Four musical ponies form a band. Can, the young and inexperienced, Sweetie Belle hold the group together as they tour Equestria, or will they fall into disharmony due to contrasting personalities and styles of music?
How will Sweetie Belle deal with her Special Talent becoming stranger, as it becomes stronger? Will the relationship between Bon Bon and Lyra survive the Tour? Can Octavia expand beyond her current musical range? Is Vinyl Scratch more then just a disc jockey and roadie for the band?

I am slowly getting over that writer's block with regards to the confrontation at the concert.
That takes care of the setting; It's the dialog. and maybe some action, that is giving me the most trouble.
What I imagine so far:
Princess Twilight Sparkle shows up at the Manehattan concert, with the magic song book.
Does a minor detection spell, and discovers that the book did more then give Sweetie Belle her cutie mark; it gave her musical superpowers.
Twilight insists that Sweetie come back to Ponyville so she can be studied.
The band, and surprisingly Trixie, defends Sweetie
What convinces Twilight to back off? Sweetie being watched over by both Trixie and Vinyl?
Okay, now I have something. Beats staring at a blank page, with no idea where to go.
Now that I think about it, I made the right choice on selecting the "Laurel and Hardy" dueling banjo video! (there maybe better versions; but I simply wanted to concentrate on the music.)
Lyra Heartstrings and Octavia Melody as the Laurel and Hardy of The Band is giving me such a huge grin. So far, I have been consistent with that sort of characterization. Of course, I could be way off base!
The Ventures Wipe Out. video is in reference to Scootaloo banging the drums in "One Bad Apple", and some of the fan art of her surfing the waves,

The music is great, especially with the addition of the string section.
But, the constant shaking screen gets a little bit too much, and starts to hurt my eyes.
A Few Firsts:

Had other firsts in mind, but lost it.
I need another pair of eyes. Mine are too tired to catch all the obvious mistakes.
Adding Button Mash gave me another run through; Letting me catch a few more errors; as well as adding some more.
"Someday We'll Be Together" is one song I really wanted the band to do.
At first, just for the band being together; Then as I add to this chapter, there is more shades of meaning; Some that may escape even this author. (Characters having minds of their own; Oh, the horror!)

Sorry, no. I don't have the talent to create any; Nor do I know anyone personally that might contribute.
You got me thinking of some more obscure songs. There is one or two that I heard on some Extra History episodes that I really like.
