CHAPTER 2: SOME SPACE FOR CHAOS

PART 1
“…And as the darkness grows, so does the Chaos.” said the soothing voice of an unseen spirit. “It’s only a matter of time before my physical body is released from that infernal stone prison.”
“Your offer is quite interesting, I must admit,” Said a round shadowy figure. “I would be a fool to pass this.” The figure turned around in the chair he was sitting in. the chair was bolted to the floor of the dimly lit room, right in front of a large monitor. The chair itself had buttons and swhiches that he proceeded to push. “So if what you’re saying is true, about multiple worlds all separated, and that this one has been connected to yours, then that leaves the question, how?”
“A form of great power that originated from this world called out and my world answered,” said the nothing that wasn’t there.
“The Chaos Emeralds?” he asked.
“Yes. And the connection that was made is still in place.” Answered the voice.
“And what off these…what did you call them? Heartless?” he asked “What are they? And why are they so important?”
“I can grant you power to control them and you can find out for yourself,” the voice said with obvious mischief in his tone. The man stood up and proceeded to pace the room thinking over everything and considering his options. “Did I mention that the Heartless could be used to take down…miner threats?”
“Such as that blasted hedgehog, Sonic?” he began to grin maliciously. “If that is so, then I could finally complete my Eggman empire and there is nothing that Sonic would be able to do to stop me! Muhahaha…ho, ho, ho, ho.” He laughed evilly and was soon joined by the laughter of the voice that was speaking to him.
“What do you say? Do we have a deal, Eggman?” the voice asked.
“Yes, I believe we do.” Eggman responded. “So, what of these…Heartless? How can I control them?” he asked after brief moment of awkward silence.
“Oh, yes. That power must be granted to you,” the voice replied.
“Oh! By whom?”
It was quiet for a moment before the voice spoke again. “A very old friend of mine. Her name is Maleficent.”
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
It was quiet, very quiet. The only sound was the soft Tick Tock, Tick Tock. of the wall clock. Tails sat in nervous patience. He had called Sonic nearly 7 minutes ago. “Sonic should have been here by no,” he thought to himself, “I mean even if he was on the far side of the mountains it shouldn’t—”knock. knock. knock. A knock at his door interrupted his thoughts. “That must be him.” Tails said out loud.
Tails quickly walked to the door and opened it. On the other side was indeed his best friend, Sonic “Hiya, Tail! What’s up?” greeted the speedy blue hedgehog as he walked in to rather large, hanger- like, laboratory that his friend, Tails, called home.
“Sonic, were have you been? I called you like…10 minutes ago.” Tails said as he led his friend to his desk.
Sonic shrugged his shoulders. “I stopped for a chilidog, there is never a wrong time for a chilidog,” he explained. He pat his stomach and closed his eyes, remembering the chilidog he had just eaten. He opened his eyes and looked back to Tails. “So why did you call me over?” he asked.
“It’s about a Chaos Emerald. It’s acting strange,” Tails answered. He began to rummage through his rather large wooden desk. It was littered with small stacks of files, reports, pictures, a few pens and pencils, and an oversized eraser.
“So what? The Chaos Emeralds act strange all the time—”
“Not ALL the Chaos Emeralds, Sonic. A Chaos Emerald,” Tails corrected him mid-sentence. Tails opened another drawer then exclaimed “BINGO!” As he apparently found what he was looking for. He held up a small blue Emerald that was glowing softly. “Take a look, Sonic.” He handed it over to Sonic “See how it’s glowing?”
Sonic noticed that the Emerald was in fact glowing and fading in a strange way. “It looks like its breathing. Were did you find this Emerald anyway, and when did it start doing this?” Sonic asked as he turned it around to get a whole view of the Emerald.
“It was waiting right here on my desk when I got back after the last time we “used” them.”
Sonic remembered the last adventure that involved the Emeralds, only half a month ago. And he thought back to his equestrian friend, Twilight Sparkle. It was she who had technically “used” the Emeralds last time.
“As for the glowing,” Tails continued. “That started this morning.”
“What do you think is going on?” Sonic asked.
Tails thought for a moment then shook his head. “I’m not sure. I need to do a small test,” he said. “So, what do you say Sonic? Want to see what makes this Emerald tick?”
Sonic fashioned his trade-mark smirk. “Let’s do it, to it.”

PART 2
It was a warm sunny day in Ponyville. The sun crept in through the window of cottage that was made from a tree. Small birds were flying around the tree roof singing softly. The warm glow of the morning sun spread across the sleeping face of a light yellow colored Pegasus with quite an unruly pink mane. A small white bunny tip-toed into the room. He pulled out a tiny pocket watch and looked at the face. The watch said 7:48 AM. The bunny got a shocked look on its face and bounced onto the bed of the small Pegasus. He gently nudged her on the shoulder.
“Hm…?” The Pegasus slowly opened her eyes. “Oh, Angel Bunny! Good morning,” she said in very soft and soothing voice. Angel frowned and then showed her the time on his watch. “What’s this? ...OH MY! She leaped out of her bed and then blushed as she realized she had taken all the covers with her. She quickly spread them back on the bed and then flew out of her room and into her bathroom. “Oh, dear, I’m late again. That is the third time in a row,” she muttered to herself as she brushed, combed, and then straightened her hair.
After grabbing an apple, granola bar, and some toast she rushed out the door. “I’ll just have to eat these on the—Eek!” She was startled when out of nowere a loud strange sound started up. VWOORP, VROORP, VWOORP. The timid little pony dove behind a bush. The sound came from nowere and everywere all at once. She recalled it sounded a like mix of wheezing and sawing wood. The noise stopped with a BLONG.
She peeked out from her hiding spot. One of her eyebrows went up as the other stayed in place and she tilted her head in confusion. “What on earth…how did this get here?” Right in front of her was a rather large…blue.…public POLICE call box.
_____________________________________________________________________________
Twilight Sparkle was walking through Ponyville enjoying the hustle and bustle of the market. She was accompanied by her good friend, Rarity. Rarity was a unicorn like Twilight Sparkle. She had a long indigo mane and tail that swirled perfectly. Her coat was a soft pure white. Twilight had often joked to herself about how it looked much like marshmallow. Her cutie mark was three beautiful diamonds.
“I Love your new hat, Rarity,” commented Rose, a cream colored pony.
“Why thank you. Darling,” replied Rarity. She used her magic and lifted it off her head then put it on the counter of Rose’s stand. “Here, you can have it. I think it would look much more marvelous on you.” Rose put the hat on her head. “There, see? You look absolutely fabulous, darling!” Twilight had to admit it did look very gorgeous on Rose; almost as if it were destined to be Rose’s perfect hat.
“Thank you, Rarity. This is such a nice gift,” said Rose.
Twilight and Rarity turned to leave. As they walked away, Twilight heard the Wheeeeeee ,wheeeeeeer of a whistle directed at Rose by some young colt. Twilight put on a baffled face as Rarity simply grinned. “That was such a wonderful thing you did back there Rarity,” Twilight said when they began walking again.
Rarity looked over at Twilight and smiled. “It’s nothing really, I have plenty of hats. And besides, Rose will probably be standing in that hot sun all day selling her flowers. She would need a hat to keep her safe from the heat.”
As Twilight thought about what Rarity just said, she did not notice that her horn was glowing. She was jerked out of her thoughts as she was lifted up into the air. Her eyes glowed white as a beam of magical light shot from her horn. The beam end of magic stopped in midair and turned into a ball of light with bolts of lightning circling it. The burst of magic stopped and Twilight’s eyes went back to their normal state. Twilight fell back down to the ground from were she had been floating.
“Huh, wait, what just happened?” she asked as she tried to clear her head from the stars she was seeing. Was that her imagination or was she seeing tiny little Derpys flying around her head? She shook it to clear it once more.
She looked to were Rarity was staring, her mouth slightly agape and eyebrows screwed up in confusion. Her eyes got wide and she displayed the same level of confusion as Rarity at what she saw. Twilight spoke, still surprised at what she was seeing. “How did you—what are you doing back here?” she asked. Right there, lying on the ground, were her old friends. “Sonic? Tails? But how?”

PART 3
BOOM ! CRASH! SPKKRRZAP! FROOSH! These noises and more could be heard in the console room as The Doctor, a tall thin man with a ridiculous amount of hair on his head, tried to calm the TARDIS, his spaceship/time machine. He was sporting a red bowtie-- that by now had a bit of soot on it-- suspenders, a brown professor’s Jacket that was oddly clean and wrinkle free, and a grayish, purple button-up shirt.
“Doctor, what’s going on?” cried the voice of one of his companions.
The Doctor flipped a couple of swhiches and pushed a button that was on the console dashboard that sat in the middle of the large room. “I don’t know,” he confessed, “I can’t stop it, Amy.” The Doctor flinched as an explosion of sparks flew out of the dashboard.
“What do you mean you can’t stop it?” asked Rory, the Doctor’s other companion.
“The TARDIS is…how can I explain this? …um…It’s chasing after a huge power space/time source.” The Doctor pulled a large lever that was connected to the bottom of the console, and turned some dials in quick haste.
Amy was gripping onto the guard railing and crouching to keep herself safe. “What does that even—WHOA!” her question was cut off as the room did one last very powerful jerk.
The whole room was dark. The only light came from the screen that was above the console. The Doctor tried to pick himself up. He felt as if his whole body had just gone through an automatic taffy stretcher. Amy and Rory felt the same from were they were lying but decided to keep still in case something more happened. The screen displayed some data and charts and complex figures that only The Doctor could read. “Well I’ve got good news and bad news,” he announced.
“What’s the good news, Doctor?” Rory asked, his voice shaky. He thought his arms and legs felt weird but that might be from the crash.
“Well, the good news is the TARDIS engines and time coupler source are completely and utterly dead?” he answered with a happy yet serious tone.
”Doctor, how is that “good” news at all?” Amy asked, clearly annoyed
“Compared to the bad news, it’s good news.” The Doctor said. “The bad news is that we have fallen through the fabric of the universe and slipped along the void’s abstract plain. That means we have landed on a world in an alternate universe. The TARDIS being dead means that it does not have to try compensating for the dramatic shift in the new time stream.” The Doctor then scowled. “But that does limit our mobility until she recharges.”
“Doctor, can we get some lights on?” asked Rory.
“Aw, yes. Of course. Interface should still be operational,” The Doctor answered. “Computer Interface, activate emergency lights,” He called out.
Lights suddenly flicked on. “AAHHH! WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED TO ME!?!”
