Chapter 15 A Man Of Few Words Part 1

“Wha-where am I?” Valkyr groaned as she woke to see nothing but a shiny surface surrounding her and 2 other forms, one of them was Mag

“Hey! Mag, Mag, are you alright!” Valkyr asked as she slowly began to wake up

"Dammit! we just had to stay out late, didn't we?" Valkyr mentally cursed as Mag began to stir

Valkyr looked around the area until she found a blue energy shield, most likely the door, in front of them as she saw (guards) walking back and forth, not sparing her a glance. Then she saw the shadow in the dark corner of the room move.

“Wait, who else is here? Show yourself!” She demanded as the shadow moved and then spoke one line before Mag fully awoke

“Clem.”

“-The military have stated that no harm will be brought to anyone by the strange, floating (Ship). People have reported seeing what seems to be (Robots) leaving and guarding the entrance to the ship,”

“Nothing has been reported as of late, but people are urged to stay inside until further notice-“

“I’LL FUCKING KILL THAT WALKING, PROFIT STEALING PRICK!!!” Excalibur yelled furiously as he smashed another fist into a wall as most of the team watched

“You’re not you when your hungry-“Mirage began to speak before a bullet pasted her face as Excalibur pointed his Lex at her

“Finish that sentence and I’ll gut you,” He said darkly as the rest backed up “Anyone else?”

“Look, we need a plan here if we want to save Mag and your sister, so please calm down!” Skyler said trying to calm Excalibur down as he sat down on a seat

“Right, so what’s the plan?” Nox asked as everyone stayed silent until Nekros knocked on the table, grabbing their attention

“I do have one idea,” Nekros stated as everyone waited “I have someone who can help us get into that stronghold,”

“And who’s that ‘All-powerful-jackass’?” Volt quipped as everyone glared at him “What? Just trying to lighten the mood,”

“Give me a moment,” Nekros said as he began to type into the console until a monitor popped up and soon a picture of (Darvo) appeared

“Ah, Tenno, I wondered when you would be calling, what can I help you with?” Darvo asked as Nekros began to explain the situation as Darvo looked even more pissed

“So… that explains why he hasn’t come back yet,” Darvo added as everyone looked at him with confusion “Oh, yes, my friend had been gathering intel of Corpus tech and ended up getting caught,”

“So, he is most likely with your friends, Look I can get you in, but only a small team can go, too many and I won’t be much help,”

“Well, what happens if the team gets caught?” Trinity asked as Darvo brought up a vague profile

“I already have a man on the inside waiting for you, he will meet up with you when your inside,” Darvo explained as most of the Tenno stared at the kill count

“Alright, who’s going?” Excalibur asked as most stayed silent until hands rose into the air “Alright then, Me, Nekros, Skyler and Volt are going, everyone else is to remain here until further notice,”

Whist everyone prepared for their daring rescue, Excalibur walked over to Skyler, who was checking her weapons.

“You don’t need to say it, but I’m going!” Skyler began as Excalibur just looked at her “You’ve all done so much for me, that I want to help repay you all, not just that, Valkyr is a very good friend to me so I want to help her,”

“I know and I knew that no matter what I say, you would come anyways,” Excalibur explained as he looked back at the monitor and then back “But just promise me something. . . if things get tough. . . don’t get involved,”

Skyler then brought Excalibur into a hug as she smiled.

“I promise,” She whispered as he returned the jester

“Good, because I don’t want you to see what I’ll do to Alad V when I get him,”

“Are you sure going through the vents is a good idea?” Volt asked as he kept hitting his head on the ceiling

“Well we could have smashed through a window, but I think Nekros would get bored hitting you with every pane we come across,” Excalibur explain as he gulped

“Ok, we’re here,” Nekros called out as he smashed the grate off the vent and they dropped down to the floor

“Ok, Tenno, here we go, just keep out of sight and you should be fine,” Darvo said over the coms as they all nodded and began to traverse the ship

As they carefully travelled through the ship’s hull they dodged and stealth killed any nearby corpus and proceeded through the halls, then they came to a massive, locked door.

“Skyler, you’re up!” Excalibur called out as she approached the terminal and began to work the controls but failed as it buzzed

“Dammit!” She cursed as she went for another hack but was stopped by Excalibur raising his hand as she backed up and drew her magnums

“Volt who is it?” Excalibur asked as he tried to use his minimap but only static greeted him

Volt was about to speak but the sound of gunfire could be heard on the other side as 5 bullet holes passed through the door as they watched them hit the wall behind them. The door then swung open as they all raised their guns to an injured corpus stumbled into the room and tried to run but they all watched as it’s body was lifted into the air as it’s body hung from the massive blade impaling it.

