It was a cool, June night in Canterlot City. Well, Canterlot was more of a large town than an actual city with the northern part having some large buildings while the rest of the place has small shops, cafes, and restaurants. One particular restaurant that wasn’t too far from Canterlot High School was an Indian joint called The Tasty Treats. Leaving the place was a fifteen-year-old young man. He was a tall boy with blonde hair that was tied up in a bun. For attire, he wore a sleeveless jean jacket over a green shirt, brown cargo pants, orange socks, and red shoes. This was Zephyr Breeze, though he has a reputation of being a lazy hipster doofus, he can be quite skilled with a comb and a pair of scissors.

He just finished his meal and decided to make his way back home, “Welp, I’m heading home for the night. See ya fellas later.” He told a couple patrons who were eating outside before he tripped and landed face first on the ground, causing the other two patrons to laugh.

After that embarrassing moment, Zephyr proceeded to head home. Honestly, he wasn't looking forward to it as no doubt his sister, Fluttershy, was going to chew him out for going out instead of studying for the finals tomorrow. Though, he didn’t really care about that. Summer Vacation was just around the corner and many kids and teens were more than excited about it and Zephyr was no different. Really, he was more concerned about how he was gonna woo Rainbow Dash during that time than anything else.

As Zephyr was heading home, he proceeded to take a shortcut to CHS which isn't too far from his house. As he was walking past the horse statue however, there was a flash of light where the mirror was which greatly startled Zephyr.

He turned to see what it was, but it was really dark thanks to the moon not being out, so he couldn’t see anything, but he did hear a low growl. Against his better judgment, he got closer to take a better look however, a large pair of glowing eyes opened up and stared right back at him. Both eyes were a different color with the left eye being green and the right one being blue.

Zephyr shrieked and fell flat on his byoo-tox as he came face to face with a rather large creature. Though he could barely see the thing, he could stammer a guess that it was around 9, maybe even 10 feet tall when it started to move. It also had very large bat-like wings.

The creature lets out a loud roar which causes Zephyr to shoot up and run while screaming in high pitch, only to not look where he's going and slamming right into a light post, knocking him out cold.

The creature shakes its head before turning towards the mirror as it lit up again.

Stepping out was another creature similar to the first one except it was slightly shorter and while its left eye was green like the first one, its right eye was magenta.

Not long after, the mirror lit up once again and a third creature emerged from it. This one was different from the first two as it had no wings and was a bit bulky. like the first two its left eye was green but the right one was brown.

A fourth creature then emerged from the mirror; this one had a slenderer appearance. Its left eye was green as well but its right one was purple.

A fifth creature then emerged from the portal. This one had a more serpentine look to it. Its right eye was yellow but its left eye, like the rest, was green.

"Did you take care of the portal?" The first creature asked in a feminine voice, confirming it to be female.

"I left behind a lighting grenade before I left. We won't be followed." The fifth one replied.

"Good." The first one said.

Suddenly, gems on their chests began to light up. Each gem was a different color and shape. The first one had a blue round gem, the second one had a magenta oval shape, the third one had a brown rectangle one, the fourth had a purple square shape, and the fifth and final one had a yellow hexagon like one.

"Finally, after all these years, we have arrived in the other world. We will take back what was stolen from us!" The first creature said, raising her wings. The others nod their heads. "But first, we should rest."

"What!? But why?!" The fifth one exclaimed. "We're finally here and the first thing you wanna do is take a nap!?"

"The journey has been long and tiring, and some of us are exhausted. I understand that you're anxious to get started sister, but it would do us no good if we start now." The fourth creature explained.

"I guess you're right." The fifth one sighed.

"Let's split up and see if we find a place to rest for the night." The second creature suggested.

The others agreed to this. The third creature began to burrow into the ground at an unnatural fast pace until it disappeared entirely. A small tornado began to form around the fourth creature and took off to the streets at breakneck speed. Electricity began to cackle from the fifth one and she suddenly zipped to the roof of one house before zipping to another.

The second creature turned to the first one and asked, "Do you really think he's here sister?"

"He has to be." The first one replied with determination, "We spent years trying to find a way into the other world and we won't give up now."

"Your right sister, we came too far to give up now." The second one said.

The two creatures spread their mighty wings and took to the sky.

Meanwhile, poor Zephyr Breeze was still unconscious over by the lamp post and has remained there for the rest of the night.

Elsewhere, a thirteen-year-old was shifting uncomfortably in his sleep before shooting up awake.

'Jesus, what was that?' The boy said inwardly to himself as he suddenly felt a chill, 'maybe a water might help.' He then got up and made his way out of the room.

Getting Ready for Summer

View Online

It was the next morning over at the Sparkle family residence and the boy from last night was fast asleep until his alarm went off and started playing a tune.

Dear Maria Count Me In - All Time Low

The boy groaned as he got up. In appearance, the thirteen-year-old boy had messy green hair and matching colored eyes. His current attire was a white undershirt and gray pajama shorts.

The boy didn’t sleep that well last night due to suddenly waking up with a chill and it took him over an hour to get back to sleep. He didn’t turn off the alarm just yet because it was playing one of his favorite songs.

As he was listening to the music, the boy was slowly starting to wake up. He looked around in his room and saw his figurines (which varied from superheroes, surfers, mechs, and dragons) on his dresser and entertainment center and surfing posters hanging on his wall.

Soon the song ended and the radio host spoke up, "Good mornin, Equestria County! This is your host, Sly The Man!" The host said cheerfully, "How are you all in this fine sunrise? Summer Vacation is just around the corner for some, while it has just started for others. Hope y'all bought lots of sunscreen. Next, the annual Grom Splashdown is comin to Santa Ponyville in two and a half weeks, I hope you kiddos that are participating are gonna be bringing your A game!" When the host said that, the boy picked up a small pamphlet from his nightstand that depicts said event.

Lastly, strange happenings have been going on in the city of Canterlot last night. There have been reports and eyewitness accounts of tremors, a tornado on the streets that’s been setting off car alarms, a strange lightning bolt zippity zappin across the roofs of people’s houses, and even something big flying across the night sky. Man, whatever those people are taking, I want some of that!” The host joked. “Well that’s all for this mornin. Let’s get back to the music shall we.

3 DOGS BAND - ELECTRICITY

The boy sighs at that. Canterlot has been no stranger to weird magical events recently with his sister now getting involved after the events from the Friendship Games. Whatever is going on the boy is sure that she along with her friends can handle it. He just hopes that it doesn’t interfere with his summer plans.

The boy suddenly hears his door open slightly. He turns to see who it was and thought that it was either his mother or sister, only to see an owl peek its head through the door. The owl then lets itself in and flaps around the boy’s room for a few seconds before landing on his chest.

“Morning Owlowiscious.” The boy greeted a little groggily as he gave the owl a pat on the head, “Did Twilight send you to make sure that I’m up?” The only response that he got from the owl was a single hoo, “I’ll take that as a yes. Alrighty, just give me a minute or two and I’ll take a shower ok?”

Owlowiscious nodded as he jumped off the boy’s chest and left the room. The boy lets out a long yawn before getting out of bed and heads towards the bathroom to get ready for the day.

Meanwhile…

Frank, a worker at the Canterlot mall, was driving over to said place. It was his shift to open the place up today and get things ready for the morning. As he got there however, he noticed that the main entrance to the mall looked like it was torn wide open.

