For those of you who don’t care to read it all, or at all.

TLDR: I’m officially canceling "Little Pony" after reevaluating some things, my complications mixed with other prevalent things about the story have made me come to this conclusion. I’m still writing on the site, though.

It might seem a little sudden, or maybe, it’s something that’s been a long time coming. My thoughts are jumbled but I think you can get the gist.

I can’t keep lying to myself and saying that I’ll continue with this story and have a concrete ending to it, it’s just going to keep calling to me from the back of my head.

The story was my first story on the site, it’s had ups and downs. Many downs, but I think it’s finally time I just accept what’s already been said about it.

I think I remember someone saying that the way I was writing this story was like kicking a dead horse, and at the time, I thought otherwise. But now that I’m paying more attention, I think it’s true. No, I believe it’s true.

I can’t even remember what I was originally planning with the story, it was there in my head when I began the story but slowly fizzled out as I posted chapter after chapter. Granted, I wasn’t sure how to write in general when I started, still probably don’t know how to. But I think it’s time for me to finally hang it up.

The story is a mess, grammar-wise, it’s appalling and the numerous jumps and cuts to different situations are, in my opinion, terrible.

I love the character of Speckles, but I think I just shot for too much for what it was supposed to be. The spike in people commenting and actually liking the story might’ve made me overconfident in something I didn’t really plan out.

And when I say that I knew what I was doing, I lied, I wrote this story in my bed in the middle of the night after failing with my original story. There was no second thought, no foresight, and nothing else.

Heck, “Little Pony” was supposed to be about a pony with dwarfism.

I still suck at saying what I want to say in words, but to those that liked the story and frequently commented, even the comments that made me reconsider the existence of the story, I thank you. Because knowing that even if I wrote a story that was a shadow of what it could’ve been, people saw that it was well, something worth noting, even if briefly. That people liked what I put out.

Might sound a little stupid because I’m just a faceless guy who writes stories about a children's show, but really, thank you for sticking with this story despite me ignoring what I could’ve done to prevent myself from falling out of love with it.

Just because I’m discontinuing this story doesn’t mean I will stop writing stories about My Little Pony in its entirety, because I was truthful in the original author’s note. I was writing another story, this one with an actual plot this time around, none of what “Little Pony” was.

Anyway, this is longer than it needs to be.

Thanks to you for sticking it out and enjoying it while it lasted. Sorry for getting your hopes up, again.

Oh.

Well that's disappointing to hear, but understandable all the same.
A shame really, I did enjoy the story.

I wish you luck in your other story.

Why does it allways have to be the best stories that get cancelled? :fluttercry::fluttercry::fluttercry::fluttercry::fluttercry::fluttercry:

Seriously. I loved this story and I would love it even more if you continue this. And while you say you give up on it. I hope you reconsider and pick it up again one day.

In a way it's a shame to see it end, but I agree with the ups and downs. Overall though for your first story it was good

While it's a shame that the story is getting cancelled, I agree that it did have its ups and downs while also being somewhat all over the place. It was an overall enjoyable piece of literature and I wish you luck in the other story and I look forward to begin reading it whenever you get around to posting it!

This is definitely of my favorite stories ever. The way Speckles kept pwning changelings, the princesses, and Twilight was amazing. And I loved the family dynamic you put together; it was warm and sweet.

Until next time

Growing as a author means you see mistakes of the past. Hope you have more luck and fun with next story. There is always a chance of a reboot after some time, who knows.

Hey, thanks for letting us know. There's a lot of stories around that have ended without any input or warning from their authors, so I'm really glad you came up and let us all know why you're putting the story down.

I enjoyed your fic, and kept up with it pretty much the entire time, despite it's flaws. Story wise, it started to feel aimless after a while. I could tell things weren't really being planned out, but it made me feel like I was reading something you enjoyed writing for fun, and it helped me enjoy reading it in turn.
And the way you wrote your characters? They were lovely.
Speckles, Ma, Spitfire, and the world you built around them? It was fun. Watching them interact with each other and live life felt great; You wrote them well. They felt cozy, and loved, and they're what I'll miss the most.
I'm looking forwards to your next release, but more than anything I hope you enjoy whatever it is you're writing next. Please don't let your expectations or ours withhold you from enjoying writing. Despite all the support you've received, it doesn't mean you owe us anything, y'know? The decision to write hors words lies in your hands. Hooves. Appendages.

Thanks for the story, I enjoyed it. Sorry for the word dump, I hardly get to thank authors before their stories have finished.

Drag. I was wondering where that story would go next. Oh, well. :ajsleepy:

How about a sendoff?

That's a shame. I've had "Little Pony" sitting in my "To-Read" pile for awhile now, haven't actually cracked it open yet. Ah well. If you aren't feeling it, that's just how it is. I hope you can find a story that you do feel up to sharing with us.

Why not and Try to re work it, but with an end goal thus time. It happens all the time.

I hope to see Speckles in another story one day.

At least give us a reboot at a later time.

This had some of, if not the best family moments I have seen on this site.

Also where are your other stories?

Sad to see it but understandable look forward to what you wil write ln the future

Too bad. It was interesting to read about the nice everyday life

I understand the decision, and I enjoyed what you have written. Speckles is a cutie pie, and it was certainly a fun little read for me as it was.
