"Hold still, it will only hurt a little" said Colgate trying to calm her patient as she tried to pull the patients plaque covered tooth. "bah ih hurrr" the patient was trying her hardest to speak but to no avail. "please don't try to talk, it may result in more pain" Colgate tried to reason but had to sedate her. "Its really for your best interest, dont want you to get hurt do we?" Colgate gave a big smile, tilted her head, and waited for her to relax.
Derpy and Blossomforth
"Derpy, we have to clear the skies, come on!" Derpy just continued her blank stare into the school window, watching her sister do her work. Derpy had promised her sister she'd come by the school once day, and she wasn't going to break it. Blossomforth forgot about that promise but soon remembered what she was doing. "Oh Derpy" said Blossom to herself quietly. When Derpy finishes her mail route she would always visit her sister,Ditzy. It gave her a sense of comfort because she is always being bullied by diamond tiara and silver spoon, all because her sister, Derpy, has "derp" eyes. Derpy did not take that well, she went over to Roselucks flower shop and just looked at the pretty flowers. It must have made her happy once more.
Dr. Whooves
Dear, Lyra in my research I have not found any proof of "humans". These supposed "humans" have not existed in pony history. Further more, I have requisitioned, from Princess Luna and Celestia, for all Star swirl the bearded spells in the royal Canterlot Library. I hope to aid in your research.

"I now there is a such thing as humans, my dreams tell me so. I am not insane or crazy, i don't see a problem in think that they are possible. Dr. Whooves may believe in me, but the others don't. Even so they are my friends and i must respect their opinions. I now Celestia is withholding something from me, or am I being paranoid?
Roseluck
Rose was watering her plants, and noticed one was dead, she looked at it and it came back to life, "much better" said Rose in a proud and lovely voice. Her cutie mark was bringing life to the dead....plants, of course. Even she thought it was a weird talent, she never let anypony know of it in fear it would scare them. She could not see how ponies would be scared but she was cautious. She had no friends, she was shy and lonely, she had her plants though, she kept them in prize winning condition. She loved plant, always made her smile, even others. Especially Derpy, she might be considered a friend to Derpy but she was shy to admit it, even to herself. She wants friends, she needs friends, if only she could break her shell.
*Ding* "Welcome to The Rose Bush, how may I help you?" rose was talking in a low, sweet, shy voice. The mare was browsing the first row of plants at the front of the shop. I'll just let her finish on her own, thought Rose. The mare was still just staring at the plants. Rose thought she recognized the mare, blue-grey skin, blonde mane. She kept thinking then it hit her, it was Derpy. Rose was sure she had a bad day, derpy never bought a plant, or flower, but she had grabbed a big pudding rose bush. "Oh, hi Derpy, how are you?" Derpy had very sad looking eyes, even with one facing up and the other down, Rose could tell she was hurting. "It's Ditzy, she had another fight with silver spoon, i wish i could have stopped it!" Derpy was just now shedding tears when she was done. "I'm so sorry Derpy, anything I can do for you?" Derpy looked up with big eyes and said "a friend". Rose was not wanting to be friends, she was hoping to just give Derpy the plant for free and then she'd leave. "Oh well I'm not good at being a friend" rose was looking down, blushing. Derpy was now loudly screaming and crying.
