Happy 20th anniversary, Lord of the Rings. Stories, anyone?

    Sweet Celestia I'm old.

What are your favourite LotR crossover fics here on fimfiction?
I still remember 'The White Rider', an amazingly written fic that sadly was never finished.

    Anyway. :b

    Next Generation? Oh yes please.

Must say I loved the movie, it gave a shitty week a wonderful end and I still have the fuzzies 20h later. That hasn't happened in a very, very long time. Watched it with my kids and other half, and we had a blast. Characters are great, the music is good to great and always fits, the jokes landed. References and also themes that will go over most kids' heads but are satisfying and often funny to

Six years and a day ago...

...the one thing happened that made me write my first fimfiction story, Northland.

    TThe Last Pony on Earth
One day, Earth. The next, everyone is gone and I'm a pony. What the heck is going on?

    Damn.

I got a a really nice comment on it today and now I feel both happy and sad.
At my current pace the next chapter of Northland should be out at about May 2025. :ajsleepy:

The iPone has arrived - and people are spontaneously combusting

I think the new pones are ridiculously cute, and a smartphone (regardless of how it works - we're officially in the far future after all) with a hoof-indent for better, uhm, handling is peak adorable. That's got to be one of the next inventions in the Track-Switch verse, for mankind's ongoing quest to become more accommodating to ponykind.

Not dead, new story, lots of coffee

    So, yeah, I'm not dead.
I had a really, really shitty time that recently ended with me losing my job, which I hated.

Apparently that sudden freedom was what was needed to lift my writer's block and I wrote a new story, that may or may not be a one-shot.

Post-GalaCon state of the author · 1:22pm Jul 31st, 2019

After convention blues.

Despite 42 degrees Celsius in Ludwigsburg (107 F), a city definitely not built with that kind of heat in mind, it was glorious. Definitely the best GalaCon so far. Even better, GalaCon 2020 is already confirmed. Didn't get to meet any new people (or people I know at all, actually), but the program was good enough to more than make up for that. Also great vendors and a fantastic party/gala Saturday evening.

Got to see the Wasteland Wailers live. Getting to experience Brittany Church live was pretty much worth the ticket all on its own. Voice actor panel and script reading session with Tabitha St Germain, Andrea Libman, Vincent Tong and G M Berrow was hilarious.

So after three weeks of exhausting holiday in a ridiculously hot southern Germany I'll be back home in Denmark soon and maybe get something written again. A little bit has been happening in regard to Dawn as well as Nightline. Has been kinda hard to think here.

Anyway. If you want, have some con impressions below.

Towers Irish Pub, the unofficial Brony Central in Ludwigsburg.

...and its reduced menu. Sunday evening proved to be too much though, even under those conditions. Too many people drowning their post con sadness leading to almost complete breakdown of the poor staff. No angry word was heard by anypony though, true to form.

CandyCanine met her (slightly wet) favourite pony there as well, while waiting one and a half hours on the food she'd ordered. Good times were had.

And the day before, Empress Moon was gracious enough to grant a picture. And I've just realised there's no picture at all of yours truly. Dammit.

The Wasteland Wailers with one of the best live performances of any band I've witnessed. this fandom will never cease to amaze me. And Brittany Church has a divine voice. Wow. Close to thirty degrees Celsius and pretty much no Oxygen, but who cares.

The theme was future. I don't think any game has left a bigger mark on modern pop culture than Portal. Goes extremely with ponies.

Speaking of.

Combine your girlfriend with your Daki to get the best of both worlds.

I've never seen someone wear a daki before XD

Yak cosplay perfect! :pinkiehappy:

But seriously, glad to hear Galacon was good, and that you (and other attendees) didn't spontaneously combust and/or shrivel away in the scorching heat!
