The Recent passing of Carrie Fisher is a tragic reminder to fans of classic scifi series that the actors who portrayed the characters we love are getting up there in years. Just last year we lost Leonard Nimoy of Star Trek fame.

While many of them have had complicated relationships with the fame and attention they received along with what it did to their careers, many these days have come around to look back and appreciate that they meant something to a lot of people. They mean a lot to people like us. They taught us things, shaped who we are as people whether directly or indirectly. And they will be missed.