Colgate was walking home when, "sorry, pardon me, 'scuse me! *shove* "ah,what was that?" Colgate looked up and saw a teal pony struggling to put papers back in a binder. "Hay, aren't you going to apologize?" The teal pony looked up with a look of shock on her face," I'm so sorry, I was on my way to see Dr. Whooves, and I bumped in to you". Colgate recognized the name, she worked with Dr. Whooves, though he was an actual doctor while she was a dentist. " I work with the good doctor". "My name is Lyra, Lyra Heartstrings, I've been doing research with him, look I'm having dinner with him tomorrow, maybe we can all have lunch together, my treat, of course. Colgate was going to say yes but Lyra was gone. Looks like she had made a Friend? Blossom was running through Ponyville, she got tackled by a shocked, crazy, teal colored pony. She just got up thought and ran off, besides, Blossom had to find Derpy. Derpy ran off after they visited the school and found her daughter beating up Silver spoon. Derpy was so upset, she ran off with out saying a word. I bet she's at The Rose Garden.Blossom opened the door of The Rose Garden *ding* she heard laughter coming from the back. She walked in and saw Derpy laughing with a mare named Rose. This was surprising, Rose is anti-social. Rose saw her and lowered her head, stopped laughing, and went back to being shy. "Are you alright Derpy? I've been looking everywhere for you". Derpy just noticed her, she began saying,"Rose was just being a good friend, i just needed a friend". Rose just sat ther, blushing due to being embarrassed. Rose and I were going to go have dinner, you should join us" She took a minute to think about it, she never thought Rose was right in the head, but Derpy needed friends. "Alright."

If I'm going out to dinner I might as well look good. Colgate was contemplating what to to wear to dinner.Would she wear something simple, like her white dress, or something colorful, like her blue and green dress? "I'll wear my green and blue dress." Colgate had finally made her mind up, she left her house and was ready to leave. She made her way over to the restaurant called Corral, she entered and was asked if she had a reservation, but she had no idea and she did not the teal ponies name. "uh...uh" she had no idea what to say, "do you have a reservation ma'am?" Before she could reply a voice sounded from the distance,"Over here!" A teal figure was standing up yelling as loud as she could, Colgate was getting embarrassed, but still sat down at the table. "Hey, uh, forgot you're name. Colgate put a big smile on as she waited for the pony to finish her tea."My name is Lyra, Lyra Heartstrings" Colgate could now remember it, she told her what her name was just before she asked her to dinner. "Dr.Whooves will join us in a second, I'm sure, he is just finishing up some research" Colgate forgot all about Whooves joining them, " Oh I almost forgot he was joining us" Lyra got a smirk on her face, "You seem to forget a lot" Colgate was, again embarrassed, but had to agree with her. "I have been forgetting a lot lately, I wounder if I'm sick" They both shared a laugh and was interrupted, "What would you like to eat, ladies?" Lyra was ready to order, while Colgate was not. I'll take a hay and jelly sandwich, please" "What kind of jelly would you like?" "Blueberry if you have any" The waiter then asked Colgate what she wanted," Uh.... just what she's having, that'll do" The waiter took our menu's and left. "Hello ladies, how has you're day? I'm sorry for being late but I was working on the research" Colgate was so confused about what they were talking about, what was this research about?
"Friends are special.....friends are forever" Pinkie pie kept singing a song about friendship. "Pinkie, can you please stop singing?" Rose was trying to tell pinkie to stop singing but she could not use a loud enough voice. "Friends......love, love, love" "Pinkieeeeee!" Blossom had to scream at her just to get her to stop singing. "Yes?" pinkie was fluttering her eyelashes," I think that's enough singing for tonight" pinkie seemed to be alright. "Alright, but remember friendship is, FOREVER!" She just vanished, not saying anything else. "Why was she singing?" Rose must not of known about pinkie being extremely random," She must of known about us all being new friends" Derpy's bubbly personality had for once again been right about the situation. "Well I just met you guys, can we really be called friends?" Rose let her shyness get the better of her. "Of course we can Rose , you were there for me when I needed friends the most" Derpy must not know about Rose being anti-social and shy. "Derpy, we can be friends, right Rose?" Rose was doing her signature move of looking at the ground when being addressed,"Oh, if you want me to be you're friend, i guess we can" Rose was not very convincing at being a friend. Their food arrived and they ate, Derpy blew bubbles in her drink until she blew to hard and caused her drink to explode all over face. Something amazing happened after that, Rose luck smiled and laughed so hard she made hay juice come out of her nose. That must have been the most fun of her life, she laughed and laughed and laughed. Maybe being friends with Rose and Derpy wont be to bad after all!
