The story you will read will be about how Sombra has returned o the world 1000 years after his defeat o
After being blown to bits by Cadence 1000 years ago Sombra finds himself somewhere just outside the Crystal Empire. While he gains strength to reform his body he thinks about what happed and how he would get his revenge on all who dared step in his way. After he puts his plan into action he learns that it has over a 1000 years after his defeat. He also learns that on of the ponies that helped defeat him has become an alicorn. Now he has to revise his plan. But while carrying he starts to fall in love with Twilight.
It is late December and in the north it is pretty cold there. A blizzard had been happening for a few days. Everything was completely white except for a strange red glow. In the snow laid a horn. Unlike other horns that are straight this one is curved and the color of this horn matches the personality of its bearer. "Where am I" said Sombra. "How long have I been gone." As Sombra was thinking to himself he was gaining strength to reform his body. A shadowy mist came from the horn and made the horn float in the air. Then from under the mist a skeleton started to form. As that was finished muscles and organs started to form. When the heart formed it started beating. Next came the skin. Then the fur started to form on the skin. The fur was gray all the way from the head to the hoof. Then the mane. It was black and it flowed like fire. The same can be said for the tail. Next came the armor and crown. The armor seemed to form out of nothingness and when it was finished forming a cape came and rested on the stallions back and flank. Then the crown rested on his head. He was back the king of shadows. King Sombra.
"Uh I have a major headache". He started looking around for anything that would give him a clue to where he might have landed. But the amount of snow kept him from seeing anything. Then he recognized a shining light coming from in front of him. "Ah there's only one place that can give off that light. The Crystal Empire." After that sentence he froze and remembered somthing from a long time ago.
The Crystal Empire 1000 years ago
"Ahh my crystal slaavess!" said Sombra the crystal ponies were terrified their worst nightmare had returned. "Run he's back!" shouted a crystal pony. Sombra was nothing but a big black smoke monster but you could still see his head and horn and those menacing green and red eyes. Suddenly he felt somthing was wrong in the castle. He felt that one of his traps had been set off. With the glow of his horn he trapped whatever was tampering with the heart and then went back to terrorizing the crystal ponies. Then he heard a voice call out "I got it I got the Crystal Heart." He saw this purple and green dragon with the only thing that could defeat him in his claws. At that Sombra plunged his monsterous body into the ground and said "THAT IS MINE!" Then dark crystal sprouted from the the ground and continued to grow higher. As the crystal was going up Sombra's body of mist was dissapearing and his body was beginning to show. The baby dragon had just fallen along with the heart. Sombra only attention was on the heart. As he got closer he licked his lips. As he was getting ready to grab it a pink blur flew in front of his face. "What the hell was that" said Sombra. As he looked down he saw this pink mare talking to the crystal ponies. Then the realization hit him. "NO stop". As he said those word cracks started forming on his body. But before he blew he slipped part of his conscious into one of the crystal ponies. After that the only thing he remembered is being blown to bits.
After Sombra remembered his painful defeat he decided that he would come up with a plan to get his revenge. "How shall I go about getting my revenge. The first nuisance I what to get rid of is that pathetic little dragon. Then i'll focus my efforts on his friends. Then i'll rid my kingdom of the stench of the pink mare and her husband. Then I will form my army and make a march on the city of the two sisters. But for know I need to gain more strength." As Sombra finished his sentence his horn started to glow. It then shot a beam at the ground and dark crystals started rising from the ground. The crystals were forming something that looked like a miniature castle.
Although small the castle door were big and wide. As Sombra walked inside he made his way to the little throne room he had placed the castle. The inside of the castle was nice and warm. The walls of the castle were a dark red and black going in a pattern. The floor was completely black crystal. and had a red carpet leading to the throne. "This should do until I can get more strength".
Later in Canterlot
In Canterlot castle Luna was waking up from a little nap and decided that she would head to the kitchen for a snack. As she reached the kitchen door she caught a glimpse of Celestia going towards Twilight's room. Luna thought about following Celestia until her stomach growled. Celestia had just reached Twilght's room when the door opened.
"Good morning Twilight" Celestia said cheerfully.
"Morning Celestia."said Twilight.
"What are you about to do" asked Celestia.
"Nothing just going to get something to snack on" Twilight replied. Then Twilight headed to the kitchen.
"Well she seems happier today." Celestia said. But Twilight wasn't really that cheerful today. Really she hasn't been happy for many years. It all started when Pinkie died.
Ponyville 1000 years ago.
The day started off as any other day. Twilight woke up from her slumber and headed to the bathroom. She looked in the mirror and saw she had a horrible case of bed mane. She took her brush from under her sink and brushed her mane back into its regular style. After that she headed to Spike's room to see if he was awake. As reached the room she opened the door with her magic and peeked her head inside to see a teenage Spike still sleeping. She smiled and backed her head out and shut the door slowly. She then walked down the stairs to find something to eat for breakfast. she found some daisy sandwiches left over from yesterday. Spike had made too many for them. So there were many left over. After eating Twilight headed out into the town. Ponyville had changed over the years it roads were replaced with stone instead of dirt. Also some of the buildings were taller. The town itself had even expanded. But every thing had pretty much remained the same.
