Tyrannus let out a yawn as he stretched. I wonder if Fluttershy's up yet? Tyrannus peeked in the kitchen. I guess not. Well, might as well save her some trouble. Tyrannus walked into the kitchen, and began to set some ingredients aside for breakfast. He hummed to himself as he cracked open some eggs, and started to cook them in a frying pan. Tyrannus got pretty into it as he set about getting the rest of breakfast ready. However, his flow was soon interrupted by an unexpected visitor.
"Ty?" Fluttershy asked as she silently entered the kitchen.
Needless to say, Tyrannus was quite startled by the sudden appearance of Fluttershy. "AH!" Tyrannus accidentally tossed the pan too high, and the eggs were airborn! Fortunately, he managed to catch them before any damage could be done. "That was close."
Fluttershy giggled. "Funny. I'm the one that scared you this time."
"You sure are good at being quiet." Tyrannus said with a nod. "Anyway, breakfast should be done soon. Just waiting on the toast." Sure enough, the toaster dinged. "Ah. There we go. Enjoy!" Tyrannus grabbed a piece of toast, and served himself two eggs. Happily munching away as he grabbed a seat.
"I didn't know you could cook Ty." Fluttershy remarked. "You're quite the gentle giant."
Tyrannus smiled. "Why thank you." He then chuckled as a thought came into his head. "How about I be your pillow tonight so you can see how soft I am?" Fluttershy's face turned bright red at hearing this, and hid behind her wings! She's even cuter when she's shy. Tyrannus thought to himself as he munched away at his breakfast. "No need to get so embarrassed. I was just making a joke."
"Oh...I see." Fluttershy did her best to hide her disappointment. "So are you going to meet with the other Elements of Heroism today?"
Tyrannus shook his head. "No. The last few battles took a lot out of us, so Burst's decreed some mandatory downtime. And currently, there's nothing I'd rather do than just sit back and enjoy your house."
"Um, it can be your house too. If you want..." Fluttershy said shyly.
Tyrannus smiled. "That's awfully nice of you to say Fluttershy. But I do have a place I can call home. Still, it would be pretty hard to leave this place."
"Why's that?" Fluttershy asked.
Tyrannus did his best to hide the blush on his face. "Seeing your eyes when you're begging is a real tear-jerker. And...I don't want to see you sad. You've shown me nothing but kindness. The last thing I want to do is be the idiot that makes you cry." Tyrannus then looked right into Fluttershy's eyes. He tried to tear himself away, but he couldn't bring himself to do so. "So... I'll stay as long as you want me to." Tyrannus polished off the last of his breakfast, and cleaned his plate before heading into the living room and read one of Fluttershy's animal books. However, he began to nod off when he was about halfway through. Soon falling asleep on the couch.
Fluttershy nervously inched over to Tyrannus, and couldn't help but smile at seeing him asleep. Well...I guess now's my chance. Fluttershy slid under one of Tyrannus's arms, and snuggled against his chest. He really is a big softy. Fluttershy thought with a smile as she positioned Tyrannus's arms around her like a hug. A fond sigh escaping from her.
A few seconds later, Tyrannus opened his eyes, and saw Fluttershy happily nuzzling against him. And he couldn't help but smile. Note to self: Fluttershy REALLY enjoys snuggling. Tyrannus closed his eyes, and tightened his embrace around Fluttershy. The two slumbering peacefully together.
