Chapter 1:
Zero to Hero
Excalibur being a 1000-year-old human had the intelligence of a super computer itself and put little to no effort into his work as he aced it all. But there is one thing he can never escape and that’s a pink blur that constantly pops up out of nowhere.
“Bloody hell what is she!” Excalibur shouted as he rounded another corner to escape his pursuer but ended up colliding with someone as he fell to the floor “Ow...”
“Daren’t are you alright?” Came a very country like voice as Excalibur noticed he had ran into a girl
“Yea sorry I should have paid attention to where I was going” He said as he got up and help the girl to her feet also before realizing what he was doing prior to this “Um excuse me for a sec”
Before she could answer Excalibur shoved her and himself into a storage closet as he watched through the blurred window as a shadow slowly passed by. Then he and the girl exited the room
“Sorry wasn’t sure if you rad me out” Excalibur said as the girl spoke
“Yea well next time tell me when you’re gonna do that” She snapped
“Well besides from that I’m Excalibur and who the hell was that?” Excalibur asked as he shook hands with the girl
“I’m Applejack and that was Pinkie Being Pinkie, so I’m guessing your new?” She answered as Excalibur nodded “Well sooner or later she’s going to get ya”
“Well good to know and speaking of which I’ll seeya later” Excalibur said before running off “Leave me alone you crazy demon!”
“Oh hey Applejack you should have told me he went this way” the ecstatic Pinkie said before being halted
“Now Pinkie I think it will be better if you don’t scare him off” Applejack said as Pinkie nodded rapidly “Good, now shall we be going?”
“Okie-Dokie-Loki!”
Later…
“I really hope that pink girl gave up by now…” Excalibur thought then he was interrupted by the presence of someone
Excalibur then noticed Applejack standing beside him as he turned to face her.
“Hey Applejack what’s up?” Excalibur asked casually as he felt eyes on him as he saw 6 other girls in the distance staring at him
“Hey Excalibur I was wondering if you would like to come with me and my friends to Sugarcube Corner later?” Applejack asked as Excalibur thought about it for a moment
“Do these friends happen to be staring at me right now?” Excalibur asked as he and Applejack glanced at the table and saw the heads of the 6 snap around “I would love to but I’ve got to head home, I’m... I'm waiting to hear about my Sister”
“Bloody hell why did I just say that!”
“Your sister, why did something happen to her?” Applejack asked as she sat down in front of him as Excalibur looked down
“Yea let’s just say that she’s recovering right now and afterwards she’ll be coming here but I just want to be there when she’s better” Excalibur forced out as he clenched his fist
“Why, how did she get injured?” Applejack asked with concern in her voice
“Well let’s just say if I ever see the person who did what they did I will make them pay” Excalibur said with anger but soon calmed down as he felt something on his fist and noticed Applejack resting her hand on his
“Thanks, you don’t want to know what happens when I get angry”
“Thanks Applejack” Excalibur responded
“My friends call me AJ” She spoke back
“Wait you consider me a friend?” Excalibur asked in confusion
“Well sure anyone willing to be there for their family is a friend of mine and you weren’t lying neither” Applejack answered as Excalibur smiled
“Alright then but I think I can hang out for a short amount of time if that gets your friends eyes off of me” Excalibur said as he gestured his head at them “Oh and you can let my hand go now”
Applejack noticed this and recoiled back as she hid her face a bit and then noticed the grins on her friends faces making it worse
“Alright then I’ll see later then” Excalibur added
“Uhh y-yea” AJ responded before walking away“And they say I’m socially awkward, ha suck it Nekros”
*Somewhere in the System*
A guy in a pitch black room sat there with a candle, holding a deck of cards as he paused
"He's bloody late..." he said then went back to shuffling the deck
“So let me get this straight, you are from another dimension which is filled with talking ponies and you are a princess there?” Excalibur asked still in disbelief at Twilight’s dimension story
“Hard to believe right?” Dash asked as Excalibur nodded
“You know I think you just broke something in my mind” Excalibur responded
“Yes well I can show you the portal if you want?” Twilight asked as all 8 of them kept walking down the street towards the main part of town
“No-no I think I’ll take your word to save me a mental breakdown” Excalibur said as he waved his hands in protest
“Yes well besides that you should really see about getting new clothing, the one’s you wear are so dull darling” Rarity suggested as Excalibur gripped his white jacket
“Hey I like my jacket!” He snapped in protest “No one touches my jacket”
“Still you sure you can come with us? I mean wouldn’t you want to be with your sister?” Applejack asked as all eyes went from her to Excalibur as he spoke simply
“No because if I did skip on this she would say ‘Don’t let me slow you down bro unlike Rhino’ and then proceed to sculled me for it” Excalibur finished
“What is your sister like?” Twilight asked as Excalibur thought for a moment and smiled at the thought
“Well she’s almost like Pinkie, happy, hyper, nice and even if she’s my little sister she always has my back like she’s the older one” Excalibur said as memories flooded back “I swear if Pinkie and Valkyr looked the same you wouldn’t know who’s who”
“Valkyr that’s your sister’s name?” Sunset asked with curiosity
“Yea; ’Any of the beautiful maidens who serve Odin and ride over battlefields to claim the dead heroes and take them to Valhalla’ quite the unique name” Excalibur said as he thought about it
“Almost like yours being the legendary sword” Applejack responded as Excalibur smiled
“Yea I guess-“
*ROOOOAAAAR!!!*
“What the hell was that!” Excalibur shouted as the group ran round the corner and saw something strange but to Excalibur it was all too familiar
What stood before the ruined street was a red and black (Dragon) that seemed to shed its skin and its skin hovered about it as fire circled around it as it roared
“Alright I’m going to call for help you girls stay here and stay down!” Excalibur shouted before running off knowing just how painful this fight is going to be
"Ordis deploy Archwing, its time to lock and load..!"