“What the…?!” Frank exclaimed as he got out of his car and ran towards the entrance. As he was expecting the entrance, he noticed claw marks, big ones, on the torn doors which caused him to gulp nervously. There was no way a bear this big could have done this.

Against his better judgment, Frank decides to go inside and investigate. As he starts to look around, he sees that everything is seemingly still intact. He kept looking around until he spotted something that shocked him.

Laying on the floor unconscious was a security guard, one that Frank recognizes, “Oh my God. Joe…Joe! Are you alright man?!” He shouted as he ran to the downed security guard and shaked him to wake him up.

Joe groaned as he was stirred awake, “Ugh, what happened?”

“I was kinda hoping you’d tell me.” Frank replied. “When I got here, I noticed the front entrance was torn wide open by some big animal and I just found you out cold.”

“Well, all I remembered last night was that I went down to check on the lobby due to the strange noises. The next thing I knew, something struck me. Whatever it was, Frank, it was big and I don't think it was alone.” Joe explained.

“Couldn’t you have just checked the cameras?” Frank asked.

Wordlessly, Joe just points to Frank at one of the security cameras on the wall which looked like it was electrocuted, “Something’s been frying the cameras left and right. That’s one of the reasons why I came down.”

“Joe, is there anything else you remember before you got knocked out?” Frank asked.

“Well I did hear a commotion going on over the mattress and furniture store but that’s all I remember.” Joe replied.

"Alright, stay here while I check it out. Whatever this thing is, it might still be in here. If anything happens, call 911, ok?" Frank said as he handed Joe his cellphone. The ladder nodded as he took the phone and gave Frank a stun gun.

Frank then proceeded to the mattress and furniture store with the stun gun in hand. When he got there, he was shocked to see that the glass entrance to the store had been shattered. Steeling himself, Frank heads inside.

The mattress and furniture store was a big place. In fact, it's one of the biggest shops in the mall so there was a lot of ground for Frank to cover. He looked around to see that some of the couches and lounge chairs had been tossed around.

Suddenly, something zipped past behind Frank which caused him to gasp and quickly turn around but sees nothing. He then hears a beastly growl right behind him. Frank slowly turns around and what he saw causes him to be paralyzed with fear.

Before he had a chance to scream, an icy wind was blown at him and he was instantly encased in ice…

Back at The Sparkle Residence

After taking a shower and getting ready for the day, his attire was now a purple shirt with a symbol of a dragon on it, a green jacket that’s tied around his waist, light brown jean shorts, and red Velcro shoes. The boy headed downstairs to the kitchen to have some breakfast. Once there, he sees his mother making some pancakes and his sister sitting at the kitchen table, typing on her phone, with Owlowiscious perched on her right shoulder.

In appearance, the boy’s mother, Twilight Velvet, looked to be either in her late thirties or early forties and is Japanese-American. Her hair has moderate purple and light gray stripes and her eyes were light arctic blue. For attire, she wore a light gray sundress and dark purple shoes, she currently also has a white apron on.

The boy’s sister, Twilight Sparkle, was sixteen, almost seventeen, years old. She has long moderate sapphire blue hair with moderate violet and brilliant rose streaks tied in a ponytail with a pair of thick black glasses framing her moderate violet eyes. For attire, she wore a light blue buttoned shirt, with a pink bow tie around the collar, matching zipped-up vest worn over her shirt, dark purple frilly skirt decorated with stars, knee high baby blue socks, and dark purple shoes.

“Morning mom, morning Twi.” The boy greeted.

Both ladies turned at him and smiled, “Morning Spike.” Twilight replied.

“Ohayō (Good morning) sweetie.” Velvet replied, “Did you sleep well?”

“Eh, more or less.” Spike replied as he went to the fridge to take out a jug of milk, “I take it dad took off for work?” He asked, noticing that his father, Night Light, is nowhere to be found.

“There was a big meeting today, so he had to leave early.” His mother explained.

"I see." Spike said as he poured some milk in a glass. He then took a seat over at the kitchen table right next to his sister, "So, you ready for Summer Vacation Twi?"

"Getting there." Twilight replied, "Keep in mind Spike that my friends and I still have five more days of school left over at CHS. Not to mention that we have that big test today."

This was true, Spike's junior high school ended earlier for him and his friends, and they all have big plans for this summer. They were going to participate in the Grom Splashdown over at Santa Ponyville.

"Well, I'm pretty sure you'll ace this test like all the others." Spike said, "That said, are you and your friends still gonna meet us up at Santa Ponyville after school is out for you?" He asked.

"Probably, Applejack, Sunset, and especially Rainbow are still planning on competing in the Grom Splashdown." Twilight replied, "Rainbow is also trying to see that we get a gig over at the Drinking Thestral there."

Spike nodded in understanding before his mother gave him a plate with three pancakes with chocolate chips in them with bacon on the side.

"By the way honey, I had a call not too long ago from your uncle Scorpan. He'll be here around a couple hours, give or take. So I hope you'll be ready by then." Velvet explained as she gave Twilight her own set of pancakes that have blueberries in them.

"Don't worry mom, I already packed my things last night, I just need to pack my bathroom stuff and I'll be more than ready to go." Spike said.

"That's good to hear." Velvet said as she sat with kids with her own stack of pancakes.

Later, at Canterlot Highschool

Zephyr was still out cold over by the light post before he slowly began to come to. He groaned and slowly opened his eyes. As he did however, he sees an angry pair of moderate opal eyes staring right back at him.

This instantly got Zephyr stirred completely awake. He shoots right up and sees his older sister, Fluttershy, staring angrily at him with her friends, Twilight, Sunset, Rarity, Applejack, Pinkie, and Rainbow Dash standing next to her.

"Zephyr Posey Breeze!" Fluttershy angrily began, "Where were you last night?! Do you have any idea how worried me, mom, and dad were?!"

What happened last night suddenly came back to Zephyr's mind, "I-I ran into something last night on my way back home. S-Something big! I-I think it was some kind of monster!" Zephyr stammered.

Fluttershy, however, just rolls her eyes in annoyance, "Nice try Zephyr but I wasn't born yesterday. How stupid do you think I am?"

"I'm not lying!" Zephyr defended himself, "I really did see something last night!"

"You sure ya didn't just bump into a bobcat Zephyr?" Applejack asked. Somehow, she has a feeling that he isn't lying.

"I know a bobcat when I see one!" Zephyr shouted, getting up to AJ's face, "This… thing was a big, hulking, beast! You guys gotta believe me!"

Sunset thought about what Zephyr said before asking, "Zephyr, where did you see this… thing?"

"Over there. By the Wondercolt statue." Zephyr replied, pointing at said statue.

This caused the girls' eyes to widen as they ran over to inspect the statue. As they get there, they see nothing out of the ordinary. At least, at first.

When Sunset checks the mirror portal however, she is shocked to learn that it isn't working, "Wha- What's wrong with the portal?! WHY ISN'T WORKING?!?" She exclaimed. Her only entry way to her home dimension is closed off and she doesn’t understand why. She’s gonna have to contact princess Twilight later to see what’s going on.

"Uh, Sunset. You might wanna come take a look at this." Twilight said nervously.

Snapping out of her shocked stupor, Sunset headed to where Twilight was and is shocked as she sees a footprint of a creature that is three times bigger than a human’s foot.

“What in the world?” Rarity exclaimed as she and the rest of the girls came to inspect the footprint, “What kind of creature would leave a footprint like that?”

