Reign of the Koopa

Bowser and his troops annex Equestria and her neighboring areas after the Mushroom World was destroyed in a fight. We gaze into slices of the lives of the deizens of Bowser's brand new kingdom.

Bowser Koopa: a name feared by the denizens of the Mushroom Kingdom, and a king to a powerful kingdom who's only match was a red-capped plumber and his brother in green.

Now that they were dead, the Koopas could have finally invade the Mushroom Kingdom if it weren't for a run-in with the First Order, who destroyed the planet during their fight. Bowser lived through it, and so did his entire army, who evacuated the planet in time.

The Order quickly fell, and their leader was killed by the Koopa King himself. Now, there was one more goal to achieve: find a new home planet. And that's where the map lead them to. After adventuring through many planets, they came across the land of Equestria. Bowser wasn't too fond of a girly wonderland, but with his planet destroyed, any habitable world will do.

Neither the Elements nor the Tree could stop Bowser from taking over the wholes of Equestria, Griffonstone, and the Crystal Empire under his control. After taking these three nations over and banishing the two sisters, he now has a very strong foothold on this world. But his reign was not one of terror, it was surprising that he would actually pardon and spare the Mane Six even after they shoot a bright rainbow of death at him.

Hold on a second!

Terraforming the planet is one of the things he'll do is definitely going to be expected, but that was not thought of at all. So let's see where this whacky ride takes us, shall we?

Bon appetite.

Bowser: a powerful king feared throughout the Mushroom World. He was no human, but a powerful turtle-like creature with yellow scales covering his body, except for his head, which had green scales, and his snout and belly, which were beige. His shell was a dark green color, adorned with a white trimming and spikes, and the well-groomed feathers that made up his glorious fiery-red mane made him the envy to all hairless Koopa. He is the proud king of Orientalia, more commonly known as the Koopa Kingdom, a powerful warlord state, and the rival to Fungusia, more commonly known as the Mushroom Kingdom, who squabble in land disputes with each other.

But all that had changed two weeks ago. It's been two weeks since the Mushroom World was destroyed, and one week since the aliens have fell. Bowser and his kingdom's denizens have survived the battle, but Orientalia was temporarily rendered a nomadic civilization for the time being. The map stolen from one of the star ships guided the outcasts across space, who only stopped at five planets to gather various food, supplies, and materials that they would need in the search for a new planet.

They are currently on the last of these worlds, a rogue planet of rock and ice, but this is not the world for them to stay. The Koopas were mining for stones to build new castles and valuable ores such as gold, sliver, and platinum along with diamonds and other gemstones to build up the treasury. Already, they were making some progress with building the mine. Pink emu-like birds known as Ostros pulled minecarts that were already built with iron and wood taken from a world where giant white spiders grew into huge trees, which made sturdy planks, better than those flimsy oaks and birches back at what used to be the Mushroom World. Normally, his kingdom would have remained unchanged, but after the battle, Bowser knew that he had to adapt his kingdom to suit the new environment.

It didn't last long until they finally had all the ores, metals and gemstones they needed. As for the mine and the smeltery, they didn't destroy it, but left it there for whatever civilization comes across it. The next stop was where the map ended. The fleet of airships weren't like the blimps and zeppelins of our world, but designed more like the ships of sky pirates of all things. The airships trekked across the vacuum of space at speeds that are faster than light until they reached the goal they were going for: the new planet. Someone walked to the front of the lead airship, and there was no mistaking him for the mighty Koopa King, Bowser. He puts his fists on his sides and grinned at the planet, his sharp teeth glistening against the light of the sun before letting out a laugh.

"Well, this is where Renny-boy's map lead us to. But why does something seem... off about this place?" Bowser said before he magically felt around the planet to figure it out. "I sense it now. This place's magic controls everything through one race. The sun and moon, the weather, and even the plants and animals are managed to such an amount that they are entirely dependent on that race." Bowser felt something else in there. "It was not always like that, it was only for a few thousand years. Welp, that's a new low that I've seen. No wonder Renny-boy's map leads here..." Bowser shook his head before talking again. "Ah well, it's time to start the invasion! The sooner it all ends, the sooner everybody here can settle down and colonize this popsicle stand." the Koopa King said before yelling out.

"Welp, there's one, thing left to say before entering the world's atmosphere... KOOPA PACK!" Bowser said, stomping his left foot on the floorboards. "ATTACK!" he called out, stomping his foot once more before pointing towards the continent, a whole fleet of airships went towards it. About 6,500 airships or so flew into the atmosphere to begin the invasion and colonization of that certain continent, more specifically, a region in that continent. What can I say except it's SHOWTIME!

Monday, at noon. It has been quite some time since the Changelings have been reformed, and things have lightened up a lot for quite some time. Sure, the nobles were still wary, but other than that, things have been pretty good around those parts. The school was opened again, and things were on their normal schedule. Well, as far as "normal" can take you, anyway.

"Alright, everypony, today, let's talk about Equestrian history." Cheerilee, a purple earth pony with a pink mane said to her class as she directed the attention of the foals to the chalkboard.

"History... Ugh! Talk about boring..." Diamond Tiara said.

"I agree." Silver Spoon replied.