Amy’s scream made the Doctor jump. He turned to look at Amy. What he saw shocked him and he stumbled backwards. He then got yet another shock at what he saw when he looked himself over. “Why, why we’re…ponies? But, b-but h-how?” was all The Doctor could manage to stammer out.
Amy then remembered Rory and swiveled her head to look for him. She called out to him. “Rory? Rory are you alright? Were are you?”
Amy’s attention was drawn to the stairs were Rory, or rather a pony that looked like Rory, lay. “I’m fine, but I think I might have bumped my head. Doctor what’s going on?”
The Doctor took note of his two ponied friends. Amy was light pink, her hair was the same, long red fiery hair of her human self and her tail complemented her hair. His view was directed to Amy’s leg. “Amy, when did you get that tattoo?” the Doctor asked puzzled. On Amy’s flank was a clock with his TARDIS, a blue police box, and a line that looked much like the crack that was in Amy’s wall from when she was young.
Rory was a much different story, however. He was a blue pony. His hair seemed to have faded and had a slightly different style. He, too, had what resembled a tattoo in about the same place as Amy’s, but his was a large red cross symbol with a stethoscope and what he knew to be the twenty- first century sign for a doctor. What was most different about Rory was that he had a horn on his head.
The Doctor was about to say something when he heard a KNOCK, KNOCK, KNOCK on the TARDIS’ front door. “Now who could that be?” the Doctor asked. He walked over to the doors, which he found was quite easy given the fact he was now walking on four legs. The door opened with a SQUEEEK. There in front of him was a yellow pony with impossibly long pink hair and…wings? The Doctor finally found his voice “Ummm…hello. Were are we, exactly?”

PART 4
“It is such a pleasure to finally meet you, Maleficent.” Dr. Eggman greeted the queen of darkness with a polite bow.
Maleficent was a tall thin woman with pale, almost green, skin. She wore a long black dress and cape that covered her entire body. Her hands and face were the only part of her body showing. She had a head dress that had two horns sticking up wards. She also had a long staff with a green orb secured on the tip of it. “So, Doctor, you would like to control the darkness?” she asked. “You are lucky you were so highly regarded by an old “colleague” of mine.”
Eggman game a mischievous grin. “Trust me. With my superior intelligence I can convert these Heartless,” he gestured to one that was standing next to Maleficent, “into unstoppable, mechanical marvels.” Eggman flipped a swhich and a hatch to the side opened up revealing a Heartless- like being mixed with robot parts and weapons.
Maleficent looked quite pleased. “Very well done, Dr.Eggman,” sShe congratulated, “I will grant you the power to control the Heartless. Do not disappoint me,” she warned.
“Trust me,” he reassured. “With this power, I cannot possibly fail.”
Maleficent looked unimpressed once again. The orb on her staff was enveloped lightly in a black and dark purple aura. She moved the staff slightly and Eggman, too, was lightly surrounded by the same aura. Then it stopped. “It is done, but I must warn you, Dr., Do not delve too deeply into the darkness, lest it swallow you whole.”
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
“And what does this do, again?” Sonic asked as he looked the strange capsule up and down. Tails had placed the Emerald inside it and went over to what Sonic guessed were the controls.
“It will extract and analyze the power in the Emerald and tell us what going on,” Tails answered as he turned on the machine. The whole thing started up with a low HHHUUUMMM.
“Wait. Isn’t taking the power of the Emeralds dangerous, Tail?” Sonic asked confused.
“If my theory is correct, then it’s not the power in the Emerald acting up. I think it’s more of a signal,” Tails answered as put some commands in the computer.
“So we are only seeing what’s sending the signal?” Sonic concluded.
Tails pushed some buttons and flipped a swhich to the ON position. “Yup! That’s the plan.” A bright white beam shot out of one of the pointers that surrounded the capsule. The Emerald began to glow brighter. “Now let’s see if we can’t send a signal back to the source and then pin-point were it’s coming from.” Tails muttered to himself as he began recording the data that showed on the screen.
Tails adjusted a nob ever so slightly and the beam changed from white to a light blue. “Tails, what’s going on? Is that supposed to happen?” Sonic asked as the beam changed again and then settled into a wavy pattern.
Tails got a shocked expression on his face that quickly melted into horror. “The power in the Emerald is leaking out and the beam can’t record it properly! I can’t keep it under control!” Tails worked franticly at the controls. “She’s gonna blow!”
The capsule exploded with a bright white flash. Sonic and Tails were enveloped in it. “TAILS, WATCH—.” Sonic stopped mid-sentence as everything went white. It was so white Sonic could feel it in all of his sinces. He could see only white, feel only white, hear only white, and taste and smell white. He was not sure how he could taste and smell white but just as quickly as it had happened, everything seemed to stop. Then everything went black. Sonic felt a slight pressure on his front, as if he had fallen face first on to the ground.
As he began to come to, he thought he heard a muffled voice that sounded familiar. “Humw ded yow—whent sar yoow duig boke hearwe?” Sonic shook his head to clear his ears which were ringing loudly. “Sonic? Tails? But how?” the same voice said, this time much more clearly.
He knew that voice. He had heard it once before. “Twilight is…is that you?” Sonic asked when he looked up. All he could see were two big purple and white blurs. He turned his head and rubbed his eyes. He looked next to him and saw that Tails was beginning to get up as well. He looked back to the source of the voice that sounded like his friend, Twilight. “Twilight, it is you?!” He exclaimed as he saw his familiar purple unicorn pony friend, Twilight. “But how? Am I back in your world again?” Sonic asked when he tried to stand up. His legs were quite wobbly, but he could manage. He helped Tails to his feet.
“What are you two doing here?” Twilight asked once the two were steady on their own feet.
The white unicorn that Sonic hadn’t seen the last time he was here spoke before he could answer. “Twilight, you know these two?” The white unicorn was staring at them in confusion and wonder.
“Rarity, this is Sonic and Tails. They…come from far away. Sonic, Tails. This is my friend Rarity.”
“It’s nice to meet ya.” Tails greeted.
“It’s nice to meet another one of Twilights friends” Sonic said as he gave a thumbs up. Rarity bowed her head slightly in a very lady like fashion. This made Sonic blush inwardly at the informality of the gesture with which he had greeted her.
“The pleasure is all mine.” She greeted in return “You are giving me so much inspiration, the two of you.” She went on, “Your coat color, that deep blue, so marvelous and—DEAR CELESTIA! You have two Tails!” She had just become shockingly aware of the two tails of Tails. “Why this…that…those…. absolutely stunning, I must—.”
“Later, Rarity,” Twilight said, stopping her friend from going off on an inspiration streak. “How did you two get here?…I mean clearly my magic had something to do with it.” Twilight was then stuck with a thought. “Is it your Emeralds…what did you call them?”
Rarity’s ears perked up. “Did you say…EMERALDS?!?” She exclaimed, her eyes growing wide. She recomposed herself. “If you were to have any leftover Emeralds, I could take them of your hooves.” She looked at their hands then, with some embarrassment, corrected herself. “I mean hands.”
Tails rubbed the back of his neck, trying to find the best way to explain things. “Well, first, Twilight they are called Chaos Emeralds,” he began. Twilight nodded her head in remembrance. “And they aren’t worth much because of what they really are because—.”
“Well, of course I would not sell them. I would incorporate them itto one ofmy fabulous clothes,” Rarity explained cutting him off.
“Oh, ok. But that leads into the last thing,” he turned to Sonic, “Sonic, we only have one Chaos Emerald. I don’t think the other came with it.” He held out the Emerald that Sonic guessed Tails had found lying near him.
Sonic was nearly knocked back at what Tails had just said. “WHAT? But you need all the Emeralds to travel through space don’t you?” Sonic was recalling the time he had ended up in the world of his friend Blaze, the cat. They had needed all the Emeralds to get back and they had needed all the Emeralds to get back home the last time he and Tails were in Equestria. “How can we get back with only one Emerald?” Sonic’s heart sank a little. “What about Eggman? Who will keep him in line if he attacks our friends?”
Tails was a bit bummed out himself. “I don’t know, Sonic,” he confessed, “I just don’t know.”
“Come on you two. I know we can get through this,” Twilight smiled trying to cheer up her two friends. “Let’s get back to my library. Maybe I can find a way to send you two back. It’ll be an adventure.”
Sonic and Tails perked up at that. “You’re right. As long as we are with our friends, this will be an adventure!” Sonic exclaimed with new found confidence, And with that the four friends made their way to the Ponyville library.

PART 5
The pony just stood there, wide eyed. “Uuhhh…do you speak?” The Doctor asked after getting no response from the first question. The Doctor noticed that the little Pegasus seemed a bit scared and confused. “Well…I’m The Doctor,” he introduced, “And if you can understand me, then could you please—.”
“Why does it say police then?” the pony cut him off. Her voice was sweet and soft. “I mean if you don’t mind my asking?”
“Oh, so you can speak. That’s good. Speaking and communicating is very good.” The Doctor half spoke, half mumbled to himself. “Now, like I said, I am The Doctor. My “box” says Police because…well it’s all very complicated and I don’t have time.” The Doctor did his best to block the view to the inside of the TARDIS. He just was not up to having the whole “bigger-on-the-inside” conversation. “So, what’s your name?”
“Oh, uummm…?” the pony lightly kicked the dirt. “I’m…Fluttrshmm”
The Doctor had more than exceptional hearing but he had to admit he had a bit of trouble catching the last part of her name “I’m sorry what was that last part again?” he asked.
“Oh, uummm…shy?” It was still very soft but the Doctor could still hear what she said.
“Fluttershy? That’s a beautiful, if not somewhat odd, name.” The Doctor commented. He turned his head back into the TARDIS and called out to Amy and Rory. “Amy? Rory? Come and meet Fluttershy. She can tell us were we are.” A walking sound indicated that his companions were walking over to the front doors. “Fluttershy, these are my friends, Amy,” Amy peaked her head out the door and looked at the small Pegasus, “And Rory.” Rory shuffled past The Doctor and squeezed past Amy and out of the TARDIS Stumbling over his new hooves and plopping face first in to the ground.
Fluttershy gasped and bent down to Rory. “Oh my goodness, are you alright?”
Rory lifted his face up. “Ya, I’m alright. It happens a lot actually.” He gave a weak and nervous smile.
Amy quickly walked out of the TARDIS, helping Rory up. He winced a bit in pain. “What’s wrong Rory? Are you hurt?” She asked.
“I think I banged my head in that crash,” he answered, holding a hoof to his head.
“Oh dear, Do you need help?” Fluttershy asked, her face conveying worry. “You might have a concussion.”
Rory did his best to steady himself. “I’m fine, really. I don’t need any—GAH!” Rory fell to the ground again; his head throbbing badly. He put his hooves up to them, trying to soothe the pain.
