Not back to KSP yet, but I did do some space stuff. · 12:26pm March 18th
I haven't touched KSP since my early experience with KSP2 was a combination of glitchy game and impossible-to-read UI. I've been thinking about it here and there, but I've had other things to do.
But that doesn't mean I'm not doing space stuff, and yesterday I finally edited and posted a video of such.
Specifically, I used Universe Sandbox to test: could we give Earth five moons that all look the same size as our moon in the sky?
Just a reminder that sim racing videos aren't my only interest on YT these days.
Is there any hope of KSP2 fixing its problems; it seems that there has been some updates in recent months, but will they work on the game long enough to get it to at least exceed KSP1.
Been tied up with Sunkenland recently. It's beta and it shows, but has some fun concepts and they keep putting more stuff in. Oh, and DungeonKeeper is on sale on Steam for $2, as well as Deeper dungeons. (I need to find the patch to let it run at 800x600.)
What timing! I just found a video I needed to share. Best I figure is it was taken covertly from somewhere in the CSP office complex.

Being honest I haven't touched KSP2. I was hopeful for it but then reports of serious performance issues rose and, well I've just stuck with KSP1 for the time being. Here's hoping they manage to push KSP2 to the heights that were implied with the trailer.

Fucking imgur hating on fimfiction... Copy-paste the link into a new tab.
I haven't touched my copy of KSP2 since I bought it until I upgraded my processor and graphics. Still runs bad in the VAB.
Haven't touched since. Just waiting for more proper optimisations.
I wish it was as smooth as KSP1, despite the jank.
Right now, I am just casually learning about other science field through youtube. Sabine Hossenfelder, a science reporter per se, recently talked about how Quantum Computing might be tangibly possible by 2025 'according to scientist' and how just about all government are switching to quantum proof security systems.
In the gaming world, well, I picked up Subterrain: Mines of Titan. A sequel to Subterrain that plays differently from the first game but has the same mechanics. Survive, defend the core, and thrive in a mid-terraformed, infected planet.
The first game is top down action rpg and has a time limit to most things like food, water, air, power, resources. The second game is a turn-based tactics kind, a bit of xcom, but it is now open world-ish where every turn has a ticking resource timer.
It's practically a power fantasy experience from a nobody to hero. And numbers. You just love to see numbers go up and get to see how your base has become fully self-sufficient.
5772933 There are a lot of design choices with KSP2- especially on user interface- that suffer, IMO, from Not Invented Here Syndrome.
5772934 OK
. . . . . .
... well, SOMEBODY's hung over.