“I know what kind...” Sunset said with the other girls turning towards her, “...A dragon.”

Near a donut shop was a large Winnebago that had just entered the city of Canterlot and stepping out of the shop was its driver. The driver was a man who looked somewhere in his early forties. In appearance, he had brown shoulder-length hair with a single gray streak that is tied in a ponytail, a bushy mustache, and brown eyes. For attire, he wore a Hawain jacket over a white shirt, gray cargo shorts, and black sandals.

After grabbing his breakfast, the man looked at the map on his phone and said, "Okay, I'll pick up Spike first and then I'll-" his thoughts were suddenly interrupted when he saw several cop cars quickly drive past him with their sirens blaring. "Whoa, where's the fire fellas?!"

Canterlot Highschool

The other Rainbooms just stare at Sunset with shock from what she just said.

"A-A dragon…" Fluttershy stuttered. "As in like an actual dragon?"

"I'm afraid so Fluttershy," Sunset said as bent down to take a closer look at the footprint, "And judging by the size of this footprint, this thing has to be like ten, maybe twelve feet long."

"I told you!!!" Zephyr shouted in the distance.

"Woah, hold on, let's back up a bit here." Rainbow Dash said, "Don't magical creatures usually turn into humans, dogs, and whatever else when they cross from Equestria and to our world?"

Sunset could only sigh, "Your guess is as good as mine Rainbow. Somehow, this dragon was able to retain its original form when it crossed over."

"Hey, what are those other students looking at over there?" Twilight said as she noticed other students gathering around and looking at something.

The girls rush to see what it is and are shocked to find a rather large hole in the ground.

"There's only one thing that makes a hole that big." Pinkie said as everyone turned to look at her, "A really, really fat gopher!" Her friends and the other students just gave her unamused looks, "Well I don't see you guys coming up with anything."

"So Sunset," Twilight began as turned toward the fiery haired girl, "Can a dragon do something like this?"

"It's a possibility." She replied, "Though, I don't think a dragon can dig this deep."

"Uh, I just had a thought," Applejack said, "If this dragon came out of the Wondercolt statue's mirror, then wouldn't that mean that it had to go through the one at Princess Twilight's castle to do so?"

Sunset's eyes instantly widened when she heard that and suddenly made a mad dash back to the school. She kept running until she reached her locker and pulled out a certain book where she began to write frantically on it.

Twilight! Are you there?!? Something has entered our world through the Wondercolt’s mirror and that would mean it had to go through your castle to do so. If you're ok, PLEASE reply back.

After Sunset was done writing, she paced back and forth for a couple minutes before the book glowed and vibrated. She quickly opens up the book and it reads:

Sunset! I was just about ready to contact you. But yes, me, Spike, and Starlight are alright but we're a little shaken up by what happened last night.

What happened?

Five dragons broke into my castle in the middle of the night. They were tearing the place apart which woke us up.

Wait a minute, FIVE!?! You mean there's more than one!?

I'm afraid so. Starlight and I tried to stop them but these dragons, Sunset, they were different. They had these gems on their chests that can make them use magic just fluently as a unicorn.

I never heard of dragons that can use just as much magic as a unicorn, especially with gems on their chests.

Neither have I. Though, I know some dragon friends that might tell us more about these certain drakes.

Ok but back on track, what did these dragons want?

We didn't know at first but then we realized too late that they were looking for the mirror portal. We tried to go after them but one of them left behind a "little present" that disabled the portal.

Can the portal be fixed?

Yes but it's going to take quite some time before it's fully operational. Until then, I'm afraid that you and the other girls are on your own. I'm sorry Sunset.

Don't be. I'm just glad you and the others are safe and at least we now know what we're dealing with. Though I'm curious, do we know what these dragons even want? I mean they had to have a reason for crossing into this world.

Your guess is as good as mine Sunset. For now, the best I can do is try to fix the portal and ask around to see if there's anything I can learn about these particular dragons. Until then, all I can say is good luck.

Thanks Twilight. You too.

After that Sunset closed the book and placed it in her backpack.

"Sunset!" She heard one of her friends call out. She turns to see them all rushing towards her.

"So… what's going on?" Twilight asked, "What did… the other me… had to say?"

Sunset sighed. "Girls, it's worse than we thought. There's not one but FIVE dragons loose in this world."

"WHAT?!?!?!" Most of the girls exclaimed.

"Oh dear…" Fluttershy muttered.

"It gets worse, apparently these aren't Equestria's average run-of-the-mill kind of dragons either. Thanks to some jewels on their chests, they can use magic."

"I reckon dragons in Equestria can't do magic?" Applejack asked.

"They can but their magical prowess is limited. Very limited. Princess Twilight said that these particular dragons can use magic just as much as a unicorn." Sunset explained. “She’s gonna try to dig up and see what kind of dragons these are.”

“So you're saying that there’s not only five dragons but they can use magic too?!” Rainbow exclaimed. “Ah man and summer vacation is just around the corner too!” The other girls just gave unamused looks. “What? We have plans for this summer and I don’t wanna waste it chasing around a bunch of fire-breathing reptiles!”

Applejack turned back to Sunset and asked, “So do we know why these dragons came to our world in the first place?”

Sunset sighed and shook her head, “No we don’t. It’s a complete mystery right now.”

The girls then heard the bell ring, signaling that their first class was about to start.

“We’ll worry about it later,” Twilight said, “Right now we have a test to do.”

“Ah man.” Rainbow grumbled.

Spike was sitting in the living room with his mother as they were both watching a sci-fi show where the main hero, a twelve-year-old boy in white space armor, confronts two older women in black space armor. It was obvious, they were on opposing sides.

"Please stop this Tylis, we don’t want to fight you!" One of the women pleaded with tears, reddish pink laser sword in hand.

"Listen to her Tylis, stop this foolishness and join us!" The other woman said, carrying a much bigger laser sword that was dark purple in color.

"I will never join the Imperium!" Tylis snarled with a yellow laser sword in hand. "Their tyranny has gone on long enough! I'm done sitting idly by while you monsters destroy homes and families!"

The first woman was about to speak but the second woman stopped her before asking him, "Tell us Tylis, what has your old master told you about your sisters?"

"Master Lumis told me enough," Tylis growled, "She told me you two killed them!"

The two women looked at each other before looking back at the young man, "No Tylis," The first woman said with a shake of her head, "We are your sisters."

Tylis's eyes widened in disbelief, "No… no it's not possible!"

"Search your feelings Tylis! You know them to be true!" The second woman said.

Tylis did and he broke down right then and there, "No, no, no… NOOOO!!!" The episode then ended right there with a to be continued.

Velvet covered her mouth in shock while Spike didn't seem as startled from this revelation, "Eh, I saw that one coming a mile away."

"How so?" Velvet asked.

"Well they weren't exactly subtle with the hints. Major one being we never see the faces of Tylis’s two older sisters during the flashbacks. That one was a bit of a dead give away right there." Spike explained.

"That… makes sense." Velvet said.

They suddenly hear a knock on the door. Velvet gets up to see who it is, when she approaches the door and opens it she sees that it was The Winnebago driver.

"Hey Velvet." The man greeted her with a smile.

"Konnichiwa (hello) Scorpan." Velvet smiled back. "Come on in."

Scorpan did just that as Velvet led him to the living room where Spike was.

"Hey Spike!" Scorpan called out which got the boy's attention.

"Uncle Scorpan!" Spike said excitedly as he got up from the couch and came up to the man whom he gave a hug. Scorpan returned the gesture.

