Andrew walked to Sythe with a distant look in his eyes as if sadness and overtaken them. Luckily his sadness was hidden by the helmet that covered his face. He couldn’t believe it the one thing he had hoped to never see again was standing in that room, or so he thought.
“ I have just finished releasing most of the ice from the locking mechanism, soon will be able to exit through this doorway.“ Sythe said as she finished up on the final remaining pieces of ice.
Then Andrew started to feel the ground shake. As he felt it get closer and closer his eyes widened and he quickly grabbed Sythe and bolted away from the door. They did not get too far before the massive explosion came from the giant metal door. Andrew turned around and saw the entire door was gone and in its wake a lone bipedal creature stood.
“I...I..it’s a Warden Legion.” Andrew said as he started to back away. As he did the warden let out an ear splitting screech which made Andrew hold his hooves to the side of his head.
He noticed that it was as big as the ship outside. He pulled out his rifle and started to open fire on it, but his weapon wasn’t even making a scratch on its armored platting. Sythe noticed ice that was in between the arm of its joint with the cannon.
“Andrew! Aim for the ice between its arm joint!” Sythe shout as Andrew took aim and fire destroying the ice making the arm with the cannon fall off. As it began to fall over it immediately got back up. It’s chest plate began to shift as two smaller Warden machines that pulled weapons off their backs aimed and started to open fire. The bigger one turned around a a pair of thrusters appear on its back as it took off into the frosty air of the frozen north.
It did not take king too long to deal with the troops, but he was afraid of what and where that Warden machine was going.
“Sythe what was that?” He asked panting a little.
“Sir, that was a Legion Titan” she said as they watch it fly off until it was out of view.
Appleoosa
Braeburn looked out into the distance at the apple trees and the Buffalo that were stampeding through it. It was a beautiful day until he felt the ground rumble beneath him. He started to notice a crack in the earth as a gainer metal arm shot up from the ground scaring him off of his chair. As the metal creature came to full height it stared him down before letting out some garbled noises before more creatures similar in color, but different in size began rising from the ground.
He noticed an even bigger one rise from the ground bigger than the town hall appeared as it raised a device on its arm and pointed in a random direction before letting out a roaring screech which made the others follow.
Changeling Hive
The queen of the Changelings was laying on the ground beaten and battered. A bipedal metalic creature stood over her as it stared her down. It then turned around and walk to a wall. It raised its arm and fired. Blasting a hole in the wall. It did what it’s relatives did and flew off. Other Changelings started to rush to her aid. Offering their love to her to help with her wounds.
“Thank you my children, but I believe that this fight is one we may not win.” Chrysalis said as she too watched it fly away.
Canterlot
Celestia was receiving reports all over Equestria about metal creatures rising from the ground and causing mass panic among her subjects. She did not know what to do. For the first time if a thousand years she didn’t know what to do. But she knew somepony or rather someone who might.
Ponyville
The citizens of Ponyville were screaming in terror due to the giant metal creatures that were walking through town. King raised his paw and threw a powerful magical beam at one the beam going right through the armor making it collapse to the grass. Some of the stopped and turned and looked at him. They raised their weapons and opened fire at him. He continued to dodge the projectiles that were being shot in his direction. He noticed that there were only two of them remaining from the other ten he already fought.
He raised his paw again and shot another beam of magic at one of the machines making it stager backwards as it had dent on its armor. It got back up and raised its cannon and started to open fire again. King got an idea and jumped in between the to machines as the one that was shooting at him accidentally hit its companion.
King raised his paw once more and shot powerful bolt of dark magic at the machine and hit it where the scorch mark was making the bolt go right through it and destroying it as it fell to the ground with an earth shaking crash.
King turned around and noticed that Twilight and her friends were running towards him with worried expressions on their faces.
“King are you alright?” Twilight asked as she looked him over for any injuries.
“Yes, I’m fine. I’ve been through worse.” King said as he whispered the last part to himself.
As the main 6 let out a released sigh which confused him.
“You girls worry too much.” King said as he looked at them with a flat expression. “I can’t believe I’m saying this, but I must do something.” King said as he walked away.
“King wait!” Fluttershy asked King stopped in his tracks and turned to look at her.
“Can I come with you?” She asked.
“No Flutters you can’t. It’s too dangerous even with my power.” King lied. He was going into hiding after this more because the princesses may hunt him down.
“Please?” She begged.
“Fluttershy!” He shouted. “I was not here for long, but I know that if it wasn’t for you six, I don’t know what I would have done.” He finished. “Good-bye.” He said as he snapped his digits together; with a flash he was gone.
Canterlot Castle
Celestia had managed to calm part of Equestria by sending messengers to reassure everypony that they were working on it and devoting to finding out what in the world was going on. She was finishing the final letter and hoofed it over to a guard that was standing in front of her. With a bow the guard took off to the intended recipient.
“Celestia.” A voice rang through her head.
She quickly stood up and looked around her, trying to pinpoint the source.
“Celestia, you dip shit turn around.” The voice said. As she did she saw King standing there almost transparent.
“King!” She said with anger shooting a bolt of magic at the image, but the bolt simply going right through him.
“Seriously? I come to tell you what is happening and this is what I get? If so then I guess I’ll go.” King said as he started to walk off, but was stopped by Celestia.
“What do you want beast.” Celestia said with anger.
“I have a name you know and I will only respond to it.” He said as he gave her a flat expression.
“Fine...King what do you want?” She asked him.
“Nothing I’m here to tell you that I know what’s going on, but I can’t say it here.” King said as he studied his surroundings.
“No pony is in here so why so secret?” Celestia asked him.
“The creatures are cold The Great Legion or you should know them as, The Great Wardens.”
