Following the destruction of the DreadZone station, and Vox's people were taken into custody while his assets were seized, Ratchet, Autumn, and Starswirl quickly moved the armor that they had been forced to wear, though Al helped since they had been designed to last until a contestant died and he knew how to disable that feature. The other heroes were taken to an area where they would be able to rest and regain themselves after their time in DreadZone, as being kidnapped and being forced to fight as a gladiator for the amusement of the Shadow Sector might have mentally wounded some of them. As such it was recommended that the heroes take some time off, relax, and not do anything that might trigger a relapse into their days spent on the station, and even Ace, despite his change of heart, forced himself to attend counseling as well, due to all the time he had spent there, which the group agreed with. The siblings also made sure that the other heroes were unharmed and none of them had any lasting scars from their time in DreadZone, where Kid Nova was fine, Hydro Girl had a crush on Ratchet, and the others were just fine.
Angela and Sasha were happy to see that all five of them were safe, as they counted Clank and Al in their count, though as Al went back to the Phoenix, to make sure it was undamaged from the assault that lead to their capture, the pair found that Ratchet was gearing up to leave already.
"Ratchet, what are you doing?" Angela asked, as she could see that he seemed to be packing for a trip, which was odd since she knew that everyone who had been in DreadZone needed some time off before doing anything heroic, even though she was more interested in the happy look on his face.
"We, and I mean all of us, are going on vacation and heading to Pokitaru... to Jowal Resort, actually, as the owner owes us big time." Ratchet replied, referring to the fact that the man who ran the place told him and his siblings that they were going to be put down as VIPs and that they were going to be given special treatment in the future, if they came to visit the resort, before he glanced towards the air, "Also, while we were tackling Vox's courses, we found several cracks in reality, leading to another reality's version of the planets we were on... save for the last one, as it showed a prison planet unlike any we had seen, and my sister was breaking in to save innocent people."
Sasha knew that many would ask what Ratchet was talking about, as Autumn was the only confirmed sister of Ratchet, but the pod he arrived in all those years ago revealed the truth, he had a twin sister, someone he had been searching for since he learned of her existence, and realized how much pain that must have caused him, to actually see his sister and have her snatched before he could rescue her.
"Taking a break would be beneficial, since there's no telling when another villain will show up," Starswirl remarked, which was true, there were a lot of villains in Solana and, with the recovery of a good number of heroes, they should be able to go on vacation for a time, even though many would mourn the fallen heroes, but if someone like Nefarious showed up it would be their job to take them out.
Sasha agreed with the idea, because the family had been working hard and they deserved a few days, maybe a couple of weeks, off, though since nothing else seemed to be happening in her world right now, as no one wanted a piece of the President, she decided to join them. Of course neither she or Angela were upset about Hydro Girl having a crush on their boyfriend, in fact he seemed to have that effect on most of the girls he encountered, something Angela was sure that he inherited from his father, so, since she had an interest in him, they decided to invite her as well. A few moments later the newest arrival joined them at the shuttle they were going to use, as none of them wanted to bring the Helios, to keep their location a secret, where they found that Hydro Girl had navy blue skin and hair, with a silver chest piece and head gear, to help her underwater, and she had dark blue pants that belonged to a suit. Since her home planet was Aquatos it made sense for them to see that she had some aquatic features, like gills that allowed the heroine to breath underwater, along with small fins on her elbows and a large one on her back, though they also learned that her name was Nika, since she didn't want them calling her by her hero name all the time.
Once everyone was ready to go, and they didn't tell Qwark anything since none of them wanted him to ruin their time off, the group climbed aboard the shuttle and headed off to Pokitaru, a planet Nika had put on her list of places to visit when she had time off. Clank called ahead, allowing the owner to know they were coming and that they were in need of privacy for a while, though at the same time Autumn sent a message to Mr. Lumos, informing him of the fact that they would be taking some time off and that, if anyone called for them, just to tell them that they were on an important assignment and that they would get back to them later. She wasn't expecting anyone to come looking for them, but it never hurt to cover all of their bases so they could have some time off and not be interrupted by a constant stream of people, and the owner of Towal Resort understood, as he labeled them in the books as important VIPs. He also informed them that he would have cards at the ready for their arrival and that he would ensure they were left alone while they relaxed on the private section of the resort, showing Nika some of the rewards the family had gathered over the years.
When the shuttle finally touched down the group met the owner and he handed over the cards, allowing them to head out for the private section of the resort without delay, leaving the shuttle to be moved so no one knew it was here, but once that was done the group finally switched out of their heroic attire and put on attire appropriate for the beach. The cards gave them access to some of the more impressive facilities of the resort, even if the private area had a lot of things they could do, though the first thing they did was head to the beach, allowing Clank to start building sand structures while the others did whatever they wanted. This time around Autumn and Starswirl stayed away from their studies and played with a frisbee, not even bothering to use their magic this time around, while Sasha and Angela, both wearing swimsuits that had a top and bottom section, basked in the sunlight and enjoyed some time off at long last. While they did that Ratchet found that Nika wanted to explore underwater and brought him with her, so it was a good thing he brought his O2 Mask out of his actual armor, before finding that when she entered the water her legs merged into a blue mermaid's tail, which stopped at her waist, though she smiled for a moment when she noticed the surprised look on his face, before they got moving.
The family hoped that the peace they fought for would last, so they could just enjoy their time off and not have to worry about any villains coming out of wherever they were hiding for a long time, but even as they relaxed, however, most of them knew it was only a matter of time until something happened and they weren't looking forward to it.