"Are you ready for the summer?" Scorpan asked.

"You bet I am!" Spike replied.

"Spike, why don't you start putting your stuff in your uncle's winnebago?” Velvet suggested.

“Sure thing mom.” Spike said as he went upstairs to do just that.

Velvet then turned towards Scorpan and noticed him frowning a bit, "You alright? You seem a bit tense."

"Yeah, it's just I saw half a dozen cop cars driving by on the way here." Scorpan replied, "Is there something going on right now?"

Velvet just shrugs, "I hadn't watched the news yet, so I don't know. Though I did hear about strange activities last night."

"Like what?" Scorpan asked.

"Like tremors, a small tornado going through the streets, and a lightning bolt zipping across the rooftops of people's houses." Velvet replied.

"Hmmm, think they're all connected?" Scorpan asked. He's been hearing all these crazy things that's going on in Canterlot City and he wonders if this is one of them.

"Your guess is as good as mine, Scorpan." Velvet replied with a sigh.

Just then, Spike came back down with his luggage and surfboard. "Ready when you are uncle."

Scorpan turns toward the boy, "Alright Spike. You can go on ahead, I'll follow you out in a minute." Spike nodded as he did just that.

"You guys gonna be okay?" Scorpan asked as he turned back to Velvet.

"Don't worry about us," Velvet replied with a smile, "Just make sure Spike and his friends have a good time. He's been waiting for this all year."

Scorpan just shrugs, "Well if you say so. Just be careful."

"We usually are. You better get going, don't want to keep the other boys waiting now do you?" Velvet asked.

“You're right, I should get moving. Tell Twilight I’ll see her in Santa Ponyville in a few days.” Scorpan said as he made his way to the door.

“Will do Scorpan.” She said with a wave.

Meanwhile, at The Canterlot Mall

Many police and SWAT vehicles were surrounding the Canterlot Mall and many police officers were trying to keep civilians and the press from getting too close. Stepping out of one of them was a man in his mid-thirties. In appearance, he had moderate amaranth hair and brilliant turquoise eyes. For attire, he wore a gray trench coat over a white buttoned-up shirt, light brown jeans, and black velcro shoes.

One police officer approached him, "Commissioner Magnus, we're so glad you're here."

"What's the situation, officer?" Magnus asked.

"Well, we got a call from one of the mall's security guards not too long ago saying that some sort of big animal broke in there earlier this morning." The officer explained.

"Couldn't it just have been a bear?" Magnus asked.

"Can a bear rip a big metal door wide open, sir?" The officer replied pointing at the torn main entrance of the mall.

Arching an eyebrow, Magnus looks over to the torn door. Even from a distance, he could see the metal doors have indeed been torn open by some large animal.

Deciding to take a closer look, Magnus went over the yellow tape to inspect the door. Running his hand through one of the claw marks, he notices that they were too big for a bear to make.

Just then, the commissioner and everyone else outside heard a loud roar that echoed through inside that mall.

Everyone went dead silent after hearing that. Even Commissioner Magnus stammered back quite a bit.

"That…was no bear." He muttered.

One of the officers approached him and asked, "What do we do sir?"

Magnus was silent for a moment before answering, "Prep a squad and have them investigate what this… thing is. But tell them NOT to engage it unless it attacks first, understand?"

The officer nodded his head and left to spread the word.

Commissioner Magnus then turned his attention back to the entrance and thought to himself, 'What in God's name are we dealing with here?'

Meanwhile, Back at Canterlot Highschool

The bell just rang and the students left their classrooms. Seven girls in particular had just finished their tests, though barely as they were still worried due to knowing that there is currently a group of dragons somewhere in their city.

"Ack, glad that's over." Groaned Rainbow Dash.

"Come on Rainbow, the test wasn't that bad." Sunset said.

"Speak for yourself Sunset, you struggled just as bad as the rest of us." Rainbow pointed out. "The person who did the test no problem was Twilight. Right Twi?"

However, the genius girl didn't seem to be paying attention as she was looking through her phone.

"What are you doing there Twilight?" Sunset asked.

"I've been looking through the local newsfeed to see if there's been anything unusual lately." She answered.

"Find anything?" Sunset asked.

"There's a huge disturbance over at the mall right now." Twilight replied. "Saying about a large animal breaking into it earlier this morning and is still there."

"That's probably where we'll find our dragons." Applejack said.

"C'mon girls, we better get over there." Sunset said.

The other girls nodded and made their way to Applejack's truck.

A squad of several SWAT team members have entered the Canterlot Mall and made their way down the hall.

The leader turned on his earpiece and said, "Commissioner, we have entered the mall and have yet to find anything."

"Keep me posted if you find anything out of the ordinary." Magnus said through the radio.

"Yes sir." The leader nodded as he and his squad proceeded further in the mall. Little did the SWAT team know that something was watching them and was quietly following them.

Scorpan was driving to one of Spike's friend's house with the latter sitting next to him in the passenger seat.

"So, uncle," Spike began, "How's Vee Vee been doing?"

Scorpan chuckled, "Still quite the little firecracker. She still snuggles with me at night and all that. I'm sure she'll be more than happy to see you." He replied.

Just then, they stopped at a house where a boy, who was around Spike’s age, was waiting out front with a couple of bags and a surfboard. In appearance, he had black hair and vivid opal eyes. For attire, he wore a black jacket over an emerald shirt, orange cargo shorts, and red tennis shoes.

The boy entered the Winnebago with a couple of his bags and a surfboard of his own. Spike got out of his seat to greet his friend, "You ready for summer Thorax?" He asked.

"You bet I am Spike." Thorax replied. He gave Spike a fist bump before the two stored the former's belongings.

The next house they stopped at belonged to a nerdy boy with a moderate scarlet hair with moderate orange streaks, moderate vermilion eyes, and light brown skin. For attire, he wore a brown jacket over a white t-shirt that had a picture of a Nintendo controller on it, gray cargo shorts, and brown slip-on shoes.

This was Button Mash, and he was busy playing Splatoon on his Nintendo Switch until he heard Scorpan honk his horn. Button instantly got up, grabbed his things and entered the vehicle.

The next house they stopped at belonged to an athletic boy who was kicking a soccer ball in the air to kill some time. In appearance, he had two shades of dark grayish sapphire blue hair and grayish purple eyes. For attire, he wore a light gray tank top, dark gray jean shorts, and red tennis shoes. This was Rumble and when he saw the winnebago pulled up, he immediately grabbed his things and ran to the vehicle.

The last boy to be picked up was Pipsqueak. In appearance, he had light brown hair and deep reddish-brown eyes. For attire, he wore a simple white shirt, brown sweats, and green shoes. After seeing the Winnebago, he grabbed his things and ran to the vehicle.

After all of Spike’s friends had gathered, it was time to head to Santa Ponyville and the boys have never been more excited.

“Man, I can’t wait to shred some waves!” Rumble said excitedly.

“I hear that, especially with the Grom Splashdown just around the corner.” Pipsqueak said, sharing his friend's excitement.

“I’m more interested in what new games the arcade over at the boardwalk has.” Button Mash said.

“Of course, you are.” Thorax said with a playful roll of his eyes.

“Alrighty boys, are you ready for summer?” Scorpan asked to which they replied with a loud yeah. “Alright then, Santa Ponyville here we come!”