“Rory? Are you sure you’re okay? ” The Doctor asked.
“Rory, your stubbornness is as thick as your skull some times, and as thick as it is, it might still be a good idea to get it looked at. Were is…” Amy looked around for the yellow pony. She caught a glimpse of a pink tail darting in to a small cottage, or tree house, or cottage tree?
“I guess you’re so scottish it rubs off,” Rory joked. Amy stifled a small laugh, and even The Doctor giggled at the joke. “GAH!” Another rush of pain shot through Rory’s head. “I wish I had an icepack,” he confessed.
Just then Rory’s horn started glowing a blue color. “Rory, that horn on your head…” The Doctor pointed out. A small glow appeared on top of Rory’s head and with small POOF, an icepack was on top of Rory’s head.
Fluttershy was trotting back up to them with some bandages in her mouth. She placed them next to Amy. “Oh good. You have an icepack already.”
The Doctor was dumbfounded and at a loss for words—which is a unique situation for him…quite possibly a first. Fluttershy bandaged up Rory’s head with Amy’s help. The Doctor just stood off to the side trying to make since of what had just happened. “How did you do that?” The Doctor blurted out.
Rory was confused. “Do what?” he asked. “Oh, you mean the icepack thing. Yeah, I don’t know. I just wanted one on my head so badly. Next thing I know, I have an icepack. Pretty cool. No pun intended.”
“What do you mean? Didn’t he just use magic?” Fluttershy interjected.
“Magic? There is no such thing as “Magic”, is there Doctor?” Amy asked.
“Well, I’ve been thinking,” The Doctor walked closer to be in the group, “It might be that some form of science could be at work here showing signs of what we would call magic.”
“You mean like telepathy?” Rory asked.
“Yes, well no, well maybe.” The Doctor looked over to Fluttershy. “Is this common here?” he asked her.
Fluttershy looked very confused. “Magic is common. Don’t you know? Your friend Rory here is a unicorn after all.”
“Oh, dear, let’s see.” The Doctor thought for a moment. “If I can get an environmental scan of this place with the TARDIS, my blue box,” he gestured to his ship, “Then I can find out about were we are, and what might have happened to us.”
“Oh my…something happened to you? What?” Fluttershy asked worriedly.
“I can explain everything once I get the data,” The Doctor explained.
“Maybe you should go see my friend, Twilight. She is a very smart pony. Maybe she can help you,” Fluttershy suggested.
“Well, the TARDIS does need time to warm back up.” The Doctor Mumbled to himself. “, Fluttershy, wait right here.” The Doctor rushed in to the TARDIS. He emerged a minute later wearing none other than a red, velvet fez. “Alright every one…erm…pony, let’s go.”
“uummm…Doctor?” Fluttershy piped up. “Are you sure it’s safe to just leave your blue box here?” she asked.
The Doctor gave a soft smile. “Yes, of course it is.” He answered. “Trust me, I’m the Doctor.”

PART 6
Twilight levitated the library key up to the door’s lock. There really was no need for Twilight to lock the doors. “What would somepony steal in a library anyway?” Spike had asked once.
She opened the door and stepped inside the dark room. “Here let me get the lights,” Twilight said as the others started to walk in. With a glow of her horn the shades opened up, allowing Celestia’s sun to shine in, and light up the entire first floor.
“Wow, this place hasn’t changed one bit,” Sonic commented as he looked around, surveying the familiar surroundings.
“Twilight, I am terribly sorry I can’t stay but I must get back to my boutique,” Rarity informed Twilight. “Your two friends here are giving me so many fabulous ideas, and I must get them down on paper before I forget.”
“Of course, Rarity, see you later.” Twilight smiled and walked to a bookshelf and began skimming through the titles.
Rarity walked back over to the door “Good bye, Twilight,” she said, “And it was very nice to meet you two. You must stop by my boutique later tomorrow if you are still in town.” She called to Sonic and Tails as she walked out the door.
Twilight continued to go through the book shelves, trying to find the book that she knew might help her two friends. The silence was broken when Tails spoke up. “Hey Twilight, how long has it been since we were last here?”
Twilight glanced back over her shoulder. “About…let me think.” She thought for a moment and then answered, “About two and half weeks. Why?”
“Interesting” Tails half said to himself. “That’s about the same time for us.”
“So does that mean our worlds are on the same time schedule?” Sonic asked.
“Something like that. But it doesn’t make much since.” Tails answered. “How could our worlds have the same time flow?” he questioned out loud.
“It could be that our worlds are connected.” Twilight put in.
“But how could that happen? You would need something very powerful and strong to keep our worlds connected.” Tails mused.
“You mean like the Chaos Emeralds?” she wondered.
“It’s a possibility. But the Emeralds would have to have been in both worlds in order to connect them.” Answered Tails.
Twilight was trying to process what Tails had just theorized when KNOCK, KNOCK. The knocking at the door startled Twilight out of her thoughts. She went over to the door and opened it. What she saw on the other side was one of the strangest things she had ever opened her door to. There in front of her was her friend Fluttershy with three ponies she had never seen. The first one, a mare, was a reddish pink and had the reddest mane and tail she had ever seen. She was wearing a brown Jacket and her cutie mark was the weirdest one she had ever seen. It was a blue clock with an old police phone box and what looked like a crack at the bottom of the clock.
The Second pony, a unicorn stallion standing next to the mare, was a blue pony with a light brown mane and tail and also wore a jacket. His jacket was blue green, however, and he had a bandage on his head. His cutie mark was a hospital red cross with the universal sign for Doctors and a stethoscope in the cross.
The final pony was the strangest of all. He was a light sand color with a fez on his head, he had a brown mane and tail with an hour glass cutie mark. He wore a bowtie, and had a strange looking green flash light in his mouth that he was moving up and down on the horn of the unicorn who seemed to become increasingly annoyed by it.
“Oh, Twilight, You’re home. Good.” Fluttershy greeted. “I have some very weird ponies that I think need to speak to you.” She waved her hoof, to indicate the three ponies behind her.
The brown stallion stopped what he was doing and looked over at Twilight. “You must be Miss Twilight Glitter,” he greeted.
“It’s Sparkle,” she corrected. “Umm…who are you?” she asked.
“Yes, well, I am The Doctor and these are my companions, Amy and Rory.” He gestured to the two other ponies.
“Just The Doctor?” Twilight asked.
“Now I don’t have much time to explain,” he made his way past Twilight into her home, “But there is something very powerful and potentially dangerous in your library tree. Very clever by the way,” he added. He waved his green flashlight which was making a high pitched BZZZZZZZZZZZZZ noise.
“Hey man, could you turn that down?” Sonic asked. “That thing is giving me a head ache.”
The Doctor looked up at the blue hedgehog. A huge grin spread across his face as he rushed over to him. “Extraordinary! Not only does this world have taking ponies but talking bipedal hedgehogs and foxes.”
“Wait. This world. Do you mean you’re from another world too?” Sonic asked the pony.
“Oh. so you are not from this world? Shame.” The Doctor looked at the device he had set on the ground and tapped a big red button that was on it. “And for you information this ‘thing’ is a Sonic screwdriver and right now it says there is a large amount of power somewere on your person.”
Sonic was taken aback at the strange tone of this pony. “You’re getting a little in my personal space.” Sonic took out the Chaos Emerald and held it up for the Doctor to see. “Is this what you mean?”
“Possibly. What is this gem?” The Doctor asked amazed.
Sonic held the Emerald firm in his hand. “This is a Chaos Emerald.”

PART 7
One after another, Heartless were being converted into dark metal clade beings. “You have done well, Eggman,”complimented the disembodied voice Eggman had befriended.
“It’s quite interesting; the way these creatures have adapted to my technology so easily is astounding,” Eggman eagerly pointed out. “So you say our worlds are in a state of harmonic grace?” Eggman asked.
“Yes, some power from your world has bridged the gap between our world. That bridge allows anyone who can tap into the power to walk between our worlds. That is how I came to find you,” the voice explained. “Although my body is still in my world, imprisoned.”
“If your power is as great as you say it is then why are you imprisoned?” Eggman asked as he looked over a check list in his hands.
“A power far different from mine is holding my body and a substantial amount of my power locked away. With the power I was able to conjure, I was able to walk the path to your world,” the voice said with a tone of exhaustion.
“Well now, that just won’t do, will it?” Eggman said with mock compassion. He grinned evilly. “Since you did help me obtain the power of these creatures, I will unlock your prison and set you free, heehee.” Eggman sat down in his spinning chair and started pushing buttons in quick secession. After an abnormally long silence he asked, “How do I set you free from you imprisonment?”
“All you need to do is gather up some Chaos.”
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Sonic held the Chaos Emerald in his hand as the Doctor bobbed his head all around the Emerald, examining it with the device he held in his mouth. He finally set the thing down on the floor and pushed its red button. It extended slightly and the top opened up. “Extraordinary,” he remarked as he stared at the green tip of his odd device. “This ‘Chaos Emerald’ is radiating an amazing amount of power that I have never seen before.”
The pink pony named Amy spoke up. “Doctor, what is so special about that Emerald?” Sonic took notice of the extremely red mane of Amy, A sort of orange red that gave the illusion of fire. “And how is it an Emerald anyway? Aren’t Emeralds green, not light blue?”
The Doctor formed an expression on his face, as if Amy had asked a completely stupid question. “This Emerald is giving off so much power that it is what lured the TARDIS here in the first place. Here to this whole new universe.” Everyone in the library was now looking at the Doctor.
The light blue pony, Rory, looked as if nothing out of the ordinary had just been said. Sonic guessed that Rory must have gotten crazy news like this from the Doctor often. “Doctor, if this is really is a different dimension—.”
“Universe,” the Doctor corrected him. “A dimension is the way an object moves through space. We are in another universe.”
Rory looked annoyed and he rolled his eyes. Sonic knew what the Doctor had said was correct as he had firsthand experience with jumping from one world to the next. “Ok, fine, we’re in another universe, whatever,” Rory said with an annoyed tone. “How did this happen?”
“Perhaps the Chaos Emerald did bring you here,” Tails piped up. “It does have the power to allow someone to jump from one universe into another. Sonic and I did that once.” Tails then began telling the story of when he and Sonic met Blaze, the cat.
The wheels in Sonic’s brain began turning as he tried to figure out how the Emerald could pull someone out of their world and into another. “Tails, the Emeralds have to be used in order to send someone to another place.”
“The TARDIS, my means of transport, somehow latched onto your Emeralds.” The Doctor put in.
