“... And that’s how I became what I am today”, finished Nightmare Rarity. Nightmare Moon was lying on the floor with a face of boredom because Nightmare Rarity had already told her that when they were on the moon.
Celestia was speechless. The only thing she could describe the story was like a tragedy because Rarity lost her friends, “Rarity, I’m so sorry for what you went through”, said Celestia.
Nightmare Rarity caught Celestia with her magic, “Don’t call me by this name!!” she exclaimed angrily, about to destroy Celestia.
Nightmare Moon noticing this, got up and went to Nightmare Rarity, “calm down, Nightmare Rarity. I deal with her”
Nightmare Rarity looked at Nightmare Moon, “Can’t I destroy her?”
“It’s just that as I suffered in their hooves, I think it’s only fair to destroy her”, explained Nightmare Moon.
Nightmare Rarity started to think. That was a good point. She closed her eyes before releasing Celestia and going back. That done, she opened her eyes and watched Nightmare Moon approach Celestia, who took Celestia’s chin to say, “Celestia, I hope you’re ready to see the last day with your sun”
Celestia was crying, “please, Luna. Don’t do it. I do anything you ask me!” she begged.
Nightmare Moon raised an eyebrow, “Anything?”
“Yes. Anything!” answered Celestia through tears.
“Then you will be banished to the moon as a punishment for imprisoning me for a thousand years!” exclaimed Nightmare Moon before casting a spell that would cause Celestia to be imprisoned on the moon.
Nightmare Moon saw that on the moon now had the silhouette of a mare on the moon. Nightmare Moon started walking, “come on, Rarity. We need to go to Ponyville”
“Darling, I have a doubt”, Nightmare Rarity followed Nightmare Moon as she spoke.
Nightmare Moon looked at Nightmare Rarity, “What’s your question?”
“Should I go to the city hall in disguise? Like, I can’t turn into a mist like you”, said Nightmare Rarity.
“You can disguise yourself as that beautiful mare I’ve seen before”, replied Nightmare Moon with a seductive smile.
Nightmare Rarity blushed, “What did you say, darling?”
Nightmare Moon touched what she said and blushed, “n-nothing. Let’s go. Then we meet at Two Sisters Castle”
Twilight Sparkle was talking to the mares she met. Applejack was in charge of the food, Rainbow Dash of the mood, Mabel of the decor, and Fluttershy of the song. Everything was great. Only the decoration that looked childish from having balloons, and it wasn’t Pinkie Pie balloons, it was the balloons Mabel brought in her backpack. Twilight really hoped the princess wouldn’t mind having balloons. She wished Mabel had listened to her, but Mabel didn’t even listen. Now Twilight Sparkle had to pray that everything would work out.

Who did she want to fool? It wasn’t great. Twilight read about the return of Nightmare Moon, she sent a letter to her mentor. But the princess ignored her warning and said it was a pony tale and she should check the preparations for the Summer Sun Celebration. And she did as her mentor asked. But she feared that Nightmare Moon would return. She decided to look and still saw the silhouette of a mare on the moon. Twilight Sparkle blew out a breath. Nightmare Moon hasn’t been released from her prison. But what Twilight didn’t know was that the mare’s silhouette wasn’t from Nightmare Moon, but from Princess Celestia. Because the stars were no longer approaching the moon, but Twilight didn’t even notice. Twilight Sparkle heard footsteps and saw a white unicorn mare with purple mane and three diamond Cutie Mark. Twilight Sparkle smiled, “Hi. Are you new to the celebration? My name is Twilight Sparkle, and yours?” in Spike’s eyes, there were hearts.
Rarity smiled, “Hi, Twilight Sparkle. My name is Rarity”
Twilight Sparkle’s friends were surprised to see Rarity. Rarity hasn’t appeared in years. Who spoke first was Applejack, “Rarity, where the hell have you been all these years?” asked Applejack in a concerned tone.
Rarity grinned at Applejack, though inside she was angry at the cowmare, “oh. I just went for a long walk throughout Equestria”
Applejack decided to believe what Rarity said. Pinkie Pie was jumping up to Rarity, “Rarity! Where have you been? Hey! Now that you’re back from wherever, let’s have a welcome party!”
