The end and beginning

“Twilight!” yelled Zecora as she ran into the map room.

“What is it Zecora, what’s wrong?” Twilight said standing at attention.

“It is not good news I fear for the danger is quite near.” Zecora said frantically.

“Can somepony translate please?” asked Rainbow as she stepped off her throne.

“I was looking for herbs near the tree of harmony, when i saw something frightening.”

“What was it?” asked Meadowbrook as she stood next to Fluttershy.

“The tree is dying.” she said, making the Pillars and the main six gasp in disbelief.

“Not possible, we made it so it could stand to anything, how could it be dying?” Starswirl asked, stroking his beard.

“We need to see this ourselves.” said Mistmane to the main six, Pillars, Starlight, and spike. They nodded in agreement and headed to the cave where it was growing, when they got there sure enough, it was dying.

“Oh no.” Fluttershy said at the edge of tears

“That is the sickest tree I’ve seen, and I’ve seen it all.” AppleJack said looking at the bark

“I don’t get it, what’s wrong with the tree?” asked Twilight “I thought you said that it can’t die.”

“It can’t or at least, that’s what we thought.” Magnus said in shock at what he was seeing

“I can’t find a reason for this, there are no signs of mold fungus or lack of nutrition, so why is it dying?” Meadowbrook said, examining the tree.

[meanwhile at the tree’s POV]

“Uhg they really need to listen, I’m getting tired of them not listening,” she thought, frustrated that no one was trying to listen to her “I’m the only one who knows what’s going on and they spend the little time I have left spitballing,” a sharp pain shoots through her causing her branches to shake “ow! That hurt,” she looked at them and had an idea “if I die the land will be consumed by chaos, but if I give all my power to someone else they will control the land in my place. But it has to be a newborn, so I'll make one.” she then uses her roots to gather hairs from them, and a scale from spike. “Yes!” then she took a seed from a nearby flower and infused it with the DNA and started making it into a new lifeform

[back with the ponies and dragon]

Twilight looked at the tree and saw a bloom coming out of a root “um guys,” she said pointing at the tree “it’s doing something.” they all looked at the bloom as it slowly grew till it was the size of a filly, Starlight touched it and it opened with a flash, there inside it was a small light blue filly with pink and sky blue flowing mane.

“Is that a.. filly?” Asked Applejack walking up to see what had just happened, as Starlight took the filly in her hooves they saw on the inside of her wings some of the feathers were rainbow coloured, under the filly was a note from the tree.

It read “my dear little ponies, my creators, this is my daughter, the one who will control the very aspect of Harmony, she will take my place. I am sorry I will never see her grow into the mare I know she’ll be. And I'm sorry that I need to go, please take care of yourselves, and please take care of my little star.” and that's when the tree withered and died turning into a lifeless husk.

“It's dead.” Starswirl said, taking off his hat and bowing in respect for the tree.

“What now?” Pinkie asked as she walked up to Twilight.

“I guess,” started Starlight as she headed out of the cave with the filly to get her something to eat for when she wakes up, “now we take care of this little one so Equestria will be safe.”

“But what will happen to Equestria while she grows up?” Asked Applejack as they started to follow Starlight back home.

“We can handle controlling everything until she grows up. We did it before the tree so we can do it again.” said Mistmane as she finished using her magic to make the cave more beautiful for the now dead tree.

[After they got back to the castle]

Everyone was discussing who would take care of the baby, “I think Pinkie should do it, she has more experience with babies than I do.” Said Applejack as she spun her hat on her hoof.

“Have you seen me with the twins? I can handle a day, but a lifetime? No way.” said Pinkie Pie as she was making balloon animals for the baby.

“Uh shouldn't we give her a name before deciding on who will be taking care of her?” Asked Somnambula who was holding the baby while Starlight got some baby milk from Mrs. Cake.

“Aye yer right, she does need a name, something that says Harmony.” said Rockhoof, who was letting Rarity braid his beard.

“Um how about something with 'star’ in it?” Suggested Fluttershy as she was petting Angel bunny (and let's be honest, he's no angel).

“What about Crystal Star?” Suggested Mistmane.

“That's a great name.” said Twilight.

“Then it's settled, from this day forth she shall be known as Crystal Star.” Starswirl said as he patted her head.

Starlight entered the room and looked at Somnambula and Crystal, “what's going on?” She asked, “I heard you guys talking about something.” Starlight then gave Somnambula the bottle.

“We decided on a name for the baby.” said Magnus, “her name's now Crystal Star, what do you think?”

“That sounds perfect.”

“So who should take her?” asked Starswirl, everyone looks and sees that she likes Starlight more than anyone else.

“What?” Starlight asked looking up from feeding Crystal.

“are you guys thinking what I'm thinking?” Asked Rockhoof.

“Yep.” everyone replied.

“What?” Asked Starlight, trying not to yell in confusion.

“Want to be a Mom?” Asked Pinkie with a cheeky smile.

“Okay one: that sounded like an invite to party town, two: I don't know if I'm capable of raising a child.” Starlight said as she looked at Crystal, “I'd love to, but I'm not sure,”

“We'll be here to help in any way we can sugar cube.” said Applejack putting a hoof around her, Starlight sighs

“Okay if you think I can do it.”

“We know you can,” Twilight said smiling at her.

“Then does that mean her name will be Crystal Star Glimmer?” Asked Rainbow Dash flying over them.

“Yeah it does,” Starlight said smiling at Crystal, “welcome to the family little Star.”

Good chapter can’t wait for more plus I wonder if Crystal star will be immortal but overall nice chapter.

An intresting consept and I like the wey diss seems to be going, but it allso feels a bit ruched.
It could do whit some more scen description. We know where the scens take place but we dont "see" what is happaning we only get dialougs and some minor things a few charackters are doing in the moment but we dont "see" the moment taking place.
An ex. would be too when they enter the cave whit the tree:

1. What do the cave and the tree look like now that the tree is sick?
2. What are the varius charackters reaktion to the tree looking so sick?

Expand on things like this and the story will become more alive and more enjoy able to read.

This is a pretty interesting start of a story so it looks like Harmony is gone but it left a newborn baby pony with the main 6 and the pillars Starlight glimmer and Spike but it looks like they chose Starlight to keep an eye on the new born baby name Crystal star and hopefully giving the little one a better future for Equestria so I wonder what's going to happen next guess we'll find out next time
