The story takes place in the final weeks of November 1014. Following the Olenian conquest of 1008 and Equestrian invasion in 1011, where the Changelings have made rapid advances into the Equestrian heartland within the last few months.

The Equestrian High Command, desperate to retake core industrial land and population centre, plans a summer offensive. Knowing hundreds of thousands may die should it fail, they now seek all possible alleyway to gain the most advantage as possible before winter ends.

While within Olenia, a general in hiding organized a dormant resistance cell across the southern region, where the largest cities are located. Vital information would come to her which will force both the Changeling and Equestrian to frantically scramble for drastic measure of paramount importance, one that may win them the war.