"Yes, yes. We all heard that. Now, some of you may think that history is boring, but hear me out. History can be very interesting once you look at it. I think you all may like some of the events of Equestria's history. Now, let us begin with-" What Cheerilee had to say was interrupted by a cannonball breaking through the wall, glowing brighter over time.

"EVERYPONY OUT!" Cheerliee cried. Before they can go out, the cannonball blew up, knocking them back and destroying the school house in the process. She checked if everybody was okay before a white and brown colt pointed up into the sky. They all looked up, and what they saw was horrifying, well, to them, anyways.

Dozens of airships flew above the sky, looking like those traditional wooden ships, except they didn't have sails, but their masts housed propellers that comically made them fly in the air, making them look more like a fleet of sky pirates instead of blimps. And judging by the density and the distance, there are easily far more than that. Meanwhile, way up in Canterlot, three alicorns looked at Bowser's massive fleet of airships.

"Celestia, what are those things?" Twilight Sparkle asked.

"I don't know, Twilight. Those... things, they came from far up into the sky. We aren't certain what will happen if they get their way." the princess of the day replied. Luna sighed as she looked up at the fleet. From what she sees, they are not just targeting the surrounding area, but probably all of Equestria. "We must take haste. I'm afraid we don't have much time."

Meanwhile, at the lead airship, Bowser looked at the lands below with a telescope, seeing the inhabitants of the land.

"Horses. Had to be horses. But, then again, their kingdom will become Orientalia's new heartland. Oh well, anything would do. Prepare the invasion!" Bowser said, crossing his arms as thousands of his troops went down from the boats, Goombas, Koopas, Shy Guys, and the like rode down on Albatosses, flying carpets, and small airships, ready to invade while Magikoopas simply teleported to the ground as the airships began targeting the various cities and towns of Equestria.

"Ah, do you smell that?" Bowser asked a random blue-shelled Koopa.

"All I smell is smoke, fire, and the wine you requested, my lord." the Koopa said as a red-shelled Koopa poured red wine into Bowser's silver goblet.

"Why do you have to be so damn literal. Do you know what I smell? Well, in a rather large nutshell, I smell a brand new land that's just ripe for the taking. The Koopa Army is invading this nation and her neighbors even as we speak. Heh, even if this is gonna be a very easy takeover, it would have been just about time to do a quick drink and a cold, calculated speech with sinister overtones..." Bowser said as he sipped more of his wine. He looked at the city of Ponyville down below, watching the Koopa Army invade. There was no military besides the Royal Guard, which were more bark than bite.

"...one such speech about politics..."

The weather city of Cloudsdale, in a way, had a disadvantage over the rest of the cities, as the airships were closer and the city was in the skies. Paratroopas were in attack formations, attempting to destroy ever weather city as per to Bowser's needs. The citizens were scared of the new invaders, who did not just attack one area, but all of Equestria at once. The Wonderbolts are putting up a good fight, but are losing to the Koopas, slowly but surely. A Magikoopa teleported in, wanting to have some of the fun as well.

"...a speech about order..."

In the Smokey Mountains, a small battalion of Koopatrols and Hammer Bros marched forward and into the valley, only to fight the Hoofields and the McColts. The pumpkins and stuff were no match for the hammers thrown by the Hammer Bros, and the Koopatrol's armor wasn't even fazed whatsoever. They also captured some of the animals so they can eat them in their victory feast. Within a mere matter of minutes, the Smokey Mountains were under the control of Bowser.

"...brotherhood..."

Equestria wasn't the only land that was being attacked. The Kingdom of Griffonstone was also being taken over by the Koopas. While the kingdom had a bigger military and were better trained than those of Equestria, their simple swords and spears were no match for the more advanced technology of the Koopa Army. Lakitu rained down spiny eggs on the flying soilders while Charging Chunks focused more on the ground troops. Some of the Charging Chunks held a bunch of Cobrats or Dino Rhinos on leashes, waiting for the right moments.

"...power..."

Yakyakistan and the Crystal Empire may have had the frozen cold as an advantage, but the Koopas weren't afraid of a little snow, and even those two were being attacked. Fire Bros and Parabones were attacking Yakyakistan as Magikoopa were attacking the barrier that surrounded the Crystal Empire. Eventually, the barrier couldn't handle any more and collapsed, leaving Koopa Troopas able to waltz in and take it. The yaks weren't faring any better as the army marched forth. Another regiment marched through the Yaket Range and aimed to take over the Bug Bear territory. No native being attempted to subdue these mighty beasts. As for Trottingham, it barely had any defenses and was taken over within seconds.

"But speeches aren't for situations like this. Do you know what time it is?" Bowser asked to nobody as the lead airship headed straight for the majestic castle city of Canterlot. He pointed his arm at the city.

"Now is the time for action."

Twilight headed into the throne room with the rest of the Mane Six, who had their Elements of Harmony on them. Turns out that this was far worse than they have imagined. The airships were all over the place, not just Equestria. Celestia was about to speak first when the door burst open to reveal naught but the Koopa King himself. The two guards flanking the door tried to attack him, but Bowser flipped their gravitational constants, sending them through the roof and into the sky.

