Hitch put the last of the papers away. It was Saturday evening and tonight, he was going to spend the evening with his marefriend, Sunny. He smiled, putting the papers into a folder and tucking them neatly into his back. He swung his bag on his back, trotting towards the crystal lighthouse that the 5 friends had built together.
Hitch rang the doorbell. The glass door opened. Hitch went into the sitting room and sat down. “I’m coming!” shouted Sunny. Sunny came in, holding a collection of canapes. “Wow!” said Hitch. “Somepony’s been busy!” Sunny nodded. “Well,” she said. “What do you wanna do? Watch a movie? Play a board game? Play a video game? Sit and chat?” “Um...” he said. “You’re the guest,” she said, kissing him on his cheek. “You choose.” “Um...” he said. “Um... what about we watch a movie?” “What do you wanna watch?” she asked. “Raponyzel?” he suggested. “Sorry, I mean Tangled.” “Tangled it is,” she replied, logging onto Disney Plus. “Help yourself,” she said. “Go on.”
He smiled. “Actually, I changed my mind. La La Land.” “Ooh!” squealed Sunny. “I love that film!” She logged out of Disney Plus and put the La La Land DVD in the player. They sat on their butts, staring intently at the screen.
“Emma Stone is amazing, isn’t she?” said Hitch, halfway through the movie. “Yes,” replied Sunny. “So is Ryan Gosling.”
Hitch nodded, singing City of Stars softly. She smiled. “You’ve got a good voice,” she said. He blushed, as red as a tomato. “Thanks,” he replied shyly. She kissed him gently on his cheek again. “You’re an amazing pony,” she said. He blushed again.
When the movie had ended, Sunny looked out of the window. It was raining. “You can’t go home in this weather!” she cried. “You have to stay!”
Hitch looked at her nervously. “Fine,” he said.
(Flash X Sunset)Feelin' the love Part 1: I love you, Sunset
I sat next to Sunset, her cyan eyes warm with love and kindness. She and I were an official item, and ever since, the entire year teased us for it. Now, we were alone in my house, in my bedroom. We were chatting about stuff that happened. Even though Sunset still had her bad days, I tried to help her get rid of those bad feelings. I loved Sunset; she loved me. We had so many adventures together, and so many times when we kept embarrassing each other.
She smiled, sliding into bed. She had no pyjama bottom, nor did I. I slid next to her, cuddling close to her. “Sunset?” I asked. “Are we allowed to have... you know what?” “Sex?” barked Sunset. “Of course. I give full permission.” She kissed me gently. We smiled, having it together. I daren’t say it aloud. My father would probably kill me.
Sunset and I fell asleep, still in each other’s embrace.
The next day, my dad came in, seeing us snuggled up together like 2 peas in a pod. Sunset smiled. She got up, going straight to the mirror. A loud cackle sounded from behind. As Demon Shimmer appeared, Sunset’s hands shot over her head in fear. “Get away you fiend!” she cried. “You’ll never get away from me!” cackled her demon. “I’m you. Your evil shadow, always following you, watching you. I can’t believe you, Sunset Shimmer! You had sex with that boy.” “He’s not a boy,” snarled Sunset. “He’s my boyfriend. I love him!” “And when he splits up with you, you’ll have nowhere to go but me!” cried Demon Shimmer. “Shut it,” snarled Sunset. “Shut it, demon.” Demon Shimmer grinned menacingly. She flew towards Sunset. “One day, Sunset Reginald Shimmer, I’ll take over your whole body!” “Never!” she shouted. “Never in my fuckin’ life I’ll let you take over me!”
Demon Shimmer disappeared into the mirror.
I brought a pregnancy test out of a shopping bag. We went into the bathroom and Sunset weed on it. Positive. We knew that. We just had the deed.
9 months later, things started to become tricky. Sunset and I were at school, in Physics class. Although I was shit at Physics, I did it because I enjoyed it. I looked at Sunset, who was very pale. She looked as if she was gonna pass out. She screamed, as the pain coursed through her body. I knew she was ready.
I ran into the toilets, laying Sunset on the floor. “Breathe, Sunset,” I said. “It’s gonna be okay.” Tears were streaming down her face, as she kept screaming. “Push,” I said. “That’s it.” “Flash,” she wept. “Flash, I think-” she screamed again.
“Hangfire,” I said. “I’m getting help.”
I ran out of the toilets, to Nurse Redheart. I told her what had happened. I led her to the toilets, where Sunset was still trying to stay calm.
Nurse Redheart told me to go into the cubicle while she sorted Sunset out. I heard screams of agony from the cubicle I was in. And then, silence. A cry of a baby sounded. I unlocked the cubicle. Sunset had passed out, and Nurse Redheart was holding our child. “It’s a girl,” said Redheart. “What about Alice?” I suggested. “Sunset? Can you hear me?” No answer. “Well, I think it’s wonderful,” said Nurse Redheart. I kissed Sunset. I was holding our daughter. Sunset blinked. “Is that our daughter, Flash?” she asked. “Yes,” I replied. “Her name is Alice. Do you wanna hold her?”