The sword dropped as the body slid off and revealed a very menacing looking (Frame). His armour was black and jagged, he holstered the massive (Sword) and brought out a (Shotgun) and held it by one hand.

Then he spoke.

“Oi! You cheeky bastards! You bloody left me behind!” Rhino cursed as he ran forward and smashed his body into Nekros and Excalibur as they flew back

“looks like team Relic Hunters’ is blasting off again!!!” They both yelled as they collided with the wall as the others went to help them

“You bloody deserved that,” Rhino stated loudly as Nekros jumped back up

“I’m A.O.K!” He said before Rhino’s elbow came round and smashed into his jaw as he felt it shatter into pieces as he flew backwards “Now I’m K.O,”

Rhino then turned to see Skyler and Volt pointing their guns at him as he laughed.

“You think those toothpicks can hurt me?!” He mocked as they glared at him but he didn’t care

Rhino then went over and help Excalibur to his feet as they shook hands.

“Took you long enough to get here,” Excalibur said happily

“Well if ‘Someone’ didn’t run off maybe I would have been here,” Rhino added as Skyler sighed and shook her head

“Jesus, why does everyone want to kill you?” She sighed in defeat as Excalibur just rested his hand on her shoulder

“Welcome to my world,” He added as he cleared his throat “Ok then, now that we got Rhino here we can move on with our rescue mission,”

“Tenno, they know you’re here, get ready for heavy reinforcements,” Darvo chimed in as they all looked towards the hall and saw the shadows coming down the hall

“Let me and Alice handle this,” Rhino said as a (Kubrow) came around the corner barking as Rhino brought his Tigris round and walked calmly into the hall

“Hey Rhino, try to go easy on them!” Nekros called out as he just laughed

“Oh, yes let them bow before their God,” He mocked as they all stopped and pointed their weapons at Rhino as he just waited

“Right so what happens when you cross a gun with a Badass?” Rhino asked as the corpus all looked at each other as they heard a gun click and saw Rhino pointing his shotgun at them

“A God Killer.” He said simply before pulling the trigger

The hallway went from a standoff to a bloodbath as pieces of limbs and parts flew backwards into a mess as Rhino just hummed to himself as he strolled down the hall.

“Skyler, Volt? Meet the tank of the original Relic Hunters,” Excalibur said as he followed after him and soon the followed suit

Valkyr, Mag and their newly made friend Clem were linked up to lazer mining tables as the head of robotics, Alad V finished talking with business partners as he walked over to Valkyr. Valkyr looked exhausted, mostly due to fighting her electrical restraints. Now she had no strength left.

“Ahh, it’s so good to have my prized experiment back in my hands once again, I have missed you,” Alad mocked as he ran his hand across her face (Helmet is off)

Her face showed no emotion as Mag tried to break free of the restraints along with Clem but got a massive shock and soon stopped.

“Clem, Grakata!” Clem cursed as Alad pressed a button, sending a shock to his restraints “Clem…”

“I swear when Excalibur and the others come for us you’ll be sorry!” Mag shouted as Alad just smiled as he rubbed his hands together

“Now, now there’s no need to fight, you will all contribute to my project very soon,” Then he looked back to Valkyr as he looked into her cold eyes

“But you will make a fine pet for ‘Him’,” He said as she glanced at him and then back to the ground “But then again, I don’t think your little friend would like that,”

She then looked up and saw him smiling.

“Yes that ‘Reaper’, he will make a fine addition to my project,” Alad said menacingly as Valkyr just glared back as he sent a shock of electricity to her restraints as she gasped

Alad V then walked off and then heard commotion outside the door as he smirked “Now let the tests begin,”

“Clem!” Clem shouted as Alad just spat in disgust

“You, will be dealt with later!” He snapped as a bolt of lightning shot passed them all and then he smiled “I’m glad you could all make it,”

Nekros was the first to react as he looked over at the others and brought out his Scythe.

“I’m going to use your intestines as a condom and fuck you in the eye!” He shouted, this made Alad take a step back before laughing it off

"Of course that 'reject' of a Corpus has sent his new peasants to disrupt my business," he mocked as they all readied their weapons to attack

"When i get my hands on you, i'll make you with you died with them all those years ago!" Excalibur shouted as Rhino looked at him with an uneasy expression

“Please then, come closer, let me introduce my new line of robotics, hybridised with warframe components,” Alad said as his disk around his neck activated and soon something came out of the darkness, something that sent chills up their spines

As it moved in the shadows it walked on all fours and seemed to have a blue and black colour to it's hide as it walked up.

“(Zanuka), KILL!!!” as he finished the sentence the monster pounced towards them, now it was a fight for their lives, but all unaware to the shadows drawing near
