There was a nice young purple mare with a black mane and a musical note for her cutie mark, she was sitting on a bench in front of her baby laying down in it's crib, the baby was pink with a grey mane and wrapped up in a blanket, sleeping. "Aw, what would I be without you, my dear child?", she asked in a loving voice.
Then, she heard a noise in a bush behind her. She turned around to look at the bush and waited for the sound to happen again. She slowly moved her eyes around to see where the noise is coming from, she bit her bottom lip and darted her eyes back and forth.
A bandit pony was wearing a black suit popped out of the bush, scaring the poor mare. It hopped over the mare and snatched the baby in it's hooves. The thief began to run down the streets of Ponyville.
The screamed as she watched the criminal take the baby away from her. "SOMEPONY, PLEASE HELP MY BABY!", the mare yelled with tears falling down her face.
The bandit was about to reach the end of town, but the run was cut short when a pink filly named Diamond Tiara blocked him and gave a brave glare at him. She was standing with the three fillies who are known as the Cutie Mark Crusaders, Apple Bloom, Sweetie Belle, and Scootaloo. "Mister, you are in a heap of trouble.", she snarled at the thief.
The bandit turned around to run the other way, but was caught by Twilight Sparkle and her five friends. He couldn't run back or the other way, now he looks like he was caught dead by heroes.
The ponies in Ponyville cheered for Diamond Tiara, they all thought that she was a hero.
Except for Spike, he didn't look happy to see Diamond Tiara once more, it feels like he still remembers what she did throughout the years was wrong. He standing with Twilight and the rest of his friends.
The purple mare with the baby thanked the pink filly. "Thank you for saving my child.", she said.
"No problem.", Diamond Tiara said giving the mare a wink. "I deserve pride, I guess."
"To me, I don't think you do.", Spike said with snarl. He turned the left to a quiet spot out of the crowd.
Diamond Tiara got concerned. "Is he alright?", she asked.
"I don't know.", Apple Bloom said. "He doesn't act like that these days."
"Perhaps, and he's supposed to be happy for you, I wonder why he's not.", Twilight wondered.
"Well, somepony's got to talk to him.", Rainbow Dash said.
"I'll talk to him.", Diamond Tiara said following the dragon's footsteps.
"I got to say, I'm the one who has to talk to Spike whenever he feels down, but I guess I should take it easy and let somepony else do it.", Rarity said.
Diamond Tiara finally caught up to Spike, he was sitting on the left side of Twilight's castle. "Hey, are you ok?", she asked. "Everypony seems to trust me. Why aren't you trusting me?"
Spike looked back at the filly and glared at her. "Because, I'm still mad at you about what you did throughout the years.", he snarled.
Diamond Tiara was shocked to hear what Spike had to say. "What did I do you? Or is it with Apple Bloom, Sweetie Belle, and Scootaloo?", she asked.
"Yes, them!", Spike snapped. "All the shit you put them through, you invited Apple Bloom to a party and treated her like nopony loved her, claimed she had a fake cutie mark one time, you embarrassed her in front of Granny Smith, you made everypony believe that they like to sneak around and embarrass them on newspapers, you made Apple Bloom's cousin turn against her, made fun of how Scootaloo can't fly, try to make them feel bad in front of Twilight, and bullied all of the fillies on the school presidential election!"
"I thought you'd be over that.", Diamond Tiara said.
"I wish I would, but no, I'm still upset with you.", Spike said. "How about you think about what they felt about those times or you regret the day you came to Ponyville and got your cutie mark!" With a glare, he walked off.
Diamond Tiara felt terrible, she wanted to make things up with the CMC's family. She headed over to visit Apple Bloom at the barn. When she walked in, she saw Apple Bloom and Applejack snuggling on a hay stack.
Applejack finally noticed and turned Apple Bloom's body around to make her see the pink filly standing there. "Oh, hi Diamond Tiara.", she said. She got all embarrassed. "You didn't see nothing, right?"
Diamond Tiara shook her head. "Nope.", she said. "I came here to talk."
Applejack got off the hay stack and headed out the door. "I'll just give you two some privacy.", she said.
The two fillies sat down face to face. "So, Diamond Tiara, what's on your mind right now?", Apple Bloom asked.
"It's about your dragon friend.", Diamond Tiara said. "What's his name?"
"Spike.", Apple Bloom said. "Did you talk to him, what's up with him, why did he leave the celebration?"
"He hates me, he still remembers all of the stuff that I put you through when you and your two friends didn't have your cutie marks.", Diamond Tiara said.
"Well, you did stand up to your mother, help Pipsqueak become school president, and thought that our marks were unbelievable.", Apple Bloom said.
"I know, I did think they were awesome.", Diamond Tiara said. "But, what if he never gets over those times and still thinks I still have that bully side inside--" She was cut short when Apple Bloom put a hoof to her mouth.
