of the animals while she cleaned and groomed the bigger and more dangerous animals, they then went elsewhere and Volvox's subjects watched them. Fluttershy led her students into the Everfree Forest and she began teaching the students about where the animals lived and how to behave if they encounter them, she then assigned homework to her students and they left. Volvox's subjects smiled and decided to watch her class and then looked at their provisions and saw meat was getting low, they decided to go ahead and rest for the day and relaxed until it was night time and most of the creatures slept.
A few days passed and Volvox and his subjects watched Fluttershy tend to the animals and teach students about them, the carnivores under Volvox's rule began crafting ideas on how to hunt and mostly focused on the marine animals around their land, they got the fishing poles and nets the humans made and began fishing while the merfolks and ningens swam underwater and caught some of the fish and brought it up to the surface. The carnivores ate the fish while also going through the little meat they had left while the seaponies came to the surface and looked at them with surprise. Volvox's griffon and hippogriff flew and caught fish and ate them, they continued catching more and dropped them down to the others and they ate them, the mermen and mermaids sat on the land and ate the fish they caught. The ningens continued swimming through the sea and caught as much fish as they could while avoiding the fishing hooks and nets the wendigoes, were-beasts, and onis were using, they caught several fish and threw it up onto Volvox's land and the carnivores ate, they then came up and ate the remaining fish.
Volvox's subjects caught fish pretty easily while getting hundreds of small fish with the nets, Fluttershy noticed and tears fell from her eyes at seeing them eat the fish while the other ponies and creatures gagged and some vomited. The herbivores began picking the plants on the ground and ate them while some ate nuts and berries, the world's natives observed them carefully while Twilight Sparkle took notes. Volvox then looked at how much food was left for everybody and then checked everybody's water and saw it was low, he used his telekinesis to fill the stone containers and then put them through filters the humans made to purify them and his subjects drank them. The vampires drank blood that they kept stored in their castles and the world's natives almost vomited, everybody was well fed and they all rested for the rest of the day and everybody slept.
The next day came and the Mane Six and Cutie Mark Crusaders arrived,
"Excuse me." Twilight Sparkle said, Volvox and his subjects looked at her,
"You all owe Fluttershy and the seaponies an apology for yesterday." Twilight Sparkle announced,
"For what?" Dommiel asked,
"Those fish you all caught and ate yesterday were her friends, we're lightening your punishments to apologies since you all don't understand this world's ways, if you all did, all of you would be jailed right now." Twilight Sparkle explained while Fluttershy cried,
"Were those fishes anybody's pets?" Volvox questioned,
"No, they're our friends, they're kept out of homes and cages so they can be free." Apple Bloom explained, Volvox and his subjects looked on with confusion,
"They looked like wild animals to us." Lucifer remarked,
"They still had homes, families, and civilizations." Scootaloo stated,
"We said before that some of us can only digest meat and nothing else, they will die if they consume anything else." Tom reminded,
"Don't you guys have any meat of your own?" Sweetie Belle questioned,
"It's starting to get really low, hence why we hunted." Michael explained,
"You didn't have to eat our friends." Fluttershy lamented,
"How were we supposed to know they were your friends?" Asmodeus asked, the ponies became speechless,
"See, there you go, they were just wild animals to us, and our meat supplies were getting low, if we didn't get anything, my meat eaters would die." Volvox explained,
"Ugh, your creator just had to make you all consume nothing but meat." Rarity exclaimed,
"Um, do you guys have any alternatives?" Rainbow Dash asked, Volvox and his subjects shook their heads,
"Well, no eating our friends, I'll try to make something with my magic, now apologize." Twilight Sparkle demanded, Volvox's subjects eyes' widened,
"Seriously?" a male orc asked,
"Just go along, we may not understand their ways, but this is still their home and land." Volvox stated, and they did,
"Thank you, don't do it again, you all will be arrested next time." Twilight Sparkle said,
"Is that why you all are here?" Gabriel asked,
"Nah, we noticed y'all watchin' Fluttershy, so we decided to teach y'all about our animals and pets." Applejack answered, Volvox and his subjects agreed and smiled,
"Great, let's start." Twilight Sparkle said, and they did.