Little did any of them know, their summer vacation was soon going to take a surprising turn. Especially for Spike…

The SWAT team was getting close to the food court when they began to hear something near there. It sounded like some big animal was munching on something. The SWAT team went to have a closer look and what they saw shocked them.

Eating a large pile of chips, fruits, and sweets was a reptilian-like creature that was as big as a shire horse. It was serpentine in appearance with feathered wings, in a way it looked akin to the Aztec serpent god Quetzalcoatl. It had a slit, yellow on its right eye and green on its left, dark yellow scales and a lighter yellow underbelly. It also looked like it had some kind of blonde mane of some sort and a yellow hexagon gem on its chest.

The SWAT team was shocked to say the least. If they didn’t know any better, they could say this… was a dragon!

As the creature was continuing to gorge itself on the massive pile of food, another large reptilian creature came out from the back of a smoothie stand, carrying a bag that contained more fruit.

The other creature was slightly taller than the serpentine one and had the body structure of a horse with antler-like horns on its head, looking akin to a Kirin. It had green scales and a purple underbelly, a purple mane that went down all the way to its bushy tail, a purple square shaped gem on its chest, and a purple eye on its right and green on its left.

The creature then proceeded to dump the fruit onto the rest of the pile and began to eat with the other one.

The SWAT team leader then contacted the commissioner, “Sir, we have confirmation on the target. We…We don’t know what we’re looking at sir.”

“What do you mean?” Magnus asked.

“Well… me and my men are watching a couple of reptilian creatures eating a pile of food. They almost look like… dragons, sir.” The SWAT leader replied.

“What? Are you serious?”

“I wish I wasn’t sir. Should we give a visual sir?”

“Yes please,” Magnus replied, “I like to know what we’re dealing with here.”

“Yes sir.” The leader said as he and the rest of the squad turned on the video cameras on their helmets.

Back outside, Commissioner Magnus was inside a SWAT van watching the various screens of the creatures.

“My god…” Magnus replied.

“Should we engage the creatures sir?” The leader asked.

Magnus thought about it for a good minute before replying, “No, negative. We don’t know what these things are capable of. Head back outside and we’ll figure out what to do.”

“Yes sir.” The leader said. He then turned towards his squad and said, “Alright men, let’s head back out.”

As soon as he said that however, they heard a low growl behind them. They slowly turn to see another one of the reptilian creatures glaring down at them. The entire team’s blood ran cold at the sight of this behemoth.

It looked more akin to a dinosaur, was bulky in appearance and big as a fire truck with many scars across its body, the most noticeable is a rather large one across its throat. Its scales were dark brown and a green underbelly. A brown rectangle shaped gem was located on its chest, its left eye was green while its right one was brown. It also had a large mace-like tip at the end of its tail.

The creature looked at the firearms the SWAT team were holding and its face turned to that of anger. What started as a loud growl quickly turned into a loud roar which alerted the other two creatures at the food court as well as two others across the mall…

Dirk Ehlert - DRAGON DEN

A couple of the SWAT members opened fire at the creature, but the bullets don’t seem to penetrate the creature’s tough skin. Enraged, the beast took a swipe at the SWAT team. While most managed to duck out of the way, a couple unfortunately got caught in the swipe and were sent flying.

The SWAT leader brought out a flash bang grenade and threw it at the beast. The flash bang went off and the beast was instantly disoriented with its eyes seeing nothing but a blinding light and its ears ringing like crazy.

“Everyone out!” The SWAT leader yelled. The SWAT team then began to head their way to the exit with a couple others helping their wounded comrades that got swiped.

As they got near the exit however, two other creatures jumped down from the second floor and blocked their escape. These two new creatures looked akin to actual dragons.

The first creature was taller than the others, its scales were white while it’s underbelly was blue, the membrane on its massive wings were also blue, its left eye was green while it’s right one was blue, a pair of large horns protruding from its head, and had a white mane with blue streaks. It also had a blue gem in the shape of a circle around its chest.

The other creature was nearly around the same size except a few inches shorter, a light magenta scale and dark magenta underbelly with the membrane on its wings being the latter color, its right eye was magenta while its left eyes was green, and its mane was magenta with red streaks. Like the white and blue one, it too had a pair of horns protruding from its head. Lastly it had a magenta-colored gem in the shape of an oval.

The SWAT team raised their weapons and were ready to open fire until their firearms were surrounded by a magenta aura, instantly flew right out of their hands, and levitated near the magenta-colored creature whose gem was glowing.

The creature looks at the weapons with anger and contempt as it runs its claw through a small scar on its right cheek. The creature blew a small ball of fire at the firearms which had begun to burn and melt. It then raised its right claw and gripped it into a fist which caused the melting weapons to merge into a molten ball. The creature then dropped the ball to the ground.

The white and blue creature then inhaled and unleashed some sort of ice breath. But before it could hit the SWAT team however, a large diamond shield suddenly conjured up in front of them and blocked the ice breath.

Both the SWAT team and the two creatures were shocked at this until the ponied up Rainbooms suddenly appeared and got between the SWAT team and creatures.

Sunset turned to the SWAT team and said, “You guys get out of here, we’ll handle the dragons!”

The shocked SWAT team just nodded at this and made their way to the exit with Fluttershy escorting them out.

As the Rainbooms stared down at the two dragons, the other three from before showed up from behind the Rainbooms.

The brown and green dragon threw a punch at the girls, but Applejack actually managed to catch the giant fist much to the dragon’s shock. Using all of her strength, AJ manages to lift the beast and throws it across the mall.

Enraged by what happened to its fellow dragon, the serpentine dragon’s body cackles with electricity and lounges at the farmer girl but is tackled to the ground by Rainbow Dash.

The serpent pushed the athletic girl off of it and the two stared each other off. They then tackled each other again while zipping through the mall, leaving behind a trail of both rainbows and electricity.

Back with the others, the magenta dragon unleashed a stream of fire upon Twilight and Rarity, but the latter managed to put up a barrier in time. Twilight then levitated a couple benches near them and threw them at the dragon.

One managed to hit its head but the magenta dragon lifted one of its wings to block the other. It was about to unleash another fire breath, but Rarity quickly conjured up a large diamond bracelet and shot it at the dragon’s snout, sealing its mouth shut. Twilight then began to throw more objects at the dragon in which the beast tried to dodge.

Meanwhile, Pinkie was squaring off against the Kirin-like dragon and threw some sprinkle bombs at the beast. But the dragon formed a small tornado around it which sent the sprinkle bombs flying in different directions, exploding upon impact.

“Whoops…” Pinkie muttered. She then finds herself sucked into the tornado and whirls around in it for a good minute before being sent flying and getting slammed face first into a wall. “Owie…” the party girl groaned.

Back with Sunset, she was staring down at the white and blue dragon, “We know you're from Equestria. Tell us, why have you come to this world? Why are you here?!” The fiery-haired girl demanded. But instead of answering, the dragon unleashed its ice breath upon her.

Sunset was able to jump out of the way in time but barely. As she looked up, she saw the dragon looming over her and was about to raise its claw to crush her, but she managed to roll out of the way as it came down.

Using this chance, Sunset grabs the beast’s claw and her eyes lit up. Multiple visions instantly flashed in her mind and what she saw shocked her. There were images of humanoid figures with gas masks and glowing red visors, the thunder of machine guns and dragons crying out in pain, the silhouette of a big hulking creature Sunset has never seen before, a portal opening up and a woman’s cry being heard, “NO!!! WHERE ARE YOU TAKING HIM!?!? GIVE HIM BACK!!!

