Chapter 9: Holidays

Months have come and gone and life here is just bliss. I've have wonderful times here hanging out with my friends, helping ponies without asking for any reward, even having random conversations too.
It just seems like this is all a dream but I know it's not. Not even my wild imaginations can create something so perfect. As time went on my love for Equestria has grown from a simple dream to paradise. I never wanted to leave.
Another month has gone by again. I did the usual. Helped out with the farm, teach a bit at the school, trained with Vinyl to get my voice perfect, and a couple of pranks with Pinkie.
But it was soon gonna be Nightmare Night. I was so ready for this I even asked Rarity ahead of time to help me create a special costume for this years "Best Costume Contest". And when it was finally done I went to Twilights and asked her if she can enchanted it just for tonight.
I even told her what I wanted the enchantment to do. She happily did it. I even made sure not to show her or anypony what it was until the contest. At the same time it was about to get dark I been thinkinig if Princess Luna was gonna come down this year? But it didn't bother me that much.
It was finally time for Nightmare Night to start. I packed up my costume in my backpack and headed into town with Fluttershy dressing as a pixie.
As Me and Flutterhsy got into town I started to look around to see what the other ponies where dressed like? Most of them very generic. We meet up with the others so that we could go around having fun together.
Twilight was dressed as a scientist, AJ was dressed as a train conducter, Rarity was dressed as a princess (of course), Pinkie was still dressed as a chicken, Spike dressed as a T-Rex, and Rainbow Dash was dressed as a F-18 pilot.
"Hey Cody why aren't ya wearing yer costume?" ApplJack asked me. "Well you do know that there's a Best Costume Contest tonight right? So I asked Rarity to make it very special and secretive so that way I can surprise all of you when I get on stage." I replied.
"Oh so that's why you asked me for those enchantments!" Said Twilight. I nodded. "Well it going to be a couple of hours before that starts dear. Let's go have some fun in the mean time!" Said Rarity. We all went to a couple of stands and played some games bobbing for apples, pumpkin toss, and we even played spider web.
It was so much fun i just had to say it. "AH HA! THE FUN HAS BEEN DOUBLED!" All the girls laughed at what I said. I looked at the time *10:30 pm*. It was finally time for the Best Costume Contest. I got up to the signing booth. I was told to pick a number from the bowl. No. 100. "Well it looks like I'm last again." I said.
I go to the changing room they had just incase somepoines wanted to fix there costumes. "Welcome everpony to the Best Costume Contest!" Said the Mayor. "We will be witnessing 100 canidates for this contest. And of course there will be rewards to the top 3 contestants."
"Third Place will win a half of price to Sugarcube Corner. Second Place will win a free month to the Ponyville Spa. And First Place gets tickets to the Grand Galloping Galla this spring." Said the Mayor while holding up the prizes. I didn't really care about the rewards. I just wanted to show everypony more about my cultures fictional heroes.
As time went on with the contest a lot of ponies had amazing costumes. Two hours passed.
"It's been two hours already! When's Cody gonna be up?" Said the irritated Rainbow Dash. "I have the feeling he might be last to show up. So be patient Rainbow." Twilight replied. "And now for our finally guest please give it up for Cody Aldrich and his *Spider-Man* costume!" Said the Mayor. The curtains rolled up and the light were supposed to fixiate on me but I was gone.
Everpony gasped. "Wait where's Cody? Fluttershy responded in consern. "Why don't you look behind you?" I replied. The spotlight moved to show me and my spidey costume that Rarity made for me. As it showed me in a red and black spider like costume while I was on top of a street light. I jumped into the air and flicked my wrist so that a web-shot strand shot out and allowed me to web-swing to the stage.

As I landed i jumped again and stuck to the celling of the stage. Everypony even Twilight and Rarity were amazed at what I did. Then I slid down a web-strand while hanging upside down. "So are we having fun everypony?!" I said to the crowd. Then they all screamed "YEAH!" I moved my self so that i was standing up straight and took a bow.
"So that's why he wanted to enchanted those clothes with those traits!" Said the astounished Twilight. "Now everpony it's time to vote on who'll be the rewarded with the title of Best Costume!" Said the Mayor. All the ponies gathered up into a single file line and casted there votes. Again I didn't really care if I won or not I just wanted to have fun and show them this costumes abilites.
"Okay the votes have been cast and now we will see who won!" Everypony was holding there suspense to see who won. "3rd place goes to The Cutie Mark Crusaders and there amazing Hydra costume!" The CMC came out jumping with joy. "2nd Place goes to Lydia and her Mysterious Mare Do Well Costume!" Lydia came out and waved to everyppony before she got off stage.
"And now the winner of this year's Best Costume Contest is......." It looked like everypony stepped closer to hear what she was gonna say. "Cody Aldrich and His Spider-Man Costume!" I stood there in shock. "I won?" A speechless grin came upon me.
I web-swinged to the center of the stage again and was given the tickets. "Congratulations Cody! Hope you have the time of your life in the spring." The Mayor said to me while still being speechless.