Fluttershy, Apple Bloom, Scootaloo, and Sweetie Belle walked forward and showed small bugs first,
"These cutesy wootsy bugs are easy to maintain and take care of, they only have to be fed small meals and they're easy to clean." Fluttershy instructed, she stopped for a moment when she saw the carnivores smiling and bearing their teeth,
"No! Don't you dare eat my pets!" Fluttershy warned, the were-animals changed to their animal forms and her pets backed away in fear,
"Whoa, Ah sure wouldn't wanna be near 'em either." Apple Bloom stated, the skinwalkers walked forward and they changed to various animals. They walked to Fluttershy's pets and they sniffed them and got defensive,
"Wow, so Fluttershy's pets can smell them and find them." Scootaloo stated,
"It is how they determine who is a part of their family and who isn't." Fluttershy explained,
"So that's what they do, transform into animals, just like the changelings." Twilight Sparkle remarked,
"I think each one can only change to one type of animal though." Sweetie Belle replied,
"Um, is it okay if we call you guys changelings?" Pinkie Pie requested,
"Why?" a male skinwalker in a wolf form asked,
"Well, your kind's name sounds unpleasant." Scootaloo answered,
"Yeah, skinwalker is kind of scary sounding." Sweetie Belle added,
"Really? The dragons thought it sounded cool." Smolder said, the ponies looked at the Dragon Lands and Dragon Lord Torch, Princess Ember, Garble, and the other dragons nodded in approval while smiling,
"They will get confused for our world's changelings though, I think it will be best if we just call them animal shifters since the name 'skinwalker' will give our country's foals nightmares." Twilight Sparkle stated,
"I'll take it." a female skinwalker in lion form stated, and the others nodded,
"Um, you all don't have to agree if you don't like it." Twilight Sparkle commented,
"Best we go along, plus, Volvox and the gods are watching us and will probably strike us down if we sitr up any drama in this world." a male skinwalker in tiger form replied,
"Well, if you all are okay with it and wish to keep things peaceful, alright then." Twilight Sparkle stated, and Fluttershy taught more about her pets, Phoenix, Thunderbird, Volvox's Sphinx, Volvox's Roc, Piasa, Kongamato, and the Stymphalian birds flew to them and scared them,
"It's okay, everybird, they won't harm you." Fluttershy reassured and they flew to them, they greeted one another while Fluttershy noticed Harry shaking at seeing the were-bears, onikumas, and skinwalkers in bear forms surround him,
"Don't worry, Harry, they're just curious about you and won't harm you guys." Fluttershy stated, he relaxed and saw they continued watching him. Fluttershy and the Cutie Mark Crusaders taught Volvox and his subjects about the world's animals and the timberwolves caught their attentions,
"These are really dangerous animals that will attack things on sight." Fluttershy said, Volvox's pukwudgies cast fire magic on them and burned them,
"Well, Ah guess that's one way to deal with 'em." Applejack commented,
"These here are the vampire fruit bats, you turn into a vampire if they bite you." Fluttershy stated as she presented them, the Stymphalian birds looked at one another,
"Well, that's all we have, if possible, we'd like for you all to visit our countries and continue making friends and staying peaceful." Twilight Sparkle stated, and they left,
"What do you say, Volvox?" Dommiel asked,
"Let's have a vote." Volvox suggested, the others agreed and they began.
The rulers were meeting in Canterlot Castle and gathered at a table,
"I have called you all here to talk things out and whether should we welcome the newcomers into our countries or not." Princess Celestia said,
"Absolutely not, they ate our fish yesterday, they are not welcome in Seaquestria." Queen Novo stated,
"I agree with mom here, those fish they ate were some we knew since childhood." Princess Skystar added,
"What about the rest of you?" Princess Luna asked,
"I suppose they would be okay, aside from the meat eaters, the others seem fine." Shining Armor commented,
"I think we can find an alternative for them with our magic, but I think we can let all of them in, they haven't attacked us or anything, so maybe they're okay to welcome." Princess Cadance suggested,
"I think I can let them in, as long as some of those dangerous looking ones and ones made of fire don't damage the country." Princess Ember said,
"The ones made with fire can't enter Griffonstone due to our stuff being made mostly of straw." Grampa Gruff remarked,
"Same with Mount Aris, they will burn our homes if they enter." Sky Beak added,
"Kirin Grove, too, us having fire powers is what destroyed our first homes in the first place." Rain Shine spoke,
"Yak worried fire creatures, ice creatures, wind creatures, lightning creatures, and giant creatures will destroy Yakyakistan, so no enter for them." Prince Rutherford announced,
"Well, the changelings are pretty scared of them, but maybe we should try." King Thorax stated,
"Let's try, brother, maybe we can learn something about them." Pharynx said,
"I guess." King Thorax stated,
"Alright then, that was settled rather quickly, I'll go ahead and inform them." Princess Celestia said, and she flew out of Canterlot and to the new land.