After dinner at Corral, we went to Lyra's house, and Colgate found a surprise, Lyra's house was covered in papers and books. "Well this is a very clean house you have, Lyra" Lyra didn't pay much attention to Colgate's comment, she was to invested in the papers plastered all over her walls. " Uh...Mr. Whooves, what is wrong with Lyra?" Dr.Whooves already expected this," Lyra is obsessed with her research, even cost her all of her friends" This did not shock Colgate, she had seen the signs," What is this..." Dr. cut her of, he already knew the question. " The research is about a mythical species she labeled as 'humans', and now she spends every second trying to prove they exist" Colgate was, again, not surprised, though the humans part did. She never heard about them before. "I've never herd of humans before" Whooves had, yet again knew she had not heard of them, "You've never herd of them because, using Lyra's theory, Celestia is covering it up" Colgate was , treated to another thing that surprised her, " Is she crazy, Celestia would never do that" Dr. knew this reaction was normal, many could not even talk about this, but Lyra is to hellbent to see the truth anyways. He himself may not even know it as being the truth. " I don't know if it's true or not but her research shows some pretty hard facts to dispute about humans, and she thinks that if it wasn't covered up then we would know about them" Colgate did not believe but she knew one thing, Lyra needs friends, her obsession is not healthy , and she should not get sucked into it. Lyra went upstairs, they waited 10 minutes and she still did not come back down. " we better go check on her " Whooves seemed pretty concerned about her. "ZZZZZZZZZ" Lyra was sleeping! It was only 7:21 P.M. " Why is she sleeping? Its only 7 P.M." Dr. went over to her desk and found a calendar with the 3 last days crossed off. " She must not have slept for the past 3 days" Dr. did not seem to concerned with this fact. "Well we better leave her alone, come I'll fill you in "
The 3 ponies left the restaurant and went back to Rose's house, since she had no wings she could not walk on clouds. "Wait so in school you put a tack in the teachers seat?" Blossom was finally starting to open up to her new friends, as was Rose. They entered Rose's house and found her place to look like a jungle of flowers. " Man you have a pretty house, Rose" Derpy was loving the flowers in her house, "Oh, I was thinking you would think I was weird, but thanks, Derpy" Rose was smiling and was taking a chance at opening up so much. " It smells wonderful in here" Blossom thought she might as well be nice to her new friend, she was nice and if I'm nice then maybe she will no longer be shy all the time, around everypony. Rose was so happy, she was having the time of her life, she had finally made friends. To end the night they stayed up for as long as they could talking about life, love, past and present, but fell victim to the sand pony. They fell asleep at Rose's house.

Rose woke up and looked to the couch to see her friends sleeping, but her friends weren't there. She got up and looked in the kitchen, maybe her friends were making breakfast. No dice, they weren't there. She checked her clock, it was 9:20, she would be late if she did not hurry. she ran out the door. Rose was late for work and had to run through crowds of ponies. She jumped fences and ran through alleys, and at one point tackled a random pony that was just walking on the streets. "Hey watch where you're going, you could have killed me!" This pony seemed mad, very mad. Rose looked up and saw Blossom sitting in front of her rubbing her the dirt out of her eyes. " Oh, you're right, it's all my fault and I'm to blame" Blossom was so angry she did not recognize the voice. " You're dang right it..." She opened her eyes and to her dismay, there was a pink and red mane'd pony almost ready to cry right in front of her. " Rose, I'm so sorry, I didn't know it was you. It was my fault, I should have looked where I was going. Blossom felt like a jerk, even though she had no idea it was Rose. " I'm late for work, I have to go" the mare ran off teary eyed and sad. " Wait, Rose! I'm sorry. When rose reached work she went into her boss's office. Mr. Page was as old as Granny Smith, and nopony knows how old she is. " Mr. Page? I'm sorry I'm late" Rose was looking down, her hair covering her eye. " Rose, is that you? " Page was old and had to put his glasses on to get a better look at her. " Rose, I'm glad you're here, I need to talk to you. Now I'm old and this store is just as much yours as it's mine so I just wanted to ask you if, when I die, if you would take over the store? " Rose was really surprised, but he was right, this store means a lot to me and if this store closed down Derpy would have no comfort through bad times. " Mr. Page, it would be an honor to take over when you die" Page had always treated Rose like a daughter, perhaps he had no kids. " Rose, me and your father, may Celestia bless him, had been friends forever, I stayed with him until he died of cancer a year ago. I hope you know I think of you as a daughter, but I must leave, take care" Rose was dumbstruck by this recent transaction of power of property, but she was so happy.
