I woke up the Hospital and found Silver Whiskers sitting at my bedside nodding his head off as if he had been there all night.
“Silver Whiskers,” I said, “It’s okay, I’m awake now.”
“Oh good,” said Silver Whiskers, “when I heard what happened I came here as quick as I could.”
“Thank you…” I said.
Then I heard a knock on the door. It was my mother.
“Hello Betty,” said mom, “so we meet again finally.”
“Like I care!” I said.
“Please you must listen to me Betty,” said mom, “I’m still your mother and I deserve that respect!”
“Oh really?” I said. “Last time I checked, respect is earned and not deserved. SO who let you in anyway?”
I looked over to Silver Whiskers jaw dropped. He closed his mouth and didn’t say a word.
“Fluttershy let me in just once.” Mom said.
“Well,” I said, “only just this once, say what you need to say and get out!”
“Okay, Okay,” said mom, “listen, I want to confess…”
“Confess?” I said. “Are you pulling my leg?”
“No,” said mom, “I’m being honest!”
“Okay,” I said, “out with it!”
Mom sighed, “I didn’t think Luna would actually go through with the plan.”
“What plan?” I said.
“The plan to kill you!” Mom said.
“Like I didn’t know,” I said, “Princess Twilight told me. So, do you have anything new to tell me?”
“Well,” said mom, “that’s all I have to say.”
“Then leave!” I said. “Just leave me alone!
Then there was a knock on the door. Fluttershy looked panicked, when she saw my mother, her eyes were wide as saucers.
“Who let you in?” Fluttershy said. “How did you get past the guards?”
My mother then laughed like a psycho.
“It was easy really,” laughed mother, “your guards are weak. I knock them out with one punch to the gut.”
“But you said Fluttershy let you in.” I said.
“I can’t believe you fell for that!” Mom said. “Like I’d come here to check on you! I just wanted to see what your condition was for myself. And it looks like you got one foot in the grave! To think my plan almost worked!”
“No it didn’t thanks to me,” said Fluttershy, “and you will be tried for your crimes Mrs. Jewel.”
“Oh really?” Mom said.
“Yeah!” Fluttershy said. “You may have been able to get past the guards. But we still have security cameras.”
“You got me this time Fluttershy,” said mom, “but you have to catch me first. And sooner or later Betty, I am going to kill you!”
“I accept your challenge but I doubt you’ll win.” I said.
“Then it’s settled,” said mom, “ one day we will fight to the death!”
“Oh boy…” Fluttershy said.
“But,” said mom “you’ll have to catch me first!”
Mom then threw some smoke bombs down and disappeared. Fluttershy and I were left coughing and the smoke cleared.
“Isn’t that a Great and Powerful Trixie move?” I said.
“Yup!” Fluttershy said.

Once the smoke cleared, Fluttershy let out a big sigh of relief.
“You really shouldn’t’ accept threats like that.” Fluttershy said.
“I don’t care.” I said. “I don’t know what she’s trying to pull, but she’s not going to win.”
“You can’t be so sure.” Fluttershy said.
“Okay…” I said.
After trying to catch my breath again, I passed out.

I was in the Hospital for six months and was finally released. I didn’t really have any restrictions, except if I was having any pain to rest. Of course Fluttershy was extremely worried about me. (Typical Fluttershy…)
When I got home, I wanted to start training right away. Of course, I had to get started on my homework. I also had to think about reforming Cozy Glow on top of things. I also had Scarlett Harmony assigned to train me, as if I didn’t have enough problems. But Princess Twilight seemed to think that she fit the bill. Even I didn’t want to be friends with her. So, finally the day came for my first trading session.
“Okay,” said Scarlett, “I think we’ll start out your training with simple hand to hand combat. And then maybe we can see what powers you have.”
“I know one power I have.” I said.
“What is it?” Scarlett said.
“When Luna and I were fighting,” I said, “I found out that I was able to throw an enemies attack back at them. As long as it’s magic or something like that.”
“Hum…” Scarlett said. “Interesting…”
“What?” I said.
“I’m thinking that might be due to light power.” Scarlett said.
“Light power?” I said.
“Light power is when you can use beams of light to use against your enemy.” Scarlett said. “This can be done in several ways. Let’s see if you can use it the Land of the Living. Though I’m pretty sure you can.”
“Well,”I said, “I only used it in the Land of the Dead. But, okay…”
“I got my first power in The Land of the Living,” said Scarlett, “is when I figured out that I have an iron fist, literally…”
“So,” I said, “you’re a Death Walker too?”
“Oh no,” said Scarlett, “I’m not a Death Walker, I’m just the middleman for both sides.”
“How is that possible?” I said.
“It’s a long story..” Scarlett said.
“Oh…” I said.
“Now,” said Scarlett, “let’s start!”

As soon as my trading began, I did not want Scarlett to go easy on me. The training was more like a game of dodgeball. After a while, Scarlett wanted to see what kind of powers I had.
“Now,” said Scarlett, “let’s see what you got.”
I smiled at Scarlett and before I knew it, I had a beam of light in my hand and threw it at Scarlett.
“Het watch it,” said Scarlett, “we’re not playing sudden death here!”
“OOps,” I said, “I thought we were!”
“I didn’t say intent to kill!” Scarlett said. “I just wanted to see what powers you had. That one was quite a punch!”
“Okay,” said Scarlett, “let’s see what else you got.”
As the training dragged on, I found out that I the power of darkness, the power of light and the power of glass, that last one I found to be puzzling. Oh and apparently I can combine my powers together and use them to my advantage. I can also use the glass power as a shield. My favorite power would be the one where I can was the enemy attack against them. Soon , I saw that Scarlett was getting out of breath.
“Okay,” said Scarlett, “let's take a break.”
“Sure.” I said.
I then heard some pony clear their throat. I turned around only to see the CMC’s.
“Hi Apple bloom!” I said. “What’s up?”
“We have a message for you.” Applebloom said.
Applebloom then handed me a message that was from Princess Twilight.
Dear Betty,
We’ve got a lead concerning your mother. It’s gonna take some work, but it’s something. I’ve also found out that your mother was conspiring with Luna to kill you. Don’t worry I threw luna in the very Prision that she runs.
Anyway, I also wanted to say that you really should take it easy on your training. You just got out of the Hospital. If you don’t take it easy, I’ll have Fluttershy tie you to the bed. That’s all I have to say.