Volvox and his subjects trained in combat or made art and Princess Celestia arrived and landed,
"We have just had a discussion on our countries welcoming you all, due to you all eating fish yesterday, none of you are welcome in Seaquestria, those with fire bodies and powers cannot enter Griffonstone, Yakyakistan, Mount Aris, and Kirin Grove due to their entire architectures being made of flammable materials, those made of ice, wind, and lightning or have ice, wind, or lightning powers also cannot enter Yakyakistan due to their country being all snow and blizzards and storms can destroy their homes. You all are welcome everywhere else as long as none of you cause trouble." Princess Celestia reported, Volvox and his subjects looked at the other countries and noticed how different it looked from their world,
"This world seems peaceful compared to Earth." Azathoth commented,
"Yeah, especially the main land, looks like something out of a kid's tale." Zeus added,
"From an artistic perspective, all of the bright colors and cutesy imagery is a bit overwhelming." a female vampire commented,
"From what we've seen, it seems the country is filled with super peaceful and forgiving natives while its animals are all peaceful herbivores, almost like the place was created by someone who hates violence and fighting of all kinds." a male were-badger stated,
"I wouldn't agree though, the main country also has birds of prey in it, too, so some of its animals are dangerous and hunt." Dommiel reminded,
"Even so, it doesn't change the fact that the land is mostly big on friendship, forgiveness, and being pacifists, the humans had a saying about places and times like that making weak people." Volvox said, Equestria's natives looked at them with disapproval,
"Seeing how they have magic and control nature, that might not apply to them, it seems to be the opposite for them, peaceful and good times make them stronger." Tom spoke,
"Well, lucky them, if we were like that, we'd be weak and wiped out easily." Volvox said,
"Don't forget that we can still become extinct due to powerful forces of nature, that's what wiped out our world's original animals." Beelzebub reminded, Bigfoot, the Loch Ness Monster, and Morgawr looked down,
"Well, let's remain here for now, we'll migrate when our food and resources get low." Volvox instructed,
"How much longer till the wormhole opener can be used again?" Tom questioned,
"Close to recharged, we can go home soon." a male elf answered,
"Good, we got an alien species to wipe out when we get back." Selaphiel reminded, the others nodded while the ponies looked at them with disapproval, Volvox and his subjects focused on their own land and did not visit the others and the rest of the day was peaceful and quiet.
The next day came and everything on the new land suddenly began changing, the inanimate objects changed to different inanimate objects while others flew around, the gods, angels, and demons used their powers to find the source and saw Discord flying around through the air while his body moved like a snake's, he continued causing chaos and Apep began getting stronger, Zeus threw lightning bolts at Discord and he dodged them easily, Thor then tried to send lightning strikes at him with his hammer and he dodged them, Odin managed to stab Discord's hair with his spear and pin him onto the ground,
"What kind of being is this?" Typhon asked,
"Oh, don't mind me, I'm just trying to spice things up and make this place more fun." Discord explained,
"This is your idea of fun?" a male dwarf asked,
"Why, yes, a little mischief never hurts to have." Discord replied,
"You're being more annoying than fun." Volvox remarked,
"Oh, come on now, where are your senses of humor?" Discord questioned,
"Do others in this world find you funny?" a male troll questioned,
"Of course, you all already met my dear best friend, Fluttershy, and she taught you about our animals, so I thought now would be a good time to introduce myself." Discord explained, Volvox and his subjects looked at him with bewilderment,
"You? Best friends with that yellow horse who is always quiet and gets scared easily?" Mammon inquired,
"Don't question our friendship." Discord warned, the people shrugged and Volvox moved Discord to Fluttershy's home with his telekinesis. The day went on as normal until Discord reappeared and multiplied while laughing, he caused more mischief and Azathoth and Yog-Sothoth tried erasing him from existence but Discord multiplied more and remained. Apep began warping reality to counter Discord's powers while absorbing the chaos he created,
