Chapter 5: Another Day, One Bigger Problem

King woke up with a yawn, as he sat up and stretched his surprisingly small body. He got up and jumped from the bed he was on, but face planted into the wooden floor.

"God damn it." King said as he sat back up rubbing the side of his head. He stood up and made his way to the door.

He made his way out the door and down the stairs. towards the kitchen. as he walked down the stairs he heard singing. He went past the kitchen and trying to get to the door, but was stopped by a greeting from the yellow Pegasus.

"Oh um hi." King said him really wanting to blow this entire building up.

"Where are you going? Aren't you going to have breakfast?" Fluttershy asked. King really not wanting to, but he gave in due to his stomach betraying him. He looked down to his mid section with a flat expression on his face.

“I guess I could go do something.” He said looking to her.

“I have just the thing for you.” She said as she grabbed some herbs and other plants and put it into a bowl. Then she drizzled something all over it and slide it across the table as he sat down.

As king tasted it he had to admit for being just a salad it wasn’t that bad. King started to finish the food he was given until he felt something. As his his slowly growing happiness soon faded as he started to get a skull splitting headache. Bring his paws to his head he started screaming as he felt his magic becoming unstable. Until it stopped. King noticed Fluttershy on the floor crying.

“Fluttershy this wasn’t you.” King said which made her look up to him.

“Are you sure?” She asked him.

“Yes, but I have a feeling I know what caused it.


Badlands

Deep below the sand, dirt, and rock laid an army of slumbering creatures made of metal and gold, as also their sizes varied some being as small as a full others being being half the size of a full-grown dragon. As row upon Rome miles upon miles these metal creatures slumbered, but in their lifeless body as they dreamed, dreamed of a day they would be reawakens called to serve.

One of the machines from its hunched over state started to shift upwards as its body made metal clanking noises, as other noises were heard from inside his body. Soon ahead would flip forward from the back of his body as the singular I in the middle what flickered a life with the red glow representing its fury.

A voice spoke through the army of machines that lead in before it.

“ The Wardens well rise again, and take the rightful place upon the surface and claim all that is rightfully ours.” The Voice said it’s deep scratchy yet metal tone as a bigger machine worm like body as its size matched that of a dragon. It’s been let out and earsplitting screech as the earth above it began to rumble simulating its fury.