Sunset instantly let's go and was terrified of what she just saw. While she didn’t see everything in that flashback, she was able to piece enough of it together to understand the situation better. But she has more questions than answers now.

Before she could think any further however, the white and blue dragon grabbed her and pinned her to a wall.

The dragon’s facial expression was almost emotionless, but Sunset could see the fury in its heterochronic eyes.

Just then, both heard someone shout, “Freeze!!!” Both turn to see Commissioner Flash Magnus and an army of law enforcers, pointing their weapons at the beast.

The dragon instantly unleashed an ice breath and formed some sort of ice wall between it and Sunset and the law enforcers. It then turned back to Sunset and spoke in a female voice, “You would be wise to stay out of our way.” The beast then dropped Sunset and let out a bellowing roar.

Upon hearing their sister’s call, the other dragons stopped their fighting with the other Rainbooms. The brown and green dragon immediately picked itself up and began to burrow at inhumanly fast. The other dragons quickly followed suit and entered the getaway hole their sibling made. The white and blue dragon was the last to leave but before she did, she created another ice wall around the burrow so they wouldn't be followed so soon.

Sunset picked herself up and dusted herself off, still shocked by what she saw in her visions. She realized these dragons came to this world looking for something… or rather someone. But what or who, she doesn’t know yet. All she knows is that these dragons won’t stop until they have found what they're looking for…

Welcome to Santa Ponyville

On the outskirts of Canterlot, a large sum of dirt suddenly burst from the ground and the brown and green dragon emerged not long after with the others following suit. The white and blue dragon was the last to come out and instantly made an ice block within the hole just to be on the safe side.

The serpentine dragon growled and turned to the white and blue one, “Fridgia, what the Tartarus!? Why did we run!? You know we could’ve taken those guys!” It yelled in a female’s voice.

“We came here looking for Aquarius, Voltina, not to pick fights with this world’s inhabitants.” Fridgia replied.

The magenta dragon, finally ripping the diamond bracelet out of her mouth, approached Voltina, “She is right, little sister. We can’t waste time needlessly attacking everything on sight.” The serpentine dragon could only grumble in response. The magenta dragon then turned to Fridgia, “Still, those humans we fought back there, they were… different.”

“Agreed Fira, especially the one I fought. She actually smelled of… pony.” Fridgia pointed out.

The kirin-like dragon spoke up, “What?! What’s a pony doing living among this world’s denizens?”

“Your question is as good as mine, Venta,” Fridgia replied with a sigh, “Finding Aquarius may not be as easy as we originally thought.”

“What do we do now sister?” Fira asked.

“For now, we should rethink our approach with our search for Aquarius lest we attract the attention of those humans again.” Fridgia replied.

“Yeah, I bet ya Terra doesn’t want to get tossed around again.” Voltina said which earned her a growl and a glare from the brown and green dragon, “What? I’m just saying.”

With that, the dragons left the frozen hole behind them.

On their way to Santa Ponyville, Scorpan and the boys stopped at a fast food joint to grab some lunch.

After the boys had their fill, Rumble asked, “So Mr. Scorpan, how are the waves lately?”

“Pretty damn good if I do say so myself. Santa Ponyville does have some of the best waves in the state” Scorpan replied. “Though just to give you the heads up, every young surfer from the west coast is gonna be there, so you boys better be expecting a lot of competition.”

“We couldn’t have it any other way uncle.” Spike said with a smile.

After a couple hours of talking and listening to music, Scorpan and the boys have finally reached their destination.

Santa Ponyville. A large seaside town where many people come to surf. While it can be quite a tourist trap with its beaches, boardwalk, warfs, local restaurants, and accessory shops, it’s still a very nice place to come to, especially during the summertime.

Not too long when they enter town, they pull up near the boardwalk. The boys got out of the winnebago with Scorpan not too far behind. He gave each of the boys some money before saying, “I got a couple places to go before we head to my place, you boys go ahead and have a little fun while I do that, ok?”

“You got it uncle.” Spike replied with a nod. Scorpan smiled before he turned and headed towards a nearby grocery store. Spike and his buds then went to the boardwalk, starting with the arcade.

"Oooh!" Button Mash squealed like a fanboy meeting his hero for the first time. "I've died and entered heaven! Space Invaders! Donkey Kong! Street Fighters! EEEEEEHHH!!!"

And just like that, Button Mash was already jumping on game consoles to mash the buttons, leaving Spike and the rest of his guy pals to shake their heads at Button Mash's antics.

"Button Mash and his games," Spike muttered, with the others joining.

"Well, while we're here, I'm gonna shoot some hoops," Rumble said, walking over to a nearby basketball arcade game.

"I call dibs on Whack-a-Mole!" Pipsqueak said as he left to play his game.

Thorax turned to Spike and asked, "So, Spike. What do you think of playing?"

Spike thought about it for a minute before answering, “You know, I wanna try that new arcade shooter they recently installed. So let’s check that out.”

“Got room for two more?” A voice called out. “I heard it’s a four player game.”

Both Spike and Thorax turn to the source of the voice and see two other boys slightly older than them.

The first boy, the one who called out to Spike and Thorax, had a light cyan and moderate opal messy hair and light sea green eyes. For attire, he wore a light green shirt with an image of three turtles on it, brown cargo shorts, and sandals. The second boy had light blue hair with amber streaks at the tips and moderate azure eyes. For attire, he wore a dark blue jacket with yellow outlines over a white jacket with a picture of a griffon on it, gray sweats, and yellow sneakers.

“Sandbar! Gallus!” Spike yelled excitedly as he and Thorax head on over to two boys and exchange fist bumps. “It’s good to see you guys!”

“Same here Spike.” Sandbar said.

“Are you two ready for the Grom Splashdown?” Thorax asked.

“Is that even a question? Heck yeah we are.” Gallus replied rather cockily.

“That’s good to hear.” Spike smiled.

“What are we all standing around for? Let’s check that arcade shooter out!” Thorax exclaimed.

The other boys nodded to this and headed over to the game.

Back over at Canterlot, one of the operators that was in the SWAT van was waiting down in an alleyway with a disk in hand. After a couple minutes, he was approached by a dark figure.

“Give this to the commander. He’s gonna want to see it.” The operator said as he handed the disk over to the figure.

The figure nodded as he took the disk and left as mysteriously as he came.

Button Mash was later playing a game of Don Bluth's Dragon's Lair. The game where the player controls the hero, Dirk the Daring, to rescue the game's damsel-in-distress, Princess Daphne, from the dragon that had kidnapped her.

Thorax, Gallus, and Sandbar stood on the sidelines, cheering for their friend.

"C'mon, Button! FOCUS!" Sandbar shouted.

"C'mon, man!" Gallus barked. "Get past this level and that sexy Princess Daphne is saved!"

"Again, how did Don Bluth get away with that?" Thorax asked, before he resumed, "C'mon, Button! WATCH OUT FOR THE DRAGON!"

But despite all his best efforts, Button lost the game, much to his dismay, as well as the disappointment of his guys.

"DANG!" Gallus grunted.

"You were so close!" Sandbar moaned.

"I told you to focus on the dragon and not on Daphne's revealing attire," Thorax chastised.

"I can't help it!" Button whined. "When I look at Daphne, she reminds me of Sweetie Belle. And when I think of Sweetie, I think I'm her knight-in-shining armor, rescuing her from the Diamond Dogs in Ogres and Oubliettes!"