"Ooh, a person with powers like mine, this will be fun." Discord remarked, and he began using his powers more. Discord made chocolate rain fall out of clouds made of cotton candy and changed the nearby waters to fruit punch while Apep summoned earthquakes and tidal waves while changing the fruit punch ocean to lava and made lightning come out of the skies. Discord absorbed the lightning into himself and he grew in size while his laughter echoed, he raised his arms and made chocolate pudding burst out of the ground while Apep got empowered by the chaos and made a meteor fall out of the sky and onto Discord. Discord slithered out while laughing and made all of the buildings and inanimate objects fly around while Volvox and the others who had psychic powers quickly put them down, Discord summoned book pages that flew around while Apep shot small suns out of geysers and heated up the world, Discord changed them to big ice cream scoops. He then made cakes fall from the sky and Apep used his wind powers to blow them elsewhere,
"Okay, I'll stop here, that was pretty fun." Discord stated, and he changed everything back to normal and disappeared,
"How annoying." Set remarked, everybody nodded,
"How's the wormhole opener?" Volvox asked, a female ghoul checked it,
"It's fine." the female ghoul reported,
"Any damages done to it?" Dommiel questioned,
"We're not seeing any." a male wendigo answered,
"Good, well, come on, we got some cleaning to do." Tom stated, and they began. Volvox and his subjects checked the humans' graves and made sure they were alright, Anubis made the skeletons float and everybody counted each one, they discovered every human was still present and buried them. Volvox's subjects undid the damages Discord caused and noticed Fluttershy standing by,
"I'm terribly sorry for the destruction Discord caused, while he is my friend, I can't control him, everyone else has an uneasy alliance with him." Fluttershy explained,
"It's not hard to see why, he's strong enough to be a god." Stolas remarked,
"Is everyone okay?" Fluttershy asked,
"We're fine, but he damaged much of our land." Volvox responded,
"He's the spirit of chaos, orderly and peaceful things not only bore him, but will also make him fade from existence." Fluttershy explained,
"If he's always like that, then perhaps erasing him from existence would've been for the best." Shub-Niggurath remarked,
"I heard that!" Discord hollered from far away while his voice echoed,
"Anyway, if you all migrate to Equestria and visit me, you all will have to get used to him." Fluttershy stated,
"Probably best we avoid him." Volvox replied, the others agreed,
"Well, we won't force you guys to visit us, but we would at least like to remain on good terms." Fluttershy stated,
"As long we remain at peace and don't go to war, we're fine." Volvox said,
"Good, we would like that, too." Fluttershy commented, and she flew away while Volvox and his subjects continued cleaning their land.
The next day came and Volvox and his subjects did their daily routine of paying respects to the humans, praying, cleaning, and making offerings at the places of worship, and training for combat, they began preserving their meat since it was starting to get really low, they looked at the foreign lands and saw Twilight Sparkle was trying to create a meat substitute while Sunset Shimmer told her the nutritions in them alongside their textures, she had a hard time making it and tried transforming various inanimate objects into meat. She sighed and teleported to the land with the meat. She handed them out to the carnivores and tried them, they nodded,
"This will do." a male cyclops reported,
"Oh, thank goodness, I worked for hours making this, I was about to snap if you guys didn't like it." Twilight Sparkle spoke,
"It's acceptable." a male were-shark commented,
"I'm glad, just no more eating our world's animals." Twilight Sparkle requested,
"Very well." Volvox said,
"Thank you, just keep it that way, and we'll be fine." Twilight Sparkle stated, and she flew away. The world's natives watched the new land's people and they got on with their days quietly, they heard the Mane Six giving a history lecture and they watched, they saw Star Swirl the Bearded, Flash Magnus, Mistman, Mage Meadowbrook, Somnambula, Rockhoof, Stygian, Princess Celestia, Princess Luna, and Discord with them and they stood at the statues of Queen Chrysalis, Lord Tirek, and Cozy Glow. They listened and heard the Mane Six talk about their many battles from Nightmare Moon to Queen Chrysalis, Lord Tirek, and Cozy Glow teaming up, the princesses, Pillars, and Stygian talked about their own adventures, they finished listening when the talks about their enemies and threats stopped while they realized the world was overall more peaceful than their own and they just got on with their days.