"Well, well, well. If it isn't the head honchos of this fair land." Bowser said, crossing his arms with a smirk on his face.

"What do you want with Equestria?" Luna asked.

"Land? LAND! I want just more than your puny lands. You see, and may not even know that there are other worlds out there, other fiery suns with planets of their own. I want a new home planet for me and my troops. And yours is just the perfect world to do it, well, aside from the fact that the sun and moon are unnaturally dependent on magic, which makes it hard for astronomy." Bowser explained.

"They why did you invade us? Couldn't you have lived in your world-"

"DON'T REMIND ME! MY WORLD IS GONE! Now, I'm giving you a chance to surrender and join, and I will stop my attack since I'm in such a good mood right now." Bowser said as he walked towards the throne.

"So what do you say?"

"I refuse."

"Why?"

"You invaded Equestria without a second thought, only to ask for surrender on the last second." she said bluntly.

"Try and stop me." Bowser said with a laugh.

"We thought you might say that." Twilight said as she charged her horn.

"Well, then go ahead! Do it! Do some brilliant thing that takes me down right now!" Bowser said as he seemingly was talking to no one and not noticing similar auras began surrounding the other six. The Mane Six had activated their Rainbow Power Forms and were enveloped in a sphere of light.

"What do you have, horses? Everyone's waiting, do it!" Bowser said as the prepared to shoot the Rainbow of Light at him. It hit, that's for sure, but what came after surprised them. Bowser reared back his fist, and with one powerful punch, he shattered the rainbow like it was glass.

"But... how?" was all Twilight can say before Bowser changed their gravitational constant, slamming them into the floor and ceiling two times each before cancelling out the Rainbow Power with another powerful dark magic punch, leaving the six mare weakened and the Elements of Harmony reduced to dust. Bowser laughed, knowing that he toppled this great obstacle effortlessly.

"How? HOW!? Well, to put it simply, I'm the King of Awesome, but since you want to know, I wasn't very keen on letting myself fall by the hands of a girly rainbow!" Bowser roared triumphantly before looking at Celestia, who had a look of fear and horror on her face. She and Luna tried to fly away, only for Bowser to increase their gravity, forcing them down and rendering them immobile, and their magic was somehow suppressed as well.

"I have to admit, not that it would have done anything, that was honestly pretty powerful by this world's standards, and I respect that and their determination." Bowser said as he walked towards the throne, and used his magic to warp the throne to his liking. Gone were the sides, the water and the flowers, and in its place was a throne that resembled the one he sat in on his second attempt to take over the universe, but it's keystone resembled his face.

"But whatever that thing was, it's no longer the strongest power of this world, I am." Bowser said as he walked to his brand new throne and sat on it, smirking as the others had horrified expressions on their faces. The Mane Six tried to get up but their gravity is keeping them in place. Not that, but the necklaces that carried the Elements were replaced with bridal-like objects that suppressed their abilities.

"This marks the end of an era, and the beginning of a new one. Now that those red and green plumbers are dead, there's nothing standing in between me and my goals. Not even you." Bowser said, pointing at Celestia. "Just look at what happened when your little subjects tried to topple me."

Pinkie looked outright deflated, her mane flat and straight, and Fluttershy was shaking like a bush in the wind. Rainbow Dash and Applejack, being the stubborn pair they were, tried to get free from their gravitational prisons while Rarity was trying to look her best and hold her chin up high. Twilight was the most affected, the purple alicorn looked utterly broken and had fresh tears falling from her eyes.

It would've stayed there for a few seconds until the door opened to reveal one of Bowser's newest minions, a humanoid creature who's head and skin resembled that of an axolotl's.

"Ah, Axolon, good timing, you said you have psychic powers, then could you help me with our friends here." Bowser said as Axolon nodded. Axolon's race was known to have powerful psychic abilities, enough to rival that of Discord's own hypnosis magic, but Bowser did not know him yet. Even if he did, the Koopa King didn't have to worry about being mind controlled, all those years of training in the arts of magic made his mind impervious to any invading force.

"Sure thing, my liege." Axolon said as he channeled his mental abilities, aiming right at the frightened ponies.

"What are you going to do to us?" a frightened Luna asked.

"Oh, nothing much. I'm not gonna control you or rewrite your memories or anything, but it won't be long before your minds tell me everything!" Bowser said as their memories were projected like a movie. Both Bowser and Axolon only focused on what they needed.

"That's enough, Axolon. We have what we needed. You are dismissed for the day."

"Thank you, Lord Bowser." Axolon said as he went out the door.

"Now, back to the topic. Applejack, Fluttershy, Pinkie Pie, Rarity, Rainbow Dash, and Twilight Sparkle: the Bearers of what used to be the Elements of Harmony, playfully known as the Mane Six, you six blindly blasted me with your rainbow of death without a second thought, but I have to admit, that blast was pretty powerful, and I respect that." Bowser said as he got up from his throne and looked at the six ponies. "But-"

"Please do-" Celestia pleaded before Bowser interrupted.

"PLEASE don't interrupt me!" Bowser yelled before calming down.

