Some of the albums mentioned throughout my story make use of folksy chord progressions history buffs would recognize, which makes sense given a vast majority are from Europe. Twilight might actually notice this in an instance where it's overt. Kind of interesting I didn't notice this before, but it lends to the idea of a deeper historical connection between Earth and Equus. Just a fun little idea to tinker around with while I plan things out.

I'm not saying it's real. I was pointing out I'd insinuated a connection in previous chapters by reworking the timeline a bit. That folksy sound would exist in both worlds regardless of technological differences. On Earth it's just integrated in modern music with different instruments. That's why I was saying twilight would recognize the overall style and composition.
