Epilogue: Letter to Celestia

Dear Princess Celestia...

I am writing to inform you of this quarter's progress, and of the aftermath of the Dewdrop Incident.

Testing of the newest version of the Pegasus Device has been successful. Efficiency has been increased by 28%, and the initial purity of the extraction has been increased by an astounding 32%! Already, of course, I am hard at work devising further improvements.

The year's Spectra supply is currently being collected at the expected rate. However, there has been a minor shortage of yellow ponies. Do you know of any that could help?

I am also in need of two new researchers, one biomage, and four security guards... there was a minor incident involving Subject 06912. Though eventually terminated with extreme prejudice, he did manage to incinerate and/or eat the aforementioned seven ponies before finally being taken down.

However, I am thrilled to tell you that my latest forays into genetic engineering have proven successful! I am now able to clone the most productive sources of high-quality Spectra we will encounter in the future. Of course, that does not mean I no longer need patients; rather, I will be needing more to find those sources in the first place.

Now, concerning the Dewdrop Incident...

Firstly, I must apologize. I never expected the acting courses you insisted I join you in would ever be useful to me, but thanks to them, Rainbow never suspected a thing until the very end. I would be honored to join you again the next time you arrange for more.

Also, I have discovered a flaw in the Sentry Cloud spell and the Security AI. It would seem that if a nonregistered pony simply remains on the ground, even after tripping the alarms, then the spell is deactivated. I would suspect that it was never discovered before because such ponies are usually too panicked to realize this. I will have to do more research on how to modify these spells to cover those vulnerabilities.

Spritz's and Dewdrop's parents - Silver Sword and Century Flower - have recently arrived, and were placed into Cells #43 and #45. It is unfortunate, but due to the unexpected meddling of their daughter, I can understand that they were quite incensed when you revealed her ultimate fate to them. We cannot have any loose ends; I will see to it personally that they are taken care of.

And as for Rainbow Dash - esteemed Wonderbolt, and Element of Loyalty... thankfully, for the sake of her friends, fans, and family, I was able to extract and synthesize samples of her DNA, her frontal cortex neuromagical scans, and her cyan Spectra and impart them into a successful clone. I must admit, I would hope to one day introduce her as an example of the perfection of my genetic testing. The other Wonderbolts, our shared friends and even her own parents are none the wiser.

Oh, yes, one more thing... may I ask if you could find me some more janitors? Rainbow actually asked me to make that request, last time we talked. The upper floors are becoming quite filthy, after all.

Always faithful,

~Twilight Sparkle, Princess of Friendship