"Shh, calm down.", Apple Bloom said softly. "All those times you treated us was all in the past, maybe tomorrow, you can talk to Princess Twilight and make sure that Spike forgives you."
"I'll sleep on that.", Diamond Tiara said. "And speaking of sleep, I need to get home and get some shut-eye." She got up and headed out the door. "I'll see you tomorrow, okay?"
Diamond Tiara arrived at Twilight's castle at 3:00 in the morning, she went into Spike's room and woke him up. "Psst, Spike, are you up?", she asked. "I came here to make something up to you."
Spike woke up and moaned at the pink pony. "Why can't we do it later?", he asked. "It's 3:00 in the morning."
"I came here to help you find the creature who killed your parents.", Diamond Tiara said. "Twilight told me you were wondering where you were from, and figured I'd help you with that."
Spike was surprised. "Twilight told you what's been happening me since my real family was dead?", he asked. "I thought I told her to keep it personal."
"Where are dragons from?", Diamond Tiara asked.
"I traveled to a land full of dragons.", Spike said. "I traveled for days until I found a mountain full of mean and devilish dragons."
"Will you take me to that mountain?", Diamond Tiara asked. "I want to know what those dragons look like."
"But, first, I need to figure out who killed my parents.", Spike said. "I don't want to risk go there or else we'll lead them into Ponyville and everypony will be in dead meat."
"That could be a good point.", Diamond Tiara said. "Shall we do this?"
Spike nodded. "Whoever that murderer is, I think I deserve a little payback.", he said in a fierce tone. "Oh, and before we go, I need to write a note to Twilight and leave it by her door so she'll know." He got his piece of paper and quill and began writing. Once he was finished, he went over to Twilight's door and left the note there. "Sorry, Twilight, I'll be gone for a while.", he whispered.
They headed out the front door. Spike was thinking that Diamond Tiara should do the same. "Don't you think you should let your family know to?", he asked. "I don't want your family to worry."
"No time, we have to get going.", Diamond Tiara said. "They just won't understand."
Off they went into their journey. They traveled land by land, and they felt really thirsty. Diamond Tiara didn't that much energy to walk when she's thirsty, she tilted, landed on her back, and she was out like a light.
Spike went over to the filly's body and prodded her chest, he's trying to wake her up. He lowered to her ear on all four of his limbs. "Hey.", he whispered.
Diamond Tiara opened her eyes and looked over at the small dragon. "What is it?", she asked.
"I think we made it to the right track.", Spike said. He found a dragon nest under a tree. He ran over to it and found a purple scale. He took a look at it to see if it's like his, he licked it and examined it. "This is my mother's scale.", he said.
"How do you know?", Diamond Tiara asked. "You weren't even born back then."
"I've tasted my scales before, this is what my mother tastes like.", Spike said. He turned and found two skeleton bodies that looked like dragons, they were his parents. He touched the head of his mother and tears ran down his face with sadness. He collapsed on his knees and sobbed.
Diamond Tiara wanted to comfort Spike, but she didn't know what to do.
Spike sniffed the skeletons and smelt the evidence of who the murderer is. "I think I know who the murderer is.", he said.
"Who is it?", Diamond Tiara asked.
"Garble.", Spike answered.
"Who?", Diamond Tiara asked.
"Garble, he's one who killed my parents!", Spike said with anger. "I shall have his heart cracked!" He grabbed wood and made it into a spear.
"Spike, what's going on?", Diamond Tiara asked with concern.
"I shall end his life once and for all, with the help of Spike.", Spike said with confidence. "We shall go up to that mountain now."
Spike and Diamond Tiara found the mountain where Garble lives and looked around for that gaint dragon. They spotted him, he was wrestling with one of the other dragons.
Spike glared. "That's him, him in the red.", he snarled. "No matter what happens, stay behind me and don't say anything."
Diamond Tiara nodded and followed Spike down the inside of the mountain. Spike wanted to sneak up on Garble to surprise him. He found the huge rock behind Garble and slowly crawled up to the top.
The dragons noticed him and pointed at him. Garble got confused and turned around to see the little dragon. "Well, well, well, if it isn't--", he started, as he was cut short when Spike pointed his spear at his chest. "Whoa! Whoa, what's the big idea? What's with the spear?"
"Stay still.", Spike snarled quietly.
"What?", Garble asked.
"Stay still, Garble.", Spike said. "I'll do it, I'll throw my spear at you, it's about to meet up with your heart when we're finished."
"Finished with what?", Garble asked. "What's this all--" He was cut short again when Spike snapped.
"Shut the hell up!", Spike yelled. "I know you did it!"
"Did what?", Garble asked. "I didn't do any--"
"Shut the hell up!", Spike repeated. "I know you killed my parents, I know you did it!"