"But if what you said was that I'll execute those six, I won't do it. Normally I would throw ya into the dungeon to be tortured and eventually executed, but I'm impressed that you kids had the will to beat me without a second thought. Even the deceased Mario Bros. would think twice before their next move." Bowser said as he lightened their gravitational pull enough to stand up, but kept it heavy on their hooves so they won't escape. "Anywho, you six are powerful for a couple of teenagers, and like I said before, I'm impressed with you."

Bowser began to crack a smile. "Those Elements of Harmony, while they would hardly do a thing to me, they have the power to take down strong reality warping beings like your old friend Discord, and that's impressive, as I said before. So since I'm in a very good mood with you right now, you are hearby pardoned for attacking me back there, and the worst you'll have is a week of work in the main castle gardens." the Koopa King said happily. Pinkie's mane was about to regain some poofiness before Bowser turned his attention to Celestia and Luna.

"But as for you!"

"Us?" Celestia asked.

"Yes, yes, you! While I may be impressed with those six, I cannot say the same for you..." Bowser said.

"How did you beat them? How?" the princess asked.

"Unlike you, I had far more experience with fighting enemies while ya tried to bribe them, and you let these six do all the hard work for you, which is partially why I'm more impressed with them than I am with you. Even though there is not any high school yet, look how successful they are, success they earned. And to answer your question, training in the arts of magic for so many years has granted me enormous power, enough to surpass your Elements." Bowser said. It was partially true, there was no high school yet, and his strength rivals that of the Elements, but he... bent the truth a bit to... support his claims. "Ya know, most in my power would turn you into warrior slave-queens via mind control, but I just want your games here to end!"

"Plea-"

"Ya HAD a chance to put your claims earlier, but you two wasted it. And don't think your control over the sun and moon can save ya, I'll bridge that gap in a minute." the King of the Koopas said. "As a matter of fact, look at your flanks..."

The two sisters looked to see that their cutie marks were gone. Their manes were no longer ethereal and had reverted to their normal pink and blue, falling like normal hair would. "You are hearby stripped of everything you hold dear. Your former royalty, your guardianship of the day and night, your control of the sun and moon, and everything you hold near and dear. I just said that, didn't I?" Bowser said, snapping his fingers. Two Koopatrols grabbed them by the necks.

"Banish them outside their old kingdom's borders for their games to end!" Bowser roared as Twilight let out a muffled scream through her bridal with tears in her eyes. Before the Koopatrols pulled the two sisters out of the way, Celestia had one last remark.

"This isn't over."

"Au contraire, mon petit pony. Now, you have five days to scram or else, well, you know. Ya saw what happened there, now scram before it gets ugly." the Koopa King warned. Celestia glared at Bowser and then gave a look of apology at Twilight, the former Princess of Friendship, and her student, or should she say, her former student. It was no use, he held all the cards, and they had none.

"I'm sorry. If only I protected you sooner..." And with that, both alicorns went out the door as it slammed behind them.

With the two sisters out of the picture, Bowser got up from his throne and looked at the Mane Six before magically removing their bridals, but still suppressing their abilities. "Now that that's over with and done, I'll send ya to the homes of your parents, now." Bowser said.

"But why? Is that a law or an order or what?" the purple alicorn asked.

"Well, in a nutshell, yes, lemme explain. In my home world, which is unfortunately done for, the individual stays with their parents, uncles, aunts, grandmas, or any parent figure until they reach the age of 18. Goes for each and every one of the major kingdoms and democracies around there." the King of the Koopas explained. Everyone was in a mixed reaction at that statement. He was gonna separate them, but, then again, they miss their families. Pinkie's mane regained some of its poofiness, not a lot though, just a little.

"Now I know this is new for ya, but this land is new to me, and I have to make a good representation after the little invasion a few moments ago and the banishment of your princesses and the downfall of that griffon king. I don't know what happened to him." the Koopa King said as he was about to walk out the door before he heard someone clear her throat. Bowser looked and realized that the gravitational constant of their hooves kept them down. "Oh, right." Bowser said as he turned their gravity back to normal, letting them walk freely.

Twilight remained in place with her head down. He held all the cards before the game could be played. He invaded and conquered Equestria AND Griffonstone, banished and stripped Celestia and Luna and left them to die, usurped the throne, and then he goes all kind on her. This has been one crazy day, and with that, she fainted.

"Ooo... a fainting party!" Pinkie, who's mane had completely regained its poofiness, said before fainting, laying back first right next to where Twilight fainted. Bowser just facepalmed at this.

"Is she always like that?" Bowser asked, getting nods from the remaining conscious ponies.

As the Mane Six's respective parents picked them up, they had various reactions and mixed feelings, and Bowser may have had them as well. When he took over Equestria and Griffonstone, Orientalia's laws now applied to them. The Mane Six were about 14-15 years old, and because of that, they had to stay with their parents until they were about 18. Of course, there are orphanages in Equestria, so he didn't have to do that. The last couple to get their daughter back were Twilight's parents.

"Here you go, she was a little overwhelmed about the whole takeover, so put her in bed until she wakes up." Bowser said as he grabbed the lavender alicorn and handed her to her parents. "As for her dragon, he's out, too, and currently recovering in a hospital. In about two days, he'll wake up and be ready to join the party. You know telekinesis, right?" Both unicorns nodded in response. "Good, now, take good care of her." Bowser said as the parents grabbed their child with their magic.

