"Oh come on!" Said Spike. "We have to fight against all of these changelings? Give me a break!"
With a large amount of confidence and cockiness, Rainbow said "no problem." Then she craved her wings and knuckles. "We defeated Changelings before, we can beat them again."
"Rainbow's right." Twilight agreed. "We have all defeated many enemies more stronger than this. Besides, numbers don't really win a battle against a really powerful force like us."
"No." Link said. "But of course they help on some degree."
Then the leader of the horde hisses and charged at them all, with the others following him posthaste. Nonetheless, Link and his friends were not scared by this little murder attempt in them all. With the Master Sword on Link's side, anything is possible for him, and his allies.
The warriors on the side of good charged at them, and they clashed. Link kept slicing the Master Sword at the incubi like creatures here and there, killing them instantly.
Rainbow was the one having the most fun with it. She was a fighting machine thanks to her athletic abilities and boastful pride. It was never enough for her, or so she thought. Suddenly, she lost her balance and a pair of changelings were about to finish her off, however, Fluttershy came to her aid and whooped them all.
"Nopony hurts my friends!" Fluttershy said really angry-like. The few other changelings flew away in terror from her to avoid getting their wings clipped, or faces pounded to a pulp. Fluttershy smiled in a triumph. "Are you okay, Rainbow?" She asked her while pulling her up, back on her feet.
"Yeah, totally. Thanks to you."
"Oh well, you know." She flustered. But she did not realize that another changeling was sneaking up behind her, then Rainbow said "Duck!"
Then Fluttershy did what she told him to do, and ducked on the floor. Rainbow punched the changeling hard in the face, throwing it to the wall.
"Thank you."
"What are friends for, Flutters?"
Meanwhile Pinkie was blasting many changelings away with her party cannon that she has just randomly had. After all, she is just being Pinkie Pie, as her friends would say.
Mathayus was like a big, heavy tank against the insect-like monsters. Whenever any changeling was trying to kill him, he would always thwart them with his mighty sword, bash them with his large shield, and even kill them by snapping their necks like a bunch of sticks and twigs.
They all had to be careful while they were fighting the demonic changelings, because not only where themselves in the castle, but there were also guards and nobles, also turned to stone like the ponies in Canterlot outside.
After ten long minutes, they managed to get rid of this little army. The stoned ponies and guards were not broken, or harmed, which was good. However, they realized the castle looked way more different the last time they were there. The walls were blackish-purple, and had torches that looked demonic. Lastly, the stain-glass windows were replaced with a dark purple with depictions of changelings killing ponies in certain ways, and Chrysalis being on a hill in triumph, as if she won a great battle, and taken over the throne.
"Chrysalis has really done it this time." Said Rarity with anger. "All of these are a crime against fashion, and decoration!"
"Things are starting to become worse." Said Mathayus. "A lot worse."
"Eeyup."
"And all of these ponies turned stone like this." Said Twilight. "This is unforgivable."
They all agreed with her. "Unless this is the other villain that my evil twin said before he died." Link had a theory. They all thought about what he just said, and realized that Chrysalis couldn't create this, because she was not capable of it. Perhaps this is all the work of someone else.
"I think you're right, Link." Said Fluttershy. "Chrysalis cannot be that powerful to create all if this horror."
"Then we have no time to lose."
"Do you think that there might be anypony that wasn't turned to stone?" Asked Rarity. "Perhaps we should search for anypony who was not turned to stone."
"That doesn't sound very very likely, Rarity." Said Applejack. "By the look of this castle right now, I think the only hope is us if Chrysalis will be defeated again."
"Maybe we should look for anyone who was not turned to stone and get them somewhere safe from here."
They'all agreed, and searched in many different rooms around them, but alas, they found no survivors of the kind that they can save. Turns out Applejack was right about what she had just said. Their only hope now was to end this once and for all. Only that can save all of the innocent lives that turned to statues within Canterlot.
They all progressed their way into the hallways and encountered many enemies as far as the eye can see. Ranging from Bokoblins to Lizalfos to Moblins to Kargaroks.
