Those words from the Dazzlings hit her harder than the rainbow beam. And Sunset began to believe they're all right about her, because it's true.
But fortunately for her, someone who she least expected came and talked some sense into her.
If only Sunset could grow some thick skin and take criticism, maybe she'll find herself again.
Set during Rainbow Rocks.
And also part of the Additional EqG AU and first part of Gilda's Story
This was different, a good kind of different though. Wasn't really sure what to expect when I started reading it other than a talk between Sunset and somebody. Really happy I gave it a chance as I was pleasantly surprised by it. The "discussion" went really well and was pretty on point to what I would expect happening if something like that happened between the two. Have a 👍

I'm glad you enjoyed it. I'm kind of surprised how that the fight scenario doesn't bother you or something. Was it a bit much?

It wasn't too much at all, in fact I think it sounded pretty much how it would go if that scenario came up.
I'm starting to really get why Sunset never told the girls off for the No Offense joke in canon.
She learned to take the criticism on the chin while using it as inspiration to be better.
The joke was never funny to me though.

Exactly. Especially I intended to make Gilda as someone who did a lot better to help than the Rainbooms despite being very rough with Sunset from the start. But at least she helped enough for Sunset to learn.
And yeah, you're probably not the only one who doesn't like the No Offense joke.
so victim blaming is what this fic is about

It may seem that way at first, but then it's more on blaming Sunset for everything she did in ber queen bee days.
I liked this more than I expected. Gilda was good.