"Thanks for letting us raise our daughter again." Nightlight said.

"Don't sweat it, though, I supposed that you'll put her in diapers and feed her milk through a bottle for as long as she's with you two." Bowser said with a hearty laugh, and the other two conscious beings in the room couldn't help but to join. "You can go now." the King of Orientalia said when the laughter died down. Twilight Velvet and Nightlight walked out with their still unconscious daughter with them. As soon as the door closed behing them, Bowser sighed and looked out of the window. "Alright, so there's one more thing left to do..." Bowser said as he walked towards the balcony, focusing on his powers, he began to terraform the planet, no, the entire solar system.

He started his work with the sun, moon, and planets. He held his hands towards them and began to work as he began to telekinetically grab the bodies. "Here goes nothing. This is a delicate operation best left to the professionals." Bowser said as he began working on the solar system First off, he'll start with the sun of this system, which was about a fourth the size of the planet. He moved the mini-star 93 million miles away from the planet, taking inspiration from his former solar system and that of Brooklyn's. But he needed something else to bloat its size to that of an average yellow dwarf star, and fortunately, the nights were purple because of the sphere of gas that encircled the system.

Using his power, he worked at the atomic level, he snapped the bonds between the protons, neutrons, and electrons of the atoms of those said gases and reformed the protons and electrons into hydrogen atoms, doing as much as possible to avoid an atomic explosion in the vacuum of space. Sure, he got two or three of them, but all that experience really paid off. When he was done with that, he moved the hydrogen gas and spare neutrons to the sun, greatly increasing its size to that of Earth's sun, and with the snap of his fingers, he activated the nuclear fusion, which won't go out until the newborn star is about the same age as the universe. "Alright, step one is done, now it's time for the planets." Bowser said.

He knew that gravity would pull the planets into the sun if this step wasn't in play. Focusing his powers, he created a fixed speed for the planets, just right depending on the distance of the said world to make the planets have fixed orbits, with just the right velocities for a near-perfectly round orbit for each world. He also made a rotational speed for each planet to finish it, most notably Equis. If he didn't do it, then it would boil on one side and freeze on the other unless air circulation comes into play. So, focusing on the axis of the world, Bowser speed up a rotational velocity to one Earth day, and put the moon at a fixed distance and made it orbit the planet. He did add a little variety, though, as some planets had a moon or two, another would be great for those of the future to terraform, and some of the gas giants had rings.

Smirking at his handiwork, he fixed the planets on randomized tilts, Equis specifically to stimulate seasons and automated weather. When the second step was finally done, Bowser had spent an entire hour fixating the orbits of the planets, but he had one last thing to do in order to seal the deal. But before he did that, he looked down at the city that used to be named Canterlot. The Magikoopas were focusing on not only repairing the damaged cities, changing the architecture to that of an Orientalian style while they were introducing Mushroomian animals into the ecosystem. Speaking of the ecosystem, Bowser focused his magic on every plant and animal in the world, stimulating plant growth to match those of the plants on the Mushroom Kingdom and Earth, and rewired the brains of most of the animals to match the mentalities of Earth's animals, save for the more mythical animals and the species that had built their civilizations (save for the cows, who were pretty much just talking livestock to begin with), as well as the dolphins and the higher primates, who in his opinion, were naturally sentient to begin with.

Now, for the final step to seal the deal. He greatly reduced the magical potential of the ponies and other native magic users so they wouldn't be able to undo all of his hard work. The changelings can no longer disguise themselves, and any form they took was automatically stripped from them. The ponies had some of the greatest losses, but they had at least some magic left. The pegasi can still fly (but can no longer interact with clouds), the earth ponies can no longer interact with the plants and soil (with the exception of assisting in the growth of crops, and the unicorns had the greatest loss of the tree tribes, having their magical abilities reduced to nothing more there mere short-range telekinesis.

As for Discord, fortunately, the chains one of his adoptive children (Koopalings), Ludwig invented specifically to contain magic users had anti-magical wards to keep him from doing any funny business, and he was currently in a cell that his mages enchanted to contain him, and Bowser was still debating on what to do with the guy.

Aside from that, everything else didn't need anything to be changed. Bowser walked towards the throne, ready to announce the beginning of a brand new age. This will change everything.

Back to the Old Homestead

"No..." Twilight said in her sleep, squirming in the bed. Her wings twitched subconsciously as she put her hooves to her head in agitation.

"No!" the frightened alicorn said before jolting straight up.

"NO!" Twilight yelled, opening her eyes in an instant, breathing rapidly at first, but she eventually calmed down.

At first, she thought it was all a dream, but then she began to look around. She saw that she was back at her parent's house, in her old room. At first, she was confused, but when she looked out the window, she realized that her nightmares were all too real. Canterlot, or what used to be Canterlot, looked different. The buildings were less colorful and made more of grey brick. The roofings were more liked those of Chineigh or Neighpon with red tiles. Where the roof meets the walls, black lines with white spikes on them lay, and there was a building or two that were in construction in the background. There weren't just ponies on the streets, but many other species took residence there, races she never saw before. And the real catcher was the new national flag, which bore a logo resembling Bowser's face on it.

