Back in June of 2020, I was honored by being inducted into the Royal Canterlot Library. As part of that interview, I said:
There’s a lot of awesome authors out there who I think deserve this recognition more than me, but I’ll try to take it with humility and use this little bit of horsefame to boost those who I think have earned it and celebrate their recognition next.
This blog series is my attempt to put my money where my mouth is.
This site is huge - 145,000 stories when I write this. Finding good stories is easy, but so is missing hidden gems and unknown authors. Recommendsday's intent is not as a review blog: I don't give scores, I don't provide feedback, I don't take requests. It's a blog where I hold up stories I think are awesome and fan-gasm about them for a couple of paragraphs in the hopes that others will read and similarly enjoy them.
So every Wednesday afternoon, I post up two stories with a linking theme (sometimes characters; sometimes genres; sometimes weirder or more obscure connections) to suggest people read. And hopefully, it will bring more attention to authors and stories that deserve it. It's a way to give back to this wonderful community and the people here.
For ease of access and searching, you can find a full index of the posts, stories, and authors here, and a bookshelf with all of the stories in it here.

I'm happy to have been consistently entertaining!
You know, it's funny. I realized as I was going through your stories that I already have a lot of them read, upvoted, commented on and/or favorited, but somehow never got around to following you.
What a silly thing. I'll just correct that now.
I hear you have a samurai pear butter story I'm supposed to peer pressure you into releasing

Huh, so that's why I got a sudden burst of favorites for that story. Thanks for pointing it out!