They then stubbed across a room that had a few helmasaurs within and a large helmasaurus with lower pig snorting , and they were all about to charge at them, sounding like a bunch of pigs.
"Aww, look at them." Fluttershy said. Before another fight broke out, Fluttershy stopped both sides and shouted "Wait!"
"What are you doing, Fluttershy?" Link asked
"Trust me." Then she was fuse to face with the reptilian creatures, and petted one. The beast"s demeanor changed from aggressive to relaxed, making a kind of purring sound.
Next she tended to the larger helmasaurus, and it began licking her face , making her laugh. "Oh you're so sdorable." She said.
Link was a little confused, but remembered the keese from the other day, then smiled. "Well what do you know."
"How did you do that?" Asked Spike.
"They are just like any other animal." Fluttershy clarified to her friends. "Yes, you're not bad helmasaurs. You were just misunderstood. Now let's take off those armor." Then she took all those plated armor off the smaller ones, but was having trouble with the one on the larger creature. Then Link went to help her, smiling at her.
"Need a little help?" He said.
"Thank you, Link."
"No problem." Then together, the lifted the helmasaurus' armor off, and Link petted it gently, making an oink in happiness
"Now, go i'll give you all a good home in my cottage after this is over."
"Is that even a good idea?" Twilight whispered in Link's ear
"Trust her." Link replied. "She knows what she's doing."
"Yes, Twilight. Let her do what she loves best." Discord added proudly.
"Well, now that you have new members of the family, we might as well get going." Link noted. They all agreed with him, and now, with the helmasaur family as allies, they were all getting closer. Hopefully, they were all not too late to put an end to the chaos.
"Do you all think Celestia and Luna might have turned to stone too?" Asked Spike
"Probably." Said Twilight. "I don't even know if I want to think about it, Spike. Oh, I hope they didn't."
"Well, there is only one way to find out." Said Zecora. "We will be going further about what this chaos is all about."
"She's right." Said Rarity.
Then as they progressed into the hallways and rooms, they stumbled upon a someways larger room than the other ones besides the throne room, but with no lights or candles lit. Twilight and the unicorns were about to use their horns to light the way, but then the lights all went on in an instant.
In front of them was a large, horrible armored creature that was a little bigger than a darknut, except he was not as armored them, and it was obese. The weapon he had was a large ball and chain that looks like Link's. except it was black and the spikes looked more sharp. It had a short, stubby tail showing, like a reptilian of some kind.
"Oh no, Darkhammer." Link muttered. "Guys, stand back. "This guys' dangerous, well, more dangerous than the other enemies."
"Have you foug him before?" Asked Fluttershy
"Yeah, so don't worry, this won't take long."
"You heard hm, my dear friends, stay back." Discord said, pushing them all back so they wouldn't get hurt on the process of the upcoming fight.
"So, the hero finally comes to take on the bug lady?" Said the beast in a monstrous, rumbling voice. "I am impressed that you made it this far. But I am afraid you are no match for me." Then he readied his weapon
"Be careful, Link!" Rainbow said "and really kick his butt!"
"I'll be fine."
The Darkhammer began swinging his ball and chain in the air, and finally made a move, causing a low rumble to erupt with the sound of a metal crashing on the floor.
Link dodged it and struck it's mask. The others were horrified by it's appearance. It has a grey orange type of color, and the face was toad-like, or bearded dragon like on appearance, with small ram-like horns making him look even more menacing.
"And they called changelings ugly, but this? This is a whole new level." Discord noted.
"Whoa, you're even uglier than I thought."
"Grotesque and beyond hideous!" Rarity said
"Hmph, and this from the pony who wears too much mascara on her eyes? You look like a zombie with such horrible ways to make you stay beautiful. Why waste your time on makeup when all it does is make you look like a bimbo?"
Rarity gasped with offense and her cheeks flustered with anger. "well, I never!" She huffed.
Pinkie and Rainbow were snickering. "He just owned you, Rarity." Said Pinkie.
"Now this I have got to put in my book of insult comedy." Discord muttered
"What?"
"Nothing, nothing."