They heard the choir of birds began to sing. When it stopped, a spotlight went to Mayor Mare, “fillies and gentlecolts. It is with great pleasure that I present the Summer Sun Celebration,” the Ponies applauded. “And that is how I present the good and unique, the one who brings us the day and the sun, the benevolent Princess Celestia!” Mabel opened the curtain with her mouth before looking back and not seeing the princess. She was confused.
Twilight Sparkle was worried, “this can’t be good”, she was nothing more than worried. Where was Celestia? Nightmare Moon couldn’t have escaped from the prison. The silhouette of the Moon Mare was still on the moon.
The ponies began talking to each other to discuss what might have happened to Celestia. Mayor Mare tried to calm everypony down. Twilight Sparkle was tweaking her hooves nervously. Pinkie Pie started jumping with joy, “Oh. Oh. I love games. Is she hiding?” Pinkie Pie started looking for Celestia.
Mabel stepped inside the balcony Celestia was supposed to appear, but didn’t find her, “she’s gone”, the audience ponies let out a sigh.
“Oh. She’s good”, said Pinkie Pie, admiring Celestia’s skills in Hide and Seek. Pinkie Pie screamed as she saw a blue haze heading to the balcony.
Twilight Sparkle acknowledged, “oh no”
The mist expanded, and out of it came a black-haired alicorn mare with light blue armor and dragon slits.
“... Nightmare Moon”, Twilight Sparkle finished silently so the mare wouldn’t hear her. Spike passed out on seeing Nightmare Moon.
Nightmare Moon smiled, “Oh. My lovely subjects. I haven’t seen your lovely little faces for so long”
Rainbow Dash was angry, “What did you do to our princess?!” Rainbow Dash intended to fly to Nightmare Moon to attack her, but Applejack stopped her.
“Calm down”, said Applejack as she held Rainbow Dash’s tail.
Nightmare Moon laughed, “Why? Am I not real enough for you? Don’t you know who I am?”
Pinkie Pie brightened, “Oh. Oh. More guessing games. Witch of darkness. How about evil queen? No dark princess…” Applejack popped a Cupcake in Pinkie Pie’s mouth to stop her talking.
Nightmare Moon approached Fluttershy, “Doesn’t my crown count anymore? Since I was trapped for a thousand years?” Fluttershy cringed in fear.
Nightmare Moon went to Mabel and touched her chin, “Don’t you remember the legend? Didn’t you see the signs?” Nightmare Moon realized that this mare wore a sweatshirt and braces on her teeth, was that the mare Rarity told her about? Could only be.
“I saw it!” Nightmare Moon looked at the voice’s owner and saw a lavender unicorn with dark blue horsehair with pink and purple stripes and a cutie mark of a pink star surrounded by five white stars. “And I know who you are. You’re the Mare on the Moon, Nightmare Moon!”
The other ponies sighed in surprise. Nightmare Moon smiled, “Well, well. Somepony remembers me. Then you must know why I’m here”
“You’re here to… to…” Twilight Sparkle swallowed hard.
Nightmare Moon laughed, “Remember this day, ponies. It was the last one. Starting today, the night… will last… forever!” she started to laugh. Her mane turned and swirled and lightning appeared. Everypony was startled by this statement, especially Twilight Sparkle. The only one not afraid was Rarity. And luckily for her, everypony was too scared to notice if she had a pony smiling at that statement.
“Arrest her! She knows where the princess is!” said Mayor Mare.
Three royal guards went to Nightmare Moon, “walk away, you foals”, her eyes flashed white before she laughed and thundered at the three guards and turned into mist.
Rarity took the opportunity to follow Nightmare Moon. The ponies began to run everywhere in the town hall.
Rainbow Dash was struggling to get out and Applejack was trying not to let go. But Rainbow Dash managed to leave and went after Nightmare Moon, “come back here!” but it was no use because Nightmare Moon was already far away.
Rainbow Dash started thinking about what Nightmare Moon said, “Night… Eternal?” she looked down and saw Twilight Sparkle running out of the city with Spike in the back. “Where she goes?”
At Golden Oka’s Tree Library, Spike was struggling not to fall asleep, “we have to stop Nightmare…” but it was no use and he fell asleep.
Twilight Sparkle covered Spike around the neck, “You’ve been up all night, Spike. After all, you are a baby dragon”
Twilight turned off the light in Spike’s sleeping room, down the steps to the ground floor, and began looking for a book that talked about the Elements of Harmony, “Elements. Elements Urg! How will I stop Nightmare Moon without the Elements of Harmony?”