Derpy was walking down market street when she saw a teal pony that everypony thought went insane when her friend left her. Derpy ran over the teal pony hoping that if she was friendly then she wont be called insane. "Hey, isn't your name Lyra? I'm Derpy" Lyra looked at the new pony, she could not tell if Derpy was being nice or if it was a cruel joke. " Yes my name is Lyra, and if you'd excuse me I have to get back to doing my research" Lyra was about to leave when, " Me and some friends are going to have lunch later at The Hayseed, should join us" Before Lyra had a chance to answer, the pony had left. Derpy kept walking down the street looking at all the cool stuff for sale when she saw he most magical thing in Equestria. She ran as fast as could, filled with excitement until she reached the stand. Behind the stand sat Twilight, she was sitting on a crate counting her bits. " Twilight, whats that thing on the table?" Twilight looked up in shock. "Its a lava lamp it's..." Derpy cut in before Twilight could finish. " It's magic? I knew it, how much?" Derpy could barely contain herself. " The lamp is 5 bits " Derpy got into the bag she uses to carry mail in and dug out 5 gold coins. " Here take my bits!" Derpy took the lamp and ran home with it. Derpy opened her door and rushed inside, she sat the lamp down on her desk. She turned off the lights and went back to lamp she watched as the blobs in the lamp. The top blob went in a circle around the bottom one, then merged into one. Derpys eyes exploded in excitement and she released a tiny giggle. " Best 5 bits I ever spent!"
Colgate and Dr. Whooves spent the whole day off of work to talk about Lyra and her research. " So for the past 3 months Lyra has been devoting all of her time to finding evidence of humans?" Whooves just sat and nodded. " I don't think its healthy but she wont listen to reason, Even cost her Bon Bon" Colgate had herd the stories about Bon Bon but never believed them. " So Bon Bon was her best friend, you'd think she would stop the research and get her back" Whooves had already thought the same thing. "I believe she thinks that if she can prove that humans exist that she will win Bon Bon's admiration back, but she said she'd never come back until Lyra gave up the human research" To believe that somthing could come between two best friends is really hard to believe but it seems like it's the truth. " Maybe we could ween her, so to speak " Colgate's comment seem to speak to the Dr. " It would be for own good " It was decided to ween her but the problem was how? " Lyra is going out to lunch later this afternoon, maybe we could get into her house and get rid of all the research " That idea was not what a friend would do but it was for her health. " Alright then, we strike at lunch "
Blossom had to meet Rainbow Dash for her daily Pegasus chores. " Blossom reporting for choir duty! " Rainbow turned around in slight surprise. " Blossom, where is your choir buddy Derpy!" Blossom had no idea, she had expected her to be here already. " Derpy isn't here already ma'am! " Rainbow took a second to think about where she could be when she realized that it was Blossoms duty to keep track of Derpy. " Blossom go find her and report back to me" Blossom watched Rainbow fly away into Cloudsdale. Blossom then flew over the town twice before realizing that maybe Derpy got sad and went to the flower store. *Ding* Blossom entered through the front door. " Hey Rose is Derpy here? " Rose didn't answer, "Hm,maybe she's out back?" Blossom went out back to check and found Rose painting a sign that said Rose's Flower Store Rose was to content to notice Blossom standing in front of her. " Rose, what are you doing? " Rose looked up with a big smile on her fave. " Mr. Page gave me his store, can you believe it? " Blossom was happy for Rose but she had to find Derpy. " Yea, yea, congrats. Is Derpy here? 'cause I need to find her " Rose was still caught up in the magic of her new store. " Uh, I don't know but she is having lunch at The Hayseed " If Blossom did not find Derpy soon then she may never earn the respect of Rainbow Dash. " I have to find her! "