"So it really was true..." Twilight said. She got up out of bed and let out a depressed sigh. This is no longer the Equestria she came to know and love. Now, this is Bowser's Equestria, and there's nothing she could do to change it. The princesses are gone and Bowser has bested and neutralized the Elements of Harmony in mere moments. But she recalled that Bowser did say something about the denizens of his kingdom and his world staying with their parents until they reach the age of 18.

"Twilight!" both of her parents yelled as they rushed into the room. Twilight couldn't help but to join their hug, wrapping her wings around them.

"We heard you screaming and went to see what was going on." Nightlight said as the purple alicorn folded her wings back and smiled sheepishly, giggling a bit.

"It's just the nightmare blues, I guess." Twilight said, her face as red as a tomato.

"Oh, silly Twily-Wily, is this about what happened back at the former castle?" Velvet asked as Twilight nodded. She wondered why her mother said "former" castle, but that can be asked later.

"Oh, don't be so sad, Twilight. It got to all of us." Nighlight said.

"When we heard about the news, at first we thought you were dead, but then, as we listened, we figured out that you're staying with us." Velvet said as Twilight looked at her. "Don't be so sad, it could be worse. We are both thankful Bowser left you unscathed." the white unicorn continued.

"I guess you are right." Twilight said as she and her family went downstairs. She was back to the old homestead, which looked pretty much the same even after the invasion happened. She was worried sick about Spike, though. She hatched him from his egg the same moment she got her cutie mark, and he was like a little brother to her. Hopefully, Bowser's troops did not kill him during the invasion.

When they got to downstairs, Twilight's worries were noticed by her parents. "Twily, what's wrong?" Nightlight asked.

"Oh, nothing. Just worried about Spike. I just hope he is okay. I'm afraid that Bowser has done something to him. At the very best, when I deliver a message, it will go straight to Bowser." the former Princess of Friendship replied as they entered the den. "What do we do now?" the purple alicorn asked her parents.

"Well, it's been a rough day for all of us, so how 'bout we go out eat for lunch." Nightlight replied.

Twilight and Velvet nodded back in response as they prepared to go outside to find a restaurant that was still open. With all that in play, they all agreed on going out. Hopefully, a good bite to eat would help them ease the tension a little and maybe forget the whole invasion fiasco, even if it is gonna be for a little while. Celestia and Luna were bested by this mighty beast, and they are most likely beyond her reach by now.

"Well, on the bright side, your brother, sister-in-law, and niece are still alive and in one piece. They're moving back here after the Crystal Empire was annexed, they're back her mainly to protect you and make sure you're unharmed." Nightlight added, lightening Twilight's mood a little. At least she'll have them around. It's a shame that Flurry Heart would never know the old Equestria except maybe from stories, but at least she can now babysit her regularly.

As they walked through the streets, Twilight began to look around the place. Canterlot, or whatever this place is now called, is quite busy, and very different. They came through a bustling new marketplace that was set where a plaza once was. Stands were set, selling food, rugs, and whatever else was there, making Twilight ask something.

"How long was I out?" Twilight asked.

"It was for about two and a half hours, give or take. Bowser's magic warped the outside area to be a little more... homely to him and his followers." the blue unicorn said. "Hopefully, that'll explain why everything's so different all of the sudden."

"So, where are we going?" Twilight asked.

"To this recently opened restaurant down the lane that we're gonna meet the rest of the family for lunch." Velvet said as they went to their destination. It was a medium-sized restaurant with the same style as the rest of the city, and had an outside patio for those who wanted to eat outside. The family went through the doors and went to their tables as some music played in the background.

They didn't pay much attention to it, though, as their attention was focused on something else. Three something elses, to be exact. Twilight squealed in happiness as she almost ran to her target, but kept enough self control not to make a scene in there. Shining Armor and Cadence, and Flurry Heart looked at her and they gave each other a big long hug. "I missed you guys..." the purple alicorn said as they let go of each other. Flurry just resumed sucking on her pacifier.

"We missed you two, Twilight." Shining said as he patted a hoof on Twilight's shoulder as they took their seats. It was so strange to see that the world around you has changed, and it was no exception to them, well, not permanently, at the very least. The entire family sat down and began to talk with one another, mostly exchanging their experiences with Bowser's troops and the invasion of Equestria. Pretty soon, their meals arrived.

Twilight was never into the girly princessy stuff anyway and order her usual hayburger and fries. Twilight's parents ordered salads, Shining Armor and Cadence had their meals while Flurry Heart just sipped on her bottle. Overall, this was a pretty good lunch. "So BBBFF, where are you staying?" Twilight asked.

"We decided to settle not far from you, just a few houses away to keep you safe." the former captain said as his sister giggled in response. "What's so funny?"

"I can live through it as long as my friends still have faith in me. Even if they don't, I at least still have you guys." Twilight said as they went out of the building. As they walked past the construction site, the purple alicorn began to wonder what it was and wanted to know what it was going to be for. What she can tell is that it was going to be big. "Um, mom..." she asked. "Is this going to be the new castle? You said, "former" castle, so is that gonna be the new one?"