Two months have gone by. And it was close to Hearth's Warming Eve. I helped all of the girls set up the decorations. And it was true it really did felt like Christmas. As i was thinking about my time on Earth at Christmas I started to get tears around my eyes.
Fluttershy looked at me. "Something wrong Cody?" Asked the conserned Fluttershy. "No. No just remembering Christmas time back on Earth." They all looked at me. "What's this *Christmas* your talking about?" Asked the curious Rainobw Dash.
"Well in the begining Christmas was celebrated for the birth of Jesus Christ. But as time went on it became a holiday not just for his birthday it also came to be a time where friends and family got together and celebrated joy on Earth." I told them in the easiest way posssible to explain about Christmas.
"So pretty much Christmas and Hearth's Warming Eve are the same?" Asked Twilight. "Yeah I guess so." I replied. As the day went on I bought the girls and all my other friends gifts that I thought would be perfect for them. But somthing was missing. And I couldn't put my finger on it.
Then it hit me. I should give Ponyville a present! Not just any present a performance to celebrate Chirstmas and Hearth's Warming Eve together! I was beaming with joy. So I went to Vinyl's place and ask her if she could help me with this project. "So you want to put on a performance for Ponyville as a gift?" Said the curious Vinyl Scratch. I nodded.
"Hehe. Thought you would never ask." Said the joyful Vinyl. She got some of here associates together and we told them them plan on how it would go. After a few minutes of talking it all out the plan was done. Vinyl sent them to set up the stage and the secret climatic ending. But first we had to get the word around town so that everypony would be there and I mean EVERYPONY.
We sent out as many invitaions as possible. After an hour of telling everypony about it we went to the stage to get ready. I looked out to see how many ponies were there and well I saw the whole town was here. I was starting to get nervous.
"Hey hey. Calm down dude this is gonna be awesome!" Said the exciteful Vinyl. "True. But since this is my first time singing at all in front of everyone I'm just a bit nervous." I replied while trying to calm myself down from the crowd. "Listen Cody. If you didn't want to do this you would've never asked me about this and you know it." Said Vinyl.
You know what? She's right. I just need to look on ahead and do this. I finally stopped shaking. As I was getting ready to get on stage the girls were wondering what's going on. "This is going to be so awesome!" said Rainbow Dash while holding back her excitment.
"Agreed. I just hope Cody doesn't get to shy and cancel it." Said the concerned Twilight. "Don't worry I'm certain Cody will do just fine. I believe in him." Fluttershy said while trying to be supportive. They all nodded. Just then Vinyl came up to me. "Well Cody shall we get started?" She asked me. I nodded "Yeah Let's Rock!"
"WHAZZUP EVERYPONY?" Vinyl said to the crowd. They were all screaming so loud and passionate. It felt great. I grabbed the mic. "So I bet your all wondering what's going on here?" Well to put it simple I'm celebrating both Hearth's Warming Eve And my holiday that I celebrated back on Earth called *Christmas*." I said to the crowd. "If you all don't know what it is just listen to the song I'm going to be singing to you all and you'll get what I'm talking about."
"So please listen to my two songs I'm going to perform. There not an original song for me but it just fits perfectly. I'll be singing "Beautiful Christmas" And "All I Want For Christmas" By my favorite band Big Time Rush." I said. "HIT IT!" Said Vinyl to the her band. The music played and I could feel everything about the song. Then I started to sing.

This time right after the song ended Vinyl gave a nod to a pegasus behind the crowd and started to drop the finally act I planned for this.
Presents. Presents falling form the sky and landing right next to the specific pony with a gift inside and a notice from me that said *Merry Christmas*.
Everypony beamed with such joy then they all said to me "MERRY CHRISTMAS!" I smiled knowing that this was the best Chirstmas ever.

Three months have passed since giving Ponyville a day they would never forget. Today was going to be a very special day for me. Winter Wrap Up!
I was so excited! My first Winter Wrap Up ever! I was given a brown vest showing that I'm with Fluttershy's team on waking up the animals. I got to my first burrow. I ringed the bell gently as possible.
*ring ring* "Wake up everyone. It's time to get up and stretch those legs. Spring is coming." I said in a calmful toned voice. Four foxes popped out and yawned. (daww there so cute)
I spent the next couple of hours ringing the bell near burrows and seeing what animal wakes up. One was a pair of snakes, another one was some bear cubs, and another one was some deer.
It felt good to do somthing like this. I meet up with Fluttershy later. We talked a bit on what animals came out and how many were there. Then I spent the next couple of hours helping out with the other ponies. *sigh* Today was a great day...........
