"I will try my best to bring him back but this spell can take hours even being an alicorn" the princess said hastily . Twilight smiled with joy" oh thank you thank you princess" Twilight replied with joy. "Anything for my dearest student some time i will have to teach you this spell" Princess Celestia finally replied to Twilight happily since this whole damn war started. Sarge had just walked in and knelled at What should have been the now specialist an E-4 ranked she thought when he comes back to life he will for once be happy. Sarge just dropped off Abbott's ranks and left. Twilight was mad he had never paid any respect for his best Private gaining 3 ranks in only 3 days how many people can do that she thought? Just then the rest of the Mane 6 walked in and bowed to see princess Celestia. "Hey every pony" Twilight said when she welcomed them in with joy and sorrow in her voice. "Where is he" Fluttershy quietly mumbled? "What was that" Twilight asked confused? at what Fluttershy asked. Dash walked up and she said much louder then Fluttershy "where is he you know Abbott"? "Oh right here he has been stabbed through the heart the princess is doing her best to try and revive him she said it will take several hours if it works" Twilight said with some doubt in her voice. The princess then broke her concentration and said "give me two hours the bullet proof vest took most of the knife and as well as the 2 sweat shirts if this works then he will be back good as new".
I could hear Twilight's voice and see her but everything else was a blur. I awoke to be in a dark hallway or at least what i thought a hallway. I could some how see perfectly in the pitch black. I kept walking for what seemed to be forever. I then came upon a area with buildings and fire on the bottom. "I asked what is this place"? I said confused. Thinking no one would hear me i jumped when i heard a quite talk almost like a whisper voice say "purgatory". "So I'm getting my sins cleansed and going to heaven or am i going right to hell"? I asked nervously. "Your time has not yet come he replied you still have a full life ahead of you". "Then what am I doing here"? "Waiting" the figure replied. Waiting for what?I asked kinda hoping for a better answer.The figure pointed up and said "That". Then when i looked up i saw a big white alicorn over my body casting a spell. "Then who are you"?I asked out loud letting my anger build up. He replied pissed to what I had asked and how i said it "do you not see the dark black robes and scythe"? I then replied "oh you are death right"?Hoping my answer was right. "Yes" he replied amused to what I had said."How long do i have to wait"? I asked out loud with a mix of fear and rage. "Two hours" he replied very calmly. "Well what am i supposed to do for two hours"?I asked out of curiosity. "I have been sent to reveal a bit of the truth the rest you must figure out yourself". "Okay then shall i start with my first question"? I said nervously. Death replied "yes". In a sort of creepy way. "How did this war start like every one how did we get involved I thought Russia had a treaty with everyone"?I asked clearly thinking i all ready know more about hot it started. He looked shocked that i did not know the real answerer. He replied "my dear boy as long as there are two people that hate each other enough they are going to want each other dead". "The reason this all started was because of two Russian Spetnaz spies one in the U.S and one in Europe". "All this info is classified to those rank E-3 and lower death replied so at the time i could see in your defense how you did not know the information". Death told me. "Then one day the spies killed two very important people". "They had both snuck into the military bases and killed each of your 5 star Generals the lie is that Russia has just snuck onto your soil and attacked with the help of other countries to get more people to join the military that is why they keep the info to those E-4 and up". Death told me in a sorta of amused way.
"Okay next question can i see my family at least"? "Before I go". I asked hoping he would say yes. "With pleasure it has been fun to watch you turn into a deadly weapon on the war front". He replied amused at watching me kill people. I was fed up with how he had said that. "You want to know something death"? I asked him pissed and like a smart ass."What" He asked shocked i had asked something in this way. "You know why i kill these people"? "Because they attacked our country and killed thousands of innocents". "Kids who never got to grow up died from these greedy damned monsters they attacked us in cold blood so i will kill them till they surrender". He interrupted I know a reason you are holding back did you forget i can read your thought's "You kill them because they killed your family as well and the rage has been building up so you need revenge". Death told me the part I had been holding back. He summoned my family that had been killed while i was away. Even my second family in Louisiana. Death said "you feel some what of sorrow don't you for killing them? that is why you are different". Death then left us.This time he said it with some emotion. I talked shortly with my lost family and then parted ways with sad and sorrowed good byes. Death then had a question for me "why do you think you are in the military"? "I joined when this happened like my Friend Twilight". I told him and i thought he knew everything about me. He looked at me and shook his head. "I am only telling this because you are one the few people who are actually fighting for a reason just not to kill people and shoot a fully automatic wepon". He told me still with some passion in his raspy voice. "You and you friend Twilight must not have remembered you two have been trained to kill since the age you could walk". "But let us continue on you had been taking from your families and had been put into a training camp for the elite". "You and Twilight where the only two to pass the camp out of the 150 the other kids where killed they wiped any memory of them out of both of your minds". "Remember you and her are elite that is the only reason you two are so good at combat use this to your combat advantage if you want to live on and get married and etc". Death told me with a wise voice this time.
"Death I have one more question". I asked him with wonder and worry in my voice. What is it? He asked like a wondering child."Can we ever win this war"? I asked him curiously. "It all depends on the others actions around you and remember no war can be won without friends". "So it is possible I can't even predict the future outcome of this type of stuff". "That is all i can reveal to you goodbye". Death told me shocked I had asked him the question. I waved at him and said goodbye.I thought not even death can see the future of who can win the wars of the world. I only had 30 minutes till i was supposed to awaken. I felt something warm hit my outer body. It was tears from Twilight she pleaded "please don't die on me". She sat there and cried soon the tears piled up on my body. I awoke to be on a bed surrounded by every one that was left at the base even sarge. I looked at the small table where i saw a specialist rank sitting. I asked "sarge who's is this"?Hoping he would say it was mine. He replied "yours Specialist Abbott". With a somewhat happy reply.
I then felt a crushing death grip as each by each the ponies hugged me. Then came Twilight she smiled and gave me a even harder and longer hug i saw that she had been promoted to Private first class. While the other five were only Private 2's. I hugged her back and said "thank you". I told her with care in my voice. She replied "thank you for what"?She asked wondering why i had something like that. "Inspiring me and believing in me" I told her. She just looked and smiled and said something quietly.I could not understand her and asked "what did you say i could not quite hear that"? She said "Oh it was no problem i always have faith in people epically in friends like you and you have inspired me and she also thanked me for believing in me". I smiled and said "It's no problem i never doubt friends". She just hugged me longer and smiled and whispered "thank you for not dieing on me i don't know what i would have done.Twilight said.I told her "thank you for telling the princess to try that spell" and I just sat there and cried for no reason it was like Twilight was my only family. She asked "what's the matter"? Worried like she said something bad.I told her how i felt like she was the only family i had left.She just smiled and that made me feel good so i just smiled back. For once since this war has started I felt joy. I did not want to tell her the truth about us that i had learned from death.No point in ruining one of the few happy moments you get in war. I knew some time I would have to tell her the truth about us even though it was not that important or bad in fact to me it was good to be elite at something for a change. For now i enjoyed the party Pinkie through for me. All was good for now.