"Not likely, dear. That's not gonna be the new castle, its gonna be on the other side of town, if that's what you wanted to know." Velvet said as they parted ways with the other four.

"So, where are we going?" Twilight asked.

"Well, your father's going to work, and I decided that we should go home. Bowser said that you and your friends will work in the gardens next week, and it's not every day that I get to spend time with you..."

"Mom!" Twilight said with a blush as Velvet giggled. She knew that if she wasn't careful, her own mother will put her in diapers and feed her milk for the rest of her life. But that thought was saved for later when she looked at the clouds. They were moving on their own accord, and there were no pegasi moving them. A flock of birds were flying by, a new species that she never saw before, and she estimated that they were likely from Bowser's home world.

She can already tell that this is gonna be a brand new age that has just begun.

History of Orientalia

View Online

Canterlot was gone. In its place was the new city of Nova Troopia, the new capital city of Orientalia. Twilight was recently moved there by Bowser, and she was staying with her parents until adulthood, just like the rest of the Mane Six, but that is not where our current story is. The next little clip of the post-conquest is back at Ponyville, where more stories are taking shape. In a new building in Nova Troopia, two Koopas were busy with Xerox machines. "Alright, so this is the last page that needs to be copied, isn't it, Ronald?" A blue-shelled Koopa wearing a scarf said as he implanted one last page of a book onto the copier.

"That's all of them, let er' rip." Ronald, a brown-shelled Koopa, said as his blue-shelled companion pressed the button on the machine, which was pretty wild since they brought them after their world was destroyed. Soon, tons of copies of the final page were being printed from the copiers in the dozens. "Our boss said these children's books are very important." Ronald said as he grabbed one of the pages and showed his friend it. "Once all of these are copied, then we'll be able to set the books up, Harry. This is just the index. The main picture is-" Just before he was about to finish, he heard a dinging sound coming from the Xerox. "And, we're done. Let's roll." he said as they started packing up the book pages and packing them up into carts, ready for the next stage of making the books. "You're new here, aren't you?"

"Uh huh. You said that they were children's books, why is that so?" Harry asked.

"King Bowser ordered these to be made for the children to learn from at school. At the rate he's going, we're gonna be finished in no time. But then again, it's closed for the summer because one, many of the schools were destroyed during the invasion and annexation of Equestria and Griffonstone and are in the process of being rebuilt, and two, our school system would need to fully implement this. Elementary, middle, high, you name it." Ronald said as he pushed the cart across the hallway.

"So, how long have you worked at this business?" Harry asked.

"About thirty Terran years. Good thing this world and our old home world shares the same year length, or I would have to switch to a- well, we can slide this off. How long have you worked in the business?" Ronald asked the intern.

"A week, if I recall, why?"

"No reason." Ronald replied. "Now let's get these things moving." And with that, the two Koopa Troopas walked into the area where the next stage of the books will unfold.

About two hours later...

Since many of former Ponyville's former resident's were back with their respective parents, the majority of empty houses were left open to Equestria's new masters, who quickly made themselves feel at home, takes the name Ponyville right out of the place. Though, a good number of the ponies, such as the Apples and the Cakes, stayed, while other families such as the Belles and a few families forced out of Cloudsdale moved in for various reasons and whatnot, like some wanting to stay with others, and some of the former nobility, which was completely replaced by the Orientalian government after the invasion and annexation of Equestria and Griffonstone.

Since the town formerly known as Ponyville was damaged a lot during the invasion, many buildings are either being rebuilt or are in the process of being rebuilt, such as the school. A new library was also being built were the Golden Oak once stood before Tirek's rampage. In the place of the Frienship Castle is something else in progress of being built. From the city of Nova Troopia came not the Friendship Express, but a grey freight train that stopped at the station. Out of the cars came various materials that were needed for the construction and reconstruction of buildings in the city, as well as some other items that are to be stored at the warehouse for future usage. A Shy Guy with a blue robe walked in and grabbed something from one of the crates before it was packed. He didn't have to worry about stealing, as he was instructed to hand it to someone.

He put the book in his pocket and proceeded to walk into town. He walked past three fillies: an earth pony with yellow fur and a red mane, an orange pegasus with a purple mane, and a white unicorn with a pink and lavender mane, who were playing with one another in the nearby field. They appeared to be talking to each other about him the moment they saw him, but he didn't mind. The Shy Guy walked past two adults talking to one another, but that wasn't his goal. He pulled out a card with an address on it as he looked for a match. Soon enough, he found it, and walked up to the door, and knocked quietly three times. The door then opened to reveal a dark magenta earth pony with a light magenta mane and tail. "Cheerlie, I've been sent to give you something important." the Shy Guy said as he handed her the book.

"History of Orientalia?" Cheerlie said as she read the title, with widened eyes, she closed the door behind her. "Mane, oh mane. First the invasion happens, then I've been handed a new history book that I'm supposed to teach the children when school starts again and-" she was interrupted by another knock. "What now?" she said as she opened the door again, revealing the same Shy Guy from earlier. "What do you want, now?"

"Miss, you should not get cranky right away, the schoolyear's not started yet. Though, we might begin early, depends on whether the reconstruction is finished, so don't get your hopes up, either."

"Right..." Cheerlie said before slamming the door.