“Yah, and nearly killed us in the landing as well,” Rory muttered under his breath. Sonic just barley caught what he had said.
Tails had a thoughtful look on his face. “Well it is possible that when we were pulled from my lab to here, the Emerald could have left a trail of energy within the abstract plain,” Tails theorized, “But you would have had to be in a warp state for you to pick it up, let alone, follow in back here.”
“Oh, well, that’s the beauty of my ship. You see it can travel in time and space,”
The Doctor said with a proud smile on his face. His smile faded to a solemn expression, “But I’m afraid that she won’t be going anywere for a while. Not until she has fixed the time engine problem.” The Doctor continued his worries. “Then what about getting back home? Or time travel limits or…”
Sonic tuned out the Doctor as an only thought popped into his head, “I wonder why the Doctor is wearing that?” he did his best to keep a straight face when he realized that the Doctor was wearing a silly looking bowtie and a fez.
“Sonic?” Sonic was thrust out of his thoughts as he heard Twilight say his name.
“What did you say?” he asked.
“Should we give the Doctor the Chaos Emerald?” Tails repeated the words Sonic guessed Twilight had just asked.
“Why, should we give them to you?” Sonic asked with a bit of suspicion in his voice.
“If I can tap into the Emeralds power I could get the TARDIS to punch through the abstract plain and get my friends and myself home,” The Doctor explained.
Sonic thought for a moment. “I don’t know.”
“I know that I don’t sound too trust worthy,” The Doctor said. “A strange…umm…pony fell out of nowere with two friends, babbles on about nothing, and then asks for a gem with great, almost infinite power. I would not trust them either.”
“What if we can show you we are telling the truth?” Amy suggested. “Then you will know we mean no harm.”
“Ok then.” Sonic agreed.
It’s…It’s bigger…on the inside?” Twilight babbled out with curiosity. The gang had left the library and followed the Doctor, Amy, and Rory to Fluttershy’s tree cottage. Twilight was in utter amazement. The blue police box looked like it would barely hold one pony but the inside was massive with lights, a stair case and a whole lot of other ammenities Twilight could not even begin to comprehend. The whole place seemed even bigger then Canterlot castle. “But…how?”
“Oh I do so love that bit.” The Doctor giggled with glee.
“I get it,” Tails suddenly said, “It’s like a whole other dimension of space.”
The Doctor pointed his hoof at Tails. “Correct!”
Twilight looked over to were she last saw Sonic but he had disappeared. A moment later there was a Whoosh sound and a blue beam came from up the stairs down to them. “This place is huge”
“Did you just run through the whole TARDIS?” Rory asked, his face showing amusement.
“This world never ceases to amaze me,” The Doctor said in awe. “I wonder what other amazing creatures are here. Exploding turtles?” Fluttershy gasped in horror. “Or maybe combustible lemons? Do you have combustible lemons here, Nightlight Snarl?” the Doctor asked, turning his gaze toward Twilight.
“I told you, it’s Twilight Sparkle,” Twilight corrected, getting all huffed up. “And I have never even heard of combustible lemons before.”
“That’s a shame.” The Doctor said.
Twilight continued to look around the large room, all the gadgets and gizmos were almost too much. She shook her head to clear it and walked over to were Sonic, Tails, and Fluttershy stood.
Sonic was the first to speak. “Okay, so you were telling the truth about your spaceship and I will take your word that you must have been human before now.” Sonic paused a moment before continuing. “I’ll let you use the Chaos Emerald to refuel your ship and help you get back home… under one condition.”
“Why is there always a catch?” the Doctor muttered out loud. “What is it?” Twilight was a bit shocked that Sonic would throw in a catch; Sonic wasn’t that type of character.
“When you leave could you give Tails and me a lift back to our own world?” Sonic asked. Twilight was right about Sonic. She felt ashamed that she questioned Sonic’s motivation for placing a condition on his help.
The Doctor smiled. “Of course we can; if your Emeralds have that power?”
Tails, who was holding the Emerald, handed it over to the Doctor. “They do have that type of power. I have used it once before.” Tails confirmed. The Doctor gently picked up the Emerald in his teeth.
“Why don’t you just use your hooves to carry it?” Twilight asked.
“Are oo kidfing me? How am mi shupposed hoo arry it in my Hoowes?” The Doctor asked trying not to drop the Emerald that was in his mouth. He placed it on the dash board of a strange structure in the middle on the room.
Twilight walked over to the Doctor, “Like this, see?” she picked up the Emerald in her hoof and stuck it out for the Doctor to take.
“But…how are you doing that? That’s even not possible?” The Doctor asked astonished. “You don’t have fingers how are you grasping it? You know what, never mind.” The Doctor placed his hoof on the Emerald and experimentally lifted the Emerald up turning his hoof up to look at it. Sure enough, the Emerald lifted with his hoof and stuck there.
Twilight, Amy, and Rory watched as the Doctor hooked the Emerald up to the dash board. Sonic, Tails, and Fluttershy had left to go up to Fluttershy’s cottage and get better acquainted; as they had not had a chance to meet her last time they were here.
“Are you sure you know what you’re doing?” Amy asked nervously. The Doctor ignored the question and continued to push buttons, pull leavers, and flip swhich after swhich.
The Doctor, now knowing he could hold things in his hooves, pulled out his special tool.
Twilight couldn’t remember what he had called it. “What did you say that thing was again?” Twilight asked the Doctor.
Amy answered instead. “He calls it a Sonic Screwdriver.”
“AHA!” yelled the Doctor, hinting at success. Intently the whole room, the whole ship in fact, seemed to be more alive. Buttons flashed. Noises were made and there was an omnipresent light humming that strangely soothed Twilight. “Now she needs to charge for a while before we can start her up, but when we do…oh boy will she sing.”
The four ponies made their way up to Fluttershy’s house. The sun was setting and Luna’s moon was just peeking up out of the opposite horizon. It had been a long day, not just for Twilight but for all her new friends as well. “Oh, so…uummm, you have your blue box ship working now?” Fluttersy asked once they were inside and settled.
“Well, sort of,” The Doctor explained, “You see, the TARDIS needs time to store up that energy safely.” Fluttershy, with help from Tails, placed everyone’s dinner in front of them.
“Thank you,” Amy and Rory said in unison. Amy poked at her food with a hoof. “What is it?” she asked.
“Three cheese lasagna.” Fluttershy answered. She then recoiled. “Oh dear. Do you not like lasagna?” Fluttershy was about to pick up her plate when Amy stopped her. “Did you say “lasagna”?” she asked. “I love lasagna.”
Rory nodded in agreement. “It’s true, she does. We even had it served at our wedding.” Rory then proceeded to eat his portion of the dinner.
Fluttershy relaxed and let out a breath of relief. “Oh, that’s good. I would not want to have made something you didn’t like.”
“May I have some more, please?” Amy asked a mere few seconds later. Twilight was amazed, she saw it but could not believe that some pony could devour so much so quickly.
Rory smiled. “That’s my Amy.” He commented then started to laugh. Soon they were all laughing along too, except for the Doctor. Twilight noticed and she wondered why.
“So, Doc, all we have to do is wait for your target to recharge?” Sonic asked after the laughter had died down.
“Please, call me ‘The Doctor’,” The Doctor politely asked.
“Okay, if that’s what you want me to call you.” Sonic said apologetically. “By the way, Doctor who?”
The Doctor ignored Sonic’s newest question, “And it’s called the TARDIS,” he corrected Sonic. “It stands for Time and Relative Dimension in Space,” he explained. He took another bite of his lasagna before continuing. “The TARDIS also needs time to adapt to your Chaos Emerald. And who know how long that could take.”
After the dinner was cleaned up, Twilight felt as if she had just been in the running of the leaves, going uphill with the wind pushing against her and with rocks in her saddlebags. She yawned a huge yawn. “I think I will head home. Are you guys good for sleeping here at Fluttershy’s?” Twilight asked.
“Fine with me.” Amy said. Rory and the Doctor shook their heads in agreement with Amy.
“Tails and I will sleep outside if that’s all right with you, Fluttershy.”
“It’s fine, I mean if you really want to. I suppose it’s a nice warm night out tonight.” Fluttershy stuttered and stumbled with her words nervously. Twilight was content with all the sleeping arrangements.
She walked over to the door calling out “Goodnight everypony.” She opened Fluttershy’s door and began the long trek back to her library and to her bed.

Part 8
Eggman walked back in forth, looking over some data on a clipboard in his hand. “Is something wrong?” the voice asked Eggman.
“Possibly.” Eggman responded flatly. He flipped through the papers again and wrote down a few notes.
“Oh? What is it?” the voice asked curiously.
“The data I have collected concerning the space that connects our worlds. If it is correct then that means we may need to tweak the plan.”
“Is this a bad thing?” the voice asked with concern. “What is it that bothers you?”
“This “bridge” that connects my world to yours. There needs to be link on both ends of the bridge,” Eggman explained. “I believe that this link which connects the worlds is being caused by the Chaos Emeralds.”
“How so?” the voice asked sounding captivated by were Eggman was going with all this. “How are your Emeralds the cause of all this?”
Eggman set the clip board down and walked over to his control chair. He flipped a couple of swhiches on the arm of his seat. “If a link is required in both worlds, then that means one or more Emeralds are already in your world,” he began to explain, “And by the looks of this data, they are trying to pull all the other Emeralds through as well.”
“Why does this require a change in the plans?” the voice asked with a tiny hint of anger in his tone.
Eggman ignored the rhetorical question and continued on, gradually becoming more and more angry. “The Emeralds would have had to have some way to get to your world. I suspect that Sonic must have been the one to do this.” Eggman was in a near tantrum now. “That horrid little hedgehog is always getting in my way.”
“Is there a way to work around this?” asked the voice.
Eggman took a deep breath and calmed down. He pushed the intercom button on his chair and spoke into it, “Attention, please bring up the Dark Egg Super Bateleur” he announced. “And make in snappy.”
“What do you have in mind, Eggman?” the voice asked.
“If we want to get the slip past Sonic, then all we need to do is distract him,” Eggman answered, “And my little creation here will do just that.” Electronic doors opened, revealing the silhouette of something very, very big. An evil grin crept along Eggman’s face. “Dark Egg Super Bateleur, prepare for departure. Your mission: DESTROY SONIC THE HEDGEHOG!!!”
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
KNOCK, KNOCK, KNOCK, KNOCK “Fluttershy, open up.” Sonic awoke with a start when he heard a pounding noise. He was a little confused as to were he was. He quickly looked around and then remembered that he and Tails were in Equestria, sleeping on top of Fluttershy’s house. He looked over and saw Tails still sleeping a few feet away. He and Tails had somehow acquired blankets in the night. Sonic guessed that Fluttershy must have wrapped them up in the night. He looked over the side of the tree to see Rainbow dash, the light blue Pegasus with a Rainbow mane and tail. She was knocking on Fluttershy’s front door.