A few hours passed and everybody had a peaceful day while Sunset Shimmer went over to the land,
"Excuse me." Sunset Shimmer said, Volvox and his subjects looked at her,
"Would you all like to see the humans in my world?" Sunset Shimmer asked, everybody murmured to one another,
"Sure, a glimpse wouldn't hurt." Volvox responded,
"Um, you sure you all don't want to meet them?" Sunset Shimmer asked,
"How did you get here?" Tom questioned,
"Through a magic mirror." Sunset Shimmer responded,
"How big is it?" Lucifer asked, Sunset Shimmer conjured an image of the mirror with her magic,
"Yeah, probably not, a lot of us are too big to fit through it." Dommiel said,
"Why don't me and the other shapeshifters go and disguise ourselves as them just like when we were at war and gathering info?" Popobawa suggested,
"Actually, when you go over to that world, you automatically change to either a human or another animal." Sunset Shimmer explained,
"Oh." the creatures said,
"Let's go ahead and send our most human looking ones then, so incubi, succubi, were-beasts, and swan maidens, go ahead and go." Volvox stated, and they went to Sunset Shimmer, she teleported them to Twilight Sparkle's castle and they went into the mirror. Nyarlathotep made a reflection appear in the ocean and they watched the people who went to Sunset Shimmer's world, the incubi and succubi changed to rabbits, the swan maidens changed to swans, and the were-animals changed to whatever animal they transform into at night,
"Whoa, it's probably best I send you marine animal guys back." Sunset Shimmer said, and she pushed them back into the mirror. The others went forward and everybody looked at them,
"Don't mind them, everybody, they're just from Equestria's world and here to visit out of curiosity." Sunset Shimmer stated, and they went forward while Volvox's subjects noticed the world's humans using electronics and had earphones on,
"What do you guys think so far?" Sunset Shimmer asked,
"Very different from the humans of our world." a swan maiden answered, the others nodded in agreement,
"Well, come on, I'll show you all around campus, animals aren't allowed in the school." Sunset Shimmer said, and they followed her. The incubci, succubi, were-animals, and swan maidens saw the many school clubs and some of the students doing academic work inside the building,
"Humans in our world having a school like this was a pretty recent development when they went extinct, most humans went to school to learn how to fight in the early years." a male were-lizard spoke,
"Yeah, maybe the only things this school has that our world's humans' schools had were archery and fencing." a female were-jaguar added,
"What about sports?" Sunset Shimmer asked as she directed their attentions to Rainbow Dash playing soccer,
"Hmm, sometimes, but the most common sport the humans played was wrestling." a succubus replied,
"We don't have that at this school." Sunset Shimmer commented,
"So, is this all there is to this world?" another swan maiden asked,
"Oh, no, there's a lot more, come on, I'll show you all around." Sunset Shimmer responded, and she walked. They left the school and led them elsewhere,
"Don't mind us, everybody, I'm just showing them around and will take them home afterwards." Sunset Shimmer announced, and she took them to a nearby studio where the Daring Do movie was filmed, she also took them to stores and restaurants,
"So there is some similarites between this world's humans and our world's." another succubus remarked,
"What are they?" Sunset Shimmer asked,
"The stores and restaurants, our world's humans had them, too." another incubus answered,
"Amusement park's this way." Sunset Shimmer spoke,
"Our world's humans had those, too." a female were-sloth stated,
"Wow, come on, I'll take you guys to see." Sunset Shimmer stated, and she did, she showed them the place and then took them to the beach,
"These are the last of the close areas, last place after this is my house." Sunset Shimmer stated,
"Can we see the environment you live in?" a male were-cheetah requested,
"Sure, this way." Sunset Shimmer responded, and she led them. They arrived and saw Sunset Shimmer lived in a suburban environment,
"Hmm, it's no different from our world's humans' recent living environments." a male were-wolverine commented,
"Recent?" Sunset Shimmer asked,
"Throughout history in our world, humans mostly lived as farmers and far away from one another." a third swan maiden explained,