"...You've got a way with the ladies, y'know that?" Gallus replied in sarcasm.

While that was going on, Spike, Rumble, and Pipsqueak were outside doing some sightseeing over at the beach.

“Wow lads, I think I spotted a blue-foot booby!” Pip said as he was bird spotting through some binoculars.

“Oh yeah, I’m spotting some boobies myself.” Rumble grinned pervertedly as he was using his own binoculars not to watch birds but girls in bikinis.

But for Spike, he wasn’t watching for any birds or babes in bikinis. No, it was the vast ocean. Ever since he was very young, Spike had always admired the sea though he never understood why. He just enjoyed the crisp smell of sea salt and the sound of crashing waves. Tuning out everything else, he just closed his eyes and listened to the ocean’s beautiful music.

After a few minutes however, Spike felt a tap on his shoulder, snapping him back to reality.

“Yo Spike, weren’t you listening?” Rumble asked.

“Huh? Oh, sorry I wasn’t…” Spike replied sheepishly.

“I said we’re gonna check out the rest of the boardwalk. Wanna join us?”

“Oh sure,” Spike replied, “Sorry, got a bit zoned out there for a sec.” He then got up and joined the other boys.

”So, Button?” Spike asked. “How’d it go? Did you uh…slay the dragon to rescue the damsel-in-distress?”

Button Mash, however, was too embarrassed to answer. That, however, didn’t stop Gallus from answering for him.

“Poor Button got roasted real bad,” Gallus chuckled.

“GALLUS!!!” Button Mash shouted in irritation.

“But if it’s any consolation, Button has gotten the farthest than anyone else who played the game,” Sandbar lightened the mood. “Take a look! It’s on his scoreboard!”

The boys exchanged chuckles, sans Spike. Thorax was the first to notice.

“What’s the matter, Spike?” Thorax asked. “Something wrong?”

“Uh…no. Nothing too serious,” Spike reassured. “It’s just… Does it always have to be dragons?”

“What do you mean?” Sandbar asked.

“Well, as Hagrid once said, dragons are seriously misunderstood creatures,” Spike commented.

“What makes you say that, Spike?” Thorax asked.

“Don’t get me wrong. Some dragons are greedy and evil, who guard treasures they stole. Like Smaug and Singe. But sometimes, we have good dragons, like Spyro, Toothless, and Sapphira from Eragon.”

“Worst movie adaptation that could’ve been better handled, with care,” Pipsqueak commented.

“Yeah. That…” Spike replied. “And sometimes, dragons are victims of circumstances beyond their control. Y’know what I mean?”

Spike’s guys all turned to exchange looks, before they turned back to Spike, “What makes you say that, Spike?” Thorax asked.

“Well, I remember watching this animation awhile back, about dragons that have gems for hearts. And that these hearts are very valuable and can be made into jewels.”

“Whoa! Really?” Rumble asked.

“Yeah, because in the animation, a knight happened upon the cave of a mother dragon, to find her baby and…”

“No, no! Don’t want to hear it!” Button Mash covered his ears, but listened anyway.

“He did the baby in…” Spike revealed bluntly.

“Oh! Spoiler alert…” Button Mash frowned.

Nevertheless, the boys were all shocked and disgusted to hear how the story was developed.

“The poor baby!” Thorax whimpered. “How could anyone do that?”

“Apparently, the knight did it so that he could win a princess’s hand in marriage. But the joke was on them, because the baby dragon’s heart, which was made into a necklace, turned her into a dragon. And the knight didn’t recognize her, so he chased her. Blah blah blah. You have to see it to know how it ends.”

Spike then looked up at a dragon plushie.

“I don’t know, guys. But seeing that sort of story just makes me realize that not everything is black and white…”

“Yeah,” Gallus nodded. “And saying that dragons have hearts of crystals is like saying griffons have hearts of gold…literally.”

“And that Klugetown was built around a giant dragon skeleton, where the inhabitants built a mining operation at its crystal heart,” Button Mash added.

The other boys just looked at him confused.

“Er, it’s from a game I play.” The nerd boy clarified.

“You and your games, Button…” Rumble said with a roll of his eyes.

Just then, Spike’s phone went off and he saw that his uncle texted him. “Alrighty guys it’s time to go. Uncle Scorpan is waiting outside for us.”

The other boys groaned. They wanted to stay and explore the boardwalk a little longer but there was always tomorrow. With that, the boys head where Scorpan and his winnebago with Sandbar and Gallus joining them.

Scorpan and the boys had arrived at the former's hut which was located right near a well-hidden beach. The place was a surfer’s paradise, very few know it’s existence and is considered a “Secret Spot”.

Spike and his guys followed Scorpan into the hut, where Scorpan whistled for his pet.

“Vee Vee! Here girl!” Scorpan called in.

Answering the call of its master was a bark. Except it wasn’t a dog. Flopping on her belly, bouncing on her flippers, appeared to be a harp seal. The seal barked happily as she came running up to her owner, who gave her a few pats on the head. Vee Vee then barked even louder upon seeing Spike.

“Hey there Vee Vee - oof!” Spike grunted as the seal tackled him to the ground who then gave him a few nuzzles. Spike couldn’t help but giggle at this. “Ok, ok. I’m happy to see you too.” Spike then gently takes the seal off of him.

Many years ago during a dark, stormy night and when Vee Vee was a little pup, she got washed ashore near Scorpan’s hut a little banged up. The old surfer looked after the little seal until she was back to full health and since then, she never left his side.

The boys went into separate rooms to change into their swimwear. They then came out with their surfboards in hand.

Spike’s swimwear is a dark purple wetsuit with emerald green trimmings and his surfboard was purple with an image of a green aquatic dragon.

Thorax wore black swim shorts and his surfboard was a light green with an image of a beetle.

Button Mash wore brownish red trunks and his surfboard was black with images of different video game controllers across it.

Rumble wore dark gray swim shorts and his surfboard was light gray with an image of a Pegasus.

Pipsqueak wore a white wetsuit with brown trimmings and his surfboard was green with an image of a parrot. It originally belonged to his adopted mother Celaeno before she handed it down to him.

Sandbar wore a turquoise wetsuit with lime green trimmings and his surfboard was neon green with an image of three turtles.

Gallus wore blue swim shorts with yellow trimmings and his surfboard was a bright yellow with an image on a griffon.

“Ain’t you gonna join us uncle?” Spike asked upon seeing Scorpan still in his casual attire.

“Nah, you boys go on ahead. I need to figure out what to cook us all for dinner tonight.” Scorpan replied.

Spike just shrugged at this, “Whatever you say uncle.” He said before he and the rest of the boys headed out with Vee Vee following suit.

Stoked Theme Song (FULL VERSION)

The boys rushed out to the beach and began riding some waves.

Pretty soon, the boys began doing all sorts of tricks with Rumble doing a vertical while Button did a noseride. Gallus managed to perform a bottom turn without falling off his board. Pip was balancing his board on the waves with Vee Vee at the tip. Sandbar was able to successfully perform multiple kickflips before doing a kerrupt flip. Thorax did a sushi roll before doing a hang ten.

For Spike, he was just simply riding the waves and enjoying himself. Whenever he’s out in the ocean, this is where he excels at, where he belongs.

For reasons he can’t quite explain, Spike just loves being in water. He feels as if he can clear his mind and just relax. It was as if the water truly is his comfort zone, where all his problems of the present moment, his stresses of the past and future can literally wash away.