The knocking proceeded until Fluttershy opened up a moment later. “Oh, good morning Rainbow Dash. How are you this morning?” Fluttershy asked stepping outside.
“No time for that.” Rainbow said, getting all antsy. “Is it true? Is Sonic really back?” she asked.
Fluttershy was getting a bit flustered at Rainbow’s energy. “Well, yes. But how did you know he was here?” she cocked her head in confusion.
“I was at Twilight’s returning her sixth Daring Doo book when she told me that Sonic was back,” Dash explained calming down now. Sonic held back a giggle at Dash’s sudden change in energy.
“OI! What’s this racket out here?” They heard just before they saw a curious , but sleepy, Amy appear. “Hello. Who are you?” she asked when she saw the blue Pegasus.
“I’m Rainbow Dash, Fastest flier in all of Equestria.” Dash introduced herself. “You must be one of the strange ponies that Twilight mentioned.” Sonic knew why Dash was really here. He knew she must want a real race with him. He turned his attention back to Dash. “Anyway, Fluttershy, is he here or not?” Rainbow almost yelled out.
“Why do you want Sonic?” Amy asked.
“To have a rematch,” Rainbow answered. “Last time he was here we had a race that was cut short by some crazy monsters attacking.” Sonic thought back to that time. He knew he would have beaten her if he could finish the race. “I want a real race this time.”
“BINGO! There it is,” Sonic thought to himself. “So you want a rematch do you?” he called down to the three ponies.
Rainbow’s eyes went wide as she saw Sonic in the tree. She flapped her wings and zipped up to Sonic in an instant. “You bet I do!” she challenged.
“And a very good morning to you as well, Dash.” Sonic greeted her sarcastically.
Tails, who was now awake, waved hello to the Pegasus. Rainbow scoffed at Sonic’s sarcasm. “Fine, good morning, whatever.” she greeted, clearly annoyed. “So are you game, Sonic?” she asked.
“You bet.” Sonic said feeling ready for anything. Just then Sonic, Tails, and Rainbow’s stomachs all growled.
Rainbow looked embarrassed. She rubbed the back of her head with her hoof. “Uh, maybe we all should get something to eat first.” Sonic and Tails agreed by nodding their heads.
Rainbow glided back down to the ground while Sonic made his way down by acrobatically jumping from one tree branch to the next. Tails twirled his two tails like a helicopter and hovered his way down to the ground.
“Good morning Tails. Good morning Sonic.” Fluttershy greeted them when they were on the ground. “Did you sleep alright?” she asked.
“We sure did. Thanks for the blankets.” Tails answered as he handed the blankets he remembered to grab be for coming down out of the tree.
“You’re Welcome. Are you hungry? I have some breakfast ready if you are,” she offered.
Sonic could feel the emptiness in his belly. “I sure am. It smells delicious,” he answered, catching a whiff of what was cooking inside. They all went inside to get some grub.
Rory and the Doctor were just coming down from their own rooms as the colorful group entered the house. Rory looked as if he had tried sleeping without any knowledge of knowing how to do so. The Doctor on the other hand looked well rested and ready to tackle the day. He was neat and clean. Sonic could tell that there was not a single hair out of place on his head or tail. “Well, good morning to you, sleepy head.” Amy greeted her bedhead husband. Sonic snickered at the sight of the two ponies.
After introductions, every one sat down to eat. Sonic had some toast with butter, apple slices with caramel, and cold cereal that seemed to be a version of the whole wheat rings cereal back at home with a glass of milk. Tails had the same; except a muffin instead of fruit. The Doctor had a simple banana-nut muffin with strawberry jam. Amy and Rory both had the same meal consisting of oatmeal, coffee, orange slices, and toast with jam. Rainbow just ate a bowl of the same cereal that Sonic was eating.
After everyone ate and the breakfast was cleaned up, the whole group headed down the road to Ponyville. Ponyville seemed as busy as ever. It were as if all the residents had come out to either buy something or sell something. There were merchants selling flowers, merchants selling food, merchants selling jewelry, and even merchants selling all of the above.
Sonic tried to take note of the stuff they walked by in case he got lost. “Let’s see,” he thought to himself, beginning to list things he saw. “A flower stand, the town hall…Sugar Cube Corner?” Sonic thought back to the last time he was here and how he had found two Emeralds, stuck in a cake, there. “What was the name of the pony that worked there?” he tried to remember the pink pony’s name.
Almost as if his question was destined to be answered, the pink pony with impossibly frizzy hair and a balloon cutie mark stepped out of the store carrying what appeared to be trash bags out to the dumpster. When she spotted the group she lit up and quickly threw the bags in the dumpster. She then poked her head inside the store to say something to someone inside before bouncing over to the group.
She stared at everyone; her big eyes so full of happiness Sonic just couldn’t help but smile. She opened her mouth to speak. “Hi I’m Pinkie Pie. Who are you? You must be new in town because I now everypony in town and since I don’t know you that must mean you must be new. I should throw you a ‘welcome to Ponyville’ party! It will humongous.” She looked up at Sonic and Tails and without skipping a beat she continued her fast paced talking. “GASP! Sonic, Tails, your back. I thought you went back to your own world. Did you miss us so much that you used your Chaos Emerald thingies to come and visit us? Are these three Ponies your friends? Did you want to show them you’re other world friends? I would. I mean how many other ponies do you know who have friends from another world? Oh I know, now that you’re here I can throw you all a ‘Welcome back to Ponyville and thanks for brings friends to meet us’ Party!”
Sonic, Tails, Amy, Rory, And the Doctor were all completely speechless. Sonic had missed pretty much all of what Pinkie had just said. It went over his head and landed somewere far, far back behind him in the dirt and then promptly buried itself deep in the ground. He just stood there looking dumbfounded.
The Doctor shook his head, straightened up and began to answer some of Pinkie’s questions. “Hello Pinkie, I am The Doctor and these are my companions, Amy and Rory.” He gestured to them. “Yes. I guess you could say we are new in town and no, we did not come here with Sonic.” Sonic was amazed that the Doctor had actually kept up with all those questions.
“One of the Emeralds was acting strangely,” Tails piped up, and when we ran a few tests on it, the thing went heywire and transported Sonic and me here.”
“As for how we got here,” Rory added. “We come from another universe. The TARDIS, the ship that we can use to travel through time and space, picked up on the flow of energy that Sonic’s Emerald left behind and followed in out of our universe and into yours.” The Doctor looked a bit disappointed at not getting to explain it.
“And when we crashed, the TARDIS went dead and we were ponies. So we are using Sonic’s Emerald to repair the TARDIS and get us all back to our own worlds in our own bodies.” Amy finished.
The Doctor was now very upset t not getting the opportunity to be the one to explain the situation. “Well,” he scoffed. “Since you all are clever enough to just explain everything, I guess you don’t need me right now.” He swiveled his head around quickly to survey the area. “Is there a clothing store or boutique were I might find a hat?” he asked Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash, who had stayed quite this whole time. Sonic noticed Amy roll her eyes.
“Why, yes there is,” Fluttershy answered softly, “My friend, Rarity, owns a boutique. If you just go down this road,” she pointed her hoof down a path that led through the town. “Then you will find it. It’s called “The Carousel Boutique.” You can’t miss it.” She stated.
Sonic watched as the Doctor trotted down the road, grumbling something to himself. “The Carousel Boutique”? Isn’t that the Place Twilight’s friend, Rarity, wanted me and Tails to visit?” Sonic thought to himself. “I guess I will have to do that later.”

Part 9
The Doctor walked into a clothing store named “The Carousel Boutique”. The Doctor found the whole building very high class. He walked inside which was nice and roomy. He saw a white unicorn working on some sort of clothing. She cocked her head to greet the Doctor.
"Welcome to Carousel Boutique, where every garment is chic, unique and magnifique.” She greeted him. “I am Rarity, I will be right with---Oh dear Celestia!” she cried out when she saw the Doctor. The Doctor flinched, startled at the pony’s reaction. “That tie you are wearing… it is all wrong for you.” She critiqued.
The Doctor scowled. “Excuse me? I happen to like my Bow-Tie. Bow-Ties are cool.” He said in defense.
“Yes. Yes. But it is all wrong for you. I mean… green… really? It does nothing to compliment you,” Rarity said. “Here let me find you a much better one.” She ran in to a back room of some sort. A moment later she returned with a rather large box of assorted Bow-Ties following her and being held up by her magic. “Now let’s see what the Fabulous Rarity can find for you.”
“Wait. What’s wrong with green?” the Doctor asked. “I happen to like the colour green. It is the colour of my eyes. It is the colour of the light on my Sonic screwdriver, and there is quite a bit of green inside the—.” The Doctor’s rant was cut short by Rarity.
“But green is not complimenting you at all. Now hold still” Rarity lifted a tie and held it up in front of The Doctor to get a visual on what he would look like in it.
“This is going to be a long afternoon.” The Doctor thought.
Several hundred Bow-Ties and 45 minutes later, Rarity settled on one tie; a gray Bow-Tie with a red plaid design. The Doctor admired himself in the mirror. “Well, hello there you handsome Devil, you,” the Doctor said out loud to his reflection—and anyone else who might be listening.
Rarity had a huge smile on her face. “You look absolutely smashing.”
The Doctor admired himself a little longer until he remembered why he came in here in the first place. The Doctor straightened up and looked back over to Rarity. “I’m sorry. I almost forgot why I came in here in the first place.” He told her.
Rarity’s smile vanished and was replaced by one of business. “Yes, of course. I am terribly sorry.” She apologized. “How can I help you?”
The Doctor smiled. “I was wondering if you sold hats?” he asked.
Rarity got a look of pure delight “Why yes I do. Hats are my specialty.” She boasted. “Any hat in particular?” she asked.
“A Fez.” The Doctor said simply.
“A…Fez?” Rarity asked in disbelief. “Are you sure?”
“Yes, a Fez. Preferably crimson with not to long of a tassel.” The Doctor commanded.
Confused, Rarity disappeared into the back room and returned a few minutes later with a clean, new fez. That Doctor smiled, delighted with his new hat. The Doctor placed the Fez on his head; looking at himself in the mirror once more.
As the Doctor admired himself, the door to the boutique flew open. Amy rushed in, panicked and breathing hard as if she had just run a great distance. “Doctor, we need your help.” She managed to gasp out between breaths.