After reading the letter, I couldn’t think of anything else. I was so angry that I punched the ground and it shattered about two yards from me.
“Um Betty,” said Scarlett with a nervous laugh, “before you use you other hand, maybe you should calm down a bit?”
“Damn it!” I said. “As if I didn’t have enough to worry about.”
“What did the note say?” Scarlett said.
“I’ll tell you later…” I said.
“Yeah,” said Applebloom, “maybe we’d better go.”
The rest of the CMC’s said their goodbyes and left.
“Are you gonna be okay?” Scarlett said.
“I’m fine…” I said.
Truth be told, I wasn’t fine. I then had a steering pain in my chest that brought me to my knees.
“Okay,” said Scarlett, “I think it’s time we stop for now. And it looks like you need some sleep.”
Scarlett then came over and put two fingers on my forehead and the last thing I knew, there was a brightness that was in my face. That was when it turned into blackness.

After I woke up and after quite some time, I noticed that Sliver Whiskers was sitting at my bedside. As soon as he noticed that I was awake he woke up too.
“Oh good,” said Silver Whiskers, “you’re awake…”
“Yeah,” I said, “I’m awake…”
“You okay?” Silver Whiskers said.
“Does it look like I’m okay?” I said.
After Silver Whiskers left I went back to sleep again. When I was sleeping I had a dream that I always had when I was little. I was running from something I didn’t know. I didn’t hear any voices in the background, so I knew it was just a dream.
As I continued running I began to see my mother and it seemed like she was getting further and further away. I was trying to reach her and knew that it wasn’t going to happen.
“Mother!” I kept screaming.
My mother’s voice would then echo back, “One day, I will kill you…”
After what seemed like forever, I stopped running and just stood there.
“I can’t catch up to her.” I thought.
As I just standing there it seemed like tie slowed to a stop. When I couldn’t take it anymore, I let out a loud scream.

Fluttershy knocked on the door.
“Are you okay?” Fluttershy said. “Heard screaming so I came to check on you.”
“I’m fine,” I said, “it was just a dream.”
“You want to talk about it?” Fluttershy said.
I shook my head, “No, I need to deal with this on my own.”
“You don’t have to-“ Fluttershy said.
“I’m fine..” I said.
“Oh,” said Fluttershy, “well, if you want to talk, I’m here.”
“Sure.” I said.
After Fluttershy left, it was my turn to let out a big sigh of relief.

The next meeting that I was not supposed to have my training with Scarlett that was next week. So I used that time to work on my homework. I then also took this chance to think of a way to reform Cozy Glow. When I was working on my homework, I noticed that Cozy Glow was floating around me and looking over my shoulder.
“Are those Math Problems?” Cozy Glow said.
“Yeah,” I said, “your point?”
“They look pretty complicated,” said Cozy Glow, “Can I help?”
“What do you know about Math?” I said.
“I know a little something,” said Cozy Glow, “It took a lot calculations to drain all the magic in equestria.”
“Yup,” I said, “and you know how well that turned out.”
Cozy Glow then had a nervous laugh, “Let’s put the pst where it belongs, in the past.”
“Yeah sure,” I said, “whatever you want…”

“So,” said Cozy Glow, “based on these calculations the answer is?”
“Right now I don’t care…” I said, “I’m tired.”
“Okay,” said Cozy Glow, “let’s take a break from Math. What’s next?”
“The Elements of Harmony homework, “ I said, “maybe this is something you can relearn?”
“Yeah,” said Cozy Glow, “let’s don’t and say we did. The CMC’s already taught me what I needed to know.”
“Sure they did…” I said.
“Can we talk about this later?” Cozy Glow said.
“Whatever you say…” I said.

The following week it was finally time for my training session with Scarlett.
“We need to figure out if you have anymore powers that you can use.” Scarlett said.
“I think we might’ve already figured it out.” I said.
“Maybe we should start training,” said Scarlett, “just don’t destroy the ground this time okay?”
“Why?” I said.
“Because,” said Scarlett, “you need ground to fight your battles unless you can fly.”
We started the training sessions and it turns out that I’m a pretty good flyer. But Scarlett couldn’t do long range attacks so that wasn’t to my advantage. But because I was able to do long range attacks that helped me to combine my powers to use against the enemy.
“That’s enough for today,” said Scarlett, “you’ve already gotten strong.”
“Sure about that?” I said.
“Yeah but,” said Scarlett, “it's because of your training your recovery’s been slow. You could pass out anytime soon.”
“You sure?” I said. “Don’t you think that my mother might strike while I’m still weak?”
“You might be right,” said Scarlett, “but I don’t know. Maybe she’s thinking outside the box? It would be a classic move for a villains ”
“Yeah,” I said, “that sounds just like her.”
“Maybe,” said Scarlett, “but you need to rest.”
“Sure…” I said.
