Walking into Ponyville, Twilight couldn't make her mind up. She knew her best friends were waiting to meet her, to spend some time together. They'd all been really busy for a while, so this weekend was going to be a big deal. She looked back longingly at the library where she'd left Spike, wishing she could wait just a little longer before leaving. She was carrying an unsettling feeling in her stomach, she knew where she really wanted to be and who she really wanted to be going to meet, but she knew her friends had to come first and she was already late.
"I cant let them down" she sighed, swinging her mane over her shoulder and carrying on towards her friends.

On the other side of Ponyville, Big McIntosh stood sturdily facing the direction of the wind, his mane billowing out behind him. He kept looking around nervously.
"When was she going to get here..?" He questioned himself. Deep down he wasn't really sure if she was going to come at all, but he'd brave wind, sleet and snow to see her. Big Mac only wished he hadn't given in when she begged him to keep their feelings a secret. He'd already been waiting for over an hour, and it looked like she wasn't going to show up at all.
"There's no way she wouldn't show up without letting me know" He reassured himself "She cares too much about me to do that.
Not too far away, he heard the soft sound of hooves hitting the ground.
"She's here, she's here!" he exclaimed.
Peeking around t
he trunk of the tree he looked onward excitedly, but it certainly wasn't who he expected.
"Hey Big Mac" greeted Applejack gleefully. "What y'all doing around here?"
"I uhm.. I.. I went for a walk on my own" He replied "with no one else at all"
Applejack looked at him suspiciously, he wouldn't meet her gaze.
"Well on my way to meet Fluttershy" she broke the building silence. " We're heading in to town"
"I'll just head home then" He said, "Bye-bye"
He trotted passed Applejack leaving her bewildered and curious.
Just as she was about to disappear out of view he turned around,
"Hey um.. Applejack..?" He shouted, "You haven't seen Twilight Sparkle yet today have you?"
"I'm just on my way to meet her now" she answered "Were you looking for her or something?"
"No no nothing like that " He began to blush, getting flustered, "I better go, bye!"
"Now THAT was weird" Applejack mused, cantering off to meet her friends.

Big Mac was heartbroken. "How could she do this to him?" He didnt know what to do. He wondered to himself. " Had she been planning on meeting them all along?" "Was I just a joke to her?". His despair began to turn into anger. Twilight had always been the nicest sweetest person he knew, but how could she not even care where he was! He trotted furiously around, pacing back and forth.
"I've GOT to see her" he thought "I can't say I hate her unless I truly know how she feels", but he couldn't think of any ideas,If she didn't come and meet him, how could he see her?
Then he realised,
"Twilight's meeting Applejack!" He ran off into town, everyone would know how he felt about Twilight now.

She could see the silhouettes of her friends in the distance. Twilight really had missed spending time with them. She could hear their laughter bubbling from their mouths.
"Hey Twilight!" shouted Pinkie Pie, "Over here!"
Twilight looked up and smiled at her friends, "Hey guys", She greeted each one of them.
"You sure must have been studying a lot of magic" Rarity said, "I haven't seen you in weeks!"
"Yeah, magic is very difficult" Replied Twilight, thinking back to the days she'd been spending laughing and hanging out with Big Mac. She really did love him. It was so difficult to be her without him.
"Sooooo..... Where do y'all wanna go?" Applejack asked. "Oh hey twilight" She said "I almost forgot, Big Mac asked if I had seen you today". "weird huh?"
"ha-ha-ha, yeah.. uhm totally weird" Twilight responded, her face glowing red.
"Is something wrong?" Applejack asked
Just as Twilight was about to answer. Big Mac rounded the corner.
"Twilight, Twilight" he Bellowed " I can't keep our love a secret any longer"
The other ponies were taken aback, No one had expected this. Twilight had never mentioned anything and Applejack had never suspected a thing with Big Mac.
"I deserve more than being your secret" He accused "I love you too much for that"
Twilight looked flustered and confused. This is what she wanted but was always to scared to say. ]
"You're right Big Mac. I'm sorry" she pleaded. "But my friends have to come first"
Her friends looked at her lovingly. "Oh twilight, all we want is for you to be happy" they agreed, finally realising why she'd been so busy for the last few weeks.
Relieved that her friends were so accepting "Oh you guys" she hugged them and ran towards Big Mac.
"Y'know we could all hang out together, if you guys don't mind" He suggested.
"Now that", Twilight said "Is a very good idea"