“What’s wrong Amy?” the Doctor asked, worried now.
“Sonic and Dash were racing when a giant robot-alien thing came out of nowhere and started attacking.” Amy nearly screamed out.
The Doctor’s face got serious. Rarity was in utter shock. “Amy, I have an idea, but we need to get back to the TARDIS.” The Doctor said taking charge.
“What are we going to do Doctor?” Amy asked.
“Save this town!” he said in determination.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
“Hey, AppleJack, I need to use your Apple fields to race,” Rainbow blurted out to her orange friend selling apples in a small stand set up neatly with the other food stands in the market. Upon hearing this tone of rudeness from Rainbow Dash, AppleJack’s face turned into an annoyed scowl.
“An’ a very good mornin’ t’you too Dash.” AppleJack greeted sarcastically, upset about Rainbow’s sudden demand.
“Dash could have found a much more polite way to ask.” Sonic thought to himself. Sonic remembered seeing this pony last time. He did not get a chance to introduce himself.
“Hey yer’ that feller who saved mah farm awhile back.” AppleJack exclaimed when she noticed Sonic. “Ah don’t believe we had the pleasure of meetin’, the names AppleJack.” The pony greeted Sonic, taking his hand and shaking it violently.
Once Sonic got his hand back he introduced himself. “I’m Sonic. Sonic the Hedgehog and this is my friend, Tails.” He stepped aside to reveal his fox friend. Tails just smiled and gave a small two finger salute.
“If y’all want to race on mah farm, go ahead.” AppleJack said cheerfully. “Y’all saved the apples from them creatures anyhow.” She gave a small smile and turn away for a second to help a customer. Sonic had noticed that Pinkie Pie had disappeared. AppleJack turned back to her group of friends. “Rainbow, y’all should know were the field is, and please, don’t make a mess.” She warned, looking at Dash intently as she said that last part.
Sonic and Rainbow walked back across the road to where Fluttershy, Amy and Rory were waiting. “Okay, we have a place to race now.” Rainbow announced as she approached.
“What happened to your pink friend? I’m sorry, what was her name?” Rory asked. He looked up and down the streets but Sonic doubted he would be able to spot her with all the other multi-colored, pastel ponies walking around and obstructing their view.
“Pinkie Pie? Who knows? She runs off from time to time to do…well, whatever it is that Pinkie Pie does.” Rainbow explained, hovering in the air. “Come on let’s not waste any time, let’s go pick up Twilight and get the race started.” Rainbow stated impatiently.
The group walked through the town, stopped at the library to pick up Twilight and Spike, Twilight’s number one assistant, and headed out of the town to sweet Appleacres. It was a good day for a race. The sky was clear but it was not too hot. Everything seemed to just be singing life, color and beauty. “This is the kind of day for an adventure!” Sonic thought.
As the group walked on Apple trees began to spring up. Gradually more and more Apple trees lined the side of the path. In the distance, the path lead up to a two story house and barn, but before Sonic could see what else was at the end of the path the group veered into an opening in the trees. The sight of so many Apple trees was just as amazing as the last time Sonic saw it. “I’ve never seen so many Apple trees in one place before, have you Rory?” Amy asked, her eyes were wide and a small smile on her face.
Rory shook his head and looked at Amy. “No I haven’t. It is just marvelous” He answered. “But I bet the Doctor wouldn’t think it was though.”
Amy got a silly grin on her face. “, Because apples are rubbish.” She imitated the Doctor’s voice. Both Amy and Rory began cracking up at the inside joke.
Just seeing the two ponies laugh and have a good time brought a smile to Sonic face. Then Sonic remembered that soon he would have to say good bye to them, possibly forever. Would he ever see them again after they left? Sonic thought on this, not noticing that other ponies were walking by the group. It was only when a brown stallion with a gray and dark red stripped mullet bummed up agents Sonic. “Oh excuse me.” The Pony said in a deep yet surprised voice, and then trotted ahead.
“It’s okay…huh?” Sonic was suddenly aware of the crowd of ponies up ahead. “What’s all this? What’s going on?” He asked as they all approached.
Rainbow Dash was just as confused as Sonic.” I guess they are all here to watch us race.” Dash guessed. The path opened up to a large area. Hey bales lined out the track that Rainbow and Sonic would be racing on. There was a checkered Starting line in the middle of the track.
Up ahead Sonic saw the familiar pink pony, Pinkie Pie, putting up a large banner with the shape of Sonic and Rainbow’s heads on it. “Pinkie did you do all this?” Twilight asked Pinkie when they walked up to her.
Pinkie grinned in accomplishment. “Yupper Depper Doo! I sure did.” She sang out.
“This…this is just amazing.” Rory was mystified.
“How did you do all this?” Amy asked.
Pinkie bounced around the small group as she explained. “Well, when I heard AppleJack give us permission to use this place as a race track I got a brilliant idea. Why not invite the whole town out to see the race. So with the help of a few ponies, I got the race track all set up and invited every pony and told them to invite their friends, and invite their friend’s friends. So I have been here all day getting the whole thing set up.” Pinkie grinned an I’m- so- clever kind of grin when she finished her explanation.
Spike, the small purple dragon with green spikes, climbed off Twilight who he was riding and walked up to Pinkie Pie. “Hey Pinkie, can I co-announce the race with you?” he asked, hope in his voice and eyes.
Pinkie kept her silly grin. “Sure. Why not?” she answered
Spike got a huge smile on his face and exclaimed “Yes!”
Pinkie and spike walked across the field to a big pink hot air balloon Sonic did not notice before. The balloon had large speakers around the basket. Pinkie and spike got in to the balloon and picked up microphones that Sonic guessed were attached to the speakers. “Hello everypony,” Pinkie’s voice blasted out of the speakers. A few ponies standing close jumped in surprise. Rubbing their ears to sooth them from the blasting of the speakers. “And welcome to the most super, awesome and spectacular race of the year. Announcing with me today is my good friend Spike.” The balloon began to rise into the air and over the track as Pinkie said this
Hello, Pinkie.” He introduced himself. “And today seems to be a fine day for racing, don’t you agree?” Spikes Amplified voice asked.
“Why yes it is.” Pinkie agreed. “Today’s race is going to be a very interesting one, though. Racer number one is Ponyville’s own Rainbow Dash.” She announced.
“Rainbow Dash refers to herself as the fastest flier in all of Equestria. She has proven that statement time and time again.” Spike continuing Pinkie’s follow up. “She as preformed the Sonic Rainboom, a trick many thought to be impossible, just proving to the world that with her the impossible is always possible.” He explained.
“Her challenger, Sonic the Hedgehog, is a friend of ours from another world. Ooohhhh…spooky.” Pinkie changed her tone to sound spookier. “Sonic is not a pony however, shocking, I know. He is in fact a blue hedgehog.” She went on. “Isn’t that the most amazing thing you have ever heard of in your entire life?” Pinkie stopped for a brief moment noticing that she was getting a bit off track. “Sonic refers himself to as “The Fastest Thing Alive.” Can he prove it today or is Rainbow Dash the only living thing that can surpass him. Today we will find that out.”
Amy, Rory, Twilight and Fluttershy had walked over to the crowed to watch the Race. Sonic And Rainbow began to ready themselves. Sonic Stretched out his legs, arms, and torso, he then began to warm up with a few jumping Jacks, pushups and sit up exercises. Rainbow on the other hand, cracked her bones. Her leg bones first, then her wings, and finally her neck. This made Sonic cringe. She then began to do pushups with her wings. After a couple pushups she leaped up in the air and did a few flips and twists in the air then landed to do more pushups. She repeated this process.
“If the Racers are ready we can begin.” Spike’s voice bellowed out from up in air. Sonic and Dash took their places at the starting line.
“This most certainly will be the match of the century and sparks will fly.” Pinkie commented. “And speaking of sparks I remember this one Movie I saw once.” Pinkie then started babbling on. ‘The hero had data that was supposed to be a secret but the bad guys found out and went after this pony. Any way they trapped him on top of this tall building in Chicoltgo and all hope seemed lost but then the hero pulled out the ninja swords he had and jumped off, scraping the side of the building with his swords as he fell. Sparks flew from his swords and hit the ninja Pegasus that were after him. He then pulled out his grappling hook and—.”
“Pinkie we need to start the race.” Spike cut Pinkie’s story short. Sonic was a bit confused how anyone could so distracted and ramble on and on about something. He regained his focus. “Now, this will be a seven lap race.” Spike informed. “Racers take you mark.” Sonic and Dash bent down in a ready stance.
“GET SET!” Pinkie said. Sonic and Dash coiled back, ready for the starting signal.
“GO!” the two announcers said at the same time. A starting gun went off and Sonic and dash, in a flurry color, dashed forward.
“You want a real race dash” Sonic thought. “Then just try and keep up.”

Part 10
“And they are off!” Pinkie announced as the two racers sped off. Twilight watched as her two friends raced down the track. Rainbow used her speed flying, while Sonic ran. She had to admit they both were really fast. She saw that Sonic was leaving a short translucent blue trail in his wake, rainbow on the other hoof was not.
“It looks like Rainbow dash is pulling ahead.” Spike commentated. “But wait Sonic doesn’t seem too worried. What do you think he is up to, Pinkie?” Spike asked his co-announcer.
“Maybe he is conserving his energy, but why would he fall so far behind?” Pinkie answered. Pinkie was right; Sonic was falling way too far behind. “At this rate Rainbow will be overlapping him in no time.” Pinkie observed.
“Wait, hold the phone Pinkie,” Spike said.
“What phone? I don’t have a phone.” Pinkie answered.
“Just look Pinkie, Sonic is doing something.” Spike told Pinkie.
From were Twilight was she noticed it to, Sonic straitened his head and back, put his hands behind himself and started to accelerate. The blue trails grew more solid and longer. The strangest part was that was his legs. They when from a running potion to just a circular blur.
“What’s Sonic doing?” Twilight asked herself out loud.
“That’s his smooth speed up run.” She heard Tails answerer her question. “He runs at a constant pace that he can conserve energy but run faster” Tails Explained.
“So basically he is making his feet one big wheel.” Amy guessed.
“Well…basically, ya.” Tails confirmed.
“It looks like Sonic is catching up Dash.” Spike updated the crowd of spectators.
The ponies roared in cheers. Some yelling “Go, Rainbow Dash, Go!” and others cheering. “Run Sonic, you can beat her!”
“It looks like we don’t have any crowed favorite here today folks.” Pinkie informed, but if Dashie wants to win this thing she will have to kick it up a notch or two.”
“Well we know one thing, Pinkie,” Spike said. “This is going to be one interesting race.
