This music is so sad and beautiful. Reminds me of the characters in this game who were in a Romeo and Juliet style love story... I'm Blumiere, Rachel's my Timpani.
Tagged because of the SPM refs in my story.
This is such a beautiful composition of an already beautiful song!
Rachel, AKA Ra Ra, AKA StarLadybugQuinn, is my Timpani, I'm her Blumiere. We'll always love each other, even when we're in Hell. Just like when Timpani was banished to The Underwhere, I will find a way to save her, even if it means destroying the universe!
We’re halfway through the final season already. With the finale so close and almost a decade of pony, I figured I’d take a look at the premiere again. How does it hold up? What looks weird eight seasons later? What sorts of early-series quirks got ironed out later on?
I stink at introductions, so here we go.
Really digging the storybook visual style of the opening. I wish we’d seen more of it.
Do you think all Pegasi have the same wing type (e.g. Pegasus wings), or are there different sub-types of wings like there are with birds (e.g. owl, hummingbird, sea-fowl, birds of prey, etc.)?
Okay, so the inspiration behind this post was a comment that I made on CartoonNerd12’s story Brotherhood and Sisterhood. I had commented that Sunset and Flash were good together but that Twilight and Flash were like peas and carrots. That made me wonder what Sunset and Flash would be if they were a food combo, which led to me wondering what Timber Spruce and Twilight would be if they were a combo. So, lets get started, shall we?
Flash and Twilight: Peas and Carrots
I woke up today, went out to my living to see someone playing No Man's Sky, watched for a bit, got on here and wished someone well after they got sick an responded to a comment on a Russian soccer riot video I posted. I scrolled down on my profile and landed on my stories section of my file and just looked at all of them. Then, my eyes landed on A US Marine in Equestria and Star Wars: CiE and then I looked at the view counters and like/dislike bars and then I thought to myself:
Since even now people (judging from Derpibooru) seem to be upset over this and arguing back and forth, I will offer my two cents.
As a kid my parents and I would often watch old sitcoms and old TV shows, trying to figure out how in this day and age, they can get so much wrong and uninspired. Now granted there are some great shows out there, but the typical sitcom does not manage to have the same level of character, life issues, and or social commentary as many of the old shows.
Throughout my mini-marathon of Make Your Mark Chapter 2 Monday and Tuesday, I had an inkling feeling that it reminded me of Power Rangers.
This morning it clicked.
The show continuously cuts to Opaline's castle, almost always near the end when Misty returns in failure, similar to the cuts to the Moon Palace in Power Rangers.
Unlike many people, I always believed that despite looking and seeming similar to each other Moondancer and Twilight are actually quite different.
Everyone tells you not to compare yourself, and that's a huge truth. But sometimes you're not going to be able to avoid it, so all you can do is avoid the materials that make you compare yourself. Sometimes it's a gut clench reaction that occurs when you least expect it. You think you're completely at peace and comfortable with your own skills, but then you look at someone more popular than you, who does almost the exact same thing as you, and you realize you're not really at peace with it
Well, well. Looks like someone had the same idea as me! Found this pic on derpibooru, and even though it was posted two years ago, it fits the scene in Chapter 1 of Kinks very well!

A Reactception analysis:
Sunset Shimmer and Starlight Glimmer are 2 very different characters. Some may hate me for this but I say Sunset Shimmer is the more evil villain.