5 Minutes Later…
A squad of officers created a barricade as they began to unload every clip into the beast but nothing worked as it slowly made its way forward, preparing to fire another killing blow before the sound of engines roared from the distance and then before anyone could find the source 2 feet connected with the beast’s head sending it flying back. What they saw was even stranger.
It was a humanoid (Figure) with weapons holstered on parts of his body and had rectangular plates (Dendra armour) as it then spoke to everyone’s surprise
“Officers I need you to get any innocents out of the creature’s way now!” it shouted as an officer spoke up
“And why should we listen to you terr- “He paused as the guy pulled out a golden-white pistol and aimed it at the officer
“Unless you want the rest of the town to burn do what I say” he said as they all nodded and got to work but the group of girls watched as he upholstered a katana and held it, pointed at the beast
“Tenno stand down or I won’t show you mercy” He said as a fire ball rushed passed his face “Ok then-“he paused as he held his hand up to his head
“Yea- really?... ok-ok I got it thanks Ordis… alright Lock and Load!” he shouted as he rushed forward and so did the beast as brute force collided with blade as sparks flew
“Watch Out!” Dash shouted as a fist connected with Excalibur’s chest sending flying back
Then as he struggled to stand another collided with his side sending him into a building next to the girls as he groaned in pain. he then rush in towards the beast and punch it dead in the face as it stumbled backwards only to have Excalibur rapidly throw punches into the beast's chest and followed up with a kick sending it crashing into another building as bricks fell onto the creature's body
Then a bunch of gasps were heard as Excalibur turned to see fire in his vision as the fire blast sent him back into the wall he was originally in
“Hey are you alright?” Applejack said as her and Applejack helped Excalibur out of the hole he made as he fell to his knees
“What are you doing get out of here!” Excalibur said as the beast slowly approached them as his hide reattached making him bigger
“Hey you want him you’re going to need to get through us!” Dash shouted as the beast kept coming closer, unfazed by her words as it began to lift its arm up to finish the job
Excalibur then brought out his pistol but it was swiftly kick out of his hand as he grunted agenst the force of the kick
“Bloody hell are you juicing?” Excalibur asked jokingly
Then all of them were surprised by a fist connecting with the beast’s face sending it rolling into the tarmac as its claws dug into the ground to stop it’s tumbling.
They all looked at the (Female) humanoid with orange claws made of energy as she walked over and lifted Excalibur off the ground just as her claws disappeared
“Hey what took you so long?” Excalibur joked
“Oh you know the fact you have an archwing and I don’t” Valkyr said crossing her arms as Excalibur waved his arms in defence
“Hey I’m low on resources after paying for that recovery pod” He said defensively “But still we have bigger fish to fry” he then pointed at the beast slowly approaching
“Ordis said there’s a thing on the back of his neck and might be the reason behind his rage” Valkyr said as they both looked at each other and nodded “You ready?”
“As always… NOW!” Excalibur shouted as he and Valkyr ran straight at the beast as it charged also
What it didn’t expect was for Valkyr to use Ripline and for them both to clothesline the beast to the ground. Excalibur then did a 180 and ran towards the beast and jumped on his back and began to pull at the glowing chip in his neck which sent electrical energy up his arm in protest
“Ahhh come off you bloody machine!!!” Excalibur yelled as he flung back with the chip in hand silencing the beast as it fell to the ground with a thud
Excalibur then grabbed his blade and holstered it then the sound of cheering came from the small crowd of people that formed. But then instantly they all gasped as the beast rose to its feet but held its head in discomfort as it turned to face the two Tenno
“You alright buddy?” Excalibur asked as it nodded but soon the three looked at the swat force that pointed guns in their direction as Excalibur slowly walked in front of the two
“Freeze Terrorists you are under arrest!” the leader spoke as Excalibur laughed as a bullet bounced off his helmet earning a lot of gasps from people
“Right well tell me if that bullet couldn’t hurt me what chance did you have in beating my fiery friend over here” Excalibur pointed to the beast as it huffed
“Now it’s been fun so let this be the day that you almost caught us Tenno!” Valkyr shouted as everyone was soon blinded by a light and once it faded the 3 Tenno were gone
“Hey you girls alright!” Excalibur shouted as he ran up to the group
“Yea but where the heck were you, you missed all the action?!” Dash snapped as Excalibur shrugged
“What trying to explain that there’s a dragon in town is kind of… difficult” Excalibur lied as glanced at the carnage and whistled “I hate to be the one who lives there”
“They called themselves the Tenno I wonder who they are?” Twilight asked as Dash spoke up
“Well whoever they are they have guts to speak to my dad like that” Dash said as Excalibur’s mind raced
“Wait you mean that guy was… ohhhh boy…”
“Well anyhow I’ve got to get going so seeya tomorrow girls” Excalibur responded as he ran off towards his sadly expensive home
“and then there was 2 million” Excalibur mumbled then his mind went back to the message engraved on the chip which still confused him as much as the others
"1 down now only an army to go”
“*Sigh* I guess I’m back to being a hero again… I just hope it doesn’t end the same way…”