After a while, it started to get dark. The boys and Vee Vee came up ashore where Scorpan was making some Hawaiian bbq. A little later, the boys were sitting down around a bond fire and enjoying their dinner.

“You know guys, I have a strong feeling that this summer vacation is gonna be special.” Spike spoke up.

“Why do you think that?” Gallus asked.

Spike just shrugged, “I don’t know really. Call it a hunch.” He replied.

“Well either way. I can’t wait to participate in the Grom Splashdown!” Rumble said excitedly. All the other boys shared his enthusiasm.

Spike then looked back at the ocean, excited about what tomorrow brings.

The Search for Aquarius Part 1: Getting Dressed

View Online

In the next morning and near a cliff side on the outskirts of Canterlot City, the dragon sisters were around a bonfire, roasting some wild game they caught.

Voltina was munching on a cooked rabbit before speaking up, “Tho howth are weth thuppoth tho fith Aquariuth thow?” She asked with food still in her mouth.

“Voltina, how many times do we have to tell you to not talk with your mouth full?” Fira berated her sister.

With a growl and a roll of her eyes, the electric dragon swallowed her breakfast before repeating herself. “I said: So how are we supposed to find Aquarius now?”

“Voltina brings up a good question,” Venta said, “Lest we get unwanted attention again, we can’t just fly around and hope we spot him.”

“Indeed, Venta. We need to be more subtle and discreet.” Fridgia stated. ”We must blend in with the humans to hide in plain sight.”

Voltina looked up at her sister, with eyes of wonder, as if knowing where they were going.

“Y-Y-You don’t mean…” Voltina began.

“Yes little sister, we must disguise ourselves as humans.” Fridgia answered. ”Fira, do you have the clothes?”

“I had to scare a few humans, but I’ve got them,” The fire dragon said, presenting her latest steal of clothes from the mall.

“Couldn’t you have just roasted ‘em?” Voltina asked.

Fira glared at her sister, ”If I did that little sister then I would be no better than the monsters who slaughtered our people and took Aquarius from us!” She chastised.

Voltina just rolled her eyes before saying, “Whatever. So, any ideas where any of these go on our bodies?”

“I may have a solution to that.” Venta spoke up before her gem let up and dozens of magazines came pouring out of it. Each and every one of them were about clothes.

Voltina sighed, “Welp, let’s do this then.”

All of their gems lit up and there was a flash of blinding light…

Hydra

In a barely lit room, a large, burly figure was watching the Rainbooms and the dragon sisters duking it out from a large monitor while smoking a cigar. After a few minutes, the footage ends.

The figure turned to a smaller man beside him, “Is this all of it?” He asked in a deep, growly voice.

“Yes sir,” The assistant simply replied, “This was all our operative was able to retrieve.”

“I see. And there were no other dragons? Just these five?”

“It would appear so sir. As you may already know, all this occurred in Canterlot City. It has been a hot spot for magical incidents and has been on our radar for quite some time.” The assistant said as he showed his superior videos of Princess Twilight and her friends fight with a demon Sunset Shimmer, the Rainbooms magical music battle with the Dazzlings, Daydream Shimmer’s duel with Midnight Sparkle, and lastly the girls squaring off against Gaia Everfree.

“I don’t need a history lesson. I’m well aware of the happenings in that city.” The figure said, “Still, it confirms our suspicions that there’s a portal somewhere there if those particular dragons have shown up in our world.”

“You sound like you know them sir.”

“You could say that…” The figure replied, “Where are they now?”

“Unknown sir. Though we do have reasons to believe that they may still be somewhere around the city.”

“I see,” The figure said as he flicked his cigar away before grabbing a gas mask that looked akin to a snarling beast and putting it on. He then turned to the assistant, “Continue monitoring the city, I have a feeling those dragons haven't left there yet. If they do show up again, I want to be the first to know.”

The assistant nodded, “Yes… Commander Behemoth.”

”UGH! These freaking pants and underwear feel like they’re crawling up my butt or something! I mean seriously, how the Tartarus do these humans walk like this?” Voltina cringed in disdain at the feeling of the unusual clothings she and her sisters had been forced to wear.

They all stood, in the light of day, no longer dragons, but beautiful teenage girls. Though they do have some features that made them stand out a bit such as slightly pointed ears, slit eyes and noticeable sharp fangs whenever they open their mouths. The color of their respective manes was also now the color of their hairs.

Fridgia looked like a tall nineteen-year-old with brown skin and her hair was done in a ponytail with a bang almost covering her right eye. For attire, she wore a white sweater with matching sweats and shoes.

Fira looked like an eighteen-year-old with her hair in the style of a loose bob cut. For attire, she wore a magenta leather coat with a white tank top underneath, red jeans, and a pair of matching boots.

Terra looked like a muscular seventeen-year-old with long brown hair with green streaks. For attire, she wore a brown tank top, making the scars across her arms very visible, green jeans, and brown sneakers with green streaks. She also wore a baseball cap on her head.

Venta looked like a sixteen-year-old with her hair in the style of four swirled ojou ringlets. For attire she wore a green jacket over a purple belly shirt, blue denim shorts, and purple go-go boots.

And lastly, Voltina looked like a fifteen-year-old with her hair being in the style of a long, wavy side tail that hangs on the left side of her face. For attire, she wore a short, sleeveless yellow jacket over a black shirt with an image of a lightning bolt on it, gray jeans with yellow streaks, and yellow sneakers.

“Speak for yourself little sister, I actually like these threads.” Venta said as she checked herself out.

Voltina rolled her eyes in annoyance, “Of course you’d say that…” She grumbled.

However, this didn’t go unheard.

Venta glared at her sister, “Well, excuse me Voltina. At least I make these clothes look good.”

“What’s that supposed to mean!?” Voltina growled as she got up to Venta’s face.

Both sisters made inhuman growls at each other as electricity cackled through Voltina’s body while a small whirlwind twirled around Venta.

However, they both interrupted when a small fireball came flying and exploded at their feet, causing both sisters to yelp.

“Knock it off you two!” Fira chastised before putting on a pair of glasses and brushed her hair. "Stay focused on why we came here to begin with. The sooner we find Aquarius, the sooner we can ditch these clothes, regain our true forms and go home."

Both Venta and Voltina gulped and said, “Yes Fira…”

Fira huffed at her sisters, to which actual puffs of smoke came out her nostrils, before turning to Fridgia, “Well I believe we’re ready sister.”

The oldest sister nodded, “Agreed.” She then turned to Canterlot to which the cliff they were on overlooked. “That city down there has Aquarius’ presence all over it.” She said as saw a blanket of green aura with her green eye. She then turned to her sisters, “Finding him won’t be easy, so I think it’s best we split up and cover more ground.”

Fira, Terra, and Venta nodded to this while Voltina chuckled deviously, excited for all the mischief she’ll cause.

“And Voltina.” Fridgia suddenly said.

“Y-Yeah sis?” Voltina stuttered as Fridgia’s attention turned towards her.

“We all expect you to be on your best behavior down there, understand?” The ice dragon said sternly.

Voltina gulped loudly before replying, “Y-Yeah, don’t worry Fridgia, I won’t cause anything while we’re down there.” She finished with an innocent smile. However, she crossed her fingers behind her back when she said that.

“Good. Alright, time to get moving.” Just like that, the dragon sisters left the cliff and made their way to the city.