Rainbow Dash came out of nowhere and went to Twilight Sparkle, “and how did you know about the return of Nightmare Moon? And what are these Elements of Harmony? Are you a spy?!” Rainbow Dash’s tail was pulled back.
“Stop it, Rainbow. She isn’t a spy. But she knows what’s going on, right, Twilight?” said Applejack. Mabel, Fluttershy, Rainbow Dash and Pinkie Pie approached with worried glances.
Twilight Sparkle found it odd that Rarity wasn’t with them, but decided not to question, “I read about Nightmare Moon’s return in a book. In the book, it says that the Elements of Harmony are the only thing that can stop it. But I don’t know what they are, how they are and where to find them”
“Elements of Harmony: A Guide to References”, read Pinkie Pie a book title on a bookshelf.
Twilight Sparkle pushed Pinkie Pie, “How did you know you were here?” wanted to know Twilight Sparkle, now surprised.
“It was in the letter E”, sang Pinkie Pie as she jumped.
Twilight Sparkle uttered an “Oh,” before taking the book from the bookcase with its magic before reading it, “There are five elements of harmony: kindness, laughter, generosity, honesty and loyalty, the sixth is a complete mystery. The last time the elements were seen was in the castle of the two sisters, located in… ”
“... Everfree Forest!” the six mares finished. They watched the forest in fear before they recovered.
“Uh-hu! Let’s go!” exclameid Pinkie Pie animated, about to enter the forest, but was prevented by Twilight Sparkle.
“Wait a minute!” Pinkie Pie stopped.
“Look. Thank you for bringing me here, but I must proceed on my own”, said Twilight Sparkle, all determined.
“No way, sugarcube. We aren’t going to let a friend of ours go into this dangerous forest”, said Applejack. Twilight Sparkle was confused that Applejack had called her a friend.
Applejack and the others but Pinkie and Twilight entered the woods, “We’re going to be by your side like candied apple”, the others agreed.
Pinkie Pie brightened, “I didn’t know that had caramel apple in the woods”
Twilight Sparkle was silent, “what? They’re very good”, Pinkie Pie stepped into the woods. Twilight Sparkle let out a breath before entering the forest as well.
Nightmare Moon was waiting for Rarity. Until she heard footsteps. Nightmare Moon’s ears brightened. She saw a shadow coming from the corridor. Rarity came running to Nightmare Moon. She was very tired, “darling”
“Why did it take so long?” wanted to know Nightmare Moon.
“I had to try to find out where the two Sisters’ castle was located, dear”, replied Rarity, still tired.
“Why didn’t you use a teleportation spell?” asked Nightmare Moon.
“I didn’t learn to teleport so far, darling”, replied Rarity.
“Didn’t you learn this spell?” asked Nightmare Moon.
“More or less, Nightmare Moon”, replied Rarity.
“Well, I think we’d better go”, said Nightmare Moon.
Rarity was confused, “huh?”
“We need to stop those ponies from everfree forest”, said Nightmare Moon.
“Should I change my shape?” wanted to know Rarity.
Nightmare Moon nodded, “yes”
Rarity used her magic to transform herself. Her mane became longer, part of her mane turned white, her hair turned black, and her height increased. Nightmare Moon smiled at the change. She didn’t know which shape was prettier: The Nightmare form or the normal mare form.
“Why that smile, darling?” asked Nightmare Rarity with a smile.
Nightmare Moon suddenly flushed, “for nothing, Rarity”, she was smiling.
“Admit it. I’m fabulous like that”, said Nightmare Rarity.
Nightmare Moon didn’t know why she was blushing. Did she have feelings for Nightmare Rarity? It couldn’t be. She saw Nightmare Rarity only as her friend. She couldn’t be in love with Nightmare Rarity, could she?
As Nightmare Rarity, she thought the exact opposite: The unicorn thought that her tactic of making Nightmare Moon fall in love was really working.
Nightmare Moon, although she is still blushing, she tried to tell Nightmare Rarity to follow her to prevent the six ponies from reaching the Two Sisters Castle, “Come on, Rarity. We need to stop them from getting here”
“Does that mare in sweatshirt go along?” wanted to know Nightmare Rarity.
“I saw her at the celebration. I’m not sure if she will help those foals”, replied Nightmare Moon.
“Ok. Come on. I think if she goes along, I’ll have a chance to get revenge”, said Nightmare Rarity.
