Shenanigan Again
A horrendous crash echoed down the streets of Ponyville.
“Where did he go?” Twilight Sparkle shouted.
"Over there!” Fluttershy called as the two of them raced after something resembling a featherless chicken, meanwhile, Mrs Cake come up to the sun goddess.
"More tea Princess Celestia?" She asked looking after the chase, rather curious as to why the Princess had asked for the tea party to be moved outside with all that was going on.
“Thank you, Mrs Cake, that would be lovely.” Celestia nodded before glancing to the others at the table. Rarity and Applejack were watching their friends chase after Philomena with a bit of worry. Pinkie Pie seemed to be enjoying it and Rainbow Dash was too focused on all the food to notice much else. Spike and Applebloom, however, we're both excited over the food and the Princess being there. The lion cub, however, sitting next to the princess with something on top of his head.
She snickers a little. "Mind telling me why are you wearing a top hat?"
"Sis mention me to show impressions to you, Celestia." He replied, sipping the warm tea. "And I have to say, I look pawesome! I also manage to get a job as well!"
"Should expect that from you, when you got it?"
"Just last week, Wave say he needs to make some adjustments for me and he doesn't like it. So it gonna take a while for me to start working."
"How did she get up there?!" Twilight shouted from a street over.
"I'm not sure, oh Philomena is careful there's a beehive near..... oh dear....." Fluttershy said surprisingly loudly.
The unicorn and pegasus yelled as there been chased by a swarm of bee after the hive been destroyed from the falling, slowly followed by the plucked chicken wobbling after them.
"I never know you have Phoenix as a pet? That's the rarest of all." Leo said calmly as he looking at the cause of shenanigans while Celestia we're surprised.
"Y-you knew my pet?"
"Yes and no, I read some of their species on the book at the Canterlot Library, and yes, I do attempt to go there when I'm bored just to find a book that has information about that bird." He explained.
"Was in ultimately bored to death or..."
"I'm just doing something new for that time, okay?"
"Alright, then tell me about Philomena," Celestia said, the cub answer.
"Philomena is Phoenix, a majestic and magical bird but in this form, she in state of rebirth itself by shedding all of this feather. Therefore, she will raise from ash, it just a life cycle of Phoenix that's all."
"Since when you're a bookworm now, Leo?" Rainbow Dash teased.
"Hey, it's not my fault. Sis always reading so she kinda drags me into those."
The cyan pegasus just raspberry. "Yeah, right. But aren't you gonna help Twilight by now?"
"I was gonna assist her catching Philomena, but c'mon, Rainbow! Look at this!" Leo gestured all of the tasty desserts from the table thanks to the Cakes and Spike for making it. "A delicious of cupcake and pie and sugar and everything that made from the Sugarcube Corner itself! I can't miss this opportunity!"
With that he shoves a cupcake into his mouth, some of the creams stuck on his whisker, even his noise as well.
"AHHHHHHHHH!" Twilight screamed out, galloping down the street pursuit followed by a swarm of snakes. The bird was chasing after the snakes with Fluttershy chasing after the bird.
“Snakes. Why'd it have to be snakes!?”
“So she's not sick?” Rarity piped up.
“No, she's simply close to rebirth like Leo says. She's also quite the prankster so that's why she doing this to her liking.” Celestia added taking a sip f tea.
"Prankster huh?" Leo said. "Funny, I guessed that happen to me too, you know."
"Pardon?"
"Celestia... I was having this weird hallucination, I can hear a mysterious voice that inside my head..."
Hearing this from the golden lion makes the princess getting her concern back. For she needs to play normally. "Oh? When did this happen?"
"At the bright of the castle of the two sisters, when me, sis and the other when there to find the Elements of Harmony. Rainbow Dash having a problem from the other side of the bright so I was about to use my Wind Element only to hear a female voice calling for me to stop. The voice was pretty sure was mature it seems. And that's not all, at the Weather Factory, I went to the restricted room just find a black cylinder tank."
"A tank?" Celestia puzzled.
"You went to the forbidden room?!" While Rainbow just shouts at next to him.
"Ah! Hey, I can't help. My Lightning Element reacted to this as if there was a connection between the Red Lightning."
"Red Lightning?" Both the goddess and the athlete said.
"Yeah. That was it content I guess, I know this by looking a clipboard."
'Red Lightning and Lightning Element...' Thought of Celestia. 'It does have a connection since there are indeed made of lightning, and he says about two voice unknown coming from his head... I need to examine that inside of the tank.'