“Wow! He’s fast” Rainbow thought as she flew down the designated race track. She stole a quick peek behind her and saw Sonic speeding up, faster and faster in a matter of seconds he would pass her and be in the lead. Sonic then zoomed past her. Dash noticed that Sonic game a small wink that seemed to say “Good job, but better luck next time.” Dash frowned at the thought. “Okay, no more holding back time to race for real!” she sped up even faster and soon Sonic began to getting closer and closer.
“WOW! Look at dash go!” she heard Pinkie comment over the speaker system. This made Dash feel more confidant and soon she was about to pass Sonic.
Sonic didn’t seem to see Dash catch up. Dash slowed just slightly enough to stay even with Sonic. She gave an audible cough to get his attention. Sonic glanced over and dash wished she had a camera to capture the shocked expression on his face. “So, you have gotten faster.” Sonic said to Rainbow Dash, looking forward again. Before dash could answer they turned a corner. Dash maneuvered it with ease, Sonic however turned it by skidding his feet on the ground and drifting the outside corner of the turn. This gave dash a huge leap in the race.
“And it looks like that turn gave dash a huge jump in this race.” Spike announced. “Do you think Sonic will be able to catch up?” he asked his co-commentator.
“I don’t know, but if that happens every time Sonic hits that turn then Dash will have this wrapped up in the bag.” Pinkie Answered. “Looks like the first lap is coming to a close. We are now getting into the Second.
Dash rushed over the mark that signified the completion of lap one. “Only four more laps to—What the Hey?” her thoughts of victory were cut short when a flash of blue rushed past her. It was Sonic and he was running fast, really fast.
There was a loud roar of cheering coming from the stands as Sonic sped by. “Holy cow, look at that Sonic go.” Spike said. “How fast do you think he is going?” he asked Pinkie Pie.
“I would say he is about to break the sound barrier.” She answered.
“What? Is that possible?” Dash thought. She was getting worried that she might lose. “Only one thing to do,” She said out loud. She took a quick gulp, and slowly accelerated forward. “, Gotta go faster.” She thought.
“Look Spike. Dash is speeding up.” Dash and Sonic were going so fast that the second lap was already done and they were half way through the third. Dash was now right behind Sonic and an air pocket was forming around both of them.
“Faster, Faster, Faster.” She thought. The pocket of air was now cone shaped around her and with one last push, BOOM!, a double explosion of sound and color erupted and the third lap was finished.
“A Sonic Rainboom!” Pinkie and spike both said in a mix of excitement and amazement. Sonic and Dash had both pulled off a Sonic Rainboom at the same time and the end of the forth lap was in sight.
The rush of a double Sonic boom was exhilarating to Sonic as he and Dash pushed past the sound barrier. Sonic saw that Rainbow Dash was leaving a rainbow trail behind her, just like his blue streak. “She sure is something special.” Sonic thought.
As soon as the burst of speed happened is stopped and the end of the race was in sight. Those last two laps went by in a blur, and the final lap was about to crown the winner.
“Aaahhh!” Sonic heard a scream in the crowed. Sonic and Dash both turned their heads to see caused the scream. What Sonic saw, almost gave him a heart attack. There, coming out of the thick of the Apple orchard, was a large Metal robot. It was looked like a very large egg-pawn, except with four arms, jets on it back, large wristbands that most likely held an assortment of weapons, and a Roman looking helmet. It was gray all over except for it joints which were a swirling black color, and some sort of insignia on its helmet. Sonic could swear he had seen that design somewhere before but had no clue were.
Sonic and Dash veered off the track, not caring to finish the race, to stop the Beast. “What is this thing?” Twilight yelled over to Sonic and Dash.
Pinkie Pie and Spike were sill Floating in the balloon. “Everypony, stay calm and evacuate the area.” Spike was trying to calmly order the crowd.
Sonic was doing his best to help the evacuation of the ponies as the metal monster made his way to where they all were. Fluttershy had long since flown off in fright Sonic had noticed. He turned back to the friends that were still trying to help the evacuation. “Tails, Amy, Rory. Help everyone to safety.” He commanded his friends. “Dash, Twilight can you help me stop that thing?”
Twilight was in a panic. “Help you? What is that thing?” She asked in a very scared and worried tone. The metal monstrosity was only 10 yards away; luckily a majority of the crowd had already left.
“That’s a robot made by a guy named Dr. Robotnik, but we call him Eggman.” Tails explained. “That looks like his “Egg Bateleur” but with an extra set of arms.”
“And what’s with that black paint job on all its joints?” Sonic asked. Tails just shrugged his shoulders.
“Wait Amy, where are you going?” Sonic heard Rory yell out. Sonic looked and saw that Amy was running through the crowd of Ponies.
Amy looked back. “To find the Doctor. He can help us.” She tuned forward and ran on.
“Alright Tails, Rory you help the ponies back in to town. We can handle things here.” Sonic said.
Tails and Rory both nodded. “Got it, be safe Sonic.” Tails said.
“I will.” He answered. “Alright team. LET’S DO IT TO IT!”

Part 11
“Doctor, where are we going?” Amy asked as she, the Doctor and Rarity, ran through the town. A large mass of ponies were running into town.
“We have to get to the TARDIS. It should be operational by now.” The Doctor explained. They tuned on the path that the Doctor remembered went up to Fluttershy’s Cottage were the TARDIS was.
“But what if we are too late?” Amy asked, panting hard from running so much.
“Amy, it’s a time machine, remember?” the Doctor said. Fluttershy’s cottage was in view and the Doctor could barely make out the blue of his TARDIS. “There it is.” He exclaimed. “All we do is set it to just after you left.”
“Excuse me.” Rarity huffed, stopping the Doctor and Amy. “Just who are you and what are you talking about?” Rarity had a deep frown on her face and it was clear to the Doctor that she would not move or let them move until she got answers.
The Doctor let out a huff. “I’m the Doctor. This is my companion Amy Pond.” He explained quickly. “We come from somewhere else but we crashed here when my space ship went haywire.” There, is that enough? Because and explain the rest in side my TARDIS.” The Doctor was feeling very anxious.
The frown of Rarity’s face was a lot less deep but still there. “That will have to do for now. But I expect a full explanation later.” She flipped her mane. “Now Doctor, please, carry on.
The Doctor, Amy, And Rarity ran up to the Blue Police box. “Alright, everyone into the TARDIS now. We haven’t got much time.” The Doctor panted out.
“You expect all to fit in there?” Rarity asked surprised.
Amy just let out an annoyed sigh. “Oh come on, we don’t have time for this.” She said as she pushed the White unicorn into the TARDIS. The Doctor followed suit.
Rarity was Standing in the console room shocked at what she was seeing, her mouth agape. “I-It’s, It’s bigger—.” She started to say but then cut off by the Doctor.
“Usually I love this part when they say “Bigger on the inside.” But right now is not the best time.” The Doctor said as he rushed up to the controls. “Now let’s set this baby to were the danger is ten minutes ago.” The Doctor said. “Now Amy, where are they?” he asked.
“In an Apple orchard.” Amy answered.
The Doctor face palmed. “Or for all in case and purposes, “Face-hoof.” The Doctor corrected in his mind. “You need to be more specific than that.” The Doctor groaned. “You know what never mind, I can find them myself.” The Doctor turned back to the console and, with the best he could manage with his hooves, he pulled a switch and the TARDIS shook.
“Are you sure she can manage time travel?” Amy asked as the Doctor began flipping switches and pushing buttons.
“Of course I’m sure, well I’m pretty sure.” The Doctor said uncertainly. Amy just stared at him unimpressed. “Alright I’m not sure completely but I know she can pull through for us.
The TARDIS rocked and shock all about. The screams of Rarity were starting to get on the Doctors nerves but, he tried to ignore it. “Get me off this Crazy thing?” She yelled. Just then the TARDIS stopped and the Doctor put on a pleased smile.
“Alright, now everyone out, out, out.” He said as he signaled for the other two to fallow him out. The doors opened up with a CRRRREAK and the Doctor stopped dead in his tracks as he saw a large metal robot making its way towered the group of Sonic, Twilight Sparkle, and Rainbow Dash.
“Doctor!” Twilight called over to him. The Doctor, Amy, and Rarity moved closer to the group. “Where did you come from?” Twilight asked. “Amy you only left a minuet ago how did you get here so fast?”
The Doctor decided to answer for Amy. “My TARDIS is a time machine, remember.” Twilight nodded.
“Doctor what are we going to do?” Amy asked worried. “And where’s Rory?” she swiveled her head to look for her husband.
“It’s alright. He and Tails are helping evacuate the ponies to safety.” Twilight reassured.
The Doctor took out his Sonic Screwdriver and waved in the direction of the large monster, and then he examined the tip of the Screwdriver. “Okay. I have good news and I have bad news.” The Doctor announced. Sonic and Dash came up to join the group.
“I don’t know if you noticed but there is a huge monster about kill us!” Dash blurted out to the group. “Come on let turn that thing into scrap metal.” She turned to fly at the giant robot.
“Wait” The Doctor said stopping rainbow dash.
Dash groaned and rolled her eyes. “What is it?” she asked impatiently.
“That thing has a field around it that will keep it safe from any attack.” The Doctor explained.
“Like A force field?” Twilight asked.
The Doctor nodded his head. “Precisely.”
“Then how do we stop it?” Rainbow asked.
“Now that’s the good news.” The Doctor took a step towered the TARDIS then turned to face everyone. “The force field protecting it is being projected from somewhere else. But I can use the TARDIS to jam the signal and redirect it to the TARDIS itself.” The Doctor was quite pleased with himself for being so clever. “Now I will need some time. Can you distract it for me?” the Doctor asked.
“You need a distraction? You got it!” Rainbow nudged Sonic indicating she has a plan. “Hey Sonic, let keep those arms of his busy with a game of superSonic tag. What do you say” Dash asked Sonic with a mischievous grin.”
Sonic put on the same sort of grin and turned towered the robot which was now only a few yards away. “You’re on!” he cried. Sonic and rainbow Dash, dashed around the opposite sides of the robot. The robot tuned around to take chase at Sonic and Rainbow Dash.
The Doctor was pleased and looked back at the four ponies still in the group. “Now I will need about three minutes to jam the broadcasting signal. Twilight I need you to help distract the monster, do you have any projectile…magic?” The Doctor asked.
“I have an energy blast that might do the trick.” Twilight informed.
The Doctor nodded his head and then turned to Amy and Rarity. “Now you two, I will need your help back in the TARDIS.” The Doctor motioned to the two to follow him. Rarity stayed put.
“If you think that for minuet I will go back into that…that thing, then you are sorely mistaken.” Rarity warned the Doctor.