"Well, this guys is about to be owned too." Link noted. Then the fight continued, and Link dodged as many attacks from the Darkhammer as much as possible. After many long minutes, Link stabbed the monster right through his face, and it fell dead. Turning to dust."
The others cheered on for him.
"Nice going, Link!" Said Big Mac. "You really nailed him."
"Come on, let's keep moving. We can have celebrations later."
"Right!" They all agreed, and finally entered the throne room. It was definitely far different then the last time Link set foot in it. They all knew that something was very wrong.
"Hello?" Discord called out. "Tia? Luna? Are you in here? Give me a sign optic you're alright." But alas, there was no response form either one of them.
Then, all of a sudden, a spotlight went up, and they could hardly believe what they were all seeing. Link gasped and a tearful smile formed on his face. It was Colin. He ran up to him, and hugged him.
"Colin." The Hylian said. "I was so worried about you. Oh, I am so sorry that I didn't protect you against Chrysalis."
"That's okay, Link." Colin replied. Then Link noticed that his voice was..... Not what he would usually hear. He looked at his eyes and noticed they were.... Green colored and his pupils were gone. What he replied was in a zombie-like monotone. "Colin, are- Are you okay?" He asked him
"Of course." The boy replied, still on a monotone. "Chrysalis was more than nice to be my friend."
"What?"
"Link, he has been brainwashed!" Said Mathayus.
And all of a sudden, the lights flashed onl and it revealed Chrysalis behind the boy, and the ours behind the hero gasped with horror as they saw both Celestia and Luna in stone, with horrified looks on their faces.
"Oh no!" Said Twilight. "They have been turned into stone!"
"We're too late, they were powerless against the changeling queen's hate." Said Zecora with the same amount of horror as th purple allicorn.
"Ah, so glad you can join us." Said the queen wickedly.
"What have you done with Colin?" Link snarled at her.
"I made him..... More calm to say the least, hehe. Don't worry though, I did not hurt him. And for your information, I did not entirely turn him like this, or your precious princess' into stone if that is what you are all thinking." Then she saw Thorax, and frowned "well well well, Thorax, why am I not surprised to discover your treachery?"
Grudgingly, Thorax said "hello, mother."
"Yoy are no son of mine. You are a traitor to the changelings. Oh how can I care for a creature such as yourself?"
"Don't you dare insult my friend!" Spike threatened
"Ooh, I am so scared of a worthless, pathetic, weakling dragon like yourself." Chrysalis mocked.
"Now you made me mad! Get him Link!' Said Thorax
"With pleasure."
Link swung his sword, trying to decapitate her, but she disappeared and said on the footsteps that lead to the throne. "Oh come now, let's not be too hasty. Besides, my new friend is more than happy to see you."
"Who?"
The throne, who had once been facing it's back on him and the others, revealed someone that made Link gasp and make a face of horror and disbelief. It was a tall Gerudo man with black armor, a long cape, and long hair tied to a brooch.
The man grinned wickedly. "Good to see you, Link."
"Ganondorf?!" Link said with complete disbelief.
"I see that you are also in this land of Equestria." Then he got off the throne. "I welcome you Twilight Sparkle, and her friends to my presence."
The others were as equally surprised as Link was.
"He's big." Said Lyra. "And he looks more evil than Link said he was."
"I know. I hope Link can handle this." Bon Bon agreed.
"How.... How is it that you're still alive?" Link said. "I killed you with the Master Sword.
"Heh, what you did was a temporary setback, Link." Ganondorf replied. "Sure, you may have pierced the blade of evil's bane through my chest, but it was meaningless. No matter how many times I fall, the Triforce of Power keeps calling me back."
"Why would it even do that if you are evil? Can't you just die already?" Said Rainbow. "Why would it even chose you if you are a king of evil?"
Ganondorf made a small laugh. "You poor, naive mare. The Triforce can be given to anyone if worthy enough, and I can assure you that I am more than worthy to hold all three pieces of the Triforce." Then the demon king noticed Mathayus. "Ah, so the miserable failure comes to me again."