Twilight and Fluttershy ran like their life depending on it as a herd of buffalo stampeded behind him, Philomena riding on the back of one of them wearing a cowboy hat.
“So are we just gonna watch this?” Applejack, who was there this all-time asked as another crash sounded further down the street.
"Huh? Oh, well, I do have a few of my Guards making sure the damage is minimal.” Celestia explained." And to keep the rest of the civilians out of the path."
"I think a Guard presence is just making things more hectic for them." Rarity also there as she sighed.
"Ah HAH!" Fluttershy lunged, catching Philomena in her hooves skidding across the ground to a stop before the tea party. "You need bed rest, not to be running around like this!"
Philomena blinked as her last feather popped loose and she poofed into a pile of ash in Fluttershy's hooves with a last defeated squawk while Twilight screamed, the shy pegasus simply stared at the pile of ash in her hooves before started bawling.
"What?!" Applejack questioned.
"Oh, dear." Rarity frowned.
"Not cool." Rainbow Dash stated.
"Joke. End. Now." Pinkie Pie ordered.
Princess Celestia turned to look at the others her eyes widening at the looks they were giving her.
Applejack was the least annoyed-looking one and even she seemed to be considering if she could get away with bucking Celestia across Ponyville.
Rarity was mad, though she had a cool glare directed at the Princess, one that reminded Celestia of Luna when she was pissed. Something that never turned out well for the Solar Goddess.
Rainbow Dash was mad and like Applejack seemed to be considering trying to play punt the Princess.
And Pinkie Pie.... well, let just say there was a reason why Princess Celestia quickly got up and trotted over to the crying Fluttershy as fast as she could. While she doubted even the Element of Laughter could do anything to harm her, the look Pinkie was giving spoke of being more to try everything to find out if it was possible.
She doubted pointing out that Fluttershy had foal napped Philomena first would have calmed the mare down.
"What is going on here?" Celestia asked the group around the pile of ash.
She hadn't expected such quick responses from them, though to have both tries and accept the blame suddenly for Philomena's demise, practically pushing past each other and attempting talk over one another was almost comical. Celestia didn't think Fluttershy had it in her, to tell the truth.
Leo, we're nowhere to be seen. If Celestia remembers, at the seat, he was sitting on just white smoke that shapes exactly like him before it vanishes in thin air, clearly don't want to get involved in this mess. Or just doesn't wanna look at his sister's friend face right now...
Without said, she addressed the pile of ash. "Philomena you can stop fooling around, they are taking the joke a little too seriously."
The pile of ash twitched and swept up into the air pulling together in a flash of brilliant light. The bird that appeared looked nothing like the half-cooked goose that they had been chasing earlier. It was a hawk-like avian with feathers made of fire, one that left a flickering trail of cinders after it as she soared above them all with an almost musical cry. With the last flap of her wings, the massive bird flew down and landed on Celestia's outstretched foreleg.
"Wha, what is that .. what happened to Philomena?" Fluttershy asked prancing around looking up at the orange and red bird that was nearly as tall as she was.
"This is Philomena." Celestia smiled. "Quite a sight isn't she? Nothing unusual for a phoenix." The bird gave a loud squawk in reply.
"A...A phoenix?" said Fluttershy in amazement.
"A phoenix is a majestic and magical bird. While it appears happy and healthy most of the time, every so often it must renew itself by shedding all of its feathers and bursting into flames." It was then Philomena took a short flight and returned to Celestia's fore-hoof. Princess Celestia then leaned over to Fluttershy before saying quietly,
"Rather melodramatic, if you ask me..." and then she pulled away, the Princess sighed as she glanced to everypony else. Most attention was on Philomena, though Pinkie Pie's eyes remained on the Celestia.
Not knowing is that Leo suddenly comes back with Spike on his back, still maintain the top hat. "So, what did we miss?"
"Ah, Leo. There you are, about the problem you have told me that I will get my best to figure it out, alright?"
"Pawesome! Thanks, Celestia." He thanked her.
"And I'm afraid mischievous little Philomena here took the occasion to have a little fun with you, Fluttershy. Say you're sorry, young lady." Philomena lowered her head and squawked what sounded like "I'm sorry" to Fluttershy, who simply smiled.
"So then, I have a few more hours before I need to get back, shall we continue the tea party? I'm sure you have several questions about Philomena."
"Oh...well if you don't mind," Fluttershy muttered.
"Not at all." Princess Celestia offered.
'Particularly if it gets Pinkie Pie to stop glaring at me' She thought to herself.