Amy got a scowl on her face. “Now looky here missy, if there is one thing I have learned from the Doctor then it’s that ,When the Doctor has a plan and needs your help, then you very darn well help.” Amy scolded Rarity.
“Rarity they need your help, we need your help, I need your help.” Twilight reasoned with her.
“Fine, I Will help if it means it will stop that horrid beast.” Rarity consented.
“Great, now come along pond and Ms. Rarity.” The Doctor said as he walked back into the TARDIS.
Sonic ran around the Egg Bateleur, occasionally jumping in the air to knock it back but it was fruitless. “This clearly is not working.” Dash yelled to Sonic as she cracked her hoofs down on the top of it head. Dash then recoiled in pain, rubbing her hoofs to sooth them.
“You think.” Sonic called back sarcastically, as he sidestepped a punch from the robot fiend. “It’s those arms of his. If we could tie them up then we may stand a better chance.” Sonic said. He jumped in the air and landed on top of the robot head. The robot raised his arm to smack Sonic off. At the last second Sonic jumped off and the Robot ended up punching itself in the head.
Rainbow was showing signs of exhaustion and Sonic could feel it set in on him as well. “I don’t think I will be able to keep this up much…more?” Rainbow stopped as a bolt of purple light shot by and hit the robot square on the forehead.
“You guys need help?” Twilight asked as she readied herself to fire another energy shot. Sonic was relieved to have some more help.
“When is the Doctor going to jam up that force field or whatever?” Dash asked when Twilight shot another bolt of energy at the robot.
“He will be ready in just a minute. We need to keep it bust until then.” Twilight answered. “How are you holding up?”
“Not too well.” Sonic told her. “It like with every hit it takes our energy away.”
Twilight shot another bolt of energy. The robot staggered but looked unharmed. Sonic curled into his spin dash and pounded away on the robot, which did next to nothing as well. “Stand back. I have an idea.” Rainbow said as she began to circle the robot. She went faster and faster until a whirlwind was created. The whirlwind soon turned in to a mini tornado. The robot seemed un-phased by this and just batted Dash away. “Ouch! That’s smart.” Rainbow groaned as she picked herself up off the ground.
“Twilight, Darling,” Sonic heard Rarity’s voice call Twilight. “the Doctor gave me a message to give to you.”
“What is it?” Twilight asked.
“GERONIMO” Rarity called out. Suddenly the robot sparked and a hexagonal force around the robot appeared and then dissolved away.
“Okay, now the playing field has been leveled.” Sonic called out. “Let’s get him.”
“Charge!” Dash cried as she and Sonic raced towered the robot. Sonic jumped into the Air and curled into a ball and began to bash into the robot repeatedly causing major damage to it. Twilight hit the robot repeatedly in the helmet with her energy shots. Rainbow bucked at the joints of the robot. “Sonic, I have an idea. Grab on.” Rainbow offered her hooves for Sonic to take hold of.
“Okay, I get ya.” Sonic said as he took old of Dash’s hooves. Dash flew strait up into the air. She flew high, very high. So high in fact Sonic could see the other side of Ponyville in the distance. Dash then began looping in the air.
Faster and faster, rainbow looped and then with a mighty heave, tossed Sonic at high speeds strait down at the Robot. Sonic was ready and flew strait at the robot. Sonic curled in to a ball and with a SLASH Ripped right through the damaged monster.
Sonic crashed in to the ground creating a small crater in the ground. Surprisingly, Sonic was unhurt from the impact, the impact; however, was so great that the robot was reduced to scrap metal. Sonic crawled out of his crater brushing himself off. When he looked around Sonic was relieved. “We did it.” He thought to himself. “We saved the day”

Part 12
“You really have to leave?” Twilight asked the Doctor as he and his companions got ready to leave. Thanks to the efforts of everyone Twilight was able to clean up the clearing of the destroyed robot and the mess of the race that was never finished. Pinkie, spike, Fluttershy, Rory, and Tails had rejoined the group when they helped all the ponies back into town.
“I’m afraid so.” The Doctor said downheartedly. “And this is one way ticket I’m afraid.”
Twilight was sad about her new friends leaving. “So that means no coming back to visit?” Twilight asked, tears forming in her eyes because she already knew the answer.
“Us coming here was pure accidental.” The Doctor explained. “I have modified the TARDIS to not be able to pick up the energy of your Chaos Emeralds. Once we leave, we will never see you again.”
“And I’m afraid that once we leave, we may never be able to see each other either.” Tails informed. Twilight couldn’t hold it back any longer, she started to cry.
“Hey, cheer up.” Sonic told Twilight. “Remember what our friend Sora said.”
Twilight thought back to what her other friend, Sora, had told her and Sonic last time he was here. “You mean that we won’t really be apart as long as we remember each other?” Twilight asked.
Sonic nodded and smiled. He put his hand under Twilights chin and gently tilled it up so that she was looking at Sonic. “No crying, No tears. The future holds so many adventures, As long as you don’t brood on the troubles of the past.” Twilight smiled she knew Sonic was right. “You’re always with me, all of you, because you’re in my heart.” Sonic said, putting his hand over his heart.
“Hey, I just have one question, how did that Robot get here?” Rainbow piped up.
Tails turned to the blue Pegasus. “I think it was just a casualty, the Emerald must have picked it up and plopped down here, It being so powerful and all.” Tails explained to her.
“So we don’t need to worry about any more Giant monsters coming out to kill us?” Rainbow asked.
“Nope. Once we leave the Emerald should pick up anything that it took from our world and put it back to where it was.” Tails reassured her.
“Anyway, I guess this is good bye then Doctor, Amy, Rory?” Twilight turned her attention back to the Doctor.
“Yes I guess it is.” The Doctor agreed sadly. ‘Thank you Twilight, thanks all of you.” The Doctor said. “Good bye Twilight, we will never ever forget you. Come along Sonic, Tails.” He said to Sonic. As Sonic turned to leave he turned slightly back to look at Twilight and gave her a wink and thumbs up, then disappeared in to the TARDIS.
The ponies had departed back to Ponyville and Tails was helping the Doctor figure out how to use the Emerald to open the wall that separates all the worlds. “Are we going soon?” Sonic complained. “I thought we were supposed to leave a half hour ago.”
“Well I’m sorry but universe hopping isn’t as easy for the TARDIS to do when we are trying to make her do it.” The Doctor called back to Sonic. “Aha! That did it. She’s ready to jump to your world then use the last of the Chaos Energy to take us to ours.” The Doctor explained in victory.
“Finally, Let’s get this show on the—.” Sonic stopped mid-sentence when a Rapped pounding came from the TARDIS door.
“Now who could that be?” the Doctor asked. “Well we best find out.” Sonic ran to the front door of the TARDIS.
Sonic opened the door to reveal a panic stricken Rainbow Dash on the other side. “Dash what wrong?” Sonic asked confused.
“I’m so glad I caught you before you left.” Rainbow was nearly crying. “There are more of them!” she blurted out.
“Huh? More of what?” Sonic asked. He was starting to get worried.
“Those Robots! They just appeared out of thin air and started attacking the town.” Rainbow told him in a panic.
Sonic’s turned to pure horror “WHAT? Tails come one our jobs not—.”
“Sonic wait.” The Doctor interrupted him. “There is a very little window and according to the TARDIS, if we don’t leave in the Next three minutes and 29 seconds we might be stuck here forever. And if we leave then we will never be able to come back.”
“If Eggman’s robots are attacking this place then that means there is going to be Trouble.” Sonic said with worry in his voice. “I’m sorry Doctor but you will just have to go back to your world and leave us behind. I’m sure we will find a way back to our world.”
The Doctor understood and nodded his head. He disconnected the Emerald from the TARDIS and tossed it down to Sonic. Sonic caught with a sweep of his arm. “Good bye Sonic. It was very nice to meet you.” The Doctor said.
“Safe ride home Doctor.” Sonic called back. Sonic and Tails exited the TARDIS and watched as it went VWOORP, VROORP, VWOORP and began to disappear. When the TARDIS vanished completely Sonic turned to the other two. “Okay Tails, dash. It looks like there a party we better go and not be late.” Sonic said with a determined smile on his face. “LET’S DO IT TO IT!”
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
“I must admit, I did not expect a biological change upon coming here.” Eggman said as he walked through a statue garden. He had changed in to a red pony, his red brown mustache stayed on his face and he had no mane. His Tail was the same color as his mustache. And he had an image in his flank it was the symbol of the egg-empire. He believed his voice friend called it a “cutie mark”.
“Eggman glad to see you had a safe trip, but we have a small problem.” The voice came to Eggman.
“Oh, and what is it?” Eggman asked a Friendly challenge in his tone.
“Your “Dark Egg Super Bateleur” has been defeated by that hedgehog you mentioned.” he Reported.
Eggman smiled evilly. “So Sonic is here.” Eggman said through his grin.
“But the plan failed. Why are you happy?” the voice asked Eggman, confused.
“Because that was the distraction,” he said. He lifted the watch that was on his forearm up and pushed a button that was on it. “This is.” he announced. Suddenly Heartless-egg-bots appeared all over. “My army is now all over this kingdom and anywere else there is a civilization.”
“A plan that was in a plan? Clever, Eggman, Very clever.” The Voice congratulated. “Now that I help you with you part of the deal, you have to help me.” The Voice reminded Eggman.
“But of course. I’m nothing if not a man of my word…well at least if it benefits me in the end.” Eggman told the voice giving a small awkward bow in his new pony form.
“Good, now see that statue over there at the end of the garden?” the Voice directed Eggman to the center of the garden. All there was, was a statue of a creature. It had a dragons head and body shape but had the arm of a lion’s paw, and the arm of an eagles talon, it had two very different horns that Eggman did not even want to know which animal they came from, two different wings and one hoofed leg and one clawed leg. “Just put the Emeralds around the Statue.” He informed Eggman.
Eggman took out the three Emeralds and place them at the pedestal of the statue. “Like this?” he asked. There was no reply, instead the Emeralds began to glow and a ray of light shot out of all three of them and connected at one point on the statue. The statue began to crack. The cracks got bigger, until chunks of the statue fell off. Then the whole thing crumbled to dust. When the dust cleared Eggman saw the living creature that the statue was representing.
It spoke to Eggman, it being the source of the Voice that has been with Eggman this whole time. “Hello Eggman,” it said. “I am Discord god of Chaos. It is very nice to meet you finally.”
“So you’re the one who has helped me through this whole ordeal?” Eggman asked.
“Yes I am,” He answered. “And I believe this is the beginning of a beautiful partnership.”