"Oh, I've learned from my time here that some of the humans here used to live like that, too." Sunset Shimmer stated,
"Well, according to our observations, this world's humans seem more peaceful and relaxed and look to be entertained, unlike our world's humans, who were focused on combat and warfare and almost always training." a third succubus reported,
"I think this world's humans were like that thousands of years ago, too." Sunset Shimmer stated,
"Oh." the third succubus said,
"Anywhere else for us to see?" a third incubus asked,
"Well, there is, but they're far from here and would take a long time to go to by foot." Sunset Shimmer replied, the swan maidens flew up and looked around,
"You won't see the areas from the sky." Sunset Shimmer commented, and they flew down,
"Well, anyway, that's pretty much everything to show around here." Sunset Shimmer stated,
"Sunset?" a familiar voice called out, they looked and saw the world's version of the Mane Six coming, Volvox and his subjects took notice and realized it was that world's Fluttershy who called out to her,
"I can take them to the animal shelter if you're looking for a home for them." Fluttershy suggested,
"Whoa, wait, wait, wait, wait, this isn't what it looks like, they're actually people who came to my home world recently." Sunset Shimmer responded,
"What'd ya mean from yer world?" Applejack questioned,
"Well..." Sunset Shimmer said and she explained the situation,
"Wow, so there's a lot of new creatures in that land?" Spike asked while Volvox and his subjects took notice of his dog form,
"Yeah, more than any land I ever saw in Equestria or here, these guys here will probably be leaving soon though." Sunset Shimmer stated,
"Don't mind us, we're just seeing how similar and different this world's humans are from our world's." the first swan maiden reported,
"Still, another world with humans in it, that's awesome." Rainbow Dash chirped,
"Rainbow, darling, remember what Sunset just said, they're extinct." Rarity reminded,
"They were no different from this world's, were they?" Pinkie Pie deduced,
"Actually, a bit different, this one seems more interested in having fun than surviving." a female were-hyena responded,
"Sounds like your world's humans are living in a more dangerous world than ours, I can see that easily from what I heard Sunset said and you guys." Twilight Sparkle remarked,
"Well, one thing we have noticed here is a lack of magic when compared to the humans from our world." a fourth succubus stated,
"We have magic, but it's usually just us, and we're empowered by gems, the others here are usually empowered by magical artifacts found throughout the world and they usually don't produce good results when used by the humans in this world." Sunset Shimmer explained,
"Yeah, a lot of them used magic for evil purposes and we had to destroy the artifacts." Rainbow Dash added,
"What can you guys do?" a fourth incubus asked, Twilight Sparkle used telekinesis, Rainbow Dash ran at blinding speeds, Fluttershy communicated with animals, Pinkie Pie made sweets and candies explode by throwing them, Rarity shot gemstones out of her hands, Applejack picked up objects too heavy for a human to pick up, and Sunset Shimmer touched them and saw their memories,
"Wow, so there is some magic here in this world." a male were-newt remarked,
"Yeah, but not much, we're pretty much all there is left." Twilight Sparkle stated,
"Thank you for showing us, we'll be going back now." the second swan maiden stated, and they and Sunset Shimmer went back to Equestria while their friends said bye to them, Nyarlathotep made the reflection in the ocean disappear and they waited for the others to return. They came back and went to Volvox's land,
"Did you all see what it was like over there?" Sunset Shimmer asked, Volvox and his subjects nodded,
"Living environment is a bit similar, but they seem to care more about having fun and being friends, very little magic and no spiritual powers." Volvox stated,
"Were you all happy to see humans again?" Sunset Shimmer asked,
"Well, they are different from ours, much more variety in skin and hair colors, but yes, it was nice and sad at the same time to see a species extinct in our world still thrives elsewhere." Tulzscha answered,
"Well, I'm glad, contact me in Equestria if you all wanna see them again." Sunset Shimmer stated, and she teleported back to Equestria, the rest of the day remained uneventful and peaceful.