"Okay then..." he said as he walked towards Sugarcube Corner. In fact, he was actually quite hungry, and he wanted to have a quick snack before he goes on his merry way. "I wonder what's on the menu..." he said quietly as he walked to another part of town. He heard of how good their cupcakes are, but he had his doubts since Pinkie was back with the Pie family again. But still, it won't hurt to try a nibble or two.

Griffonstone Fisheries

The neighboring kingdom of Griffonstone was also conquered by the Koopas, and like Equestria, it was taken over and annexed by the invading Orientalians. They marched towards the castle over the course of a few minutes, and the griffons were no match for the more advanced magic and tech of the Orientalians, who stormed the area with little to no resistance as they did. "Alright, put your hands in the air!" the lead Koopatrol said through a megaphone. The civilians, who had no chance of defending the nation, did so as the army casually marched onto the castle, but that was just in the past.

As a province of Orientalia, Griffonstone was no ruled over by alien overlords, much like Equestria. The Koopas were relatively kind to their new subjects, but there was also another discovery that they made. There was an abundance of fish and other seafood in the water, and that's not counting the fish they already sent. And since fish was widely liked amongst many of the races inhabiting Orientalia, they decided to turn it into one giant fishery. Already, giant harbors, complete with warehouses were being built to store crates of fish, with one of them have already been finished and fully functional. "Do you have and threes?" one of the workers said as he pulled out a card to a nearby griffon with an unknown name, who had recently applied for the job. The griffon merely turned his head side to side to say no. "I'll take it as a Go Fish, then? Quick question, why did you apply for the job?"

"Oh, after you know what, I decided to make myself the most, got a job here, a lot of griffons have applied." he said as he flashed back to his apparent... change in position. "Now that I mentioned it, it's much better than being stuck in hiding for the rest of your life... maybe it really is that?" The creature just blinked twice. "Err, let's forget that last sentence." he said as he began to shuffle the cards again. "These old bones have been through a lot, you know. I wonder how your old friend is doing on the boats?" the griffon said as he came out of his seat and looked out the window. "Do you think that he should've been back by now?"

"Another big one, I guess. There's been at least one of those rounds so far. The last batch of fish had a few that were a lot bigger than we needed. A few more crates down and all of it goes straight to the markets." he said. "Oh, by the way, you have told me my name, so why can't I tell you mine? The name's Andrew." Andrew said. "It'll be our shift after the next one, so, care to watch the boats do their work?" he said as he walked toward the window. "We can watch a few cool accidents and maybe we will be able to spy on a few things while we're at it?" The griffon's head reeled back at the statement. "Um, maybe not the latter." Andrew said as he rubbed the back of his head.

"You know Gilda, right?" the griffon said.

"Who?" Andrew said as he looked at him.

"That's for another story." the griffon said, not wanting to reveal his past. "Do you know what happened to the king after the invasion?" he said as he observed the ships come and pass.

"From what I heard, he jumped out the window the moment our armies marched into the castle. Many say that he's good as gone, but they never found the body." Andrew said before he pointed to something. "Oh, look." The griffon looked straight toward where Andrew was pointing towards. On one of the larger fishing boats, a couple of people were trying to get a giant shark. "There's another big one. This is gonna be good." Andrew said as he gazed upon the fight from the tower of the harbor. "Fun fact: shark meat is quite the delicacy to us Orientalians." he said as they watched one of the fishermen throw a harpoon right at the shark's neck, landing a critical hit. Then another harpoon was thrown, this time near the tail of the shark. They watched at they began reeling it back up. "You might be wondering what will happen to the sharks. Well, to be fair, we do breed them a lot, but that's besides the point. We don't just use their parts for shark fin soup and other foodstuffs. The whole kitten-kaboom will be used, skin for coats, liver oil products, necklaces, you name it all. Honestly, mister, I can go on and on. Though, we do have out limits, of course. And it's not just sharks and other fish such as tuna and salmon we target." Andrew said as he and his griffon friend looked at another boat, which was carrying loads and loads of seaweed in them. "It's always just as varied on the sea as it is land."

"So, do you still want to do another round of cards, perhaps poker, this time?" the griffon asked.

"Nah, I'm not interested. Besides, our shift is coming up." Andrew said as they walked down the stairs. "But hey, if this is your first time in these waters, then I can't blame you. I hardly know this place." the creature said as he pulled out a map with his clawed hand. "These maps are very new. Orientalia's lands stretch from a few miles past Mount Everhoof and well into the Frozen North, and go as far south as the desert city of Klugetown. It's pretty vast, once you see it." he explained as the exited at the bottom door, where there were they walked down a hallway. "Our scouting parties are still exploring this strange place even as we speak. Our king hopes to look out into the new world, and he wants to see if anybody else lurks out there." The next room they went to had loads of crates. There were a few Monty Moles and griffons that were pushing a crate of fish into the freight cars of a nearby train on the left, and a few more were doing the same on the right. The two walked through the station/storage unit, discussing what they thought the outer world would look like and how odd it would be. Eventually, they went to the boat, and Andrew looked at it. "Are you ready for your first time aboard?"

"As ready as I'll every be." the griffon said as they walked onto the boat.