The darknut made a grunt. "Ganondorf, you are nothing but a liar, a thief, and a warmonger." He said angrily. "You will lay for deceiving me and my people,"
The demon king sneered. "We will see about that. You have brought it upon yourself. "And I see that you, Fluttershy, have tamed some of those savage beasts. I have heard so much about you, and your gift to animals."
"You know about us?" Asked Twilight
"Oh I know all about the rest of you." Ganondorf replied "like the fact that you defeated Nightmare Moon, Discord, and Chrysalis in the last before. Do you all know who I am?"
"Yes." They all said with hate and anger.
"You're Ganondorf, the king of evil and darkness." Said Spike
"Exactly. I must say I am flattered to meet you all. And of course, I welcome you Discord, Lyra, Bon Bon, Zecora, and Big Macintosh."
Link then said "now hat we all met, what do you want with Equestria?"
"What do I want with Equestria?" Said Ganon. "I want to rule it, of course. My dear Chrysalis was more than happy to help me with a conquest together." Then he shared his hand with Chrysalis' hoof. "Isn't that right, my darling?"
"Oh Ganondorf, you are making me flush." Chrysalis replied with flattery. The. They both kissed on their lips, making Link and his friends groan in disgust and go "eww, gross!"
"I don't know how I'm going to sleep now." Said Applejack.
"Anywho, my new love was more than happy to lend me some of her power so we can rule together."
"You're the one who turned Celestia to stone!?" Said Twilight. "You monster! You won't get away with this!" They all agreed with her.
"Oh I think I will. And do not worry, these weak rulers will make a perfect decoration for a garden I was thinking of creating."
"Let me at him!" Said Rainbow. The. She charge at him full of zeal
"Rainbow, don't!" Fluttershy tried to stop her. Ganondorf sneered and whacked her so hard, she flung across the room, on a brick wall. Her friends went to her aid.
"Oww, my wing." She said. Her right wing was purely broken, and it stung her like hell.
"Are you okay?" Asked Pinkie
"No, my wing is totally clipped."
"Foolish pony. You would dare to challenge I the demon king?" Ganondorf mocked "tsk tsk tsk, not a very wise move to do, Rainbow Dash"
"I'll show you, foolish." Rainbow said, even more winded up." She tried to get him again, but Twilight stopped her this time.
"Rainbow, you are in no condition to fight him, do you want your other wing clipped as well?"
"Fine. Ow."
"Okay, Ganondorf, what have you done with Celestia and Luna?" Link said.
"Oh, I just turned them into statues with my magic, rather easy once you think about it, Link. When you are a warlock like me, you can do about anything you want with the powers he possesses.
"And Colin!" Link shouted. "What did you do to him?!"
Ganondorf laughed evilly and replied "do not worry, he is fine. Colin is mine now. I saw that he was like a brother to you, and so I decided to make him my.. Apprentice to say the least." The demon king put his large hand over the kid's shoulder.
"Don't touch him!"
"Oh come now, Link. Let's not be too hasty and irrational."
"Colin, please! Come back to me! I am your friend, and..... My brother."" He wanted to shed tears from his eyes as he was begging for Colin to come back to him.
"No. The only friend I need is Ganondorf." He replied. "Lord Ganondorf is the greatest guy ever, and he would make an amazing ruler for Equestria."
"Colin." He realized that Colin could not be saved like this, and he might be gone forever. Then he gave Ganondorf an angry stare full of hatred. "Ganondorf, I will never forgive you for this." He said.
"Ha! I would never even be caught dead asking for YOUR forgiveness, so-called hero!"
Link was more than ready to fight the demon king once more. "You can't win! I killed you once, I can kill you again!"
Ganondorf laughed even louder. "Oh but this time, I am more powerful than I ever was before. Now, Colin, please be a good boy, and destroy him for me, please?"
"Yes, my lord."
"Oh no no no." Said Link
"This is not good." Said Rarity.
"Oh I can't watch!" Fluttershy sobbed. However she was watching the whole thing, anyway.
"This is awful." Said Lyra
Yes, it is beyond bad for Link and his friends. Link could not believe that it would come to this.