The next day came and the wormhole opener was fully recharged,
"Okay, we can go home now." a male oni said,
"Everyone, stand by and be on guard in case something hostile comes through." Volvox ordered, and they did while the world's natives watched. A female ghoul activated the wormhole opener and set the coordinates, white electricity appeared and the land became distorted and a strange object appeared,
"Something's coming through!" Gabriel reported, and they got ready. A spaceship with the insectoid emblem of the species that wiped out the humans came through and began flying around, it shot beams everywhere that destroyed the land and structures, Volvox shot his hellfire blasts from his three mouths at it while Zeus throw thunderbolts at it and the pukwudgies shot arrows and fire at it. The flying ship shot bullets, lasers, and missiles everywhere while dumping chemical agents and firebombs out of its underside. Everybody with long-range attacks either shot or threw their weapons at it but a force field deflected everything, the angels and demons flew to it and got on it, they began stabbing their weapons through the spacecraft and took out its engines. The spaceship continued firing its weapons while telekinesis was used to make it fly again, Michael flew and cut the spaceship in half with his flaming sword.
The pieces fell and everybody saw the aliens were dark blue insectoid creatures with four arms, two legs, eight octopus-like tentacles coming out of their backs, they were hunchbacked and their heads were shaped like wolverine heads with four thick tendrils under their noses and covering their mouths. The aliens began using psychic powers and shot their brainwaves forward that destroyed the land, Thor swung his hammer to shoot lightning at them but they used magical and technological shields to block them, they aimed guns with their back tentacles and fired lasers that destroyed everything they touched, Onihitokuchi tried smashing them with his hands but they held him up and threw him over themselves. Azathoth tried erasing them from existence but the aliens mutliplied themselves with magic and continued attacking, they shot white light out of their eyes' that destroyed everything they touched while also shooting white light projectiles out of their four arms. Volvox and his subjects tried to get them but they ran and flew at blinding speeds while some swam underwater, they created natural disasters with their magic and psychic powers, Volvox his subjects eventually rounded them up and Volvox held them with his telekinesis, the giant creatures slammed their limbs down and smashed them, the aliens reappeared as ghosts and tried to attack but Hades, Anubis, and Pixiu quickly destroyed their souls.
Volvox and his subjects sighed with relief while the world's natives watched them,
"Everyone alright?" Volvox asked, they nodded,
"So that's the species that made the humans extinct." a male orc remarked,
"How's the wormhole opener?" a mermaid asked,
"We still got enough energy to go back." a female dwarf responded,
"Let's go then." Poseidon stated,
"You guys don't want any farewell gifts?" Flash Magnus suggested,
"No, it's fine, we weren't here that long anyway." a male golem stated,
"It never hurts to say goodbye, lad." Rockhoof spoke,
"Come on now, you all can at least say farewell." Somnambula suggested,
"We didn't really do much here, though." Tom remarked,
"That's not a reason not to say goodbye." Mistmane responded,
"Yeah, we always bid farewells, even to people who just met." Mage Meadowbrook added,
"What about the rest of you?" Dommiel asked, the other creatures native to the world nodded,
"You all may have been mostly neutral, but you all won't be forgotten." Stygian stated,
"I doubt that." Volvox remarked,
"You won't, me and my friends here were still remembered even a thousand years later." Mage Meadowbrook reminded,
"Indeed, we wouldn't forget people like you all so easily." Star Swirl the Bearded added,
"Alright, we'll take the farewell gifts." Volvox stated, and they gave it to them,
"Is that all? Alright, let's go home." Volvox siad, and the wormhole opener was activated again and they went back home while the world's natives said bye to them,
"Good, they're finally gone, I'll never forgive them for eating our fish." Queen Novo remarked,
"Well, they were mostly neutral and didn't understand our ways, but they didn't seem like bad people." Princess Luna said,
"Indeed, it's too bad we couldn't establish trade and relationships with them." Princess Celestia stated,
"Well, hopefully, our lessons in friendship and forgiveness will lead them to having a change of heart and offer friendship to the creatures that came through the first portal." Twilight Sparkle remarked while looking at the sun and smiling.
Volvox and his subjects arrived back in their home realm and they immediately began looking for the planet of the aliens that made the humans extinct, they found them and they launched an all-out attack together that made the aliens extinct and Volvox blew up the planet with his hellfire blasts. The Maker tried to remake the humans but discovered it could not and the humans' souls were fused to the now extinct aliens and they had cast a spell to nullify The Maker's powers in reviving them and it was still in effect even after the aliens' extinction, everybody visited the humans' graves and looked down a bit, they then remembered the humans in the world Sunset Shimmer was in and smiled since the species will continue to live on elsewhere.
