Opaline Arcana has sowed dissent and anger across Equestria. With the nation divided, Princess Twilight Sparkle and her friends are struggling to contain the ambitious alicorn. If something isn't done soon, Twilight will have no choice but to store Equestria's magic into the Unity Crystals, putting all of ponykind at risk.

Before that, though, Twilight has an idea. There's a prisoner locked away in Tartarus that was forgotten by history. He might be just what they need to stop Opaline. However, letting him loose could spell disaster for Equestria.

It's a risk she has to take.

While singing her villain song, Opaline accidentally opens a line of communication with Misty. This quickly devolves into a conversation about the aspects of Opaline's songwriting...and, for some reason, movie villains.

(Honestly, this was something that popped in my head. Please don't take it too seriously.)

With only one minion to her name, Opaline finds herself in a bind when Misty falls ill. Cooking, cleaning, and infiltrating Maretime Bay for medicine become the least of Opaline's problems as she contemplates exactly what Misty means to her – or rather, as she tries to not contemplate it.

Self-doubt is unbecoming for a perfect alicorn, after all.

Opaline Arcana has stolen Sunny's Dad's book and has lead the mane six on a chase to a pre-war bunker in Manehattan. Whatever she is up to, it can't be good. Sunny must confront Opaline and ponykind's past by herself.

Opaline had stolen the cutie marks from half of Equestria and was rapidly conquering the rest. Even the fake alicorn Sunny Starscout and her minions were faltering before her. One more push would bring Opaline to her final victory.

After so many nights of trying, Misty finally succeeds in capturing Sparky! She is so excited as Opaline will finally be proud of her and give her a cutie mark as promised, something she has always wanted since fillyhood.

However, she is about to learn a very hard lesson….

When Misty gave her the modern device called a phone, she thought she'd only use it to occasionally check on her foes, maybe watch some of their make up videos after all evil has to look good, and of course listen to the songs and OH THEY HAVE MERCH... this might be a problem

First it was stealing Sunny's lantern. Then it was snatching up little baby dragon Sparky. Misty has just failed in not one, but two critical missions Opaline ordered of her. Though she had tried her absolute hardest, that didn't stop Opaline from really letting her have it—so much so that Misty begins to reflect on where she's at in life.