Twilight thought that she might go visit Pinkie first. As she entered Sugar Cube Corner she walked up the stairs to Pinkie's room and opened the door. Pinkie was nowhere to be found.
"Where is she? She should be in bed." As she finished her sentence she heard a sound from the kitchen. She raced down the stairs to the kitchen. There she found Pinkie who had just dropped a pan.
"Oh hi Twilight what are you doing here?"
"Pinkie you know your supposed to be in bed resting."
"Oh Twilight you worry too much. Even in my old age I can take care of myself."
" But Pinkie I..."
"No Twilight I can care for myself. Why don't you go check on our other friends. Then comeback i'll have a special cake ready for you."
" Are you sure Pinkie"
" Yes Twilight i'm sure. Go."
After that Twilight left. Three hours later she returned. "Pinkie i'm back. Pinkie? Pinkie where are you?" After calling her name she went into the kitchen. "PINKIE!"
Sombra hadn't moved from his throne for over three hours. He was thinking of ways that he would torture that little dragon."Should the punishment be slow or fast" Sombra thought to himself. While doing that he remembered that he had slipped his consciousness into a pony before his demise. Sombra tried to make a connection with the pony but couldn't."What is wrong with this spell? It should be working. I couldn't have been gone for more than two or more years. I guess i'll have to resort to shadowing a pony".
Sombra's horn started to glow and he formed a shadow version of himself. He then shaped to look like a crystal pony. He then put his consciousness into the shadow pony. He left the castle and headed to the Empire.
In the Empire the ponies were enjoying a bright and beautiful day. The little fillies and colts were playing and having fun. Some ponies were working and some were relaxing. It sickend Sombra. Although the little fillies reminded him of sister but that thought was immediately shaken from his head. He was walking through the Empire looking for the stallion he put his consciousness in. He couldn't find him anywhere. "Where the hell is this pony" Sombra said to himself mentally. Sombra walked past the castle and saw the crystal heart. It sent some shivers down his spine. When he was behind the castle he saw a grave with a statue of a familiar stallion. "Him". It was the grave of Shining Armor. As he got closer he heard a familiar voice.
"Like it"
Sombra was a little surprised. "Dammit how could I let HER do that to me." It was the one and only Princess Cadence.
"It's there so ponies could see what he looked like also so I never forget him." said Cadence.
Sombra managed to keep his cool and said "Who was he"?
"He was the captain of the Royal Gaurd, and my husband, also a caring brother and father".
" Of course they just had to make a baby. Great a complication to my plan. Dammit" said Sombra. He then just noticed how much Cadence had changed. She was taller about the same height of Luna. She also had a flowing mane like the two sisters and himself. "My my she's grown". Then it hit him. "It usually takes some time for an alicorn too have a mane like that maybe I should go to the library to see if I can find some information".
"Are you ok" Cadence said to Sombra.
"Huh oh yes i'm fine Princess. If you would escuse me I was thinking of heading to the library."
"Sure go ahead" said Cadence.
After she finished her sentence Sombra walked in the direction of the library. "Should be in the same place I would think." He was right the library was still in the same place it's always been. He walked in to see hundreds if not thousands of bookshelves. All having their own labels
Three hours of looking later.
He had been looking through the history section for hours on end until he found what he was looking for. A history book. "Ah here we go." He flipped through the pages until he found the title THE DEFEAT OF THE TYRANT. He looked through the chapter and saw it gave the entire account of his defeat in full detail. Then he found some names that were involved in the event the names included himself, the Princess, Her husband, Spike which is the name of the dragon he hated so much, and The Elements of Harmony.
"What are The Elements of Harmony?"
Sombra put the book back and asked the librarian where he could find a book on The Elements of Harmony. The librarian told him the section and he went to it.There he found what he was looking for. " The Elements of Harmony are laughter, generosity, honesty, loyalty, kindness, and the most powerful of them all magic. They were originally used to take down the lord of chaos Discord. Then Princess Celestia and Luna used them to take down the tyrant of The Crystal Empire. The Princess Celestia used them to banish Nightmare Moon (The evil side of Princess Luna) to the moon.Then six friends used them to free Princess Luna from her curse. Then to defeat Discord once again. The names of those six friends are Rainbow Dash (Loyalty), Fluttershy (Kindness), Rarity (Generosity), Applejack (Honesty), and Twilight Sparkle (Magic).
"She's the mare that figured out my traps. A simple unicorn. I expected more. But the intresting thing about this mare is that she is the ebodiment of magic." He continued to read the book
"If one of the elements are absent their power won't work."
"Hm that's intresting."
"Unfortunatly the bearers of the elements have long since passed."
"What there're dead" Sombra yelled out loud earning as shhhh from the librerian.
"All but one died 1000 years ago. Due to her being an alicorn Princess Twilight was able to live a long life."
"Another alicorn" Sombra said mentally.
"All the bearers lived in Ponyville. They all had their own occupations. Princess Twilight Sparkle lived in the town library with her dragon her number on assitant that she hatched her self when she was a filly.
"That was her dragon. Should have known."
"The library was destroyed when Princess Twilight fought Tirek. After her battle she earned her self a castle that came from a chest her and her friends had opened together. Even the lord of chaos was her friend. She had managed to reform him with the help of Fluttershy.
Three hours later Sombra had finished reading the book. "I don't believe it i've been gone from this world another 1000 years.