"I killed your parents?!", Garble asked in a shocked way. "You think I killed your parents, I haven't even seen your parents, I don't even know what they look like."
"Don't you dare lie to me, Garble!", Spike snarled.
"I'm lying?!", Garble asked. "I would never--"
"Shut the hell up!", Spike yelled. "I want to hear you admit that you murdered my parents, say it in front of these dragon friends of yours."
Garble gave a glare at Spike. "No.", he said.
"What did you say to me?", Spike asked.
"I'm not doing that.", Garble said.
"Either you say it or have my spear meet your heart.", Spike said with a threat.
"You think you can kill me, Spike?", Garble asked. "You're nothing but--"
"SHUT THE HELL UP!", Spike snapped. "Say the answer or die, Garble, your choice."
"Fine.", Garble whispered. "I'll do it." In an instant, he turned to his dragon friends and admitted what he had to say. "I killed Spike's parents."
Spike grinned evilly. "That's all I wanted to hear.", he said. "Now, is there anything you would like to say, Garble? This will be your last shot, you won't be alive anymore." He waited for an answer, but Garble never did. Spike relaxed and put the spear down. "That's what I expected, whatever, it's probably for the best." He and Diamond Tiara were about to leave, but Garble finally spoke once more.
"I had to.", Garble sighed.
Spike stopped and turned to the red dragon again. "What was that?", he asked.
Garble was looking at the ground with sorrow. "I had to kill them, because all they were is being nice to other dragons, and I wasn't okay with it.", he said. He took a deep breath and let his words fall out. "Spike,... I'm your brother."
Spike and Diamond Tiara gasped. Spike never knew that he was Garble's brother.
"I grew up with them, our father took me to dragon school, I was taught on how to be a mean dragon, but they didn't except it. I was so hurt, I had to breath my fire and burn them down after you were born.", Garble explained. He gave a glare to Diamond Tiara and pointed at her. "And look at this, look what those ponies made you."
Spike was in shock to hear what Garble told him. "Are you serious?", he asked. "That's all you say to me? You can't be serious, Garble. That's all you say to me is that the ponies made this way? The ponies since they are my friends? No, Garble, it was you,... you,... YOU MADE ME THIS WAY! YOU MADE ME THIS WAAAAAAAAY!"
Garble knew what he had coming, he closed his eyes and prepared for his doom.
Spike's eyes lit on fire. He raised his spear and stabbed Garble in the chest. The dragons gasped with fright as Spike killed the devilish dragon in the land. "You!", the blue dragon yelled. "You killed Garble!" They began running toward him.
Spike pointed his spear at them. "BACK THE HELL OFF!", he shouted. "BACK THE HELL OFF!"
The dragons backed away in fear as the spear was faced toward them. "Geez!", the purple dragon said, jumping with fright. "Hey, you going to kill us to, huh?"
"I'LL DO WHAT I NEED TO DO!", Spike shouted. "JUST STEP BACK!"
"Okay, calm down.", the blue dragon said. "Just get out."
"What's with me?!", Spike asked himself. "What the hell. What the hell! WHAT THE HELL!" He shook and dropped his spear.
Diamond Tiara grabbed Spike's arm and pulled him back. They need to get out, then they escaped.
Spike and Diamond Tiara made it back to Ponyville, Spoiled Rich and Filthy Rich were relieved that their daughter was alright, Spike was sitting down on a rock near Twilight's castle. Twilight approached him. "Spike, are you ok?", she asked. "I found the note you wrote for me, it said you were going to find out who killed your real family."
"Thanks for understanding of what was on that note, Twilight, I didn't want you to freak out about it.", Spike said.
"It's ok, Spike.", Twilight said. "So, who was the murderer?"
Spike didn't want to tell Twilight that he killed Garble, but he knew that Twilight always needs answers and she can fix the problems. "It was Garble.", he said. "He was one who killed my family, he was also my brother."
Twilight was stunned. "Garble was your brother?", she asked.
"Yeah, he was sent to dragon school and he was taught to be a bad dragon.", Spike said. "Our parents didn't accept it, he got really upset with them and used his fire to kill them."
Diamond Tiara came along with the others. "All he needed was the answers.", she said. "He got really upset at him, he had to kill him."
"Spike, killing wasn't the way to fix something, all you need is forgiveness if they made a mistake.", Twilight said.
Spike got up. "I didn't forgive him.", he said. He smiled at Diamond Tiara and walked up to her. "But, I'm ready to forgive you." He wrapped his arms around Diamond Tiara's neck and came in close for a hug.
Diamond Tiara never felt so delighted. She wrapped one hoof around Spike's body and hugged him back. "Thank you, Spike.", she whispered.
"Your welcome, Diamond Tiara.", Spike said. "And thank you to."
