Twilight felt a chill go up her body, she felt cold, very cold; her large wings draped over the ground, bruised and broken. Twilight tried to blink but her vision was blurry and she could barely see what was infront of her. Head pounding, twilight tried to remember what had happened before, that was when she realized. “Girls?!Spike!?” She yelled, jumping on her hooves suddenly, making her tumble back down with a thud. Grunting with pain she lifted her head slowly, blinking rapidly while looking down on her hooves trying to focus. While waiting for her vision to return, a memory had appeared instead.
Twilight had remembered three figures, Cozy Glow, a pink filly pegasus who turned into an alicorn by the power of Gogar’s bell. A former queen of the changelings, Chrysalis and a power stealing monster, tirek. They-they were fighting against Twilight and her friends, but then what happened?
Oh, They had threatened to rip poor Spike’s wings clear off. Twilight felt her teeth clench, they had surrendered to the three of them.
They failed… They f a i l e d….
Twilight eyes filled with tears, dripping on the ground. She was the princess of friendship; she was going to be the ruler of Equestria so why, why has she failed.
She had failed everyone, the princesses who had trusted her, her citizens who she had to protect and her friends.
HER FRIENDS!! They were with her! Were they hurt?!
Forcing herself to stand up more slowly than her last attempt, her vision cleared a bit faster. Her once pristine purple coat covered in blood, scrapes and cuts. Her mane and tail was messy and a little frizzled. Twilight’s eyes widened, seeing one of her worst possible nightmares.
Her friends laid upon the ground, umoving, cleary-
….No…. They weren't, weren’t… They have to be alive, they have to be, they have to!
Twilight limped over to the closest pony next to her, Pinkie Pie. The pink pony’s mane was deflated, her eyes wide and cloudy,her coat stained with red, Twilight looked around, all of her friends were coated in red.(Blood, it was blood, you idiot.) no, it wasn’t that, it isn’t right...Putting a hoof on Pinkie, praying to Celestia that she was breathing, well and alive but, nothing.

Twilight couldn’t- didn’t believe it, her friends were alive! She turned around and ran as fast as she could with a broken leg to all her other friends. Pinkie Pie, Applejack, Fluttershy, Rainbow Dash, Rarity, Spike, at least one, ONE! had to be alive! (Gone, they're all gone.)
Twilight heard a scream, a scream filled with all the rage, sorrow and despair one could possibly have. Her tears fell like a rushing river, trying to lift her dirty, broken wings over herself. “PLEASE COME BACK, I CAN’T DO THIS WITHOUT YOU!!” she took a breath “WAKE UP, WAKE UP, WAKE UP, PLease...Just wake up..” her voice hitched as she sobbed.
It had all been her fault, she should’ve done better, should’ve- should’ve...No… It wasn’t her fault it was “THEIRS!” Twilight roared, It hadn’t been her who had caused this, it was all those worthless, good for nothing MONSTERS! They had hurt them, they had killed them and in doing so they had sealed their fate.
Cozy, Chrysalis and Tirek are not getting away with it.
Revenge, that is all that she wants and that is all she cares about. Nothing else mattered to her, Nothing. She’ll avenge them, she will, she will never ever let them live peacefully after what they have done.
“I won’t forgive you, ever.” she rasped before exhaustion falling upon her.

Discord hadn’t seen everything but at the same time, he had. His mouth slightly ajar as he saw the ponies he had come to care so much about, dead. There was only silence as the creatures around him gathered their thoughts ‘They had come too late’ and that was the harsh truth. Discord didn’t notice when he sprinted towards the girls, breathing heavily. This was his fault and he knew it. It had been his ‘great’ idea to revive four villains and make the three of them more powerful than if they would have been left alone. Discord checked each of their pulses with his strange claws; sighing with relief when he felt twilight’s(Though faintly). His brows furrowed when he noticed Gogar’s bell lying on the ground with no sight of Cozy, Chrysalis or Tirek anywhere. Where were they? Had they ran away? Did they not realize what they were doing? Either way, they were cowards.
Discord checked over Twilight, paying no mind to the bodies around him, well tired anyways. Twilight had been hurt badly but not enough to have killed her, perhaps it was her friends who had unknowingly saved her. They had taken the brunt of the attack, that much was obvious. Discord touched his face realizing that he had been crying, his friends who had trusted him are now freezing corpses. Looking at Twilight, he made a promise to all of his lost friends.
Discord would protect Twilight no matter what.
He was sure of it, he wouldn’t take her for granted like he had before. For himself, for the princess’s and for the ones he had lost. He had to say sorry to them, each and every one of them.
Fluttershy was the first to accept him as a friend, even when he had done so much to hurt her. She still managed to show him a little kindness. It made sense, after all, she was the element of kindness, it was just in her nature. She had enjoyed spending time with him, understanding him. Her animal friends would miss her and he would too; sorry Fluttershy.
Applejack took the most time into actually trusting him and when she finally gave in, he felt as if the world had hugged him. Honest and hardworking, she let him loiter around her field talking about strange things that had nothing to do with her. It had been fun once she left go of her annoyance and anger towards him and look where that led up to. Her family without the heir to the farm and sadness of losing another family member; sorry Applejack.
Rainbow Dash was feisty but a few days and she had warmed up to him. They loved racing around and competing. A bunch of dumb things, Rainbow had even enjoyed a few of his tricks and laughed at his idiotic jokes. When he made mistakes, she had stayed loyal and trusted him despite his past, now her sonic rainboom can’t be heard or seen; sorry Rainbow Dash.
Pinkie Pie was a barrel of laughs, her bouncy nature had many times become annoying but at the end she was still there to cheer him up. She would help him play pranks on others sometimes with Rainbow Dash. She laughed and tried her hardest for Discord; to call him a friend, sorry Pinkie Pie.
Rarity hadn’t hung out a lot with him but enough so to be influenced. She had been angry at him for a long time but after that she was happy to call him friend. She had been generous enough to make dresses for him, many kinds of accessories and all hoof-made, just for him. In return he would use his powers to give her small gifts like jewels. Now she had left behind a sister because of him; sorry Rarity.
Spike, the little magic dragon who had just gotten his wings. He had been one of Discords friends along with big Mac, ones who would play their favorite game. Spike would hang out with him when the girls had to go on their missions. Now the young dragon had no more future; sorry Spike.
Then princess Twilight Sparkle, the one who had shared her magic with him. She had trusted him, that he would help and do good but he had betrayed her; sorry Twilight. She must hate him but Discord made a promise and he was going to keep it.

He was so sorry, he truly was but he had to say that he was sorry and thank you.
Picking up Gogars bell, he beamed all his lost magic back into himself and quickly gave the princess’s theirs before using his magic to gently levitate the seven best friends one could have.
Everyone’s faces were contorted with surprise, anger, fear, worry, and just about every emotion one could have into them.
Looking back they truly lost something important, the ones they had taken for granted.
