Chapter 3: Highrise
As soon as Cole and Zeke left the pizza parlor, they headed toward to the site where a big flash of light emitted. As they walked towards there; the citizens of Empire city couldn't help but to look at the strange pair running past them, rushing to the scene.
Meanwhile, Cole wondered if it was a new conduit with dangerous powers intent on destroying the city or it could be the beast that Kessler warned him about, but he quickly noticed that nothing but the site has been destroyed so far.
“Ok, so it can’t be the beast”, said Cole.
“What makes you say that Cole?”, asked Zeke.
“I’m sure Kessler said the beast would bring destruction around it’s path and I have yet to see a single building collapse or an explosion yet”.
“Oh well that makes sense then”, said a worried Zeke.
“Yeah it’s probably either Alden on a rampage or a new conduit that decided to show it’s face and I’ll be sure to finish either both of them this time” said an angrily Cole.
Soon, they have arrived in The Warren surprised to see no cops on the crash site. “Hm I guess the cops are either drunk or haven't the slightest idea yet” said Zeke
“You did let almost half of them die you know Zeke”, added Cole.
Zeke still felt ashamed of what he did, so he decided to keep his mouth shut. “Ok, no point in arguing then, lets get to the site already”.
Cole and Zeke then spotted what not appears to be human or a conduit, but a sleeping Pegasus.
“Wow what do you think this is Cole? “Is it a... pegasus?, well what do you want to do?, shall we get rid of it or help it?”
“No” said Cole, “It’s not harming anybody, plus it’s sleeping so it’s probably a harmless pegasus.”
“Ok, so do you want to take it back to the hideout then?” asked Zeke.
“Yeah sure we can probably help it and it might even talk if were lucky” said Cole.
And so Cole and Zeke both carried the helpless pegasus back to the rooftop hideout, laying her down on the couch as they both watched it over.
“I sure hope she doesn't soil my good couch” said Zeke “Ok, so we know it’s a female pegasus after looking at it now, where do you think she came from Cole?”
“I don't know Zeke, but it defiantly didn't come from here; probably from another planet or something.”
“Shoot!, then I say we show it off to the people of Empire city, it will help get us the ladies and make her our trusty steed!”, said Zeke.
“And what? cause another frenzy in this city? It’s bad enough this plague thing put us in a quarantine zone, but with all the conduits running around here it only gets worse and if the government finds out about that pegasus then we’ll get into a lot of trouble said Cole in a cold voice.
“The way you put it, yeah it does sounds like a bad idea then”. “So what do you want to do then?, Zeke replies
“It’s simple, we stay here and wait for her to wake up then hopefully, if it understands our language, we ask it where it came from and how to get it back to where it belongs”.
“I guess your right on that as well, but you watch over her! I better go get us something to eat!”
“But we already ate pizza earlier.”
“Well it’s for an afternoon snack or for tomorrow Cole!”
“Fine then, but make it quick, god knows when another conduit or the reapers might attack the people again.”
“Ok I’ll do it pronto like then!” Zeke then quickly went down the stairs and said to himself, “First, my best bud gets superpowers and now we find a pegasus. This is really starting to get interesting now!”
Meanwhile in Equestria
“Oh dear Spike, what I have done! I don't know where Derpy teleported. The device didn’t show the destination spot!”
“Check all the spots then! doesn't the device show a list of all the locations? said Spike.
“Ugh, I only gave three different spot locations and I’m not sure if she’s in one of those spots!”
“Ok, don't panic. Let’s just look around for her in those three locations!, Spike said quickly.
“Ok ok, let’s just find her and get a move on then!”
“All right, let’s move out and find her!”
And so, Twilight and Spike set out to find Derpy hoping that she is on one of the three locations the device recognizes; not knowing Twilight she’s somewhere else.