“Yeah,” she said, sitting up. I passed Alice to her. Sunset rocked her gently in her arms. “She looks like you,” I said. “Except she has my eyes.”
Sunset laughed. “Flash, I love you,” she said softly. We kissed, just as Rainbow Dash came in. “My eyes!” cried Rainbow Dash, closing their eyes. “My eyes!”
We laughed. “Oh, Dash,” I said. “It’s safe.”
Rainbow Dash opened their eyes. Alice gurgled happily in Sunset’s arms. “Oh, by the way,” said Rainbow Dash. “Fluttershy and I are gay.”
“Congratulations!” cried Sunset. “I’m so happy for you!” I smiled. Sunset smiled back.
“Sunset?” I asked, sitting next to her, pulling a ring out. The ring was an emerald colour. “Will you marry me?” “Yes!” cried Sunset. “I will.”
We kissed again, passionately.

Sprout’s bulldozer machine came around the corner. “LOOK OUT, SUNNY!” shouted Hitch, pulling the young mare aside. Their eyes met briefly. Sunny blushed.
“I’m gonna rein that thing in!” shouted Hitch. “I’ll help,” said Zipp. “GO!” shouted Hitch, as they climbed onto the back of the bulldozer. “UNITE THE CRYSTALS!”
Sunny, Izzy and Pipp galloped to the lighthouse, placing the crystals in place. Sprout’s machine crashed into the lighthouse, spurting gooey slime balls at the other unicorns and pegasi. “What if we unscrewed this?” asked Hitch. Zipp hurried to Hitch’s side. They pulled out the screw with their hoof. The goo machine went flying into the lighthouse. “SUNNY!” shouted Zipp. “Sprout, this ends now!” shouted Hitch. He slid down the front window. He was about to get run over when Sunny galloped out, dragging him towards her. “Sunny,” said Hitch. Sunny smiled, her hoof under his chin. He smiled, leaning towards her- The bulldozer headed for the young couple. Hitch leapt onto the back of the bulldozer, where Zipp was still hanging. Miraculously. Sunny ran back to the lighthouse. Izzy was hanging out. Pipp was outside.
“IZZY!” shouted Sunny. “Hang on, Izzy!” “AHHHHH!” cried Izzy. Sunny found rope, that kept back her curtains. She put a large loop in it, putting it around Izzy. She pulled it taut, pulling her into the lighthouse.
Sprout crashed into the lighthouse again. Hitch saw another rope hanging down the cracking walls of the lighthouse. He scrambled up it. “Sunny, Izzy!” he shouted. “I’m coming!”
Hitch fell backwards, as Sprout crashed into the lighthouse again. Sunny and Izzy fell and were caught under the rubble. Hitch fell to the ground. He screamed as the bulldozer went over him.
“HITCH!” shouted Sunny, freeing her and Izzy from the rubble. Sprout reversed. He got out. Sunny brushed her plum-coloured mane out of her face.
His lifeless body lay flat on the floor. “Hitch...” said Sunny. “NO!” Sunny broke down into sobs. Zipp walked over to her. “How dare you!” shouted Zipp. “How dare you fucking run over our kind, wonderful, generous sheriff, you power-hungry little... BITCH!”
They snarled at Sprout. Sprout shrank back. Sunny looked at Hitch’s body. She looked at the crystals, shattered. She knew what she needed to do.
“I understand now,” she said. “We don’t have to be separated by fear and distrust. We can choose friendship. We can choose... love. That’s the true magic.”
The crystals reformed, as they wound around Sunny, then Hitch. Sunny reared in panic, neighing.
As the light died down, Hitch was on the floor, Sunny had gained a pair of ethereal wings and a horn. She, Zipp and Pipp began to fly excitedly. “THIS IS AWESOME!” cried Zipp.
Sunny flew down to Hitch. She put her hoof on his shoulder. His brown eyes fluttered open. “Hitch,” she said. “Sunny!” he cried, rising up, hugging her. The couple were wrapped in a warm embrace. Hitch kissed her gently. “Sunny. I love you,” he said softly. “I always have.”
He smiled, as they pulled apart. They blushed, the same colour as Sunny’s mane. “YAY!” cried Izzy. “NOW WE NEVER HAVE TO BE APART!” Everypony laughed.
Sunny looked up as everypony began to scream. “UNICORN ATTACK!” yelled Sprout “Get the traps!” yelled Hitch. Sunny galloped towards them. “No!” she shouted. “Listen to me! She’s harmless!” She grabbed the unicorn and they galloped to her lighthouse.
The 2 ponies had a conversation. Sunny was surprised Izzy did not have magic. Then Sunny had an idea.
“Izzy,” she said. “We’re going to Zephyr Heights.”
Up ahead, is the sky growing dark? Where it leads is a big question mark And I'm scared that I'll end up a pony gone missing from pegasus-ing
