Hi! I'm here to tell you a story about an awesome pony called Shooting Star, and the first day of his life. Gotta warn you though—it's a kinda sad story, and whenever I hear it, I start to cry. But it's a story that should be told.

.... You broke my eyes....
That was sad. A little much for a newborn, but still, really touching and depressing all at the same time.
Thanks for the good story.
Was leaning towards one ending halfway through; they did everything so quickly. And yet... Dam', that's sad.
Have a thumb and fav'.
Daaaaaaaaaamn... I saw this and thought: Hey this kinda looks like my story!
*Reads story*
*Lies down*
*Tries not to cry*
*Cries a lot*
Commence read.
This was quite a sad story.

Oh you fabulous monster XD
Ah, this had the feels. It definitely captured the basis very well. For me, there was an additional underpinning of sadness coming from the perspective of Shining Star. They essentially gave him a name close to his brother's, which gives this added feeling of 'trying to replace' to the tale. Having lost an infant older brother - and an older sister - myself, I really couple to these vibes. My parents were going to give me his name as my middle name - for example - but opted not to in the end. Touching - thought-provoking work here.
I cried... A lot
Truly an amazing story.
I did possibly notice one typo. Not sure if you meant it to say this or not.
One of your paragraphs started like that. Was it supposed to be oh man? If not sorry I pointed it out.
6136000 It was a ponification of "oh man" because there aren't any men in Equestria.
6137218 oh okay. I just wasn't sure.
This is beautifully done.
So I was going through stories I'd favorited long ago.
And someone had to have started chopping onions nearby.
Yeah.
That's it.
Short little relatively simple story, and yet the last few paragraphs get me good.
Well done.

I usually don't write sad stuff, but I remember being in quite a mood when I wrote this out.
